Today we had slow cooked brisket was delicious theres some left, with it i made sliced potatoes in a cheese and onion sauce with special broccoli ,my daughter-in-law makes it ,you break the broccoli into bit size florets into an oven proof dish a very small drizzle of olive oil salt and pepper and grated parmesan then roast it for about 20/30 mins on oven no3 ,if you try it don't have oven too high else it will burn.
Im still waiting for my choco egg to turn up oh boy is he in trouble.
Poldark and a glass of wine tonight. Mig

I'm much better now. Thanks. It's been such a lovely day, I've spent most of it working in the garden.

Oops, I fell in Toni's egg basket. Sorry if I squashed the eggs. Paul has done very well. It would be a shame to spoil it.

Joan, I'm used to not having Mango with me now. He has had his blood tests and his haircut. Only 3 weeks before he flies to Australia.

Kath, fancy them getting the dates and town wrong. Hope you don't have the problems for long. You're not having a good time at all. Love your chicks.

Barbara, I've had liquorice before and been ok but I'm pretty sure it was that. At least I'm ok now, thanks. Sounds as if you had a lovely day at your son's. Hope you enjoyed your egg.

Mig, you do make some lovely meals. The broccoli sounds delicious. I'll have to try it. No egg? Maybe you'll get 2 when they're reduced.

Can't believe how hot it was today. I really enjoyed tidying up in the garden. Hope you all enjoyed the good weather.

Mig, that recipe sounds delicious. If only I could cook. Will make do with another EE instead, now which shall I have today?

:ebasket: This basket full I think.

Barbara, enjoy your trip to the garden centre. :D

Christine, another one thinking about the garden. I rang my dad today, even he's been out with his garden fork - and him with bad knees too. He's on 10mg Pred and has been told he will have to take it for the rest of his life, but I don't know whether they will lower the dose eventually. :?

Liquorice - ugh. Just the name of it turns my stomach. I'm the same with aniseed balls. My mum loved them and I couldn't even stand the smell.

Hope this lovely weather is going to last at least this week. The bit of warmth certainly makes you feel better. But it makes the eggs melt.

Yes, Barbara, it was lovely to get out wasn't it? You did your bit in the garden. Haven't been to a garden centre for a while. Glad you enjoyed it.

Kath, hope your dad didn't overdo it but I'm sure the fresh air was good. I hope the weather keeps like this too. Might have to drink the eggs. eastern_basket:

I went on a half price Easter egg hunt. Got one in S*insb*rys but T*sco only had a few and they were still full price. Got my son to call in to Ald* for a wheelbarrow. It'll make it easier to move my plant pots round and the soil from the compost bin. And got the grass cut front and back. It's the first garden waste collection and I managed to fill 4 bags.

Anyone need any more eggs? :easter-egg: :easter-egg: :easter-egg:

I think there's been a scarcity of Easter eggs ever since Woolworths disappeared. We always used to buy ours there, they had a good selection and the supermarkets don't seem to stock as much.
Ps OH bought me an Easter egg this year, first for about 20 yrs. Should I be worried?!

It started off foggy here too mig, but the sun eventually came out. s025.gif

Dad was intending having a good rest yesterday afternoon, to recover from his gardening. He's probably been sitting in his sun lounge today with the doors open, enjoying the sun and feeling happy with his efforts.

OH did a bit of work on our fences this morning. Just a few running repairs. As there is nobody next door, I let myself in the back yard to sweep all the pea gravel out of the back alley and into the yard. The only problem being, as I shut the gate again, some of it got shoved back out. :x

bimble, the wonder of Woolies. Loved that store. :easter-egg:

Barbara, glad you enjoyed the garden centre. :bunnysuit: Thanks for the cuppa.

Didn't have any Easter eggs in the end, so I've eaten half of one of my choccy oranges. Really fancied some chocolate marshmallows, but couldn't find any.

Hope Joan and Sue are feeling well. Sending best wishes to coco, cate, and anyone else I've not seen in for a while.

Hello bimble I remember well going in Woolworth after Easter,.,and there were loads of eggs left..I really did and still do miss the stores..I went into our local one on the last day of opening..and took some pic it was very sad..
Joan I was getting worried haven't seen you for a couple of days ..glad to see you post..hope you and Sue have had a good Easter
Mig it was foggy here this morning..then it turned out lovely..my favorite food is Chinese, but OH prefers Indian..so we always have a dilemma...you enjoy..sorry you didn't get an egg I bought myself one.. eastern_basket:
Kath..thats the trouble at this time of the year..I did my back in years ago digging ..they do say warm up first ..after not doing any in winter..hope he has been relaxing..I wish I could get down on our sun lounger...I love chocolate oranges..at least you both got some jobs done ..I just sat in the garden.. :bunny:

Barbara, I didn't realise wheelbarrow wheels had air in. My son said this one was already blown up. He put the frame together then realised he had left a couple of bits off. I've put them on now so just have to put the barrow on and get my son to tighten it all up. Don't worry about the jobs round the house. Enjoy the sun while it's here.

Bimble, I loved Woolies. They always had lots of eggs and you could find almost anything else too. I do miss it. First egg in 20 years? Hmmm, wonder what he's after?

Aw Mig, didn't you get an egg? Hope you didn't buy him one. My daughter's husband bought a football egg while he was at the shop. When she gave him an egg, he gave her the football one, saying he thought that's the one she wanted. She thinks he'd actually bought it for himself.

Joan, hope you and Sue are managing to get out and about with the dogs.

Kath, hope your dad did enjoy relaxing in the sun today. Chocolate marshmallows? I've not heard of them. They sound yummy.

Called in to Tesco today and found a gluten-free apple crumble reduced really low. There was only one left in the reduced section so I'm guessing they're not doing them now either. They do have quite a few new things but nothing I'm interested in. I was walking across the car park and had to let a car past. As I crossed behind him, he stopped and reversed. Luckily, I was ready and moved out of the way. It wasn't till then that he looked and saw me. :?

    Hello Everyone, s020.gif s030.gif

Glad you are all enjoying this lovely weather in one way or another. I've put a warning from the British Lung Foundation here in ChitChat, for those who have lung problems. Won't repeat it here.

mig, I think it's a MAN thing. You should hear mine sometimes - no, actually you shouldn't.

I had my blood test today at my local surgery. It was the lovely phlebotomist who is so gentle, I never feel the needle go in and I never bruise - unlike some. :?

Barbara, how are you sinuses lately? I hardly have any problems with mine now, but still take one Sudofed capsule before bedtime, and keep the Olbas stick by the bedside just in case.

Had a read back, welcome to Bimble and hope you will pop in again.

I was expecting nice weather but it misted over. The forecast was for Sunshine.

I had my first humira injection in ages on Monday and today I just could not get up. I felt exhausted. Well actually I'm up at 7 as my Son has extra school work but went back around 8.30 as I was so tired. Extra work days are over now.

Hope you enjoyed the crumble Applerose. I do hope Mango is not too confused by all these different homes?

We have bags and bags of old clothes in the lounge now. I'm going to make an effort to sell them or pass them on. Any money raised will go to Charity.

Had a strange missed number on my phone, googled it and it is from EE but seems to be an attempt to get info from you or sell you a more expensive contract so I'll not be answering that number next time.

Okay I'm off now, love to you all, take care

Cate, hope you enjoyed the sunshine in the garden today.

Barbara, I've got used to doing without things now, except bread for sandwiches and I like toast now and again. It's just nice to know they are there if I do want them.

Joan, hope your week is going well.

Kath, glad you've got a good phlebotomist. My dil used to do my tests. hardly felt a thing.

Elizabeth, sorry you're feeling so tired. Hope you managed an extra nap and you're feeling a bit better now. I've just had some of the crumble. it was lovely. Only thing is there is enough for 4 people so I ended up with 2 portions and have put the rest in the fridge. Mango seems fine. He knows all of us very well as my daughter always brought him when she came to stay and we saw him when we went to stay at theirs.

Toady, yes it does feel a bit strange being so warm for a few days after the cold. I'm sure we can get used to it.

Spent the afternoon with my youngest gd, who was 2 on Friday, while she jumped in her new paddling pool. By the middle of the afternoon, the breeze was a bit chilly but she was having fun. She even remembered which birthday card I gave her and brought me it. And she counted out 4 ginger men. eastern_basket:

Another almighty lie-in this morning. Its as if my body is a rock and can't move. Dan was up and videoing Simon's cat, I could hear him. sometimes he likes his own space so I didn't worry too much and his Dad was about.

OH and 2 of the children have popped over to their Nan's which is very rare and bringing home Mc D as I'm really too tired to cook and I'm still owed some burgers they forgot to put in the bag from last time (I phoned them and they gave us a number to collect some more at a later daete).

Not a lot happening here either Toady but the sun is shining so might go and sit outside for a change.
sorry you are still suffering Barbara.
enjoy the rest of the crumble applerose,

    Take care all
