I've just noticed that this thread has had 4820 views so far, plus 1 now :!: :!: It's a very popular cafe, isn't it, even if some people pass by and don't stay for a chat. At least they look in.

I think it is all those gorgeous cakes which don't put on any weight, not to mention the friendly people you meet in the cafe.

Good point, well made Joan. It is now 4820 + 2. We have to keep the ratings up!
I've checked for mice, cats, dogs, spiders and sheep and all looks ship-shape here ready for all the new customers that we hope will be tempted to call in.

Humble Apology:

Dad didn't make any pakoras yesterday for my neice's birthday tea! I had a strop then and there and at mum and dad's (where we had the tea) and was only half joking - I was looking forward to them all day!

So I told them they had to break the news at work and at Val's Cafe. And I told them I wouldn't be coming round anymore if they kept this up.

More pasties and eggs and proper west Cornish cream. I also just made a plate of cheese and onion with salad sandwiches if any one would like one?

hi,ive just sneaked in for a lg bacon n egg buttie.
dont tell any1
as its friday tomorrow i thought we'd put fish n chips on the specials board.ive done all the prep.
ive left some fruit cakes
lemon merange pies
lemon drizzle cake.
chocolate fudge cake
some butterfly cakes
& loads of shortbread
this lot like there cakes.
ive left the kitchen clean for the morning val.
the dishwasher works a treat just tried it out.
be back about midday,told you i dont do mornings.

right sorry appoligies,its not friday tomorrow,wheres my head at these days :oops:
you know i did this yesterday too,hunting around the house for the posters we put up for halleoween.then ask oh were they were as we need them up for tonight.

Its def Thursday tomorrow....... the 5 am thing means I always know Sundays and Thursdays but the rest of the week it could be any day and I shouldn't know
