Jen, you've hung in there so well! Not much longer to go, and I hope they can help you when you see them next week.

For the record I found the last 3/4 weeks painful, annoying, tiring (very), boring and a complete drag and I hadn't even heard of arther then!

As with everything else, it will pass...........and then you have such a lovely present at the end of it all.............keep going, girl!

    pacing...yes
smoking..no...it's bad for baby don't you know.

hope you've been practising those breathing exercises though. :!:

...and what about changing nappies? ...and bathing the baby?
I don't remember anyone saying they went to parenting classes.

such a lot to think about now...what a responsibility.

Thanks guys, all the support means a lot. Am sat here with my feet up in the sunshine enjoying the peace and quiet before the screaming bundle of chaos arrives.
Everything is ready, bags are packed and new nursery curtains are up. My OH is rattling through his list of jobs.
Most things are organised, all we're missing is the baby now. We know its a little boy and we've picked a name but we're keeping it a secret until we meet him (just to make sure it fits).
I've even got my labour tens on to help with the hip pain (its just the same as my normal tens but with a boost button that I'm too afraid to push yet - as I'm not in labour!). We're off for a visit to the delivery suite tomorrow and I hope that he gets the message and arrives a week or two early as my OH is getting a little fed up of me stealing his socks (my feet and ankles are swollen so his are easier to get on - but OH has to do it as I can't reach my feet).

Thanks again everyone and I'll let you know as soon as he makes an appearance. (My family are taking bets on dates - his 'official' due date is 29th April - any suggestions?!)

Do you think we should start pacing up and down?

not yet we will all be shattered by then. what about we practice wetting the babys head so we get it right on the night

    Hi Jen,

He will be sooooo worth it when he gets here. I'm betting for the 20th. Get hubby to take the laptop into the labour suite then he can type us through it 'cos we'll need minute to minute reports.

We'll be with you every step of the way :D

My great nephew was born 2 weeks early yesterday. They've called him Joshua Lee ....which I'm very relieved at because they were going to call him LOGAN  Hope that's not your chosen name ....sorry.

    Hi guys,

Had a tour of the delivery department today, which was good as it answered a few questions. Seeing the rhuemy tomorrow, which will hopefully make me feel better.

I'm definitely ready to get this show on the road!!

    Cheers for the continued support.
