    Hi Jen :D

so glad you got a supportive midwife who's sorted out pain meds and keeping a closer eye on you.!

It's a good sign too that baby's head is partly engaged...he's thinking about making his entrance the right way round...clever boy!!

I hope you do get a bit more rest and feel less 'crappy' tomorrow. If the sun shines then sitting out in the garden sounds just perfect.

take good care...love to you, hubby and 'Stanley' bump.

    Iris x

Joan...no, my twin sis doesn't have arther...nor any of my other three sisters.
I'm so glad they don't...wouldn't wish it on anyone. xxxx

No sign of baby yet. A week and three days til due date. Properly struggling unfortunately. GP was worse than useless (just wanted me to take more pills) but crying at the maternity department seems to help - going to see baby consultant on Wednesday. Not sure what they can do (magic wand?!) but just need someone who's medical to care as they have a tendency to pass the buck.

Keep your fingers crossed that baby shows up soon as I've reached the end of my tether!!

Hi Jen....so sorry you're struggling and it definitely doesn't help having a less than useful response from the gp . :( :?

fingers, toes and eyes are all crossed that your lovely baby boy arrives soon.x

hope on Wed. the consultant is more compassionate and is able to help meantime....... and that you can get some degree of comfort. x

you've doing really well Jen coping with the pain of arther and all the discomforts that you've had during your pregnancy. keep your chin up. we are all thinking about you and sending you strength and lots of love.

    Jen

Why don't you have a go on one of them bouncing balls if you can find one. They are good for helping baby along...........don't fall off though.

When my son was born well I don't drink but the night before I had a glass of cider, it was my cousins birthday so I opted for the cider saying that could not do any harm.

We went home went to bed and I woke up my waters had broken.

So try a drop of cider :) I think I will join you. :D Cheers.

He don't want to come out and get covered in ash, now there is a clever baby.

consultant may suggest inducing you as thats what mine did when i was close to due date but in alot of pain. he offered to give me a sweep but i said i'd rather come in monday (it was a friday that i saw him) and be induced. i was given the pessary at about 9 am and everything happened quickly, luckily!!
fingers crossed they can offer some help, let us know!

For all of you lovely people watching this thread - I've only got a maximum of two weeks to go.

We saw the consultant today who wants to induce me in two weeks time (5th May) if the baby doesn't make his own way into the world before this date. He's given me the option to be induced earlier than this if I can't cope anymore (he went through the pros and cons) I just have to contact my midwife and shout help. Lovely man. He said the baby was fine (and not at all engaged like midwife promised last week - think she was just trying to cheer me up) and the induction would be done for me (humane reasons - his words) rather than for the baby.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

Well, I was close, might still be right I picked 5th May, honest I don't know your consultant.

So now come on baby, hurry up. We all want you to arrive now.

    Hi Jen,

hope you are feeling better today and in less pain. It's good you have been given the option of induction so if it all does get too much...remember to hit the 'help' button if you need to.

Your little boy is going to be a star when he arrives :D and has all us forum aunties and uncles on the edge of our seats just waiting to hear he has arrived.

not long now Jen. take care and put your feet up if you can :D

    Hi guys,
I'm doing ok thanks. Feeling a bit better than I did on Monday Fibro-wise. I'm mega uncomfortable baby-wise though! Have decided to go on lots of little walks throughout the day to keep me mobile and to encourage the baby. My pelvis is better if I keep moving (RA in lower limbs are not so comfortable and would prefer rest but they are being over-ruled!).
Having loads of very bad period-type pains and braxton hicks especially at night, which I've been assured is a good sign but does keep me awake (about 3hrs a night for past two nights) but I rest during the day to make up for it. I'm using these pains to practise my breathing and have decided that it means that when these pains become regular (i.e actual contractions) then I won't be worried that I'll freak out and be a complete wimp at the second contraction!
Don't worry, I'll keep you all updated!
    Jen
