Morning All,Cake making went well,it is edible though wont win any prizes ,it took longer to clean the kitchen up than it did to make the cake but it kept him out of trouble for a while.
Chicken breast dinner today with cake to follow if its gone a bit dry shall put custard on it. Mig0 -
Morning all...
Christine you did make me laugh with the cooking story's..I think we should train them to cook in the early days...and iron and do the washing... Oh Mr O will go mad when he reads this... glad you enjoyed the cake...
Toni...I am glad mum and babies are doing well...and like Christine says dont go apologising
Coco we know your story....and life has been blinking hard...on top of everything you have had to look after your son since he came out the Army a very different person to what he was when he went in...I do hope you can get a different GP but its not easy these days..
Mig I know what you mean they make so much mess well my OH does...bless but he does his best...enjoy your dinner...
Mr O how are you doing...enjoying this weather I hope...they say make the most of it for tomorrow will be different...
The sun is shinning...but not sure what we are doing ...there are 2 GC in bed..but I can hear one moving about...so I will see you all later xxxxLove

Good Afternoon to you all
Coco, my comments were not meant unkindly or directed at you in person. There are others who have commented on this thread and on the forum generally, that they often feel very low and life is a struggle. I stand by what I originally said and will also add that GP's are paid to help you and that's exactly what they should be doing. Ok, if the one you are registered with isn't listening etc, then consult another in that Practice. There is help out there and it isn't just a bucket of pills .
Barbara, I'm not mad at your suggestion at all . I believe in equality and my sons have been raised to help about the house
Enjoy the good weather and have fun. We are taking the twins to the seaside, so I had better go .0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Sun gone in now, although still very warm. All change from tomorrow though, as Barbara said.
Well, I`ve only had "bad days" in the past, never what others term a "flare up". Right now though I seem to be in the middle of the flare-up from hell. Started about four am, with stomach pain of all things, then every flaming joint - literally - seems to have joined the party, not just the affected ones. I think the tummy pain was caused by constipation, in turn caused by medication, taken to help. We can`t win can we?
Mr O, I have had a wonderful relationship with my GP for years, and would never see anyone else. Now though, the surgery has instigated a new system whereby, when you phone, it`s all automated, and you are just allocated whichever doctor is next on the list. Not good in my opinion, when you have built up a good rapport with someone, who is fully aware of your medical history. Not much we can do though is there?......Rosie.0 -
Afternoon all
MrO I hope you have had a good day at the seaside with the twins....my ideal day.... and its good that your sons were brought up to do housework...my sons were the same....both of them love to cook...but there father is old school I have given up after being married for 43 years...
Rosie I am sorry you are suffering...I was saying to my OH how worse my joints are in the warm weather...wonder if this is the same with you...when we went to Spain if was a different matter...must be dry heat... :? I hope you get some relief very soon..xx
The sun is still shinning ...so I am making the most of my garden...the baby has just been ...the little thing was so happy sat on a blanket on the garden I still have the other 2 GDs here think they may be staying...
I hope Karen is doing okish...and Tony...xx
See you all later xxxxxxLove

Coco, sorry you are still feeling so bad but glad you are trying your best to enjoy life. It can't be easy for you.
Toni, glad the kitty kats are doing well. Hope baby robin learns to fly soon.
Mig, glad the cake making went well. Being edible is more important than looking good.
Barbara, I think men deliberately don't learn how to do things just so they don't have to do them. Hope you and your GC enjoyed your weekend.
Mr O, hope you all had a lovely day at the seaside.
Rosie, hope your flare calms down soon.
Barbara, I have noticed that all the joints in my hands swell up during the hot weather. They're quite itchy too. I've also noticed it's not so bad in Spain. probably, as you say, dry heat. I've spent most of the day in my garden although I've been weeding and tidying most of it. Babies are so content just sitting playing, aren't they? Your GD sounds so cute.Christine0 -
Morning all
Cloudy and chilly this morning...
Christine my youngest GD is cute...but what a temper she has... she pulls her hair out and there isn't much to pull... its surprising how the weather can effects our joints like it does.....but I am not grumbling I love the sun....
I hope everyone is doing okish...2 GDs gone off to school now I have to brave looking in there rooms  so I will have a cuppa and cheese on toast first...and see you later xxxxLove

Good Morning
Rosie, in answer to your question . Your Surgery will dish out forms from time-to-time asking for patient comments. If enough criticism is directed at the new system, then your surgery will have to take note . Otherwise, you could write a letter to your Practice Manager singing the praises of your GP, but at the same time expressing your concern that you are unable to see him/her. Believe me, GP's 'do not' like complaints and so don't feel that a letter will be thrown in the bin , as this is not the case.
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the coast thank you. The sea air knocked the twins out which means they will be enjoying many more trips
Enjoy your day0 -
Good afternoon all.
I assume kitten cat was a very young Mum. Will she be getting a snip after her recent struggle? I'm looking forward to the pics.
coco glad you were able to pop in. I see your daughter had a lovely birthday and her ice cream looked delicious.
Anyone seen Constable about? I hope she is coping okay.
Daughter and I had a lovely Saturday drinking pimms and sitting in the sun. She is veggie as she has CFS and the fresh veg really helps with her symptoms. She eats tons but is size 8 too but I would hate to eat what she does so will have to remain chubby.
Hope you are all having a nice day,
Elizabeth (still waiting for my hollyhocks to be planted). xxNever be bullied into silence.

Hi Everyone,
So who's got the sun then . The past three or four days have been so cold here...below 15 .
Barbara, your youngest gd sounds a little character - bless her. Hope you are keeping well. Have you heard about your op yet?
Elizabeth, I love hollyhocks. We have some really pretty ones in the garden which have seeded themselves from elsewhere. The bees seem to love them.
MrO, yes I can see why you will be off to the seaside . What I love about little ones is their enthusiasm for 'everything' around them.
I think you offer very sound advice about GP's. My daughter's bf is one and works hard. However, I was shocked at what he earns for what is a 5 day week  I wiil never feel guilty about asking my GP for advice again
Christine, your courgettes are thriving in comparison to mine which are still just tiny seedlings. The runner beans have shot up the poles though.
Hello to everyone not mentioned - hope all is well0 -
Hi Everyone
Yes Elizabeth kittycat was only 6 month herself!! and yes they have sterilized her too so it wont happen again. she was a stray who my ex SIL found in the garden. Oddly and interestingly with a 'collar dent' :x
Her today with all her kittens
Pimms in the garden - how VERY civilised Lovely to share with your daughter
Catie we have finally seen the first un of the day....:( I think it's going to be less good now for a while
MrO I am glad the twins had a lovely time at the coast and the result was a good and effective one all round
Hi Barbara - 3 messy teenagers here too so I know what you mean about their bedrooms. Worse just now as the decorator is painting the windowframes
Christine well-done for tidying the garden. I agree warmer weather her is 'different' to abroad somehow....no idea why :?
I do hope Rosieglow you are feeling a bit better
I hope Karen and Coco are ok too.
Love to all and hope I didn't forget anyone
Toni xxx0 -
Catie, if he's a Partner the rewards can be great . However, it's a very stressful job0
-
Morning all..Its raining here..oh well no need to water the garden...
MrO glad you had a good day at the seaside...I love it when the sea air knocks the little ones out....its good for them...
Elizabeth what a lovely day you had with your daughter...I have never had a Pimms..am I missing out....
Catie...we have a brilliant GP..but he is ready to retire and his stand in is not good at all....apparently I am not the only one that has been let down...hope you get some help very soon
Toni what a lovely pic...will you keep one of the kittens...or both come to that...
I have not seen Karen around...I know she is struggling with everything...if you look in I am thinking about you all...
And Coco hope today is a better one ..
Right it has taken me half hour to type this I see my hand man tomorrow...so he will book me in for more injections...I dont mind them because they work brilliant...and I have more back injections on the cards ...now I don't like them....
Today OH has half a day off...not sure were we will go ..I will let you know later...hope you all have a goodish day...xxxxxLove

pimms is the drink with all the fruit in that they usually serve at weddings Barbara which is where I had my 1st glass. It is very nice. We had blackberry this time and that is even nicer than regular pimms.
Loving the pic of the kittens. They do say it is good to let them have at least one litter but she was very young poor thing.
Still no Karen C!!!! I hope she is okay.
Hope you are all having a lovely day.

At last...we have the sun
Toni, what a lovely pic . Many years ago our cat had kittens - a litter of 5 - and we grew to love them so much. When it was time for them to go there were lots of tears , but they all went to loving homes .
Barbara, poor you with all those injections, but if they bring you some relief it will be well worth it .
MrO - yes he is a Partner - with all the trouble that can bring :?
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Hello everyone,
Thanks for the very good advice Mr O. The problem is that I feel a bit like I`m shouting before I`ve been hurt - as my dad used to say! - if I start to complain about a system that I haven`t even used yet. The other GP`s may all be very good, but I feel really safe with the one I`ve had for so long. He lives quite close, and knows me well, and he grew up with my sons.
Toni, what lovely little kitties! Are you keeping them?
Hope you`ve had a good day out Barbara. I`m getting a bit stir crazy now, haven`t been out since Saturday. I`m off out tomorrow, no matter how I feel!
Been chatting to someone who knows a lot more about stuff than I do, and she thinks that what I`ve had these last few days sounds like fibromyalgia. I`ve googled it and the symptoms do fit. Bit better today, but it really knocked me sideways. I`m getting worried now about how I will cope with the travelling when the babies are born. One will be born 200 miles away, and the other one 1,500 miles away, in another country. I want to see them right away, but it may not be possible. Oh, well, as long as they are alright......Rosie.0 -
Evening all
I had a lovely half a day out...no sun today but it was very warm...mind you so it should be
Elizabeth I hadn't a clue what a Pimms was now I know I might try and make one...
Catie..the hand injections work brilliant...but the back one dont work one bit...this will be my last try...before my THR..I am glad you had the sun think you may have pinched ours...
Rosie...I was tested for fibro..and at the time they couldnt make there mind up...I scored 8 out of ten of the tender spots...you keep on at them till you get some answers...strange but when I was young I had what they then called fibrositus..sorry not a clue how to spell it...wonder if its related...and I know what you mean about being in...I always loved to go for long walks..and to the gym...I do hope you get some help very soon...
Karen and Coco I am still thinking about you both..
I hope you all sleep well....xxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Glad your twins enjoyed their day out Mr O. Sea air is good for sending them to sleep.
Elizabeth, that sounds so relaxing. Sitting in the sun with Pimms. I have tried Pimms though and not too keen.
Catie, think we've had the opposite weather to you. We've had really hot days but now the temperature has dropped a bit and it's very overcast.
Catie, I wasn't sure how well my courgettes were doing. Maybe not too bad then. My runner beans are around the same size and still thinking about climbing.
Aw poor Kittycat. having babies so young. They are so cute. My sister went in to her 17 year old daughter's room they other day after repeatedly asking her to tidy it up. She picked up all the clothes (most of her wardrobe) that were lying on the floor and put them in the back garden. Don't know yet how my niece reacted.
Barbara, hope it's not too long before you get your hand injections, seeing as they work so well. Glad you had a lovely afternoon.
Rosie, Hope you do get out tomorrow and the weather is good for you. Have you seen someone about your symptoms? Hope it's not fibromyalgia.Christine0 -
Morning Everyone
Barbara, I've popped in early to wish you luck - hope all goes well with your hand man today
Christine, you are right about the weather. We seem to have been stuck in a very gloomy front....cloudy and cold. Yesterday was better, but today it's as black as your hat. All our crops are slow, but the apple cordons, pear and plum trees seem to be ok...we shall see. Christine, do you manage your garden by yourself?
Karen and Coco - hope you are both ok
Hello to Mig, Elizabeth, Rosie and everyone who calls in. Hope you all have a good day0 -

Elizabeth..... Pimms + Medication = Toxic combination...and I will say no more0 -
Afternoon all
MrO that is very kind I am not always positive but I do try...
I have had more xrays on my hands and it has now moved into the wrists..so he has given me higher splints...and booked me in for more injections..he say to ask for gutter crutches when I have my THR..so there you go...what I like is that they make your next appointments for you there and then...
I hope you are all having a goodish day....I will have a Pimms..oops mean a cuppa honest and anything sweet...see you all later xxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Barbara, so sorry to hear your arthritis is now in your wrists too. Let's hope that one day they will be able to stop this horrid disease in it's tracks. Meanwhile I've a plate of cupcakes as you fancied something sweet - please help yourself .0
