    morning all

    I redid some of the soldering Toady as it wasn’t up to the standard of the rest of it, I realised after looking at the photo, but it’s done now.

    Loanda off to doc’s this morning. I’ve just done her triage form.

    I had very weird dreams last nite, no doubt the mxt. At one point I could see inside my motorcycle engine as it was running with the chains and gears and stresses and strains, very weird and quite disturbing. Not quite a nightmare but certainly not a nice dream.

    Just having my 2nd cuppa chatting to Anda whilst she typing on her work computer doing top secret important stuff.

    Off to play some tunes in bunker shortly whilst I don’t have too much pain and a clear head.

    Hi frogmorton I'm having a quiet day today I'm exhausted off sorting my daughter out this morning she was playing up again it's a good job I love her so much and a good job my son is totally different does everything straight away when asked. Yeah he manily focused on my knees I guess they only deal with 1 problem at the time hope you are well and I hope you have a great day.

    So I wrote a brief summary of the day’s highlights so far as it were.
    Text shop assistant said March is month of spending more that’s in your golden toad purse - how outrageous 😱
    I ate a tuna sandwich relatively rare delicacy but good for me too, fish can be good for joints of course 👍
    RR was busy in the remote or possibly virtual Artist’s Corner away from my earshot, but he was wearing an artist’s scarf to assert his significance- maybe he took inspiration from the painting below called ‘Man in a turban’ by the actual Rembrandt? Just with the scarf tied around his neck instead of his head of course lol

    Ok ablutions time or nap time- whichever comes first haha

    Hi all 👋 well it was not as noisy as yesterday.. it was more noisy 🙄. So put me in not a chit-chat frame of mind I'm afraid, will have to get back in the frame of mind where you remember summer means working round everyone else; shouldn't have to but it does. You forget over winter; nice isn't it, to make someone who hates winter hate summer as well 🤪. Still I found my lost trowel, how much gbh do you think I could do with that? 🤔😂.     Olivia’s mum is stuck in hospital according to brace hook

    I must admit I don’t check all the details of people’s lives on brace hook

    But hopefully nothing much is wrong I’ll venture another look when I can ‘brace myself” haha

    Nice M wasn’t too well unfortunately but hopefully she’ll swing back to better mental state next week

    I bought a top from “Text” which was quite rare for me, it was a good one though, polka dot type pattern, kind of sixties style- to be worn before BB drives all dotty, oh no another bad pun

    hey Reshmi, I asked if I could self inject wien he said I was going to be started on it, and he asked why and I said that I had read (on here) that it was tolerated better than tablets and he just said no!
    I don’t seem too bad on the tablets. I am a bit grumpy for 48 hours and have had weird dreams but so far thankfully that’s it.
    the inflammation in my skull and nose/ear cartilage has been steadily reducing which means fewer migraines but I have to be SO careful what I eat so as not to spark off a flare up.
    How are mum and dad today? Hopefully dad being a bit nicer??

    had a rotten night sleep 2 heat patches, cream, pills, hot water bottle & still feel like I have been run over by a stem roller!

    My Doc appointment is 8/4/25 @ 8am.I'll be gld when the heat comes & no more damp, cold

    Morning Jojo it is a good job your lad is so much easier to deal with than your daughter. Girls can be a bit trickier unfortunately. Trust me I know with my step daughter (who lived with us from her being 8) I had 3! Physio mostly dealt with your knees mind you they are the usual trouble for you aren't they? Your poor back that's a newer issue. Hope your day is ok today ((())) xxx

    My friend has had (for 12 days so far) this cold/flu that's going round and already had antibiotics, but still feels so very very awful she doesn't understand why she feels almost worse now than 12 days ago. I felt so sorry for her when I was talking to her yesterday on the phone. I do hope that your Anda gets some help too and some reassurance that she will get better. Oh they booked my friend in for tests on 27th March first available date!!!!

    Weird dreams eh? Luckily for me no I have never had those, but your motorbike one seems totally reasonable now given that you have been working on one of yours. I hope it wasn't a frightening one though was it?

    The meds do seem to be working though I know it can seem frustratingly slow but you are getting there. Have you done your first 3 months yet?

    Hope you are feeling ok today? Very glad to hear BB was behaving a tad better yesterday towards your lovely Mum too.

    Poor Olivia I do feel sorry for her stuck in hospital I hope all is well with her and the little one though. Bless them both fingers crossed they'll be home soon. I avoid brace hook like the plague where possible.

    I am going to wear a mask in al fresco today because my sister and friend are both poorly and are part of my cat feeding tea while we are away. I don't want to catch whatever it is either and neither of them knows for sure where they caught it.

    Glad you got to the group, but oh dear poor nice M. I do hope she gets the help she needs if things don't settle back down for her😕 You have no idea who much i imagined RR would wear scarves around his neck. I also sometimes imagine he might wear a jaunty hat?

    I called into Text the other day too I didn't see your top though. I did see a lovely lovely dress for my holiday but it was about 3 foot too long as I think most of us women in here can relate🙄 (especially Toady). Still I got the socks I was after. They do some lovely comfy cushioned soled ones there.

    Elfie is a tad disappointed that you didn't spot his photo yesterday, (I've explained why, but he is only 8), and more so listen/comment on his theme tune. Did you also see 2 of my Sleek-sitters are down with colds/flu? I am back to masks until I leave and will do the same on the flight for definite. Feeling a bit dispirited myself to be honest.

    Good news about the trowel which I think could do a fair bit of GBH, but you'd have to catch your victim first which is the tricky part. I have all my tools together atm safely in my tool bucket waiting for me. With their little bit of pink tape around their handles too so i can spot (in theory) where I have left them after gardening/committing ABH😉

    morning all.
    Dachshund, the docs referred her to the pharmacy for her appointment, which the pharmacist was really annoyed about coz it didn’t fit the criteria, but she has some saline nose spray and some anti histamine.
    he reckons it’s long covid and possibly some allergy as well.

    Toni, hope your friend improves. I have just about done 3 months mtx. I had a kitkat yesterday and sure enough woke up with bad head this morning. I can eat chocolate, but it seems not biscuit stuff. It seems my personality changes when the inflammation affects my brain or at least gives me a bad head. I say and do things I wouldn’t normally. I was very grumpy at Loanda’s parents for turning up late yesterday evening. Normally that wouldn’t bother me, and I get so tired. I am on iron coz the mtx has made me anaemic so that is probably why I am tired but not the change in personality.


    i have the weekend alone as my lot are visiting some cathedral somewhere. We did Coventry Cathedral and the Dino museum as part of the guitar safari last weekend and I bought Sucré a little cuddly dino which he absolutely loves. I give all his toys like that voices. We have a caldron full of gothic toys, we have an election each month to vote in a new ‘el presidenté’. He loves it, although for how much longer who knows??


    One of my best friends who lives in Sweden asked me to record some guitar and send it to him, I did some recording after fitting new strings, and I sounded worse than terrible, nothing like as good as my songs I posted on here, even though I am never 100% satisfied with what I record but this was terrible, so I put it down to the Kitkat and try again later if my head improves.

    Stuart, I know that feeling. Hope u feel better soon.

    Hi frogmorton yeah at least she had a decent morning this morning thankfully. Yeah it was my knees they checked yeah my back is still up and down but hopefully it will settle down soon I'm hoping my husband can help me to plant some plants tomorrow when we are off work I love watching them grow from seedling but I'm still having trouble lifting things to heavy. I hope you are well and I hope you have a good day.

    So maybe it just fairly routine checks and they’ll both be out of hospital soon, I hope so

    Indeed I agree about the toxicity of brace hook

    The problem is that some people really like using it communicate don’t they?

    Cats nap is better, more wholesome, but even when I use the web version of cats nap it’s still not that user friendly, I can enlarge text but the layout isn’t great, easier to make mistakes in my opinion

    Oh dear I hope your sister and friend recover soon,

    I also sometimes still wear a mask when shopping 👍👍

    Yes shame about nice M but she’s in an assisted living place so she’s supervised by nurses etc

    So gets the help she needs👍

    Hi all 👋 order is slightly restored, thanks to at least some sleep and that lovely cup of tea frog 😊 without which there is just darkness and chaos as Reshmi so rightly posted.

    I have indeed heard Elfie's theme now and of course I saw his pic at the time, no offence intended Elfie, I was 'all over the place' yesterday much like your limbs 🤭. Pic duly 'liked' hope it cheers him up 😊. It is very dramatic tune not quite what I expected, touch of the Slavic (Slavonic? 🤔) almost, very rousing. As to his new look he is certainly skipping from one trend to another, no getting stuck in a rut for him 😁 whatever next. Yes there are little furry traces of Sleek here too 😸 glad she doesn't mind brushing (I think you said) but we can always take turns. Sorry you are feeling a little glum yourself and that family aren't well 😟 yes do make sure you don't get 'it' and do hope your poor sister and friend feel better soon especially as your friend seems to have a rotten case of whatever it is 😕. I hope your day has been ok otherwise, I have put my nose out of the door just for a bit of doing the rounds of the garden (we will plod on I expect, won't we 🖖 nil desperandum). I nearly asked if you had ever grown or considered, asparagus, I will be v interested to hear how that goes 👍️. Nothing else going on I may take scooter out again tomorrow if poss.     Hello Joan, I hadn't seen about the toads I have heard similar before, I have looked at the story now. It's lovely that people do things like that it cheers you up to hear 😊. I hope your day has been ok I have had 1 or 2 things on the line, glad you did too on Weds 😊. I lost my washing prop to weather; the one I repaired before, it really has had it this time I think, I still have one but it works better with 2.     Hi to bosh, glad things are a little better and fingers crossed it will at least last for now. I like the sound of your polka dot top 😊 I don't have a Text shop near me, maybe just as well if they are urging you to tip your purse out 😮. I quite like the eye phone too, I would have that in the house. I think 🤔. My broadband contract is coming up might have to go elsewhere, it's easier now that I don't have to shop around for somewhere with a decent landline & calls option, still a bit of a nuisance to change though. Sorry to hear nice M was not too well I hope when you next see her things are better. Sorry not much news, I was up for the midnight milkman and sleep was a bit on/off so haven't been doing much.     Thanks Jojo yes I do find the scooter handy I haven't had it long, never really considered it but I suddenly thought well it's the only way I'm ever going to have something a bit like a bike (I really miss mine 😔) and go at faster than walking pace. Just nice to have something with handlebars again haha. That is quite a walk to school for you then, will they go to another when they're 11 (or whatever the system is now)? Hope you can at least get some garden stuff under way 😊 have a good evening xx

    So we will consume Carob bars carrot / marrot bars and look at the stars ⭐️ lol

    No one pays rent there and our blood will bleed green, no vampire nurses they emigrated to Saturn because green blood wasn’t in their training manual 😂

Mind you Charley and Tia did try to visit pets at home one night in their bikes, but we caught them in time!     Morning Keef pain can do that to us and I can imagine if it's affecting your head like that it could distort our way of thinking. You can apologise to Nif she'll understand and proof of the pudding your music is now back to normal too 👍️

    My children's toys also had (and still have they are all in their 20's now!) voices Elfie still has one now and Sleek. Now even Paul does them. I wore him down with my stupidity over the years you see😉 I suspect Sucré will find it funny for many many years to come and gosh what a funny Grandad his kids will have in years ahead! I absolutely adore El Presidenté!

    3 months means things should be working pretty well but they increase slowly so maybe more room for improvement. Most of us are a tad anaemic here so you are in very good company😊

    i hope they have a great time cathedral visiting. Did you go to Warwick Castle while you were that way?

    I am ok getting ready for the holiday, but I have the hairdresser today😣 Help!! Still it will be nice to go away looking half decent won't it?

    Glad to hear nice M is in assisted living she will definitely get the help she needs and support although support from friends like yourself is vital. Probably seeing you every week lifts her spirits a huge amount. As long as it doesn't affect you negatively. Can you see what I mean about RR a bit like this with a feather in it (the hat) but the scarf a bit more hippyish.

    I do hope Olivia gets home soon mind she should make the most of the help from the nurses in hospital when she gets home she's on her own! Unless she has an amazing husband of course or wife like Annie and Charley.

    Some people live their whole lives on brace hook🙄 very odd indeed I did spot your updated pic BTW you look really lovely in it. You do not however show me horrendous pics of your Sunday dinners like some do🤢 At least that doesn't happen on castsapp.

    Are you seeing the boys this weekend at all?

    Morning Toady The weather is starting off far better than expected😊Not sunny but dry.

    I am so glad you liked Elfie's theme tune. Rousing is the word He flies up in the air legs everywhere riverdance style when it rouses up and sort of collapses when the music does. Glad you liked his sideburns too he has 'shaved them off like Daddy' now though. His tastes vary from 1960's beatles through 1970s and there's more - his tastes are very eclectic. Sleek seems happy to provide the floof and yes please do carry on helping with the grooming. I reckon we could easily enough get enough for a cushion. Each!

    Hoping my friend and Kari are feeling even a tiny bit better today I will check in with them later. My friend sounds particularly awful though Kari is hoping hers is only a cold.

    You must go out on your scooter yes, maybe this morning with a back pack for supplies😊

    We will get used to noisy people reappearing and quite legally using their own outdoor space, having essential work done etc yup. Nil desperandum indeed🖐️

    The foster Dads grew asparagus quite successfully in pts last year and the year before so i am going to give it a go! Watch this space😊
