Well, all you can do is try isn't it? What is this about a knee man Jan? Are they going to look at your knee. I'm trying to catch up with you all. It seems like a year ago since I spoke to you.
I'm eating a bit Jan not as much as I generally eat. I have got to try and eat. Flaring is not helpful either.

at least he said he understands why the meds werent helping much, im not 100% convinced but im up for seeing a bone man
Jan
Well, at least you may find a reason for being in so much pain. You can do no better then seeing a bone man Jan.
If it is that, it looks like they can repair it. I expect they can do it by keyhole surgery which is better much better.
Keep my fingers crossed for you though. (((((())))

Hi to everyone and hugs all round.
Cris I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Milo, there is not a lot else I can say to make things better, but am thinking of you and sending extra special hugs.
Val, you are having a bad time with your knees, let's hope the hospital can offer some resolution as soon as possible, we will be there in your pocket on your next visit. As long as you all come with me next Tuesday, Sister from the ward rang to say, come in next week, 1pm, for aspiration and injection of knee.
She said I don't think you will need to stay in..............."you bet Sister, I was in your job for a long time, so no, I will not be stopping", she laughed and sounded lovely on the phone. Said I will get all my blood and x-ray results at the same time. I am not a candidate for any surgery, due to heart problems, so it is conservative management...............
Julie, hope the new meds are ok and help. Have you cooled down a bit now?
Trish, glad to hear you are on the mend, bubbly nursey hugs and lots of TLC as always.
Right, better take my next lot of pills, they go up and up in numbers........... :roll:XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

I am here, now that the internet connetion has decided to work again. N Night to those who have gone to bed, rest well and take lots of care.
Cold sores, well, if you catch them early, zovirax is about the best, if they are already crusty and such, then you can try blisteze, but not alcohol or perfume, as was once thought. It will be there because you are run down, have had lots of antibiotics and have been really poorly, ideal conditions for the cold sore virus to have its say. A good dose of vitamin C each day, with zinc, will help boost the immune system. You can get the fizzy ones as Tesco's (other supermarkets are available).
Hope you enjoyed your dip in the

For sure I will, quiet and still, just making sure that all is ok.
I can only try and think back to working at least 5-6 days a week, running wards, working odd shifts, nights, days, splits, covering 5 wards at week ends as senior nurse on call..........that was fun sometimes, I can tell you..........then keeping house, as you say, goodness, I can dust a table now and that's me done for hours  my how times change. I think I am 48 or is it 49, one of them, but like you, those in their 90's can run rings round me.
I won't make you laugh when you are full of needles.XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
