A late evening to one and to all. I hope everyone is as ok as possible and keeping warm. Jack frost is out and about again. Tues morning, everything was glistening with ice. :frozen:
I am trying to read back and as usual I am getting myself in a pickle, which is the last thing I need to be in at the moment.
Pepe seems a lot better, things settled down last night and he slept right through, I tried, but I had one ear and one eye open. It was a very traumatic evening. He has slept for long periods throughout the day, we left them all to rest and popped out for a little while. He is eating ok, grooming, talking (as pus cats do).
Toni, I hope you are recovering from overdoing things. Naughty, but, we all do it. Long rests on the window seat, (mind Kath), looking out over to the Church, will rest the bones and the soul.
Good that options are being looked at for Lucy. Options are good and give a broader realm of treatments.
Miss slimkins is ok I trust, no sign of any training today, we will draw a veil over last night and today and start again tomorrow.
Thank you so much for racing around with the mops and vacuums, Sir Lancelot is a stickler for everything pristine. He is on all week, I dare not argue, but I have Duffy, to bring a semblance of bedside manner, lol.
Barbara I see you are coming with me to have liposuction. We can share a mini ward, just two in the bay, with private "facilities". We will be bruised to the nines, but thin as a rake............. :?
Sorry that George has had to take a teaching programme - we might be able to sneak him back over Christmas, but don't tell Kath
I hope the tappas was good, along with cakes Oh we love cake.
Has the laptop come yet? I haven't got to the bottom of the reading yet..........
Sorry your Daughter is not coming over at Christmas Elizabeth. I guess it is difficult for everyone to be everywhere at these times of year. We have the same, we won't see some family, whilst others will appear on Boxing Day...........Personally it holds no great store for me, after loosing so many family members around Christmas and New Year, but, we put on a brave face and make the most.
Let's hope the meds start to kick in asap. You will be off like a rocket come Christmas, lol.
I would always say yes to Steroid treatment - I know they mask things, but when I have had them in the past, say for a bad chest infection, the pains do ease noticeably. Having said that, I would not want to take them long term, covering things up is ok, but you can easily do more damage and not realise it.
Oh no, no kissing of beards, not allowed, Poor OH. Leave a razor laying around, as a subtle hint.
Kath, glad you like Sit Lancelot, he is a real old fashioned Consultant, with everyone in fear and dread - I remember such Consultants well. As students, we were told to go and clean the sluice when the Consultant was due to do ward round.
Well done with the walking and doing some chores etc. It does have a positive benefit, even if it is tough going at the time.
The menus looks lovely, I think I will go for the muffins and then the chocolate cherry scones - Thank you.
Hi Christine, yes, we did enjoy the shopping outlet. It was cold though and the wheelchairs were no good, they were all way too small. So I walked about half way, then had had enough. Mum stocked up on new trousers and then we left. They do have a restaurant, but the coffee is like ditch water and the T is just as bad, so we dropped BIG hints that we were only a mile or so from Costa - so there we went to thaw out and drink proper coffee.
We didn't buy a thing. lots to look at and say "that's really nice" but nothing tempted us to part with money.
There does seem to be a lot of hair about - I have swept up, almost enough to stuff a cushion. Elfie is darting about with those scissors.
I hope the party went well for your GS and you managed to find out what you needed to know about Christmas presents. Both blankies, without a doubt, bless her.
Hi Joan, thank you, Pepe is a lot better today, resting as I type, on the back of the sofa.
I hope you are both ok and keeping warm. We have you down for pocket duties, well, magic cloak duties as they are now.
So, you did get the laptop Barbara, how wonderful, good that you know your way around windows 10, it is far more intuitive than previous windows versions.
It was very cold last night, our heating clicked on a few times in the night. We leave it on about 17, just to keep everything aired. Then, when I surface, it is cranked up. All those weeks of being in a lather in summer and now we are putting blankets and heating on full blast.
Enjoy your new laptop.
our new arm chairs came today - well, the delivery men came to the back door and the chairs would not fit through....................  Every which way, but no. "do you have a bigger door" well, no, these are normal front and back doors, they are not dolls house size. Anyway, they had to say failed delivery and took them away
I rang the interiors at the garden center. Told them of the fiasco. they rang back, we are coming out with the chairs again, the staff say they will fit..........so, interiors staff came, with chairs, managed to get one of them in to the kitchen..............door through to lounge is smaller, so there was not a hope. Door taken off.......nope, no go.............so, door back on, back to the store they went.
We will go in today and see what our options are, big shame as they were perfect chairs, right height etc. Anyway, I am sure the saga will rumble on. We won't just go for the first ones that will fit in the door...........if needs be, we will get our money back.
Right, way past midnight, time to move, I am set like concrete. Time to potter. Lots of washing to catch up with...................Everyone take lots of care XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Hello Barbara Christine Aidan and anyone else I missed.
Barbara I hope you have a good day keep warm.
Christine what are you going to do with all your knowledge you have learnt.
Aidan i'm so sorry about your chairs I hope they can find the one's you want. how is Pepe this morning.
take care all keep warm
joan xxtake care
joan xx0 -
Oh Aidan You poor poor things I am so srry about the chairs I bet you need them too! I would be so upset if I were you I hope there are options like for Lucy's shoulder.
I have been in overnight and done another clean....Sir L. must have everything spick and span - I don't want Duffy getting it I the neck
Now Diddicat came back with a story, Pepe is off sick, no circuit training so I believe her. Please give him a gentle tummy rub from me ((())) She'll be over today once we can start the broomstick. Should have brought it in really it doesn't like this ice
Hi Christine - very chilly wasn't it? We had the fire raging in the lounge as soon as we got in last night. Brrr!!!!
Well done for your 93%. What are you next planned courses then?
Putting together the castle is the right thing to do - I always did it for mine because a) kids Dad (twit - not Paul), could never do it as he started on the beer first thing on Christmas day
and b) the kids couldn't wait!!
Barbara is happy with her new gadget I see? it looks great Barbara! Are you having fun playing around??
You must have been chilly to need that blankie on and sleep with it on too!
I saw a lake frozen over, but I think our pond is ok - will check later. Can't do any mole hills today for sure.
Charley gave her dummy to Santa.
Joan I hope that the blood results are good this time. They will ring you if not. Thank you the hip Dr seems very pleased although he has ordered an MRI on the 'other' hip which is sore. Hopefully due to her using it more to protect the operated one.
Should come through in 6 weeks then he'll see her again in 9.
We'll all be under the cloak for the 16th Dec
Love to everyone Kath still moving a little I hope? Elizabeth I hope you are warm enough with those windows and no usable fire :?
Carol - finished knitting and that the new rollator fund is rising.
Toni xx0 -
Morning all ..frosty but dry so that will do.. :autumn-sun: I love this wavy sun
Aiden so glad that Pepe is a little better and slept all night..they are a worry like children..I have notices that the ones next door sleep a lot now they are getting on in years...what a shame about the chairs ..I hope they can solve it..we had the same prob twice and I panic now wha ordering furniture the last lots went though our neighbors garage to get to our patio doors.. its good we are having a private ward for the LS..there will be lots of moaning form me with all the bruising.. I was born with big thighs..
Joan hope you and Sue are keeping warm..are you treating one another for Christmas..I wounder if you have the same taste like some twins do..and buy the same things..
Toni you have been busy in the cafe..so daisycat has been circuit training and Pepe is not up to it....I love it.. hope that hips of Lucy is not giving a lot of trouble..
Christine..how come these toys will never go back in the box..its drives me mad ..when you can store them away..you save 2p..wow wonder what you could buy with that...
Yes all I am enjoying the laptop the keys are brilliant much easier...
Toni I got my first comp in 1999 it had an upgrade for the millennium..seems so long ago..it was a massive desktop..and still sitting here somewhere
Today oh is taking the curtain down to be washed..not a clue when they were last dont  I used to just hoover them in place..
Right I had better move..love to everyone...xxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
No-one will clean like you do Barbara. I hoover my curtains too and only tend to wash them once a year.
Diddicat says she's looking forward to Pepe's circat training, but I think she might try to talk him into a more restful session......tea and biscuits
Who else is boked in for LS?? I know you are, but who else??? I was born with a big behind - fashionable now - wasn't then. I was a size 8 with a big behind. Thanks to my Mum
Lucy is in one of the beds. She has a rash under her nose (antibiotic cream for that) and a sore throat. Doubt the are connected. Temp is normal so hot lemon administered.
Think the hips give her more gyp if she stays in bed too long :?
I think OH should take the old computer to the tip or flog it on ebay - have rid ::)0 -
I got a perching stool this morning. I use it when I'm making a coffee. We have a one-cup, so no lifting a hot kettle.
"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

That looks a nice one Kath. Every little things that helps you do what you want to do more comfortably is brilliant
One cup is a good idea too
One I made you!0 -
That looks a good chair Kath.
I have had to buy a couple of new jumpers cos I shrunk two in the new washer ,the numbers are slightly different to the old washer so I got them on a hotter wash oops, when I brought them they were £14 now they have gone down to £4 bargain.
Hope Lucys not getting a cold don't want her sniffing for xmas.
Sorry about the chairs Aiden hope you find something you like that fit.0 -
£4 for a jumper mig? Total bargain
I think Lucy is getting a cold, but tomorrow she is having hair extensions so she will jolly well get there!!!
Have had the fire in almost all day today.

Hi all just popped in for a cuppa and maybe cake or biscuit and a chill out after a very busy but productive day.
Happy bunny today everything is coming together now managed to get together all the money for the new walker, and went to mobility shop to order it, so ordered and paid for and due to be delivered to me either on Monday or Tuesday next week. :P then had a successful afternoon stitching all the small squares together for my baby blanket now have just three straight seams to assembled the blocks of 4 together crochet the border which will not take long. then one more cardi to sew up and all is finished hope to have them all done by Monday evening. am so pleased with my efforts today and am feeling very proud of myself. take care everyone will pop in again soon. Sorry I'm not replying to you individually at the moment but I do appreciate all your comments thank you.Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Aiden, good to hear Pepe is much better now. Hope you can get some rest now. What a shame the outlet centre was no good. At least you know not to go there again. I see Elfie is making a big mess. I'll try and get the scissors off her. Oh no. Your chairs wouldn't fit? I hope you can find some just as good.
Joan, I'm not sure exactly what to do with my new qualifications. I want to teach people how to de-stress and how to lose weight sensibly. Not sure how to go about it yet though and have some more studying to do. Hope you and Sue are as well as you can be.
Toni, I've got a few courses lined up - Life Coaching next, I think then Meditation and another nutrition course. How awful starting drinking so early and not being able to build the kids' toys for them. I was going to take the castle apart again but it won't budge so need a big box now. Best to get Lucy's other hip checked. It probably is because she'll be walking awkwardly. Circat training. I love it but it sounds as if Diddycat doesn't. Lucy has a rash and a sore throat. Hope they clear up quickly. :sick-in-bed: I'd love your fire. I've got a big hole where my fire was. I had it taken out when I got a new boiler. It was a huge, ugly gas fire. I want an open fire now.
Barbara, glad you are enjoying your new laptop. I still have my old desktop in the loft as a back-up but doubt I'd use it again. Oh curtains. You've just reminded me. I was supposed to take the nets down in the porch to wash them. Oh and just remembered, the cushion covers and fleece covers need doing. :? :autumn-sun:
Kath, that chair looks very handy. And the one cup will make things so much easier for you. Hope you continue to feel better.
Mig, that's an easy mistake to make. At least your new ones were a good bargain.
Carol, that's great you've got your walker arriving soon. bet you can't wait. You should feel proud. You've been so busy with all that knitting. It'll all look so lovely. No need to reply to each of us. Just a bit of news of what you've been doing or how you are is enough.
Today, I managed to put all my summer clothes in the loft and have got the Xmas decorations down. I really need to downsize the amount of decorations I have so I don't need to go in the loft any more. It's getting harder to do. I could leave them in one of the spare rooms but I need them for when my daughter comes to stay. I'll think of something. :snowplow:Christine0 -
Well, what a day
I will come back to that.
Hoping that everyone is as ok as can be, slightly warmer today, all the frost had gone, which was good.
You really are keeping things spotless in here Toni, we all know what Sir L is like, but Duffy can stand her ground, after all those years in Casualty.
I will get to the chair saga, honest. Then to the Pepe saga.
Afraid Pepe is still off sick, so circuit training is off for a little while. Miss Slimkins can administer feline T and sympathy though, which I am sure he would not mind.
I will give his tummy a gentle rub, for sure.
I hope the results are, as you say, showing that Lucy's other hip has been guarding the other one and therefore causing pain, it sounds likely, but, nurses cannot diagnose, t'is forbidden - Even though we all do it, lol.
We will indeed be under the cloak for the 16th and Joans appointment. I will bring scones, but, once you are in, they all vanish, it could get crumby.
Hi Joan, read on and our day will unfold, with chairs and Pepe.
I wish we had patio doors Barbara, then all would have been fine with the chairs. Very disappointing all round.
The LS ward will be just fine, sound proofed, so you can go in a private room if you need to shout loudly.
So glad that the laptop is to your liking, I imagine they are chicklet keys, as they call them, quite flat and not like the od clunky ones that we all had, in days gone by. My first PC, the monitor was enormous, my siamese used to sit on top of it to absorb the heat and he had room to spread out. How times have moved on.
We threw our other curtains in the recycle bin and bought some new ones. They were too heavy to wash and we didn't really like them any more. These are light, pale green tartan, easy care, washable. I like to steam them sometimes, just to freshen them up.
Oh Dear, I see Lucy is in one of the beds, hoping that she feels better very soon, honey and lemon is a good choice. Lots of vitamin c too, the fizzy orange ones are nice. We take them by the bucket load.
I like your perching stool Kath, I have one that we found in a charity shop of all places, in the kitchen, it is a real boon, could not be without it. Hope it helps you.
The one cup boiling waters are really good. I must admit I am always worried with the kettle, I like to do my bit, but I have to be careful, with my penchant for throwing things around the room.
Oh dear Mig, I think we have all done things like that with the washing machines. I ruined mum's damart vests a long time ago, me thinking, oh, cotton, fine for a hot wash - er, no, they came out small enough for a Cindy doll. mother was not amused. Ooops.
£4 is a real bargain, well done you, we like bargains.
It sounds as if things are going ok Carol, all the knitting nearly sorted, walker ordered and paid for, excellent, it will be great, love getting deliveries of things. (apart from chairs that won't fit through).
I bet you are feeling proud, I would be too. Go Carol
We will be giving the outlet center a miss for a long time Christine, nothing worse than being cold through and through, then my bum not fitting in a wheelchair, was just the last straw :?
You have done so well with your course work and I am sure you will be able to put your work to good use. Helping people de stress is a major part of life these days. We will have to think of ways that you can help others.........
The new courses sound very interesting too. I was hopeless at meditation, could not de stress, despite over a year of seeing a psychologist (we are going back a long time now). They did give me a label, I forget what I was diagnosed as, something neurosis with OCD.........bless.
just go steady, off into the loft  we don't want any accidents. Deff downsize, then you won't have to go up there. Promise to take care, balancing those baubles.
Right, today.
Pepe was ok, until early hours of Wed morning, started with the runs, so I was awake from 0500 onwards. (he has had a dicky tummy since he was born, so we are used to this). He settled by morning, had some of his Px diet for breakfast and we went out to the G center to sort out about the chair saga.
Had coffee, bacon muffin, scone, all very nice. Wandered through and saw the man who had been out with the chairs. I tried just about everything in the showroom, to the point where I could not get up nor down. Nothing was right. "Try this" a german made stressless electric all singing all dancing £3000 chair. I nearly fell over when I saw the price. Nope, it was not right, trying to get out and it spins round, so I am not paying a fortune, to spin round in circles.
Into the outdoor section. Finally, we found some conservatory chairs, the right height, comfy, sorted. We said they are fine, we will have them and take the rest as a refund. "oh, we only do credit notes" "not with over £500 of our money you don't" anyway, big do's and little do's, it was sorted, credited back the difference, chairs coming asap and he will take away the old armchairs for us.
Home, Pepe had had little accidents, so rings vets, time for some antibiotics. Oh come down now (seeing as they know us like part of the family lol). Pepe not happy, Mr hissing Sid, spitting like a cobra. Examined, we will go onto his usual antibiotics and some anti inflams, to settle things down, I will give him a steroid shot, just to start the ball rolling.
Pepe has a fit and bites clean into my thumb, punctured through. I forced it to bleed as much as possible, knowing that cat bites are not good.
Vet said, I will get a blanket to wrap him in. Blanket round pus cat, ready for injection. Then he bit my arm, but I had my coat on and thought nothing of it, just a nip. He had his jab, then he was left under the blanket for a minute or two while I scrubbed down my hand.
Vet said, you MUST go to the Dr and get some antibiotics, I have had two colleagues who had cat bites and didn't start any treatments, one lost their thumb and the other lost a kidney !!!!!!!!!!!!
Right, Drs, now. Paid £70 for being bitten to bits, lol and off we went.
Into Drs, receptionist said, oh, we only give tetanus for bites. "No, I have several medical conditions, I need antibiotics as well as tetanus. Thank you". Take a seat, Dr saw me quite quickly. Antibiotic double whammy prescribed. Off you pop to the treatment room for the tetanus jab.
Stood there, thought, my arm feels tight, pulled up my coat sleeve, huge bite to my arm, that I though had been a nip. Blood all dried up.............a right mess.
Treatment room was packed. Then I spied sister, who I know well, we often share our thoughts on health care. she said what are you doing here. Told her, and said, would you, could you..........stay there she said, I'll get the tetanus jab and do it, save you hanging around. Bless her heart and then some more.
Home, finally. Bitten, jabbed, dosed up with more medicines and pepe resting as if butter would not melt, he took his pills with minimum fuss, glad they are only once a day.......................................
On that note, my sore hand and arm will not write any more. So, I will love you and leave you. Everyone take care. XXXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Hi Joan, Hi Barbara and hi to everyone else too.
Little wounded soldier is not so bad, pus cat and I are taking our antibiotics well  Bruised and scarred, but otherwise I will be ok.
Pepe is resting and recuperating nicely, as are we all. lol. After spitting hell fire and venom, he is fine with his tablets, well, fine, as far as pus cats are with pills, you kind of get one shot _ I am sure Toni will know with Diddicat.
So far, today has been better, thank you. We went to G Center with Mum and Dad, Coffee, but NO SCONES - faints..................I know, I have never been so affronted. I had to force myself to eat a chocolate muffin, took some doing
Man is finally coming tomorrow to shower board the big walk in shower and electrical man is coming to convert some single sockets to double ones, seeing as we have so much "stuff" that needs power
I will write more later, pills, feed cats, make T, eat biscuits, then nap, I think that's the right order.
Love to All XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening All!
Late on today tried to post this morning, but ran out of time to get Lucy to the hairdresser. She now has LONG hair again
Even if she has a cold as well!
I can't show you as she can't put make-up on due to nasty rash she has. Got to queue up at docs 8am tomorrow for meds for it. I think its perioral dermatitis. At least it looks very much like it. Doc said if the antibiotic cream didn't help and actually it's still worsening
Daisy reported the incident with the vets and Pepe Aidan. The humiliation she said!! The indignity of it all!! He said he was not a cat sausage!!! Apparently the bite was meant for the vet not you of course.
I do hope YOUR antibiotics will do the job and all will be well. Sometimes - like with tetanus jabs being a nurse does have it's perks
Take care of each other now.
Please give him another oh so gentle tummy rub if you can and a ((())) for you and OH as I can imagine how worrying it all is.
I am glad you have sorted the chairs even better that you will soon be able to shower in comfort!
Christine Let Elfie get on with her beard snipping they all look stupid and are better off without them!!
Lucy says she can use her scissors a while longer
Al of your courses lead to you being an alternative therapist really...??
She will love to be able to play with her castle straight away The kid's Dad is a twit. He was supposed to visit on weds and his own Dad was rushed to hospital and guess who failed to turn up again  He has let my girls down over and over, but Lucy most of all. Luckily they have Paul, me Tia and each other.
The latest thing is a wood burner. When I burn wood there are few ashes I must say.
Decs down ready eh We shall wait until after Lucy's birthday. She's entitled to have her cards up too like the rest of us.
Oooh Carol! What colour will your new walker be? I bet you can't wait
No need to worry about replying individually we aren't offended at all just like to know each other is ok.
Well done for all you've achieved with your knitting
Hi Joan Lucy's cold isn't great, but she still got up early for her extensions I hope you are all well?
Barbara I am sure your parcel will arrive in time
Thank you Lucy has a cold, but her rash is worse so docs tomorrow am for us ::) Extensions done, but photo must wait until after rash is cured - sorry It's her birthday next week so hoping it's fixed by then
I hope your coffee and cake were yum
I am laughing at your GD being mistaken for Eastern European due to her Northern accent!!! I think you should be very very proud of her
Love to anyone I missed and sorry
Toni xxx0 -
A late evening to one and all - Hope everyone is doing as well as possible.
Hi Joan, Pepe does still love us and we love him too - despite the "incident" at the vets. He is better today, taking his medicines quite well, eating plenty and doing pus cat things like sleeping for hours.
Today was indeed, a better day. Hope you and Sue are ok and the doggies too.
I see you are keeping up with coffee and cakes Barbara, that's what we like. I am sure the parcel will arrive safely - always nice to get a parcel in the post.
We were pretty done in on Wed, I must admit, bites, fights, jabs, chair saga..........we all slept well at nap time and no surprise.
I am with Barbara on seeing all the lovely knitting that you have done Carol, you have been so busy.
Cleaning has gone to pop, I like it lol. Clean bathroom and cooker is fine, they are important areas. I cannot wait to get the big easy access shower done tomorrow. I am tired of lurching into the en suite one, it is raised up and the doors are not very wide, or are the doors ok and I have widened - one of the two. I am always frightened of falling when getting out, but OH is never far away.
I am sure you are very proud of your eldest GD, doing a caring job, that is wonderful. Sounds like the patients are very impressed with her care, wanting her to be full time carer is great. I would understand her, being in Yorkshire and Lancashire for so many years, lol. I had to laugh, the Gentleman thinking she was from foreign climes.
So Lucy has long hair again, well done Lucy, sending hugs for you to feel better very soon. Maybe some medicines to take, if the cream is not working. Antibiotics will help, but can take a while to have their full effect. I can share mine
I am sure Diddicat had a lot to tell - what a performance. Next time, the vet can have the biting end and I will give pepe the jab. His bites, were indeed meant for the Vet. As you say, the indignity of being turned into a fleece sausage, was not to his liking. We have only seen that vet once before and pepe seems to have an instant dislike of him. The other vets are more to his liking. I think they can tell when the person is confident and knows how to handle a feisty pus cat.
We are both continuing on our antibiotics, pepe has 6 days, plus sulfasalazine for three or so days and I have AB's for a week. The wounds are sore, but healing. I am keeping them well cleaned.
I will give him tummy rubs, he had some earlier and will no doubt have more at bed time. He has been busy kneading the blankets, so he seems quite content.
I see "twit" has been true to form by the sounds of it. Some folks eh. You are all surrounded by lots of love, I can tell, it is tangible.
Party, we like parties, we can have cake - music - imaginary dancing - more cake........
I did say we have had a better day, which is true, now that it has turned midnight, it is confirmed. Coffee with Mum n Dad at the G Center, then a wander round Sains----'s
We have to be up early doors, for the repair man to make our big shower all posh and water tight again. SO looking forward to it. Now I am repeating myself, I have told everyone umpteen times now  So I will shut up.
Caro, Elizabeth, Kath, Christine, Mig and everyone, hope you are all ok, everyone take lots of care. XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Hi Aidan
So much better news and yes I agree cats know who is scared of them as far as vets are concerned. My bro's old cat Badger (Daisy's Dad) used to be sausage rolled before going into the room!!
Sulfa should help his little tummy poor Pepe. Kneading is a very good sign I think
Daisycat is cross just now as it's dark and I won't let her out yet.
Getting ready for the walk-in at the docs with Lucy. I can't leave the house without at least 2 coffees!
As for the shower I would be repeating myself if I were you. As for the shower I would be repeating myself if I were you
Should have copied and pasted that!!
Glad Mum and Dad are coming out for coffee and cake today
Love

Toni, I think we take it as read, that if your name is on the page, there is also a lot of love, in both directions.
Gentle hugs to Lucy. xx

Evening to one and all. Before midnight, which makes a change.
I quite agree about the need for coffee Toni. I am back onto one or two normal at home, then one normal and one decaf when I am out. Seems to be ok at the moment.
I hope you managed to get some treatment from the walk in surgery and that you didn't have to wait too long. Sitting there with all the germs flying about, is never my favourite place. :? Hope Lucy is feeling not too bad.
I am sure diddicat forgave you for not letting her out in the dark, you do right, dark times are for indoors.
I knew I was repeating myself about the shower. It is all done HOORAH. Can be used from tomorrow, when all the sealant has cured - we smell like a fish and chip shop at the moment with the vinegar smell.
It looks very nice and I cannot wait to have a proper shower where I can move about. My shower stool has bitten the dust and is going to the tip.
The new sockets are all in place
The new chairs arrived and are lovely and comfy. Cats are fine, as the back cushions from the other chairs, fit perfectly into the new ones, so they can still have their fleeces on every item of furniture in the house !! Not that they are spoiled at all. Pepe says hi to Diddicat, I think circuit training will begin again on Monday. XX
That's us sorted for a little while I think, enough spending. Oh, apart from Christmas, I forgot that.
Hi Joan, yes, Pepe is just about back to his normal, pampered self. Eating well, taking his pills, in fact he is burning holes into my back, wanting more food.
hope you are all ok and managing to get out and about. The weather seems very settled at the moment.
Hi Barbara - The rescued cat and ending up in hospital sounds like quite a drama.
I am sure he still loves me really - it was definitely the vet who was meant to be bitten. Pepe's Mother, she took chunks out of the vet who was trying to get a small blood sample. She had to have a short aneasthetic to calm her down  Like Mother like Son.
It was a struggle with the chocolate muffin, but I did it, for Queen and Country. If they don't have scones on Monday, I will have to leave. :?
Oh, your neighbour sounds wonderful, cakes worthy of a major prize is fine by me. Pop some in the tin if you are passing by, thank you. Well, that is if there is anything left, after we have all popped in for a cuppa.
Thank you for the hugs and love to poorly pus cats and wounded owners. I hope you are as ok as can be, hugs and every well wish right back to you.
Hi to Carol, Mig, Christine, Elizabeth, and all who may pop in - Everyone take care, stay warm and safe. XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Hi to all - Toni, Elizabeth, Joan, Kath, Christine, Barbara, Mig, Carol
Thought I would steal a few moments, while the dryer is busy away.
Toni, I hope the Drs visit with Lucy, went ok, with suitable treatments. Leaving hugs, hot lemon and all possible cold remedies
Miss Slimkins ok? keeping to her strict diet and exercise regime, as is Pepe  As are we all, lol. He says having opened a large tin of Celebrations, I was fine when they were all sealed up, but now they are open, I am not responsible for my actions.
Elizabeth, I hope you are ok and managing to get some proper sleeps, I know it is a very difficult thing, I think a lot of our sleeping habits go out of the window with arthur, in all its forms. 7 to 8 hours a night, is an imaginary figure to me, not for the last 30 years, if not more.
Dad in law could sleep on a washing line, no sooner does he sit down than he has gone, same at night, out like a light. :? OH used to be the same, could sleep without a problem, then he met me  :?
Carol, I bet you have been busy finishing the garments and blankets off, all ready. No news yet? We are all pacing the floors.
Joan I hope you and Sue and the doggies have a good week end. It has gone colder this afternoon, fire on, tumble dryer and heating - no sneaky chills allowed.
Kath, I hope you are in less pain and as always I send hugs and well wishes
Christine, have you been out and about, with all the shoppers, starting to get in to panic mode. We are avoiding Saturdays in town now. We live near a small town, I could never think of living near a big city again. I am no good in crowds, gets me all worked up.
Mig, how are things with you and yours, any theatre trips or "events" in the run up to Christmas.
Barbara, hope you are ok. Have you got family coming over this week end? I trust you have managed to find a suitable cake establishment - I remember you said the G Center gets very busy. Same with ours, plus, Santa is having breakfast with the children for the next three Saturdays, so we will give it a wide berth.
Mum and Dad popped in this morning and we had croissants and coffee, which was nice. The newly restored shower is WONDERFUL, sorry, I was shouting. Oh, to have all that room again and be able to walk in, instead of throwing myself in. Just the water pressure was useless, typical. Anyway, it has been used none the less.
Chairs are nice and comfy, cats are just about used to them now. Pepe had a little accident early morning, but apart from that he is ok, improving nicely, eating us out of house and home. Everything is "working" as it should be.
Nurse Hattie is on this week end
Sir Lancelot is having some time off and Duffy needed a break after a very strict week. I think Nurse Gladys Emanuelle is on duty as well, so we are in capable hands.
It is heading to pill time, so I will go potter in the kitchen a while. Everyone take lots of care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
