    H Trish, I'm much the same really, walking causes me a lot of pain so hoping doc will give me stronger painkillers when I see him this morning. Had a bit of a funny week really, been up to North East to see my parents 3 x in last week, one of those trips was for a family funeral. It struck me really how frail my parents are looking lately, so determined to get to see them as much as poss and help out where I can. Its been a very sobering experience really. Good news is that I've been going to slimming world and lost 1st 6lbs in six weeks, yippee! I still have a very long way to go but got off to a good start, hope I will be able to keep it up.     coughing helps to clear chest so do not worrie about that pal it clearing you tubes so you can breath easyer good luck val.
    right a large t then need to find sandles hope taxi is on time do not want to be late at hospital or might have to wait hours why do i get the jitters just at the thought of going jan in my pocket have to remember hanky in left pocket or poor jan will get squashed. val

    Morning all, Jan hope the cats okay :lol::lol::lol: just had a blood test at docs, got to go back at 11 to see doc about bp tablets :roll: Jan I've been awake all bloody night in pain and I can't take my pain meds till I've seen the doc other wise I wouldn't be able to drive the car :shock:

    This is my first visit to the cafe. This is a little treat for me as S is back at school and I'm not!!!!

    I'll not order a drink, I need something with more kick than a virtual coffee - so am sat with the real thing on my trolley at the side of me. I'm "having a rest" a euphenism (sp?)- for a visit to the forums! I really fancy another bag of ready salted crisps if you have any - I'm craving them at present ...

    I don't think I'll catch up on all the posts on this thread - there are over 1000 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Weather is foul here - I wanted to baseline my walking today to see how far and back I can get on crutches - but the rain is too heavy and I can't risk the crutches slipping - maybe it'll stop later ... Ooh a pink pig just floated by on that big grey cloud ....

    I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    well what a miserable day :(

    done two dog walks in the rain ..... she will only go about 20 yards before demanding a treat :roll: but never has a treat for me :wink:

    Rain rain and more of the ******** stuff :( I wanted to potter in my garden but can't, my hands are saying that they hurt in the rain :( and the rest of me is catching up with them :roll:
