    I tried reading back but Dan will be home soon from his Special needs Youth club so thought I'd better pop in and say hello.;

Toni its one of your D's birthdays coming up isn't it? On the 9th?

Charlie just had hers. I didn't see her but sent her a cheque. Yep other D is staying home because she's only moved in today, cats will need to be settled and has a new gf so wants to spend time together.

    Gotta go as he's home!

Aiden, I always say things like ironing will wait. It's not going anywhere. Oh Aiden, you have been naughty, throwing an antibiotics in the bin. Well it was only one and you know what you're doing. Xmas cards? I've put mine on the table, still in the box. Thanks for the hugs. I woke up a little early this morning but I did sleep better last night. Good to hear that Pepe is back to normal. There are a few people round here who have their houses covered in twinkly lights. Two houses round the corner, next door to each other, have a good display with reindeer and lights in the trees and just a few on the houses.

Toni, thanks. I did sleep better. I'm glad they do white light rather than flashy lights. I bet everywhere looks so pretty. I remember DD having to get rid of the piano. Such a shame but she did have some of it made in to pens. They are beautiful. Carols round the tree sounds lovely. We had out tree lighting here last Sunday. I couldn't go as I was at a 1st birthday party but people said it wasn't quite as good as usual as they hadn't arranged for the school choirs to be there and there was no farmers' market. They also assumed the pubs would sell chestnuts and snacks but they didn't.

Mig, quite a few of my clothes have shrunk in the wash. Hope you get your bloods sorted out. Like I said to Aiden, the ironing isn't going anywhere. It'll keep.

Joan, I slept better last night so my eyes aren't so bad today, thanks. You like Baileys too. I can't drink hot coffee as it makes me feel sick. Might have to try it in iced coffee.

Barbara, I was just telling Joan that I can't drink hot coffee so might try some Baileys in iced coffee.

Kath, I'll have some chicken stew. It sounds very filling and comforting for the winter. And Italian bakewell tart will go down a treat. I remember passing a field on the bus and it was always full of lapwings. I've just realised, I haven't seen any for the last few years. That is a pretty thrush. From Siberia. Wow, it has come a long way.

Elizabeth, no need to read back. Just as long as you're ok. Hope Dan enjoyed the youth club. Happy birthday to Charlie. Has your daughter moved in to a new place or with you? And a new gf. Aw, isn't young love lovely.

Day off today and I had planned on doing nothing much. Ended up emptying the unit in the dining room and putting all the Xmas drink and food in there. Think I've overdone it a bit. Oops. Cleaned the under sink cupboard and threw out lots so managed to get the kitchen bin in there out of the way. I bought a Pokemon book for my GS on Saturday. Turned the house upside down and can't find it. I think I must have left it in the shop. Phoned them but they said it hasn't been handed in. And I did a little bit of ironing.

Evening to one and all - a warm evening it is too, has spring arrived already  I was lathered today, had to run the AC in the car for a moment, while I cooled down, lol.

I think we can have a knitting circle, an ironing circle, a Lapland adventure trip, a card writing session and that will see us sorted for a while :)

I am glad you have recovered from your NEC grand tour.

I hope you have increased your 1% of cards Toni, says me who was putting it off until the cows came home.
I nearly fainted when I bought the stamps in Sainsb---- HOW MUCH :?
I think the ironing will have to wait until tomorrow, we ran out of time today (Wednesday). But it would be nice to natter amidst the steaming, maybe stop for a scone every hour.

Pepe said that Diddicat, Slimming world champion, had been round for a training session, while we were out, but, I am not convinced, even less so on hearing that the broomstick has not been moved. They are a pair.
All three are crashed out, Mother and Cookie on the back of the sofa and Pepe on the fleece, on the chair next to OH computer table. (he dives for OH's chair, the moment he moves, it is battle Royal, for posession).

I cannot speak of Miss M, she is in a terrible mess - we will have to tend to her asap, or I will have to hide in shame and the neighbours will be talking, :? :? This weather is not the best time, for keeping a cream and black car spotlessly clean.

I am glad you have a lovely Lady Vicar :) The upcoming Carol service, outside, sounds wonderful. I always loved midnight Communion. I had to laugh when Dad was taking the services, he would welcome everyone," including those who have staggered in from the pub across the road". Nice one Dad.

I am very jealous of your Nephew for going to see the Northern Lights. See, I am green

Thank you for the heads up on old Nottingham Mig. I do remember the Flying Horse, from one of our many pub crawls around town, in my carefree youth. We always ended up in the lace market at the QE, the music was all 60's and 70's, it was great.
So your jeans have shrunk too, it seems to be happening all over, my shirts have become a lot smaller recently, I blame the washing machine.
I hope you had a lovely lunch.

Hi Joan, we did have a nice time at the Range, even the coffee was not too bad. We bought a few things, it was an ocean of lights, baubles and every possible Christmas razzle dazzle.
Hope you are both ok and the doggies too.

I see the Bailey's is out and about, Barbara is imbibing with a little tot - I used to like it, over ice, but I cannot drink at all now, with the raft of pills that I take.
Your jeans have shrunk too, what on earth are we all using to wash things in, lol.
You would have loved Dads services, I have his book of sermon's, from all the years, a treasured book indeed in fact it would make a fantastic film.
Vegas was lit up again tonight - but, they don't leave the lights and billowing polar bear on past 930pm, which is fine by us, such lighting is not proper, in a lovely wooded area.

Thank you for the menu Kath, it is delicious. I think I would like the Breakfast Bagel, then Shortbread and Italian Bakewell Tart. Mmmmm lovely.
I have never seen a Dusky Thrush, it is beautiful, no wonder there was an invasion of twitchers, a rare bird to see, all the way from Siberia.
Hope you are ok and managing to mobilise gently.

As long as you are as ok as possible Elizabeth, don't worry about reading back, things can move on a pace sometimes. I hope Dan enjoyed the youth club. Glad the family are ok, new home, new partner, lovely.

Hi Christine, I know, I should have taken that last antibiotic, but hey ho, it slipped out of my hands.
You are welcome, hugs are a necessity in life.
Glad you managed to sleep better, good to hear, may it continue.
See, you are nearly there with your Christmas Cars, lol. I have done a few more, ticking down the list nicely now. Just have to go fill up our little post box on Friday (we are having an at home day Thursday).
That's a shame about the Carol service not going as well as it could have, a few glitches in the planning perhaps.
So hot coffee makes you sickly, mmm, now, I might just let mine cool off a bit, maybe I drink it too quickly and overload on it a bit. I will let you know on Friday when we go back to the G center.

I am glad you had a nice "day off", doing far more than you ever intended, but, achieving things in the process, which is always a bonus. How annoying that the Pokemon book has gone astray.

Right, I had better move, I am almost statue like. Hi to Carol, hope all is well.
Hi to everyone else too, who may pop in for a cuppa.

Take lots of care, XXXX Aidan

Welcome to the café Kerrsa you are very welcome. This weeks menu is up and I will make you a caramel machhiato. Decaf?

Joan you must be so frustrated!! By the time you've posted can't remember what you wanted to say

I see mig's jeans have shrunk....I think that is these new washing machines - theycan do that I read it somewhere...??? :?

Aidan I have now done about 33% of village cards :) Ironing is on for today yes a little later I need to nip to Tesco or Sains first.

Stopping for coffee and cake will be compulsory. How are we to have the energy to steam without?

Sleek, AKA miss slimkins, AKA Daisycat, AKA Diddicat is going today for her training session - when it stops raining - she's started up the broomstick and it's ok.

Poor Miss M - get her cleaned - if it's not raining your reputations are at stake.

When I spent time in Nottingham it was at the hole in the wall, the TBI (trent Bridge Inn) and the nightclub..what was it called???

ah well...I was young then ;)

Martin at the end of the village has a santa flag to replace his England one Christine  there's always one ;)

Aw I would have chosen the 1st birthday party too :) No chestnuts or farmer's market? nah

Your clothes too?? Maybe it's a conspiracy to get us all to buy new ones??

Blimey what a busy day off you had  I bet you did leave the pokemon book and someone else had it. As my Mum used to say "I hope they needed it more than you".

    th_20161207_150143.jpg

Was at EX-mil's yesterday and caught this chap!!

Elizabeth thank you :) You have a fabulous memory - it's Lucy's she will be 19. She was just 16 when the leukaemia started. Happy birthday (belated) to your Charlie. Welcome to your new home to your D and GF and pusscats :)

    Keep well yourself xxx

Pear salad and bakewell tart for me please Kath - another yum menu I see :)

That thrush is lovely yes! she has a sweet little face and her markings! I think she's part tabby like Daisycat :)

Hi Barbara your jeans too  gosh and I thought it was just me

There's an older couple near where I used to live who go mad lights everywhere every colour and they even create a Santa-house out of a shed and lights bless them they give you stale mince pies if you stop to admire :)

    Best avoided!!

I wish I could photograph the Church properly at night - I might ask my bro - he has a 'proper' camera :)

We can all go to the Northern lights as Aidan suggested - stay in that posh hotel with the glass roof so we stay warm. Or we could cruise there??

    Right must get on!

    Love to everyone

How do Kerrsa, glad to have you on board. All grub in the cafe is calorie free , so help yourself.

Aidan, was the nightclub the Dancing Slipper? One of my haunts, I might be wrong, that was in West Bridgeford.

Toni, hope Daisycat wasn't too disappointed about the mole. :?

Oh dear Joan, how annoying, losing your post.

Bin men have just been. They leave them in the car park for us to fetch. OH usually fetches it, but he let me today. So that's my walkies for today.

Aiden, it seems more like spring here too although it rained heavily most of the morning. The price of stamps is horrendous, isn't it? No wonder people don't post letters and cards much now. I imagine there are quite a few people who have never been to church but stagger in to midnight mass on Christmas Eve. I have 5 cards written out and ready to post tomorrow so have made a start.

Hello, Kerrin and welcome. The kettle is always on and everything is calorie free so help yourself. Don't worry about remembering who we all are. There are a few of us and sometimes there are so many posts to read. Hope you had a lovely afternoon with the little ones. And you're off swimming. Wish I could swim but I'm terrified of the water.

Joan, it's annoying enough losing one post, never mind two. I think I would have given up. Hope you are having some of the spring like weather.

Toni, so it is the washing machines making all our clothes shrink. I did wonder. A Santa flag? Not seen one of those. There is a house in the next town which always has an England flag flying. Love the elf. Hope he didn't dribble. I have a couple of pictures to show you of Esmerelda Elf. Must get them uploaded. I've tried to take pictures of night scenes with my phone but they never turn out well. I always talk about the flavour of scents too.

Mig, I love candles too but don't use them nearly enough. I've bought some Christmassy ones.

Barbara, what a terrible time you are having with your router. Hope it is behaving now. I haven't heard about the candles being bad for you. That's a bit worrying as I love to have them lit at Christmas. Sorry to remind you that your kitchen units need cleaning. Nobody can see anyway.

Kath, you've brought the bin in. Well done. It sounds as if things have improved a little.

I don't know what's going on. I haven't used an alarm clock for about 7 years now but my body clock wakes me up around 7.30 every morning which is fine. For some reason, it's decided that I don't need to wake up till 9.15 am every Thursday. It's been happening for about 5 weeks now. 7.30 am every day and 9.15 am on Thursdays. :? It means I don't get to work till abut 10.30 so the day is over by the time I leave. Very strange.

Evening to one and all, hoping that friends are as well as can be......

d012.gif Hi Kerrin, lovely to meet you. You are MORE than welcome to pop into the cafe at any time. Lurking, I see, I have heard rustling, but thought it was someone under the magic cloak.

Hi Joan, I see you have been struggling with vanishing pages - I think we all have gremlins in the computers at times and they definitely have a mind of their own. k050.gif

Hi Toni, The coffee you are making for Kerrin, sounds lovely, I might have to try one, decaf please and thank you :)

I see the % are rising, on the card front - we are just about done now, some local ones and some to go with presents next week. We did have to buy some more cards, now we are snowed under with them, well, it was buy two, get three packs.
It was nice to see Miss Slimkins, although tuna eating, was not really my idea of circuit training :lol: don't tell her I told you.

I did the ironing and yes, we cleaned Miss M, oh my what a mess she was in. The shame. Anyway, she is spotless and the cloths are now clean, after 3 washes.
I know the hole in the wall and the TBI, I have fallen out of the there on a few occasions. I cannot remember the name of the nightclub, not for life of me. Mig might know, I was obviously too far over the eight to even remember its name, lol. It is a Wetherspoons pub now - gosh, times change eh. I used to like going to the Rowing Club as well, crazy days............

I see we are all having our clothes shrunk, there be magic afoot. I will have a word with the Pendle Witches and see what is occurring, in the mists on the hill.

Is that an Elf I spy? Perching, precariously on the edge of the loo. Glad you were there to prevent any disasters.

I think it is someones Birthday. Happy Birthday Lucy. :D:D

    Happy-Birthday-Cake-To-You-HD-Wallpaper.jpg

    happy_birthday_for_the_cat_lover_ca.jpg

Hope you have a lovely day XX

Oh dear, crazy lights and stale mince pies, how nice :? Bless, I bet it took them so long to put the lights up that the pies went off.

Look forward to the Church picture, night time pics are not always best on smartphones, although the Samsung usually do good low light pics, but unless you are steady as a rock, they tend to blur.

Yes, we are all off to the Northern Lights, oh, a cruise, mmm, I think I would have to fly, (not that I like flying at all, but I dislike boats with a passion). Remember the last cruise...........

Love the pic of Diddicat chasing the mole. One nil to the mole :)

Hi Kath, I cannot recall that nightclub and I was often in West Bridgeford as my school friend lived there. It was handy getting the South Notts bus to Gotham, where Dad was the Vicar.
Out for walkies and fetching the bins as well, way to go Kath, very good to hear, (not that you are doing the bins), but walking short distances each day.

Hi Mig, I am a devil for Yankee Candles, (others are available). Plus I like to have t lights lit every night, candles always focus the mind. :)

Hi Barbara, oh dear, my account was hacked with TT, so they let me terminate my contract without penalty, I wrote to Dido Harding, the CEO of the company and they rang me from the chairmans office - get me eh. I was appalled at their customer care, so we have changed over to Sk- and all is well again.
Oh, are the perfumes not so good, or is it the fact of burning oils and various compounds in the air............I still burn them and have done for a long time now. The better the blend of natural oils, the better the outcome. Some candles are only scented on the outer edge and they are a con really.
I guess Mig is right, we have to balance what we like with the knowledge that some things are better for us than others, like cake, that's really good for you and all natural :) lol.
Steady away with the Baileys, lol. Hic
Hope your internet behaves and if not, write to the CEO and change providers.

Hope you enjoyed the fayer and some naps on the way home Kerrin. Don't worry about trying to remember everyone. I forget who I am half the time and between myself and lovely Barbara, we get in a right muddle sometimes   and we have been here for years. Swimming is so good for us, sadly I will not bare my bellies to a pool, unless it is at home, all I need is to win the lottery.

Hi Christine, I see you are underway with the cards, collectively we are all doing very well :)
The weather is very warm, we had the mesh in the window while the tumble dryer was on, OH was roasted. Even more so tonight after super boost soup, garlic bread then sticky toffee pud with custard, thought he was going to ignite :o

It must be something to do with your biorhythm Christine - something we all have, but I have no idea how it all works within the body, lol. Strange that it is just on a Thursday, do you do anything different on a Wed evening?

Hi to Carol, Elizabeth and all. I had better move. One am already, time for pills, T and bed. Up earlier to take Mum to warfarin check, then coffee and cakes and shopping afterwards. I will have one normal and one decaf, see how I go.

love to all. Take lots of care XXXX Aidan

Hi to everyone and thanks for the coffee, much appreciated this morning as quite tired after swimming last night. Fingers quite sore too. No time for rest though as just got a message from school I'm in charge this morning. And then it's our Christmas party tonight.

    Morning everybody :)

Kerrin you are welcome to the cup of coffee....Aidan has had one too(decaf) are you a caffeinated person??

You are in charge? The kids from the school over the road used the Church (also over the road) last night for their Nativity!! It was so sweet :)

    Enjoy the party!

(Miss slimkins is my cat, Miss M is Aidan's lovely new car and we have a 'cloak of invisibiity' in order to go wherever we wish ;) )

Aidan how right you are, Lucy 19 today. I have Charley here too with a chest infection and her gf...needing my support ;)

Lots on today new nails and the like then her friend is staying for the weekend.

No cake, (she isn't partial   ) so I am making an eton mess ;)

Ah... tuna was it? is that jaw exercising?? She informs me that Pepe is A-OK now :)

I have fallen out of both too Aidan, sometimes pushing wheelchairs! (yes to my shame with people in them - luckiy young people too), ! How irresponsible I was in those days

The nightclub is a wetherspoons now :( I still can't remember....was it...no it won't come to me ristzy's, rock city????

I love yankies too lemon lavender, two Christmas ones but not winter berries....

Hope Mum's INR is ok and you both enjoy your coffees :)

Christine the Elf did indeed dribble  Typical

Girl-elfie has a name?!! Esmerelda Elf I love it :)

Can't wait for the piccies. Good scented candle do almost have a flavour don't they? The chocolate ones make me queasy :(

Gosh - how odd your body clock waking you later on a Thursday morning :? Wonder what that's about? Is there something you don't want to do on Thusdays???

mig Sweet apple and cinnamon very festive :)

Right best get on - lots to do today :(

Welcome Kerrin. Hope you are looking forward to the end of term concerts and parties, they can be stressful for teachers!

Confession time: I shrunk my son's lovely Fila sweater. I'm now desperately trying to find a replacement but its a vintage one. It now just about fits me.

Happy 19th birthday Lucy. What did you buy for her? That means you can officially start your Christmas preparations now!
Sorry to hear Charley is unwell and hope she gets better soon.

Joan sorry you lost your post. Its so annoying isn't it?

Can we have Michael Upton (Barry Evans)from Doctor in the house on duty pretty please! Has he been on duty before?...much prefer him to George Clooney!I'm waking up once an hour so he can fetch me a hot water bottle and pain killers. Antibiotics in the bin Aidan? Funny cos I dropped some co-drydamol on the floor and now cannot find them(its in the packet still) and wondered if I chucked them in the bin-you know all that rushing around multi-tasking.

Meal out on Sunday, not planning on having scampi-in-love this time, I'm going for the Turkey Christmas Dinner set meal :) I must make sure I have a pudding, tiramisu, cheesecake or trifle. There will be carol singing before hand and I'd quite like to go for a change.

Bad news with the router Barbara, how annoying. Is it T*** T*** still?

Love to all, better post as lappy is running out of charge!
