A big Thank YOU Toni, for doing such a superb job, keeping us updated throughout the whole day.
You have it off to a fine art now, after so much practice!......Much love........Ange.x.0 -
Excellent news Toni!
Cris, well done - I'm so proud of you!
Loads of love and hugs,

Well done, Cris..........you are such a brave maid.
Did I read somewhere that they'd left the line in for you? Hope it stays in place ok.
I seem to have damaged my elbow in that rugger scrum this morning - I can't see it properly, but it looks like a sheepsis has nibbled it?
Love

Hi Cris
Whew, one day over, roll on Friday, that's what I say!
Hope you have a peaceful night at home and that tomorrow passes quickly.
Marion xx0 -
Hi Cris
Been thinking of you today and do hope you are now resting up and gathering strength for tomorrow. NO armchairing please!! The rare and well loved Cornish skezier needs her bed if she can make it there, after such a bad night last night. Am lovin the Attenborough bit DD. Thanks for the updates Toni.
I am sending so many hugs, strength and anti-sicky vibes your way Cris. ((((( ))))) Hope you do start to feel better there soon and that the week is soon over for you. At least know that we are all thinking of you and will be pocket dwelling again tomorrow. Hang in there Cris.
Much love
Chris xxx0 -
I have been trying in vain to get hold of Sir David but with little success: I think he is away tonight researching the little-known (and regional) Skezier breed: he thinks there may be one in Scotland, possibly disguised as a deer, one west of London, disguised as a flower and one somewhere in the Midlands, disguised as an armadillo. Apparently Skeziers take many forms, depending on their environment, but the Cornish one is extra special for those who appreciate skeziers. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi All,
Ahhhh Tea!
Starting to feel better now and I really am quite overwhelmed at all your support...... I am sure I don't deserve it.
When I looked in earlier I was not feeling so good and about to ask them to drop the dose down (it eases if the dose drops) but when I saw all the messages I kept quiet... besides I saw Legs in the corner and she was mouthing 'don't say it!' The Iris gave me a cuppa, Toni gave me another and I distinctly heard you all quietly muttering 'I hope she doesn't' s I didn't...........
You are all so wonderful and your always there for me and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
Drip weeks are hard, they are getting harder as I grow older and my circulation resists the dilatory effect...... I do need them, they improve so much more than just the circulation cus for a while I have enough blood and O2 to support me properly..... but.... there is not such thing as a free lunch. Its an evilish drug!!!
Right so... what you going use tomorrow?! Be better after tomorrow as there will only be 2 days less..... got good anti emetics and for that I am so pleased.....
My love and thanks to you all and I honestly can't thank you enough. Cris xx0 -
Well, the snowplough, Cris! It was waiting in the wings today as backup, but since some of us have retired hurt after this morning, it will have to be the plough. I have padded it comfortably and it has a self service tea bar.........OK?
Glad you got through day one.........ever so much.
Annie0 -
Hi Cris, Your doing so well love.
Im sorry im not about during the day,it takes me so long to get stuff round the house done i dont get chance to catch up on here til this time.
I hope your resting now & feeling better. I know it knocks you about so much & i feel for you everytime this comes round
Take care & you know im thinking of you.
luv debs0 -
Hi Annie,
Glad you padded it... though having been weighed today i think I might have enough of my own
Thanks also for not bringing the eels.... never felt the same about them since I evidently spooked a conger ((( ))) and hope your feeling a bit less sore? Cris xx
Hi Debs,
It does knock me about a lot but since the extra strength anti-emetics its been so much easier..... well a bit easier anyway
You never have o apologise ok! Besides Snowy was in his nurse costume under the directorship of Miss L. Legs......
Gong to get a cuppa... its that which I miss the most.... better than lucazde ((( ))) and a cuppa and egg on toast xx0 -
Hmm, that egg on toast and cup of tea sounded good Cris, hope you enjoyed it!
Best of luck again for tomorrow.
DD - really enjoying your David Attenborough pieces.. keep it up!.
Marion0 -
skezier, my lovely girl, I hope you are in bed. If not, GO TO BED NOW. And yes, that is me yelling! Please do not armchair tonight, you need all the advantage you can get from a night in bed. Please, hun, please. Thinking of you: I think you have been incredibly brave, incredibly tough and, as usual, I am humbled by your courage. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Cris
huge hugs coming your way from all of us here ((((((((((()))))))))
so proud of you for getting there today and for coping as you have.
sleep well and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, and Miss L Legs will be there with you all the way (did I mention she bites ankles if one loiters too long or turns back towards home )
hope tomorrow finds you more rested and the line still working
WONky
PS - DD & TOni you are excellent at pigeon post duties thanks0 -
Hi Cris,
Yeah, one down only three to go
Hope you are in the land of nod by now. In Bed not the dreaded chair!!
Well I'll be giving you a gentle but firm push in the back to get you going tomorrow. Great that the lappie is working. Well if you can go and get a bit of fresh air every now and then that's not so bad
Hope the lodgers are being good. Hey do you think they sneak in to watch TV when there waiting for you to get back? Would not be at all surprised.
Love and hugs from Ix0 -
Hi Cris,
Hope you are feeling better , sorry i'm late with support not been on much , if you feel sick soda water is good my mom takes it.
((((hugs)))) for you and get lots of rest .
Will be thinking of you
Rose x0 -
Mornin......
The feet are not quite so dragging today ...... though define 'not quite'
I having a quick look round..... can see a few people lurking about but Primmy has agreed to do deflection duties and I can see Jan introducing her to Val, Coco, Lulu, Pennie (what have you done to your face Pennie?) Hileena, both Carol's, Caroline, Daylilly, Fayann, and Colin. Why ever Jan says she is MY Primmy, excluding the fact she has a rel owner as well
Put a plate of fresh eggs and toast out... think that's got Marion sidetracked.... Couple of people fighting over smelly cheese with the sheep, that's got to be Nearly and Toni..... For what its worth my money is on the sheep....... Tilly is sidetracked by the Deer who is so sweet.... DD is getting her Attenborough suit on in the changing rooms.
Annie has been totally captivated by Rowan, Wonky has Rose helping her and is clearly in charge of getting the nurse costumes on the dogs to Miss L. Leg's satisfaction.......Bless you Wonky you could be sometime there
Now I reacon if I could just sneak out the side I could be over the fields and far away cus I know my way better than you do.... Ah...... Louise is here and she probably knows it as good.......and with her she seems to have Rita, Chris, Julie, both Joan's, Breanne, Do, Sally, Sue, Trish, Barbara, Silly Swede, and I see Louise is issuing maps of the surrounding area so that would never work.....
Ironic and Debs are in the snow plough and Legs has seconded Iris, Elna and Ange to the lamb and treat trail.......Sharon is blowing me a vail of bubbles to follow...... There is no escape is there.... I shall have to go.......
The line isn't hurting much so maybe no good though it does hurt if you do this (yeah I know don't do it then  ) s it might be able t nurse through one more day.
I done the indoor water, fed the cats, done the trays and shall watch Arthur and Tracy beaker and then get gone........ I should be embarrassed but... I'm not
Thanks again to you all and I hope you all had a reasonable night and the bones are being kind to you.
Can' be worse than yesterday can it.... and I know I am not going alone so thank you all so much. Cris xx
I really hope I haven't forgotten any names but I promise you I know your with me if I have.0 -
Hi Cris, so glad to know you are feeling ok enough to try to hatch another escape plan! But we've got you covered and you won't get away!
Right, padded snowplough is revving up, the tea urn is bubbling away in the self service tea-bar (love it Annie) so all we need now is you Cris!
Really, really good luck again today.
Lots more (())))s and buckets of courage coming your way - and the deer will be waiting for you when you get there.
Lots love Tilly xxx0 -
Hi Tilly,
I am keeping the mobile tea thing with me You can't get decent tea in there and I have to drink coffee... just not the same!
Hey the deer was there yesterday actually.... as the bp drops the pregabalin seems to get stronger and the dreams more vivid.... I really do know that bit of your garden so well
I know there is no escape...... You lot have it covered
The inner child is screaming I don't want to go though
You want to watch Arthur with me before we leave
Thanks Tilly for being there. (((( )))) Cris xx0 -
Morning skeizer
been and got a crate of lucazade that should do for today.
But here is a nice cup of tea to start off with. I am just outside the window keep peeping in so that it feels like home. (the fish bowl scenario and the lodgers) Brought a tv too.
Glad you don't fel too bad at the moment and hope the day goes well.
will pop in later in day to see how you are doing
Take care
love julie pink flamingo x
Thanks to toni and DD for all your updates. X0 -
Hi Cris, and morning Julie
Yes, I’ll watch Arthur with you – so long as you promise to leave as soon as it’s finished!
I’m with you on the coffee thing. Yuk! To go through all that without a decent cuppa is not on Cris is it? So sending a big flask of tea with you too, as a back up, in case of tea-bar malfunction!
That’s a lovely bit of the garden isn’t it? I imagine it well too, even without the pregabalin!
I know you don’t want to go Cris, but you don’t want yesterday to have been wasted do you? You can do it!!!!!
More (())))s and courage Cris.
Lots love Tilly xxx0 -
Morning skezier, I know you are feeling reluctant but sometimes the inner child just HAS to be ignored and the responsible adult allowed to make an appearance - talking of which not a sound from the Sir D Attenborough suite in my house, he returned very later last night after somewhat of a debauched evening, judging by the state of him. Twigs, leaves, moss, scrapes of what I sincerely hope was mud decorated his person from head-to-toe. I think he was on the trail of the more rural skeziers - tonight I shall persuade him to check out the urban ones, they are probably easier to find, cleaner anyway. Countryside = messy (most of the time!) Anyhoo, good luck old girl (as Mr DD says to me on Wednesday mornings): you know it's helping despite its lowering initial effect, you know we are there with you in spirit and at the end of phones and laptops, keep in touch if you can, I will be thinking of you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Julie,
You know its only when I feel ill I like lucozade so a create is most appreciated! I tend to feel that ill Iris said its to do with the glucose in it.... mind.... having been weighted....   ((( ))) and a hope you have a good day. Oh some flamingo seed as well and Owns said she is glad somebody thought to bring a tv Luv the resident goldfish xx
Hi Tilly,
Don't even start me on the food......Did think of taking a flask but they are so kind to me in there and so good to get me coffee out of turn I don't want them to know I think their tea stinks
You lot have it covered so I had best go get clean....
Your right though, after the first day it would be such a waist to not go one .......
but......
I could get a note (((( )))) Cris xx
Hey DD whats a responsible adult
i will tr to be a bit better today and use the laptop a bit more...... Can't promise though.....Its not a nice drug yelled the inner one x((( ))) xx0 -
Well I for one am not writing it for you! Get thee to the hospital girlie! Otherwise we will all be very cross. Understanding, but cross. Caring, but cross. Sir D has told me that skeziers do not react well to crossness, but they do react OK to CDM. YOu will get some CDM for the 'feeling better' days ahead, I promise. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
Thanks DD..... CDM will always work
Own's would have written the note but Julie has a tv with her.....
Got to go flower ((( ))) and I so hope this line will nurse another day... xx0
