Barbara, I'm sure choccie biscuits will work just as well as cake for poorly tummies. Well at least the cafe ones. Glad you got out today. It has been lovely here too.

Glad your son's eczema is clearing Elizabeth. At our GP's surgery, we can phone at 8am to see if they have any cancelled appointments. Is it worth phoning your surgery to see if there's a cancellation for your daughter? She shouldn't have to wait a week to be seen. Poor girl. Hope you are managing to get some rest.

Toady, I know what you mean about the position on the bike. I sit fairly upright. It hurts my neck if I look up or down for more than a few minutes.

Thanks for the reminder Mig. I did write it in my diary but will probably still forget. I'm like Barbara, I decide what to eat as I start to feel hungry.

It was such a beautiful day walking home from work just after lunch time so I was taking my time and enjoying it but I've been feeling very sad for the rest of the afternoon. About halfway home, I noticed a rabbit walking across the pavement. As I reached him, he started to go on to the road. At first I thought it was a wild rabbit so I was going to chase him back in to the woods but he didn't run so I bent down and picked him up. I couldn't let him walk on the road as it is very busy. He didn't struggle at all and snuggled down in my arms. I noticed his eyes were a bit weepy so I went back to the High Street to the vets. The girl said she wasn't sure if it was a wild one or a pet but she was fairly certain it had mixomatosis. She put it in a cage and said she'd get the vet to check it over. I checked online and I'm pretty sure now, it is mixo. Poor rabbit. Thing is, there are a lot of rabbits round there so they probably all have it. :(

On a better note, I think the weather is set to be quite good for a few days so I hope you all enjoy it. See you all in a couple of days.

Oh poor rabbit  glad you were there to at least take it to the vet I don't suppose everybody would. I had a feeling they had wiped out mixo but that was wishful thinking obviously.. should never have been introduced of course..
ghastly things humans (collectively), we are the 'pests' in my opinion.

Will say goodnight to you & anyone else looking in, & have a good couple of hopefully sunny days, behave yourselves arthritis-wise; mig you do put me to shame I presume those pies are home-cooked, if I offered my oven a pie I'd made it would treat it like a foreign body I should imagine, never having seen one before  throw me something vegetarian together for when we come back would you? thank you kindly

It is beautifully tidy in here so all I need to do is wash my own cup after me & see you all soon. smile_coffee.gifI have bought some early easter eggs so have slightly gone mad in the choc line lately, but I do have weight to put on so what can you do.. night all, toady xx

Just calling in for a quick cuppa before I go to work. Hope I don't get locked in. On second thoughts, I'll take it in a cardboard cup with a lid on just in case.

You are so right Toady. I don't know what they were thinking of introducing it. I don't like to think of myself as the same type of human being as them.

Right I'm off before the door is locked. See you all soon.

A quick cup of tea with you all will be nice, barbara you all keep it so lovely & clean in here I have to be good too, can't let the side down. Sun is indeed shining for a change so a bit of tidying for me I think. Tabbycat-visitor is asleep in the sun so no hoovering, can't disturb him can I. Glad my pie made you laugh. Hope the spade is not calling you too loudly but must be tough to resist.

Good thinking with the takeaway cup applerose, maybe there are some of those little packs of 2 custard creams we could grab. How is the shoe-shopping for the wedding going, any luck yet?

I like the sound of 'pancake polly' dachshund, have never heard of it or seen one like it. Must get through a lot of eggs & flour. Hope you are having a good day. :) See you all whenever.. xx

Oooh, we're still here. I like the sound of Pancake Polly Joan. Think I'd be in there a lot. I'm like you Barbara, I much prefer a sweet pancake or two or three. No, best not hoover Toady. Don't want to disturb the kitty. Still no wedding shoes. My sister said she's sure I'll find something, even if I have to wear flats (god forbid). Another case of someone not understanding the fact that I can't wear any sort of heels, even if it is only for one day. Looks lovely out today but I'm cold through and my fingers have turned white and numb so I'll have a cuppa next to the fire till I warm up a bit. Wonder if the door will still be open later tonight.

Here's another one :D just passing the door & heard the coffee machine gurgling.. glad the tea has warmed you up applerose. Sorry the shoes are elusive. :(

I don't mind a bit of internet clothes shopping barbara but if I were their age (and even now if I were fit enough) I'd be round the shops like there's no tomorrow. There is some stuff you can only get online though I suppose.

    Anyway night all :) xx

Phew :? I wasn't expecting to be let in. Hope our posts won't be lost. I've bought my long handled feather duster to shift all those cobwebs near the window. And I'm wearing rubber gloves in case I meet any little creatures with 8 legs, so I can pick them up and toss them outside.

While I'm busy, I'll tell you about my Oncologist appointment. They are concerned that I'm still itching and still have xxxx sore legs, so they have referred me to Dermatology!! That's three 'ologists' and a respiratory consultant I think I'll have to find a cupboard somewhere to hide them all in

So I'm waiting for that appointment now and have to go back to my onco on APRIL FOOLS DAY!!! Yep, that's me. An April Fool

There, all cobwebs gone and 5 spiders now out in the garden. Have I time for a quick cuppa before the cafe closes I wonder.

    Love to all

    Kath xx

Don't normally pop in at lunchtime but couldn't help it. I see the kettle is just coming to the boil so I'll have a cuppa and that piece of carrot cake that's left in the tin.

I'm like you Toady, much prefer going to a shop to try things on. I can't be bothered with having to return things if they're not right. Barbara, hope your GD finds what she's after on Saturday.

You've been very busy Barbara and Kath. The cafe is spic and span now. Now we'll be able to go on the internet on the internet.

So you've now got 3 ologists Kath? Maybe you could store them in the cafe so we can all borrow them. Hope your appointments all go well.

My boss had a chat with me today and has asked me to do some more hours. I've agreed to it because I need the money but wondering if I can manage more hours. I'll see how it goes for a while.

Will call in again later if the door is still open.

Hello :) early for me today.. coo what a hive of activity, I'll have to pitch & wash a dish or two.. th_thSmiley5dishes.gif (that pile isn't going down much is it)

Kath hello, thank you for getting rid of all the nasties before I got here! Do hope they don't wander back in from the garden later. Nice and sunny so I could probably see all my own cobwebs if I cared to look. Sorry about all your ologists.. was that 'the' oncology appt you were waiting for or is the follow-up the appointment proper.. April Fool's appt, ha ha I don't think. I usually manage my birthday or thereabouts. The itching must be driving you nuts. :(

Hi applerose, talking of internet clothes shopping, I had a 'Nooooo!' :o moment last night when I went to a certain shop's website and thought they had discontinued my favourite staple top, & almost posted to say so. This morning I realise they have just renamed it.. (oddly), although basically it was really just me not looking properly, so I feel silly  I must learn to under-react to things (bit late I suspect). I have also always had 1 catalogue, because at least if you can return items it's nearly like trying on in the shop - & not have to make an on-the-spot decision. But as the website expands the catalogue has got littler every year so the days of the catalogue are numbered I daresay. Well it makes sense for the companies really. Hope your new hours work out if you take them on.

Hello barbara too I have nearly managed to catch you this time.. sorry you're having one of those can't do much days.. do the GDs come back to yours after school.. it gets round to this time very quickly, must go & try & get something done myself not sure what. Another teabreak won't delay us that much, will it. :)

It is a long time without marrianne, does anyone keep in touch with her outside here.. also haven't seen constable lately..

Didn't want to risk getting locked in the cafe on my own but it seems to be ok especially since Kath got rid of the spiders.

Just a goodnight post.. have to get up early & chase up my enbrel delivery  whoopee.. partly my own fault, I pushed a delivery on a week at one point so my margin for error got used up. Can't get away with much in life can you.

Short & sweet by my standards, so tea/biccies/sleep well/goodnight. :) xx

Have a lovely time away mig :) I am half-Cornish but don't know Newquay at all.

Hello barbara - my meds turned up so now I'm having a hot cross bun & a coffee & deciding when to inject. Hope you are having an ok day, cloudy here too hope it cheers up if you get to go out, have a nice time. :) I gathered you have the GDs quite a lot I just hadn't picked up on whether it's a regular thing that they come back to you from school or just flexibly, as & when. Good that you are all nearby (well apart from it sounds as though the traffic can be a pain). Going to go and look at my 'to do list' - we were joking about them but yes I am actually trying it as an experiment  quite interesting so far I have to say.

Hello mig & anyone reading xx
