Dangerous candles Barbara?? Gosh! I hope none of mine are. They're all yankie ATM so hopefully nice and safe. Well they ought to be at that price!

The jolly well should replace the routers!

Thank you Lucy has had a lovely day so far. She is on the way back from picking up a friend who is staying the weekend (girl not a bf!). Charley is driving bless her and she's still not well.

Joan thank you too 19 is a lovely age isn't it? I was so busy at 19 I feel sad she isn't able to do much. She's volunteering at the local primary from January though :)

Typed out my post then everything froze. Pages keep freezing but I can open and work with a new page but lose anything I've typed. I'll retype tomorrow. Must get to bed now.

Happy birthday to Lucy. Hope she's had a lovely day.

Evening to one and all - hoping that all everyone is as ok as possible. Later than normal, nearly midnight............ Pepe has had a little "glitch" so popped him back on sulfasalazine for a day or so.
Kerrinn I hope the day went ok at school, do they drop a bombshell quite often, as in ok, it's all yours  Oh and the Christmas party too, you will need to recover this week end.
Toni has kindly translated some things for you, I do apologise, I ramble on assuming that we all know what we are talking about - oops.
Miss M, (aka Miss Bette Middler), the new car, was very clean on Thursday and now she is mucky once more........what can you do.

We are often under the cloak of invisibility when we go on pocket duties for each other, hospital, gp visits, bloods, scans, anywhere that a little company helps.
I am Bubbles / Aidan / Matron, ( I was a nurse for many a long year, now retired due to ill health). We have a little ward in the cafe, which is well staffed with various well known nurses and drs.

Toni, I think I need to pop a couple of extra beds in the annexe. Chest infection and support needed for gf too. I will turn back the beds, ready. I think Nurse Gladys is on this week end and Duffy, so we are all well looked after.

I hope Lucy had a lovely day, no cake OM Goodness - well Eton mess it will be, I can live with that and I will pop the chocolate cake in the tin, we don't want it to go to waist, is that the right waste, lol.
Pepe was ok, he has had a little "busy time" shall we say, seems settled now and has had a sulfa, to calm things down. I am sure he will be ok, maybe the tuna was a little rich - my fault.

Rock City was in town center, I remember going there, so long ago it seems like a lifetime away. Wasn't it near to the Theatre Royal and the fire station.
Lemon Lavender is our fav yankee candle too - how cool is that - we have it in the car too :)
Berry ones, are a no no, OH cannot bear fruity ones, like strawberry etc and I cannot abide cinnamon and Christmas spices. Don't mind clean cotton and Champacca is really nice too.

Coffee and scones were fine, I had one normal and one decaff and felt fine, so it must be too much caffeine that sends me squiffy. Dad was on form and nothing was right today, no matter what
Mum's INR had dropped to 1.5, so they have increased the warfarin for a week, need it back around 2. I remember after my first heart attack they would not let me home until my INR went over 2 - which took well over a week, I was nearly fit to be tied. :?

Hi joan - steady away with that mouse, they do wander of their own accord as well. Hope you had better luck with the posting today. Hi to Sue and to doggies too. Take care and have a good week end

Hi Barbara - good that you are getting a new router, the least they can do. I see, it is the router itself that has been infected, naughty, very naughty people, with nothing better to do but upset others.
Alaska, oh I thought we were off to Lapland, but, I will go to either place, I don't mind. We could do Lapland then Inceland, Greenland, then Alaska............might as well eh. :)

I see the Baileys is keeping you nice and warm - I am having melting moments again, in the middle of December - I will have to go see the GP and discuss this with him, it gets me down sometimes. Anyway, I will go stand on the decking.

I will have to study the candle reports and see what chemicals they were concerned about.
I am with Barbara on the wages Christine, we will come and sort them out if they don't pay up in good time, with a bonus :)

Oh dear Elizabeth, a shrunken FILA, oops, I think we have all done similar things. Trying to think where you could get one from. Have you looked on FILA uk website, they have a full vintage page of clothing, not sure if that might help.

of course we can have Barry Evans, I will arrange for him to work alongside Duffy, over the week end.

    1969_television_doctor_in_the_house_barry_evans_robin_nedwell.jpg

We are naughty, throwing pills in the bin, lol. We were under pain of discipline if we threw medicines down the sinks in Hospital, everything had to go back to pharmacy. At one time, things were re used, if they had not been opened and were still sealed, now, they are incinerated, nothing can be re used.......what a waste.

Turkey dinner sounds a good option and def a pudding is in order.
    Carol singing too, enjoy.

Oh Christine, you have lost your post, how annoying is that - very, I hear you cry. Hope you are ok, up to date with wages, shopping etc.

Hi Carol, Mig, Kath, and everyone else too. I am chair shaped, so I had better move. Potter time. Wasn't that in Michael Bentines show, or was that potty time.:lol:
    Love to all

Morning all. Feel rather grotty this morning, can't even blame the party too much as I don't drink although I can't say that for pretty much everyone else there. It's more like the morning after my dose of METH and tiredness.

And yes, do seem to be asked to be in charge at school more and more. Our head is an OFSTED inspector so is out a lot and all the deputies are part time. That leaves me as I'm not class based and don't take too much nonsense from the kids.

Hope your router is sorted soon Barbara, my internet drops out way more than I would like.

Elizabeth, hope you have found a replacement FILA.

Hi to everyone else, slowly starting to learn your names.

I have to take my cats to the vet this morning for their annual check up. They are going to love me, I predict lots of complaining and grumpy looks.

    Morning!

Kerrin - the day after MTX eh? ((()))

It's good to take on responsibility when the boss is away - one day it might all be yours!! :)

Pusscats? How many and who are they?

Aidan - poor Pepe :( I hope it's not anything Daiscat brought with her. She did have her back-pack on last night..... :? I hope he settles soon.

Thank you for taking Charley and gf in - I needed a rest from the coughing!! Duffy and Nurse Gladys will look after them well :)

Yes that is/was Rock City!! Those were the days :D

Lemon lavender is the BEST smell fresh, but never nauseating :) You do have good taste!! Clean cotton is always a good 2nd choice.

Poor Mum I hope the INR gets sorted ASAP and blimey how on earth did you manage a week in hospital?? I nearly jumped out of the window at the QE many times with Lucy in almost Jan-Oct in '14. That's why the windows only open a smidge ;) Hope Dad isn't Mr Grumpy-pants today

Thanks for the birthday wishes Christine and I am so sorry about your post. So easily done. If it's vanished it's worth right-clicking in the message page where it was and then click on undo. It might come back???

Mig I am so pleased the amitrip worked for you :) YAY! Enjoy your break. Thank you Lucy had a great day

    See you all later

Back from the vets, the cats have had food so all happy in the house. I have two 11 year old tabby cats called Tom and Jerry. Spoilt rotten.

Looking forward to chilling a bit today along with a bit of sorting/tidying etc as off to South Africa next weekend. Feeling a bit better than when I woke up.

Noticed a bit of talk about restless legs. Is that an arthritis thing or caused by medication. My legs have never liked staying still!

    Working in a primary school
Can be very rewarding just as long as it is the right school for you. I've been at a not so good school but am
Now settled into a lovely one.

Listening to a prog on Notts TV. A large (Barry White look alike) gentleman playing 'A Nightingale Sang In Barkley Square' on Saxophone. My favourite instrument. I'm now floating.

Aidan, Rock City. I'm much too old for that. Sorry about Pepe's glitch. I hope the sulpha helped. XX Do you trust Duffy and Barry together? :?

Afternoon to one and all. A misty, murky day here, very dark too.

Hope you soon feel better Kerrin, Mtx is not always a welcome treatment. On top of being tired too just makes things seem worse.
I imagine there are some sore heads today, from the party. I prefer not to drink, I like to keep a sober head. I am daft enough on Tea and Coffee.
Good that you are handed the reigns to the school quite regularly. I like the idea of not taking much nonsense, that's how we were all brought up and it did us no harm. Glad that you are settled in a lovely school, as you say, there must be wide differences across the boards.
My Aunt, who sadly passed away this year, was a Headmistress of a junior school for most of her working life. She was very matronly, but lovely with it.

Oh, I see you have had a trip to the vets with Tom and Jerry, I do hope they were not as grumpy as our boy, Pepe, who was possessed when we took him the other week - we both ended up on antibiotics, after he planted his teeth firmly in my thumb and arm. It was quite a performance.

Pampered is good, it's the only way with pus cats, they love it.

Enjoy your fussing and sorting. Off to South Africa, very nice, family to visit, holiday? - sorry, I am being nosey. The weather will certainly be a lot warmer.

I see you holiday is almost upon you Mig, packing, ready for off on Monday, to the lovely Borders. hope you have a fab u lous time.
Glad the Amitrip helped, it does work well for both restless leg syndrome and neuropathic pain too. I take 50mg at the moment, (the Rheumy Dr wanted me on 200mg - I don't THINK so) Always leave room for movement with such medication, rather than wham, full dose and not be able to function.
My legs still do their own thing if I am awake and in bed

Pepe is keeping quiet about the back pack, that Diddicat arrived with, wonder if there was a mole or a vole in there, to keep them amused, whilst sharing the tuna.
I am sure he will be ok, he has had no more "incidents", will give him one more small dose of Sulfa, then leave things and see how we go. He has been eating well, both last night and this morning. Far too busy sleeping on the back of the sofa at the moment.

Rock City, those were the days, indeed, lol. Quite how I got home sometimes, I will never know. Do you remember Yate's wine lodge, boy that was a rough place sometimes. :?

I am sure Mum's INR will come up, it is all a bit difficult to guage with her diagnosis not helping the general run of things. I can well imagine you wanting to jump ship with Lucy, the time can go so slowly and you feel like you are living alongside reality. All the times we have spent with family in hospital, over the years, you end up on auto pilot and not knowing quite what is going on in the world.
I think it was two weeks, after the first balloons were put in my Right coronary artery, I had to stay one week after that, then it was a case of waiting for my INR. They put me in a side room, to keep me out of their hair. I was all for helping out on the ward, lol. Any IV alarms and I was there re setting things. :) Well, made myself useful.

Mum and Dad have gone to the Pensioners Christmas Dinner at the Village Hall today. They hold it each year, lots of food and merriment, singing and the like. Mum loves it, Dad puts up with it and will no doubt be grumbling about it for weeks.:lol:

Hi Joan, hope you are having a good week end, managing to get out and about, good that you have your hot water bottle, I know you like to be warm.
I think the NP / FU might be an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner and the Endocrinology one with a Locum Dr. They might just be doing some more checks on bloods etc. If you are not sure, they won't mind you ringing them, to ask them to clarify. It is your body and your appointment, you have every right to know what they are wanting to know and do.

Kath, I see you are away with the saxophone at the moment, you enjoy it all. Floating away, is good for the soul.
I am far too old for Rock City too, I imagine it has changed so much sine the late 70''s and 80's........thirty plus years, oh my.

I might ask Duffy to swap with Dr Kildare, just in case their is any flirting, it would only upset Charlie and after all the time it has taken them to get together, that would be terrible.

Hope you are OK Elizabeth, Carol and Christine too. I had better see to the drying, will need folding. Have to keep pus cats out of it, Pepe is always trying to open the door on it.

Everyone take lots of care XXXXX Aidan

    Morning everyone :)

Good morning Joan :) I reckon that endocrine person might be about the calcium maybe?? Only reason I say it is my bro had hyperthyroidism and he saw one and my friend's BIL has something to do with the parathyroid(sp) which does something to his calcium. I wouldn't have remembered that if you ahdn't said that.

Kerrin. I am glad pusskins are well - Tom and Jerry are good names...

This is Daisy, our cat. She is 7 and has many other names: Daisycat (on here so as not to get confused with dream daisy), Diddicat, Miss Slimkins, Sleek, Small-cat etc!!

    th_prombefore003.jpg

Not that I'm soft on animals of course

Thank you I hope Lucy enjoys volunteering. She is 19 (as of Friday) and is recovering from leukaemia. She has had hip surgery and is awaiting a shoulder replacement due to the treatment. She started with it 3 weeks after her 16th birthday and everyone on here was wonderful.

Aidan - oh gosh yate's!! Their white wine  Eeee it were rough, but great!!

I got pretty good at resetting those darn pumps too in the hospital, but restricted myself to Lucy's and advising others only  Mostly it was air or maybe it was finished, but the beeping?!! Dreadful :(

Siderooms are good, but a bit boring. Lucy spent about 2 weeks in the red one Stephen Sutton's photos were of, (red walls), with liver injury. Two other times were due to c-diff. Then there was the dehydration time that was due to HUGE quantities of IV MTX..shudder!

Now I have just returned from making a cup of coffee, normal, and Daisycat has been in and kindly popped me a fresh mouse on the floor by my laptop lead. Have taken a photo, but can't do anything about uploading it as the phone lead is also there

    Not nice :(

Mum and Dad will love the Christmas dinner. I am so pleased how well she is doing you know and her INR will soon be right.

Kath of course we trust Duffy and Dr Kildare together - she only ever really had eyes for Charlie :)

How lovely the saxophone! I will leave you some sax music on the window seat should you need to visit.

    Right onwards and upwards

Love to Barnara, mig Christine and of course Elizabeth.

Afternoon Mig, Carol, Toni, Joan, Barbara, Christine, Elizabeth, Kath

It is still a grey day, nearly dark already. A very chillaxing day, for not doing too much.

Miss Slimkins was obviously tired from carrying that back pack, bless, she needs her rest. I am sure there was a mole running round, I guess Missy Slim might have left it  :?
No, none of us are soft about our animals, in fact many other animals too. Much.
When I see an article about utter cruelty in the online press, I cannot read through it, I have been awash, far too many times. How people can do what they do, like eating cats and dogs in China, hundreds of them, all in crates...........oh my. One of the lovely ladies on reception at the vets, (I said it quietly, as Pepe is very close to hand). She gets SO SO upset, she cannot even talk about such things and I am sure they see some sad sights come through the door too. Am I digressing ?
I did want to be a vet, but, I would have been hopeless and stateless. I was bad enough with nursing, bawling with patients and relatives alike.
    Someone stop me.
I hope Lucy is a lot better and that Charlie and GF have improved, with your attention and care.

Yates, I am not sure it was wine, but we didn't care really.........We always went up to the balcony area, the ground floor was spit and sawdust, lol.
I am sure you were a dab hand with the IV pumps and more besides.
Side rooms are a bit boring, I know they wanted me out of the way, even though they said it was a "Perk" for being one of the gang sort of thing. I knew all along what they were trying to do, lol. C Diff is horrid, as are large doses of IV MTX,, bless her. I would have shared the cares and kept a close eye.

Oh that's kind of Daisycat to bring you such treats :lol: Is it living?
    She is a little minx

We will find out tomorrow how the Over 65 Christmas lunch went. I am sure Mum will have enjoyed it all. We won't ask Dad, lol or OH will be wound up like a clock before we even get to the G Center, which is all of 1 & 1/2 miles away !!
You never know, there might have been an Epiphany and he will have enjoyed it all.:lol:

Well, it is pill time for moi and Tosca and OH, it's quite a medicine round at 4.
I had better move, need tramadol, tooth hurty, back shouty, grrrrrrr.
Everyone take care. Hope you are all packed Mig, enjoy and have safe journeys.
Carol? Any news? Must be nearly overdue now?
Kath, I see you are resting on the window seat, listening to music.
Elizabeth, hope you are ok and getting some decent rests.
Christine hope you are having a good Sunday.
Hi too, to Joan and Sue and doggies too.
Kerrin and pus cats, hope all are ok.
Barbara, taking it easy with the baileys, medicinal properties of course.

We often press submit at the same time Barbara - great minds thinking alike eh.

I hope the new router is a lot better than your hijacked one. You should be flying with it :)

We have the same melt downs too, should we both pop to see Dr Kildare while he is around, it is Sir Lancelot tomorrow and I dare not mention having hot flushes to him  :? Aircon is great at any time of year, again, it is the humidity that gets us, cool or warm.
Good that you have your fake furs for our adventures, we don't seem to have a set off date yet. We could go soon and pick Mig up on the way North.
Amitrip is very good for restless legs, 50 at present, but I have taken 75 if they have been bad. My GP knows I adjust my pills around - he doesn't mind, he agrees that I should know what I am doing by now.
I am very glad you had a lovely time at the Indian Restaurant. I think we all feel our age sometimes. Nice to look back on the times when a pub crawl was a normal part of a week, lol.
Pepe is ok, in fact the three amigo's are all sprawled out on the sofa, on various cushions and fleeces. Pampered? No, not at all.

    Evening everyone.

My cats came with the names Tom and Jerry (they are rescued cats) although they have had various nicknames over the years, currently called fat cat and Minxie most often. They are 11 now.

Turbogran, that must be quite a small school using your church building during the week. We have 2 Christmas productions this week, the little ones tomorrow (nursery and reception) and the rest of the school on Wednesday.

Aiden, I think chocolate cake never goes to waste but always goes to waist. Lol Hope Pepe is ok once again. I’ve got a couple of spicy Christmas candles. I won’t like them while you’re around as you don’t like them. Thanks for offering to come and sort out my boss if he doesn’t have my wages ready. I discussed Christmas holidays with him and he is ok with me having 3 weeks off if I want to as I haven’t had any time off other than bank holidays this year so I hope he does have it all ready for me. It is bad that they don’t reuse any unopened medication. I was once given 3 lots of meds because of a mix up and when I said I’d only take one lot and they could keep the rest, I was told they weren’t allowed to do that. I had to have it or it went in the bin. Hope mum enjoyed the Christmas dinner and dad enjoys grumbling about it. I wanted to be a vet too but it meant dissecting animals in biology and I just couldn’t do it. I think I’d have been in tears too much to be able to deal with injured animals anyway.

Kerrin, hope you are feeling a bit better now. It could be your meth that’s done it. I hope they have forgiven you for taking them to the vet. Are you going to South Africa on holiday? Bet you are feeling excited.

Mig, a turkey and tinsel break. Sounds wonderful. Have a lovely time. Glad you had a better night’s sleep last night.

Toni, my page had frozen completely. I couldn’t do anything with it at all. I could only open a new page and delete the one with my post in. I called in to the Virgin Media shop and asked them about it. Apparently there was a new Microsoft update which had caused some people problems. Pages were still freezing this morning but seem fine now. They were due to have it fixed today. My sister spent some time in hospital with her daughter when she had a brain tumour. She learned a lot from the nurses and could even tell the doctors how to do things. I hope when you are reminiscing about those days in hospital you are thinking of how far Lucy has come and how strong you both are rather than getting upset. Ew, a fresh mouse. I’m sure Daisycat thinks it is wonderful.
Joan, I used to love a hot water bottle in bed but I get too hot even without one. Hope you are having a good weekend.
Kath, I quite like listening to the sax. It can be quite soothing. I wonder if my past is under the cloak. Can’t remember what it said now so I’ve just started again.

Barbara, sometimes the best nights out are when we don’t think we will enjoy it. Glad you did. I can’t get past 10pm these days. Hope your router comes tomorrow and everything gets back to normal.

Carol, I’ve been having problems with pages freezing and pages not downloading. Apparently Microsoft did an update and it affected a lot of people. It was supposed to be fixed today and so far mine has been ok tonight. Glad you’ve got your rollator sorted out and hope it’s comfy. No news yet on the baby but not long to go though. I often get what feels like the start of a cold but it doesn’t come to anything. Never know if it’s a cold or RA messing about.

What a day yesterday. Got the train to town and asked for a return ticket then asked the ticket lady if I could pay for the return journey on the train home. No wonder she looked at me funny. Got to the station for the return journey home to find the train was cancelled and I had an hour to wait so went for the bus. I needed to get 2 busses. Instead of getting on the 1st one which would take 15 minutes, I got a different one which took 3/4 of an hour. Finally got home at 6.30 instead of 5.30.

Today, I put up the Christmas tree and have all the other decorations lying about in the room. I'll gradually sort them out over the week.

My son and his wife and the kids went on the Polar Express to the North Pole this afternoon. They took Esmerelda Elf with them and asked Santa to have a word with her about being so naughty.

P.S. Sorry for the essay. Didn't realise I'd written so much. :autumn-sun:

Evening, well, morning, as it is now.

We will have to fix a date Barbara - we could call it the Polar Express, that would be very cool, pardon the pun. :frozen:
No, we cannot watch animal programmes, or vet hospital ones, I would be in no state at all.

Hi Carol, oh, I am sure you will be getting a call very soon. It is all exciting waiting for the phone to ring. I bet you are on pins.
Sorry you are having internet problems as well, it seems to be a trend at the moment. Let's hope the gremlins are sorted soon.
Good to hear the rollator is all as it should be, with the proper back rest.
Pop into the ward and I am sure hot lemon and honey, with barley, will be ready for you, take care, fend it off, lots of vitamin C and zinc.
Hope you enjoy the second Christmas event, by the school. I am sure it will be lovely.
Have been in pain, terrible tooth pain, but I have gone for max dosages of pain relief and they seem to be knocking me out, which is fine. :?

Hi Kerrin, nice that you rescued the pus cats, I am sure they are used to all their names, lol. Ours our called various names, depending on how much mischief they are getting up to. They are quite old now, 17, 16 and 15. Way into their retirement.
You enjoy your Christmas productions too, parents will be taking lots of pictures and filming too.

Hi Christine. Thank you for not lighting the festive candles, most kind of you, although I could wear a mask if needs be.
It will be lovely to have a nice break, I bet you need it after working all that time, with only bank holidays off. Wages on the table please :)
Yes, Mum enjoyed the Christmas party, we rang to see how it went. They won a hamper when playing bingo, of course Dad said that they think we are poor and cannot afford any food............What do you say. If you don't win, it's a fix, if you win it still isn't right  Dad, it's a game, you won a prize. Huh.
I didn't mind disecting animals in biology, that never seemed to bother me, not did being in theatre in hospital. I was far too nosey.
A lot of people have problems when microsoft issue some updates, they kind of force them on you and sometimes they are just not compatible with one pc or another. If you run windows, it is like hobson's choice, you get them, or you run security risks.
I bet the lady did look a bit unsure, when you had a return ticket already, lol. Never mind eh, we all do things like that, I do them daily.
Then the wrong bus, oh dear, it was not your best travelling day was it.
I am sure the distraction of putting the tree up has relaxed you, even if there are a few things all around.
I hope they loved the Polar Express, it is one of those must see films. Hope Santa was firm, but jolly, not wanting to upset Esmerelda.
Don't worry about writing an essay, it is lovely to read through. I am a terror for nattering on.

OK, my pills are catching up with me, one more tramadol and I think I will be lights on, no one home.  :?

Aidan - you sounded exhausted last night! I hope you slept ok with no flushes ;)

I do watch animal programmes and I bawl my eyes out all the way through

They won the hamper fair and square and even if 'they' did think they were poor it would be a reasonable assumption to make - cancer is an expensive illness to get

Christine your wages had better be ready for you...that's all I can say :( Else we'll send the elves 'round!!!

Your sister was probably a lay-expert like me!! I think us Mums are pretty helpful in those circumstances and think that family should be allowed to stay with older patients too in hospital. They have time to ensure food is eaten et cetera nurses are rushed off their feet.

So pages have been freezing??? How infuriating!! You can only switch the computer off then can't you? :( grrr!! I am windows 10 it hasn't happened here yet though I will be ready :?

Kerrin Tom and Jerry are good names, bless them. I have had many rescue cats over the years. In fact I don't think I got any deliberately. I got one at the first ever radio 1 party in the park. Sutton park 1992. A wee tabby abandoned in the loo. The police fed her ham and milk and after the do I took her home. I named her Matilda Foxtrotter :)

Carol I am so glad the rollator has it's new back rest and you are up and running!

Margate eh? Gosh It's a long time since I've been there :)

No news on the baby's arrival then? Won't be long will it I am so exited :)

I hope you aren't going to be ill ((()))

Barbara it breaks my heart to see animal cruelty and child cruelty and vulnerable adult cruelty too.

    :(

I think it might have been all perfumed candles in enclosed spaces so I will be careful from now on.

Thanks Lucy did have a great birthday.

I am coming up NORTH today for Lucy's appointment with the shoulder specialist.

Cloak of invisibility out please and everyone in including elves and cats and dachshunds ;)

    Love to you all

I have had a really good day, and hope it continues. I've hardly had any any pain. 2 Paracetamol at 4 am, then a 5ml Oramorph at 7.30 am and another at 12.30 pm. Will have another around 5 pm. Will keep Paracetamol next to the bed i case I need some in the night. Hoping tomorrow will be as good.

Tomorrow I have a fasting blood test tomorrow. Booked transport for next Monday to see the Osteoporosis nurse. Not bothering with a wheelchair. Only having an ambulance and one member of staff. Taking my walking stick. Oooh I am brave. Ordered my next prescription, which includes mtx Oramorph and Fentanyl.

Hope everyone and puss cats and doggies are keeping well. xx

Hello to one and all - hope everyone is as ok possible. Another grey and damp day, warm though. Is it winter ?

You were right Toni, I was exhausted and I did not take much rocking last night. A haze of Tramadol and Zopiclone did the trick :?

Mum really enjoyed the Christmas Party, winning at Bingo was great. It was a food hamper, so they ate most of it for their supper, good on them. Cancer is indeed a very expensive illness - all we can do is admire Mum for doing so well and carrying on as normal as possible. I am sure we do our bit to keep her moving forward. I am certain you know, all too well, how that is, when a loved one is ill. XX We did laugh when Dad said, there were lots of old people there, yes Dad, there would be, it was for pensioners only and you are 82 don't forget. :? He thinks someone who is 60, is an old person.

We are off out for lunch tomorrow, our treat, Mum was up for it straight away and Dad was in agreement. (pick me up from the floor, lol).

You are braver than me, for watching the animal programmes. I am bad enough at the vets,, I have been known to loose the plot on more than one occasion.

I think windows 10 is more stable than the other ones, like 7 and 8. You wait, mine will go base over apex now.

I love the name of your adopted **** cat, Matilda Foxtrotter, how very aristocratic, very Downton 8) I will give money to animal shelters and cats protection league, but we could not go, I know what would happen, yep, a house, FULL of **** cats.

I will take heed of the candle warning too. I guess the smaller the space, the more volatile compounds are given off, we always have door open, right through, so air is always moving about. It even says in our new car handbook, in summer, when you first get in, open the windows for a little while, so that the volatile compounds that are given off by all plastics, can be wooshed away.

I am there under the cloak, did you find me, I had scones and dropped a couple, so sorry for the mess. I seem to be lost  I hope things went well. (((((((((()))))))))

We did have a quiet, but a nice week end Joan, just us two, with the pus cats, chilling out a bit and doing our own thing. Sometimes, you have to get off the roller coaster. Love to you Sue and the doggies.

Hi to everyone else, Barbara, Carol, Kerrin, Mig, who will be in the Borders by now, Kath and Christine........

Better move and sort some washing. I am sure it breeds, the machine never seems to be off and there are only two of us - plus the kids :)

    Take care XXXX Aidan
