    Hi All,

Well I hope none of you got the snow....... We certainly got our rain and it was worthy of the weather warning......... No joke apart I really do have 7 acres covered in water now..... Ankle deep mostly but here and there its calf deep and the fields not covered in water are sloping and throwing water out into the lane wholesale. The joys of winter!

I will grab a builders and another bucket of energy please. Then its back out to look for 2 missing chicken that were taken by surprise b the heaviest rain I have ever seen earlier and now are cut off from the shed by a lake...... Sorry not such a good day here! You could never guess....... Oh joy, now there is thunder as well!!!!

    You all take care x

Jeez, Cris, I wish there was something I could do..........this weather is nasty now, we've had sleet mixed in with the rain and we're hardly on high ground.
    Hope the chix are OK!

    Hi Annie,

Thankfully this is high and no where near a river. Its acquired the lakes mind and I wouldn't want to be on the lower side of here just now, its like a waterfall into the lane....... for 300 yards! I hope the walls don't collapse, they shouldn't but its a low grade fear I acquired..... Hope your river is behaving at the mo and also that Lynn is ok. x

    Hi Chris,

It must end soon eh? Th wind is picking up again and for now its stopped raining so it could be worse. Hope your ok up there? x

    Hi Jan,

Found one and she is back in the shed and I think the other is under the shed but can't bend enough to see and honestly don't know for sure. Hopefully she will be safe, slipper boy and I have been doing fox patrols every hour and its so wet that if she is under there the fox shouldn't come over the lake...... Hope you have/had a good night and thanks for staring the thread about Val. x

    Hi Trish,

One strong coffee and some toast. I am going to grab a builders and a bucket of energy and then go get clean, sorry to be in this much mess here  I haven't been dry since 2 ish today.

    You ok today? Cris xx

Here's what you need, Cris - a very large builders, hot and sweet. Your anti-cat-on-head device made me laugh, I could have done with one of those a few years ago - she doesn't do it now, or hasn't for ages, but I would quite often wake to find I was very hot indeed with a very warm cat sitting/sleeping on my head! Sometimes it was the devil of a job to move her without getting clawed as she hung on when I moved. Her other trick was to lie full length on top of me - that made me even hotter!

We could do with a fox patrol here, too. Not that I've got anything like chix to protect, but the perishing noise they make is soooo annoying in the middle of the night.

Hope it dries up for you tomorrow and your lake subsides. It's p'ing down here at the mo, but the river has gone down a lot since last weekend.

    Annie, Cris

You know why the foxes make that noise is because they are mating, when they have done. eeeeemmmm They cannot get free they are like that for sometime.

It's the Him that gets stuck, he gets caught

trish xx who thankful she is not a fox

No, Trish, I slept for far too long this afternoon. I did go up and try for a while, but gave up when I got the restless legs bit.
It's absolutely throwing the rain down here and the wind has picked up, too, but I think it's not now as cold as it was this afternoon.
We're supposed to have an awful day tomorrow, but the river has gone down a lot since last weekend, so we should be OK.
I don't know what that ear ache was all about, but that day we had had the first really cold wind and I think that's what did it.

Like me, felt rough, went back to bed and fell asleep. The nurses left me asleep.

now my hands and neck are bad? My fingers feel like I've broken them, they hurt that much.

If that river gets high and overflow could it reach you??

    Hi Trish, Debs and Annie,

Just dd a bit of out door fox defending...... Bit odd this time of night but the chicken is under the shed and I just can't reach her! It hopefully will hold cus I got to go sleep for a bit.

You all have a good night and Annie hopefully it wont rise much. I feel guilty cus all this water drains down from me and well I really don't know how big the puddle across the lane is now...... Technically it belongs to S.W. Water........ They have this thing all rain water is their's so they can meter our rain holing tank.... So let them come and get it all is what I say!:lol::lol: xx

    Sleep well everyone..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Hi Joy,

Sorry flower.....:lol::lol: Quick bring some sunshine here please :lol: xx

    Mornin All,

The chicken survived the night, she is still under the shed but I will get her out when I get home from the sale if she hasn't come out on her own. No fox prints near so they didn't come. Not surprised in that weather..... bad yet again but it is winter I guess...... Just with the summer being so we the water table is too high hence the lakes.......

    Hi Toni,

Could you wash this lot as well please  I was groveling in mud half the night, by torch light! xx

    Hi Jan,

Would you like a refill? x

Right I will grab another builders and a bucket of best energy and see you all after the indoor sale...... amazingly the out door one is cancelled!

You all have a god day, Cris xx

Well folks, how are you Sundays going? Sun is shining beautifully here. Had a hail storm earlier, Whizzed past the office window here and shouted 'Hail'

Have just baked a lemon drizzle cake and a couple of Victoria sponges with cream and strawberry jam. ok :?: :?:

Please please please let that be the last Christmas card
Haven't touched the ironing yet, and no. I will not do dirty raincoats and yukkkkk who's :?: :?: :?: underpants.

Hubby has gone over to watch the match with son, so I am on my own. Hurray He said that he felt guilty leaving me. I could have gone and sat with Jacquie, but after y'day, think she would be all in. Anyway, told him that he had to cook the dinner when he got home. :):)

Right, one last cup of coffee, and will definitely get that ironing done. Thanks for doing my jammies

We've got heavy rain showers with the odd gleam of sun in between, have had a couple of hail storms.
Joy, I'm doing my usual best to ignore the ironing (and my best is very good). But I must go and do something about the bed (I could definitely lie down on it) and sort out the towels.

So I'll have a large builders to keep me going and a bucket of energy if there is one defrosted ready, then go and finish off the chores.

Then I might get down to the rest of the Christmas Cards!
