I just feel so down tonight. Really deflated. Every drug they try I react against.
The drug I'm on Cyclosporin, well it is supposed to be good to the liver but attacks the kidneys.
The worst part of all is my hubby is with me and he hears all this. Years ago I used to be able to go by myself so when I got home I would just say I'm ok.
I know this hurts him so much. I wish I could still go on my own.
Last week, he was worried sick when I was rushed into the hossy.
This week well, you know what I mean.
he is no fool and knows what you are going through you know your self that when you do not know what going on you imagine all sorts it the same for him so i am sure he is glad to know even if it is hard for him to cope with does he want to come on here and talk to us we will be there for him as well if he needs usval0 -
Hi Girls, sorry I missed you last night Trish, yep it was a bad one but I;m getting used to them now, got some stronger painkillers from doc, but guess what...the pharmacy have to order them and they won't be here till tomorrow, so I might see you either in the cafe or at night owls later on. I have been to work today, been to a research seminar at York University, it was very interesting.
Well Trish, You have certainly helped me lots, you have given me so much encouragement and helped me to put the dreaded arthur into perspective, not to menion the pm's when things were bad and then those late night chats in nightowls or in the cafe. don't know how I would have coped without all your support and that of all the other peeps on here, so I have a lot to be grateful to you for, thank you so much. I hope you'll be able to keep your spirits up and allow us to to be here for you. Best wishes, Brenda xx0 -
Trish, agree with Val - I hate it too when I can't tell hubby little white lies, but he really is entitled to know the truth. He keeps telling me I'm too independent and keep trying to 'go it alone' but old habits die hard.
Hope you get some sleep tonight, petal. Wish I could share mine with you - I'm sleeping for England at the moment. So tired right now that eyes are giving up, brain went some time ago.........I can see what's left of it snuggled into the pillow.

I'm so pleased that you are able to sleep for England, you deserve it my friend. I can still remember all the late night chats we used to have. With Chris as well.
So it is nice that someone feels a lot better and I'm glad it is you so you can enjoy that garden.
You have been through some bad years, I know that. So good luck to you.

Wonkylegs wrote:HI Trisher I am glad you were not hossie-knapped, but am really sorry to read about your liver test.
I can hazard a guess it is the ALT test that is part of the full blood count that they usually do for me - that has a top of about 45 - 50 and I know mine was up a bit last time but nothing like yours  golly I bet next week feels a long way off right now.
Try to be kind to yourself and not to worry too much.
we're here for you whenever you need us, and please rant away because you need to let it out and Bill can't hear it all the time can he?
loads of wonky hugs & a few slurps from littlelegs too

Thank you. I wish I had not got ill with that infection as I would have seen them by now.
I will try and Google this. When I know what is wrong I can cope it is not knowing that is worse for me. Right I will have a read later and then I know where I'm going.
Thanks Wonky xxx
Ange Thank you for pointing me to here.xxx0 -

I think sometimes that we do our other halves a disservice by thinking they can't cope with what we have to tell them, when in fact they are just itching for a chance to support us in whatever small way they can.
My hubby hates to feel useless and unable to help me, and I suspect that is why I am tempted to keep things from him .... to spare him this worry, when in reality if all he can do for me is worry about me, who am I to stop him?!
I do understand though why you feel like you do ....... you have both been through a lot, and sadly not much of it has been through choice.
sending you very grateful and heartfelt hugs for all the times you have helped me.
please keep posting and let us share some of the strain.
love and hugs

PS - in my book it says the ALT test is sometimes called AST :roll:0 -
