Bubbles How are you? How is your dad?

You won't glow in the dark either, They use a gamma camera, which they bring close to your body, sometimes it touches you slightly, to get the best images, apart from laying still and holding your breath a few times, it should not take longer than an hour from start to finish, less in most cases.

Right, Matron bubbles is going to put the kettle on, take last lot of pills, then head off to bed soon. Am drained with the heat and ache all over.

Oh Trish I hadn't thought of that,I really hope they don't keep you there, you know what will hapen if they do, the rescue party from here will be out to save you and make sure you are OK. Seriously though I hope they do let you go home afterwards and that all is well.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you on Monday, although you might be a little tired and might not feel like posting then. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

    Lots of love, Brenda xxx

He is home now and doing ok thanks, on his new medication regime, from my cardiologist. I have made sure everyone is on their toes, GP has been to see him and matron here is organising things to the last dot and cross. 8)

me, I am knackered to put it bluntly, but, otherwise plodding along. Pregablin is increasing to four a day, can go up to 6 max, see GP in a week or so for another review.

Trish, Jan, sorry, but I am going to have to move, I need my pain killers and am wilting here, getting pains from sitting.

Take lots of care, abundant hugs and XXXX N Night, let's hope we sleep a bit in this hot weather.

    Till tomorrow

Bubbles, glad Dad is doing well; I know how tiring it is with a parent or relative incarcerated in hospital. Add that to the warm weather and your own problems it's no wonder you are knackered!

Trish, we will all be with you on Monday.....and if you are radioactive you'll be able to do without lights indoors. Bubbles, how long does the radioactivity last? Just curious.

The test on Monday, is it a nuclear liver scan? If so, it will involve a small injection into your arm, then wait while the liver takes up the radioisotope, then you lie under the scanner and they take pictures and see where the isotope has accumulated. The injection is ok, apart from the usual ouch with the needle, the isotope is ok, it doesn't usually cause any reaction at all, I was ok with it, when they made me radioactive.

Will be thinking of you and hide in your pocket too.

I'm not sure Bubbles but it must be because the consultant from the Liver unit asked for it to be done.

Well thanks Bubbles, Idon't mind injections.

    Hi Wulf,

How are you doing? I have an awful feeling it is growing all over my garden...we are off to the garden centre today to get all sorts of anti weed potions!! Do you think that I should save it instead, and get a little business going???

    Take care,

Hey Jean and everyone, just dropping in on my way past. I've never heard of goutweed. Mind you, I'm no gardener! If it does indeed have a beneficial effect, maybe you should start a herbalist consultancy Jean! How's everyone else? A little cooler today, methinks.

    Wulf

    Hi wulf,

Off to dads now to have lunch, then going to pick up the two items he won on eBay....got to go miles. What is even worse, he was told he needed an electric bed, couldn't afford a new one, so guess who had to bid for a second hand one. Anyone got any ideas how one man (the hubby) can haul an electric bed up to the first floor of an extra care home???
