A note?! A note?! And who's going to write that for you then Cris? A neat little trick, but I don't think so!!!!!
You are such a sweetie, always thinking about the feelings of others and not wanting to upset peeps at the hospital about their tea. Oh Cris, you should just take a flask with you - and tell them it's herbal tea or something so as not to offend them.
I am now sending you my special invisible tea flask, which should overcome the problem. It's also bottomless, so you won't run out, it never goes cold and it has built in, slow release, triple strength courage, so you will get a goodly dose of courage with every sip.
Lots more love Tilly xxx0 -
We're with you. All the way. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

I wonder how many of you thought there was thunder this morning? How many of you heard the dragging sounds of chains?
Good news it was neither of those, but itwas our friend Cris dragging her feet in the direction of the hospital for her (much needed, but must detested) bi-yearly drip
As most of you kow she will go every day this week (unless they are able to get it down to only 4 days) and each day gets harder as they struggle to find a vein and she feels more and more sick
She needs this drip - it is essential unfortunately and has kept it quiet on here.
So....
I am asking you all if we can do our best to keep her spirits up this week - make her laugh and know we support her.
May need to do some pocket duties as the week progresses - well maybe more like 'pushing' duties - to actually get her there!!!
Thanks all of you
Love
Toni xx0 -
Bask in all the love surrounding you sweetie.
It will soon be over.........Much love........Ange.x.0 -
Morning All
No news yet from Cris :?
I think we all did a great job getting her there - this helps more than we can imagine! a good laugh and support goes a huge way doesn't it?
Hoping the line that's in is ok - but not hearing from her worries me a bit that it might be that they are having to get a new one in and cris' veins are teeny tiny and burried deap
I have sent Daisycat down to Cris' while she is out to have a word with only and confiscate any 'notes'. To be honest re writing is abysmal and spelling  Well say no more  I tend to think the nurses wouldnt have fallen for it
As soon as I hear anything I promise to let everyone know
Love
Toni xx0 -
She's there!!!!!!!!!!!
nOt connected yet, but there - not such a nice nurse today as Charlotte, but the sister so Cris will have to behave

Mornin Cris
hope the line has held out, so they haven`t had to send the search party out for your veins! I have packed my back pack with cheese pasties today and hot chocolate in the flask. Plenty to go round...
I am really hoping that it isn`t going too bad for you with the effects of the `nasty stuff` and am sending you gentle ((((((hugs))))
Each day that is over is a day closer to putting this behind you for another 6 months.
Right, all packed, see you soon through the window... might take a while to get there though its along hobble from Lancs!!

I'm glad she has made it - I suspect the temptation to drive elsewhere was pretty strong this morning! As of today she is the wrong side of half way through, but on release tonight she will be slap bang in the middle of it. I hope this will give her some encouragement - what do you reckon, frog? Will we need to be at full-strength tomorrow? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
-
Hi Toni
Glad she's there! Good thinking about sending Daisy cat to confiscate any notes which might be lying around.
Cris - sorry you will have to behave for "sister" today but we are all there to stand up for you if she gets a bit fierce (and let's face it, she can't be as fierce as you were yesterday when cornered!!!!).
Love Tilly xxx0 -
There is nothing so fierce and aggressive as a cornered Cornish Skezier! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

No
The cornered Skezier is feeling threatened
I was suggesting one of us uses something sharp to poke the sister up the b*m!!
What do you think?

Tilly Daisy is on very good terms with Monst (one of Cris' cats) and she has already found some notes - the give away is she uses a large marker pen due to the hoof issue :shock:0 -
As you say DD, "nothing so fierce...."
I think the idea of something sharp (or several very sharp things) is a good one Toni.
Alternatively you could suggest to Cris that she thumps Sister over the head very hard with the invisible flask. Along with its other magical qualities, it's feather light for the person using it, but has the effect of a very large lump-hammer when weilded (sp?) in self-defence!
Well done to Daisy Cat for rootling out those notes! You will have to give her an extra treat for tea when she gets back later on!
Tilly xx0 -
they haven't started the drip yet and that bossy sister is talking about wanting Cris back to Trileske... which Cris doesn't want!
I said we'd come down and sort her out... can be very fierce if need be!
another problem is that our Cris can't remember if she took the anti emetic s this morn and they can't give her more.... fingers all crossed she did take it otherwise Cris'll be very sick today.
we might need to organise a rescue party.
This delay and that sister's attitude is getting our Cris upset folks!!!
Iris xx0 -
... just heard again from Cris..... the line's in now.
fingers crossed it all goes well from now on in....

Yep Iris and we will bash the sister with Tilly's magic flask
she's going to try to get it through as fast as poss and BP is higher today so off to a good start0 -
Just had a message, she went to the top dose just before mid-day and if she can tolerate it she hopes to be out by 5.30pm. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi All,
No spell check but I shall do my very best.....
On the highest dose now and if i cn take it shall be off it round 5.15..... if i can take it.....
Got the head ache, got the flushing and the awning, feel a little sick but think I have indeed taken the anti=emetic..... what a plank eh to not know!
The line in is tracking a bit but I really hope it will hold.......
The sister is nice and is odd cus how can some one so nice be so thourghtless? I will look aftr this line in.......Its possible it could last another day as well.... possible but painfl as its reacted to having it in there as well....
Oh moan, moan, moan......
Miss L.legs said t tell you I have been a bit whimpy today.... She wouldlike to point out that she has had to give a few nips to the ankels and then she had to become a comfort rag! not the best day really.....
You poor people .... now how you going to get me here tomorrow.....
oh the tea trolley.... another coffee but I been having Tilys tea all day and clubbed everyone for good measure
Off for a kip soon I think...... hope your all okish and sending hugs and hanks toyou all.
Before my kip i think i might just need some fresh air...... xx0 -
Hi Cris
So glad you are now up to the full dose and that you are managing to cope with it, despite the headache, flushing etc. Fingers crossed for a 5.15 finish for you. Sounds as if you did remember to take the anti-emetics which is a relief.
Don't worry about us getting you there tomorrow - we're a tough bunch and, after the last two days, are getting wise to your escape plans!
Glad the magic tea flask is coming in handy Cris - both for refreshment and self defence!
Hope you do manage a little kip Cris - time will go quicker that way and, hopefully, by the time you wake up, it will be nearly done.
Love, (((()))))s and a nudge from the deer (who is watching you from outside the window).

skezier sends her apologies but she has lost the connection - just three and a bit hours to go - she has just texted me and called me a daft **** so I guess she's feeling a little brighter! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
