Hello everyone,
Just putting some fresh flowers with Lovely Lucy`s candle. I hope the break from the treatment has helped her. Toni......much love darling.x.
Barbara, I think I`ll have a mug of tea, and a bacon buttie, rather than the posh coffee.
Marrianne, I didn`t enjoy Mr Selfridge as much as I expected to either. Not sure why. I was also a bit disappointed with Call the Midwife. The first series was so authentic, and believable. Now it`s getting a bit daft. As if someone would write to Princess Margaret and practically the next day she turns up! Maybe I`m getting cynical in me old age!
I`m busy getting everything ready for the "state visit" of my beautiful granddaughter on Friday. So, so excited........Much love to you all......Rosie.x.0 -
Afternoon all
Marianne we did our own kitchen makeover..it did seem easy on paper..I didn't watch Mr Selfridge..think I forgot it was on.. :?
Rosie you can have what ever you want...tell what I am enjoying I don't like goats cheese but have found one that is so lovely..I am hooked on it and goat products are suppose to be very good for you..
I had my hair cut and coloured one of these days I will have a wacky colour..my GDs keep daring me....
Will see you all later xxxxLove

sitting admiring everyone's onesies and wishing I had one now. Could do with something a bit warmer than leggings, t-shirt, two jumpers and a fleece! Got a sore throat and a cough. I'm hoping it clears pretty quickly as I don't want it to end up on my lungs!! I'm taking Asda flu and cold remedy tablets and at least they are helping me get some sleep.
Hope nobody minds me helping myself to a second cup of tea - it is redbush isn't it? Tastes like it anyway.
Yes Rosie, I'm with you on the Princess Margaret storyline. The main story was realistic though, so enjoyed it anyway.
Sorry to hear you've had the flu coco, hope you are feeling much better now. xx
Warming hugs to everyone, but hopefully keeping my germs to myself.

Coco, good to see you back again. Hope you are feeling much better.
Barbara, your hair looks good. Glad you don't go to your neighbour to have your bloods done.
Marrianne, your coat sounds lovely and cosy. I didn't get in to Mr Selfridge properly. I'm not keen on that age. Much preferred the last series. Still, I'll see what next week is like.
Rosie, I watched Call the Midwife. Your right about Princess Margaret but I still quite enjoyed the programme.
Kath, hope your sore throat clears up quickly. I use honey on mine, sometimes in a hot orange drink. Help yourself to as much tea as you want. As it's virtual, you can have any flavour. Hope you sleep tonight.
I noticed Toni has posted and Lucy is eating well. That is good. She'll have a bit of strength to help her through her next chemo. (((hugs))) for them and the rest of the family.
Yaaay, finished my jigsaw. Don't know if I should start another one or I'll never get things done round the house.Christine0 -

Afternoon everyone. Well, something's working. throat no longer sore but can cough for England but then I do have Bronchiectasis so it's to be expected.
Sorry to hear you're still coughing too Coco, and hope that you're feeling much better for Plymouth.
Thanks for reminding me about honey Marianne. Whenever I had a cold as a child, mum would boil up a pan of onions and give it to me to drink. What with that and gran giving me a tot of granddads best brandy, it's a wonder I've reached my great age....lol.
Think I'll sit near the window too barbara, just looking out at the sunshine makes me feel a bit warmer. I didn't think it was going to shine much first thing, but it's doing it's best. Roll on spring. Now where's that hot chocolate?

Hello everyone,
Sorry for all those with coughs and colds. Spring isn`t too far away now. Soon the daffodils will be out, and we`ll all feel much better.
Toni, it sounds like things are starting to hit you a bit more now. Stay strong darling, it will get better. In the words of Phil Collins......You`ll be in my heart.....always.x.
Much love to you all....Rosie.x.0 -
Just popped back to give a quick, warming hug to Toni. I won't pass on my bugs as I don't want your lovely girl to catch them, especially while she is bravely undergoing chemo. So will let you give her a hug for me. I know what it is like as I had it myself last year, but I'm considerably older and uglier than she is. Sending love to you both.

Rosie..I am sure Toni will be so pleased to read your lovely post...in Toni's words sniff sniff...
Marianne I am sure you are not ugly...you sound lovely inside and out...Toni will be glad of the hugs...sorry you have gone through chemo but glad you came out the other side..my Nephews son is in remission...nearly 6 years...he was born with cancer...
Now you need to get rid of that cold..what do they say feed it or starve it.. :? prefer feed it myself...
Hope everyone's doing okish..we have 1 GD here so up early again in the morning....will see you all tomorowLove
Barbara0 -
Coco, hope that cough clears up before the weekend. You can do without that during your trip.
Marrianne, I love a real log fire too. Lovely and cosy when it's freezing outside. I was at T*sc* today and, just inside the doors, they had lots of bits and pieces in big boxes at greatly reduced prices. Looked as if they were getting rid of old stock.
Sounds as if you didn't have to wait too long today for your bloods Barbara. I've been at a bit of a loss this evening so I think I will be starting a new jigsaw tomorrow. Wonder if a talking to by the police will stop your neighbour's boy from dialling 999. At least the phone is locked now.
Kath, glad your throat is better. I used to keep bees so all the family had honey every day. In the few years we had the bees, none of the family ever had a cold or cough.
Great to see you Toni. I believe Barbara has had a macchiatto (sp) waiting for you. It'll take you weeks to catch up on all the posts so I wouldn't bother. Hope all is going well and you and Lucy aren't getting too tired or bored.
Rosie, we have snowdrops out at the moment and I have heard that there are crocuses in some areas.
I managed to catch both buses today when I went to the big supermarket. Only just though. Had to run few yards for both though. At least I caught them and didn't have to wait half an hour as I did the last two weeks. Must be getting better with my timing.Christine0 -
Saying Goodnight to you all ,You lovely girls just haveing a last drink ...Horlicks and warm milk if we have any ..I developed a taste for it last time in Hospital .MI lock up dont think anyone will be back tonight ? Have to go to hospital tomorrow to start my first anti tnf .. all being well so wont be in the cafe until later ,Hope Lucy and Toni are haveing a restful night prayers for them and hugs to all See you all tomorrow (((())))Marrianne0

The trouble with not popping in here too often is there is so much to read back!
Hoping Coco gets better before the weekend uni visit. Good luck.
Lovely to see Toni popped her head round the door. going to concentrate all my thoughts on Lucy getting better. Its a tough time for all of you.
I have my respite day today so going to get some kip before my Lucy comes home as I've promised to help her with her homeork.
My Eldest Son got a well done card from his French teacher through the post. He was really struggling but he's picked himself up. All that nagging does pay off in the end

Hi Everyone
You are so right Elizabeth - disappear for a day or two and so much to catch up with. I'm delighted for your son - well done to him and hope he carries on in the same way.
MrO told me he suspected that I had fractured my foot and it wasn't arthur at all  . So I popped along to A & E and am now in plaster for 6 weeks or so. All I did was to lose my footing on a friend's door-step. I told the doc if it was the Inland Revenue building door-step I would have sued. He said he would have written a letter of support
Hope all colds clear up soon....so miserable aren't they. Coco, have a safe journey and I hope your daughter likes the uni.
Rosie, I bet you are excited now - enjoy your time with your lovely little granddaughter - such a special time for you all
Mig, you rest up after that injection.
Love to all xx0
