I had a plastic greenhouse. I had to tie it down and put growbags all along the bottom bit to stop it blowing away. It lasted for 2 years and then the wind pulled it about so much, it ripped at the seams. I found the tomatoes done best out in the open once they were about a foot high.
Barbara, your poor neighbour. I do hope she'll be ok.
I haven't been to see Ruby again yet but she is doing very well. Just waiting for her to reach 4lbs and then she can come home.

    Morning Everyone :)

Thank you for your kind thoughts for hubby. He was admitted to hospital because of dehydration - just couldn't keep anything down. He seems to be on the mend now and hopefully will be home today - fingers crossed :).

Barbara, what a terrible thing to happen to your neighbour. I do hope she will be ok. Also, that your gdaughter's finger heals soon.

Hope everyone is as well as possible and Ruby achieves her target weight very soon :)

Just made some pasta ,bacon bits and a tomato sauce for lunch, turned round as I was doing it caught the spoon I left in the pan which flicked out ,so now got to clean the cooker and wall as its sprayed with sauce. Mig

Dear me Katie that was a bad bout of food poisoning! would you believe I got food poisoning eating scallops when I was pregnant with my daughter. luckily she was unharmed. I've never touched scallops since.

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour and hope its not going to cause her lasting problems.

I took my humira yesterday and it knocked me out so have been sleeping a lot.

Mr O I'm not sure how he would respond to a pet. He is scared of dogs but likes kittens. I love kittens but feel I would struggle to care for one and also having had to give my 2 cats away when I got divorced its a bit of a sore point with me.We have some fish but they are not very interesting

    Hi Barbara

What a good idea helping out so your neighbour's son can have a break :) and well done for your bargains.

Elizabeth - sorry you are so 'wished' as Cris would say after your humira. Like Barbara I am so sorry you lost your cats :( and of course your ability to care for pets is relevant too. :? My eldest just bought fish and she loves 'em

Oh mig how annoying - you are like me making yourself MORE work  I have broken 4 mug since we had the kitchen done last August. Each time splahed up the units..... entire bucket of water spilled and also left a bucket to overflow all over the floor :? Hope your lunch was nice anyway.

Hi MrO I hope you are feeling ok today??

Catie you poor thing! You must have been so worried!! I do hope he is going to be way better when he gest home.

Hope I haven't missed anyone out if so I am very sorry

    Love

I've got my fingers crossed for your husband coming home tomorrow Catie. Glad he is on the mend.

Mig, I hope you are doing well on the meds so you can keep taking them. Oops about the spilled sauce. It goes everywhere doesn't it.

How awful you had to give your cats away Elizabeth. When I left my husband, I had to leave my dogs. It's so upsetting. I hope you do manage to get another one one day.

Barbara, I hope you do manage to have a lie-in tomorrow but I know what you mean. I always wake up at the same time every day, no matter what.

Well I went to visit Ruby this afternoon. My son changed her nappy and gave her a bottle which she devoured in minutes and she wouldn't let go of the bottle. I had a cuddle with her. She kept grinning, probably because she didn't bring up her wind but it was so funny. She has gone from her birth weight of 3lbs 8ozs to 3lbs 4ozs and is now 3lbs 12ozs.

    Morning all

It's windy here to. But earlier this morning the sun was out. Nearly got the washing out, then it started.

Barbara, sorry I didn't pop in yesterday, it's been a bit hectic here. Having problems with H again. But, I think we are back on track. Tuesday I was meant to go to physio, but had to cancel due to the problems. How is your shoulder now Barbara.

Catie, I really do hope that your hubby comes home today. It is awful when you are apart isn't it. Shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

Coco, what's up. Yeh, I know silly question. Hope you feel more on top really soon.

Applerose, sounds really promising that your gdaughter should be home very soon, as Barbara said, would loved to have seen her with the bottle.

Mig, can I have some of that carrot and raison cake, sound lovely.

I know I have probably missed someone and for that I do apologise.

Hope everyone has a good day today, not to windy though.

I moved so many times after the divorce (due to him not paying on time and then pleading poverty) I just couldn't get a settled rented property to keep the cats. They went to live with the ex which was better than the RSPCA but one ran away immediately. I grieve for Luigi so much I couldn't accept another cat. The other Marco is still alive!

Well I got showered and dressed for my rheummy appointment today and it was cancelled. So have no idea what to do about these knees. Anyway seeing as I was out and about I managed to make my art class for the first time in months.

    Just heard thunder....

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts. Hubby is now back home and I'm spoiling him rotten because I did really miss him. He's so much better now, but boy did he give us a scare. He says he won't be eating chicken at any restaurant again ...and neither will I..

Elizabeth, that must have been such a difficult time for you. How sad about your cats.

Barbara, if you can try acupuncture it might help as MrOptimist says. It certainly has helped me in the past and hubby too.
Hope your poor neighbour is on the mend.

Christine, what great news about Ruby. It won't be long 'til she's home now :)

Karen, have you heard abour your daughter's scan? I do hope she's ok. Hope you are ok too, what with your fall and everything.

Toni...you are clever with all your little animations jumping everywhere - they do make me smile :D

Coco, I hope you feel better soon :)

Mig.... I'll have a slice of whatever cake is left please. Looks like everyone has enjoyed quite a feast, so I know there probably won't be much left :)

Oh Catie it is really good to see you and hear he is safely home where he should be :D

Also very good to hear you have missed him :)

    The smilies??

That's where I get them - we used to use them all the time on here now i think only a few of us bother - it is an effort, but they do brighten the place up don't they??

Ooops Barbara sorry about the cake but it was rather moorish

Coco, hope you feel better in the morning.

Barbara, glad your neighbour is improving. Must have been quite a shock for her.

Hope you manage to rebook your physio for the near future Karen. I don't like having to make appointments. There is always something else which needs to be done and gets in the way.

Toni, I thought it would take a while for Ruby to take her bottle. Couldn't believe she'd finished it so quickly. Where did you get that picture of me stuffing my face? I didn't know anyone was watching.

Elizabeth, I can understand your upset about losing your cats. I hope you have found a home where you can settle now and that you will soon have another rheummy appointment.

Catie, glad your husband got home. Don't blame him not wanting to eat chicken again.

So Toni ate all the cake? Oh well, at least it means I can't eat it.

We've had some sun, some rain and lots and lots of wind. At least the garden has been watered.
