Better sit down for the day as there is no sign yet.She will let us know when the waters break and/or the contractions start if she has time!

Well rheumy wasn't massively helpful as its the fibro rather than the RA causing me the trouble. I did point out that giving it a name doesn't take the pain away. But its good that the RA seems fairly quiet so its not damaging the joints.
He didn't use the phrase 'grin and bear it' as I would have clocked him one but that is the general gist.
So anyone got any ideas of how to get the baby to make a slightly early appearance (he is technically full term as they class 37-42 weeks full term and I'm now 37wks)?
Cheers, Jen0 -
Hi Jen,
Well..... um.... thunderstorms and being chased around works for lambs and foals......

A friends sister had a sudden energy surge and painted the kitchen walls the day before she gave birth. Maybe best just to put your feet up while you can.0 -

Hi Jen,
When I was expecting my first child my mother gave me a tablespoonful of cod liver oil and suggested a hot bath to bring on labour.
The cod liver oil was so disgusting, slimy, smelly and made me physically sick....the hot bath at least got me clean again.
As it happened Carol was two days late!
Your little son will have his own 'timetable' and so nothing you can do is likely to influence him!...he'll be well worth the wait. x
keep well Jen,

my eldest ellie was due 16th of march and was born on 11th of march.
sarah was due end 31st january but i was induced on 15th of january due to bad spd and hip pain. i could no longer cope with the pain and so specialist thought it best.

How are you Jen :?:
hope you've got your feet up and OH looking after you and babe.
looks like a lovely day so may be you could enjoy the sunshine sitting out in the garden today.
keep well.
Iris x0 -
Hi Jen, how exciting.
Congratulations, what a lovely thread. Do hope you are resting up and enjoying the sunshine. Rehab don't overdo it with the pacing just yet you'll be needed to do that soon enough.
Iris, Jen think I will pick the 22nd.
take care Jen, not long to wait now.

Well, I'm sat with my feet up eating an ice lolly. The baby has hiccups and keeps stretching, which makes sitting anywhere and even lying down fairly uncomfortable. My hospital bag is in the boot of the car just in case we are out and about (husbands organising this so has to go in the boot nice and early - have pointed out that babies tend to take their time).
The sunshine is certainly making me feel better and I've been pottering in my greenhouse and have some veg growing nicely.
My mum is coming round next week to help me clean the house ready for the baby. Very organised.
Hope you are all having a good time.
Jen0 -
Hi Jen
It's nice to know that you are all ready for the big day when your baby son will make his appearance. What an exciting time for you and your husband! Enjoy the sunshine, and make the most of your last few days of tranquility!!0 -
Jen, this is the best time of year to be having your little one, with the rest of the Spring, then the Summer, and Autumn, for him to grow into a big strong lad, ready to face his first winter.
My two sons were each born at the beginning of June, both in World Cup years.......1962 and 1966. I had a holiday on my own nine months prior to all other World Cups!!
I`m going to guess on an arrival on May 1st.
Keep well, and happy..........Ange.0 -
Hi Ange
i went into labour after Liverpool scored in May 1984 European cup final.i think it was Phil Neal who scored. i missed the 2nd half of the match as in hospital.I remember jumping up as they scored and shouting and that was it....this was my 1st babe.I gather your sons support Liverpool( and you too?).

Hi Jen!
glad to hear you're enjoying this lovely day!..... baby hiccups, bless... you're little boy has already developed likes and dislikes!
you and hubby are really well organised and it's good that your mum is helping with the house clean next week.......it's nice for granny / nana's to feel involved!
We are so excited and pleased for you both Jen....and it's so thoughtful of you to let us be involved too!!!
I think rehab has collapsed with all the pacing and worrying he's doing....we'll have to give him a skoosh of gas & air just to keep him going.
lots of love to you, hubby and baby bundle.

"Support" is not a strong enough word for my two Elizabeth. They are fanatical. You have brought back some wonderful memories of that night in `84. Probably the most exciting game the Reds have ever played. They won on penalties. Frank had had a heart attack in `83, and I was terrified. He watched until full time, but we said no way was he watching the "pellies". So I took him down to the bottom of the garden, until we heard the screams of joy. Happy days! I`m not a real supporter, just outnumbered.....Ange.
Sorry if we have highjacked your thread Jen!0
