I think I will have to buy something for Daniel after Christmas. He's got lego and sweets. He's difficult to buy for because he doesn't understand vouchers, money and clothes...I mean they are not presents to him. The best present I ever bought him was the Flip cameras which you could load straight onto a pc/youtube, which they no longer make. He has 2 and they still work.
I think I've done well for Jack, Lucy hasn't got as much as usual but she gets things all through the year anyway. OH has his usual Scooter gifts-I wouldn't dare buy anything as a surprise for his Scooters!
I'm glad some of you spotted the spelling mistake. I thought I'd leave it rather than edit it. Diddy cat will indeed love them! A new scratch post...can never have enough of them. Lucy has a samsung core prime and she loves it.
I wish I could have some of the trifles Aidan. I love trifle! Hope the water is back on. Think I'd miss tea more than anything if our water stopped. We have 3 cases of bottled water so that would last awhile.
We got a goose but it is gigantic. It will last at least 3 days and we have a turkey too  I wonder if goose stew is as nice as turkey stew?
Lucy isn't too well Toni but she has the new med and now the holiday is here we can start on it safe at home where I can keep an eye.
Yes I could have changed my name without any cost but wanted to make it 'official'. I'm still using my ex married name fgs and would love to get away from that. Two children have the same surname and 3 have my current partners name. He might marry me on my death bed but not before
Barbara are you still causing havoc? Any GD's coming to stay for Xmas? :winter-storm:
Carol won't be long until baby cuddles. Hope you and Mr Turbo are well.
I'm with you all with the soap/ hand gel.
I'm bored and tired already with Christmas...think I need a good drink or two to lighten me up. Its probably cos both girls aren't staying, I will miss them.
Applerose enjoy your visit to your Dad.
Wrap up well Kath.
Lucky Kerrin out in the sun and swimming.
Ooh missing out Joan..Merry Christmas Joan!

Hi Elizabeth Poor Lucy ((())) I am glad you can start her on her new meds safely with you. I really hope they work.
Diddicat would definitely enjoy the spelling mistake!!! was I the only one to spot it?
I get it with Dan. Having pressies of clothes will have no meaning whatsoever. I hope you can find something as great as the cameras for him after Christmas. The lego will mean a lot to him anyway.
You will miss the girls this year I am sorry - shall we have a glass or two??
Kath I hope the cats do love their pressies. Daisycat it ready for Santa-paws right enough
Barbara has been really naughty here and really scary. Daisycat came running in and screeching!!
We will be with you to give you a leg up onto the bus x:D
Gosh Aidan - no water now?!! and orange-handed too killing some off Kevin the Carrot's family too x
Yes packed out there, but mostly in supermarkets. £300 for one day? Maye 2?
x:shock:
Yes my phone will be an edge like yours in fact I think it was you who gave me the idea. My 5 has been in the pond already (landed mostly on a lily-pad), and also in the hand-basin with some water still in it. So if the 7 is better than that
Barbara what windows are you running? I am on 10 and not had an update or if I have I haven't noticed x:?
Imagine them giving this naughty storm your name?! Hardly likely to see you throwing your weight around!
I'm glad you haven't damaged my garden or your own - thanks
I can't imagine cutting a rabbits teeth of all things x:shock:
Carol I am so exited for you too!! Your new signature will be a bit like your 'old' old one won't it?
1st January 2017 then
How many days left to baby cuddling then?

Evening all
Well what a hectic day had dinner out today with Mr Turbo of course the topic of conversation was all about the deed poll forms. he then went off to set up church for Christmas day service while I did last minute shopping bits. got home he wasn't in so sat and wrapped up most of the pressies for Sunday whilst constanly being rung up all day by youngest daughter who by the way is 43 years old (not a baby ) x:roll: x:roll: keeping me updated about her plans as she is staying with us from tonight till the 27th. (not that I asked for constant updates). then Mr turbo comes back. while he was getting us something for our tea my laptop flashes up weird messages about being blocked well as you can see I seems to be working now so if I suddenly disappear for a few days over Christmas period that will be the reason. now whilst trying to sort the laptop out iv'e got Mr turbo wanting me to sign these blooming deed poll forms for Sunday so that our witness can add his signature.
Elizabeth don't thing i'd like to eat the spelling mistake think they might taste a bit furry he he.
now must stop rambling as daughter has now arrived.
wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. champagne bottleStay positive always👍xx0 -
Still a hectic life for you Carol!!
I am glad daughter has arrived so no more texting!!
Forms signed so no more Nagging (for Mr Turbo).
Don't worry about the PIES Daisycat has eaten the lot
Good morning to everyone else Christmas Eve is here How lovely looks very breezy and overcast not much chance of snow tomorrow

Now it is late, well, early. So Happy Christmas Eve. Hope everyone is ok, now that Barbara has been blowing the cobwebs from us all. Things seem to have calmed down, but I hear there is another storm for Christmas Day -
Hi Toni, yes, I think I gave you the thumbs up for the S7 Edge - SO nice. I am beta testing the new update from Google, called Nougat, which should roll out early next year.
So, you think a tuna raid is on the cards, well, with the fridge SO full to bursting, they could have a field day in there and I am sure the mayonnaise has gone down very quickly........
A new scratch post for miss slimkins, she will be even more svelt, bless her. Still a no fly, until further notice, they will have to skype each other when we are not looking
Yes, George is back, but, I think Hattie is an imposter. A lot smaller, in height and such. I am sure she said her name was Nellie Pickersgill. Now, if I am not mistaken, I think that would be Hilda Baker :? ( I loved Hilda ). So, we might have to keep an eye on the ward rounds and the medicine rounds. Oooh she knows you know.
No, as you will have read, my hands only lasted so long, before OH had to step in and assist with all the blanching and chilling, packing and freezing. Goodness, the kitchen was like a bomb site.
Carol you are busy wrapping presents, all the forms are ready to be signed on Sunday and your Daughter is keeping you very well informed lol. I hope you and yours have a blessed Christmas and that your computer does not have any Gremlins lurking. If in doubt, download Avast, from Cnet, then run a scan to make sure everything is safe and sound.
Hi Barbara, oh, cutting rabbits teeth, no, I would have gone squiffy at that. I never did like teeth, which is probably why I am loosing all mine.
Well, with all the intentions of mice and men, it is now, late afternoon on Christmas Eve.................time, why does it have to fly so fast.
So, I think I will just have to cut my losses and wish everyone a wonderful and Blessed Christmas - to all of you and your families, across the land and across the globe. I only wish for Peace on Earth and Good Will. Every happiness, see you all on Christmas Day

Just popping in to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow.
Went to T*sc* and S*insb*rys to get a red cabbage. Not a one to be found so had to buy ready cooked. Ended up spending another £23. Just watched my Australian GC opening their presents which was lovely. Got all my other GC presents ready to take tomorrow. Getting picked up at 11am.

Evening all
Aiden Gremlins are behaving if they are still around I ran a security scan on laptop and all came back as safe so all seems ok.
yes presents wrapped, forms signed and daughter is now sitting on the sofa with her head in her laptop too Mr T is sitting on the sofa watching the Tv and the dog is sitting between them.
Toady Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Barbara yes you right the older kids get the worse they get Glad you are going to get your name back too and I agree its better to wait till after Christmas. yes my friend said that on Thursday when I rang her her words were well I wouldent do it cant understand why any one would after all these years.
Joan the walker is great have had it for nearly 3 weeks now.
Toni Glad Daisycat enjoyed the PIES. x yes no more Phone calls cannot complain thought as she has helped me with lots of the food preparation for the next couple of days this afternoon.
Mr T was a real misery this morning as he didn't sleep very well last night says he got up to go to the loo 5 times ( mind you he dose exaggerate. ) and I wasn't particularly sympathetic and said welcome to my world ( I can get up at least twice sometimes 3 to do the same). after we had both been out he was in a better mood. Men arrrgh : x:roll:
Elizabeth yes 11 day to baby cuddles and we are both well thank you
Merry Pain free Christmas to you all
will pop into the café on boxing day as we have a ban on laptops in this house on Christmas day.
so till then take care santa santa champagne bottle champagne bottleStay positive always👍xx0 -
I thought I might just pop in, see if the ward was running ok with Hilda in charge  I cannot find her, but George and Nurse Gladys are keeping things spic and span.
A low key lunch sounds very nice Kerrin, a bit like ours, only us, mum n dad and Niece. Plus the three Amigo's of course. I am sure we have enough food to feed a small Regiment. You have a lovely Christmas, a dip in the pool perhaps.
Hi Barbara, it was nice to see Toady, people come and go from the cafe, I know I vanished for a long time. I wish for us all to be as pain free as possible too.
Yes, the water came back on, then while I was in the shower, the pressure went right down and I had to rinse in stone cold water. Boy was that "invigorating". I was hot after all the blanching performance, but after that I was frozen :frozen:
Anyway, it is back to normal ish pressure now, a warm shower today, which was far more preferable.
Our three puskins will no doubt be sniffing the chicken breast roast, on the breeze and will want to partake as soon as the table is set - Oh, something else to jump on
Have a lovely day.
A Merry Christmas to you as well Christine. No red cabbage, oh dear. Never really taken to it, Dad used to like the pickled one, which I thought was not nice. Always a big mistake to go in for one item, it never quite works out that way.
I bet it was lovely to see you GC from the antipodes open their presents and more to see tomorrow, have a wonderful day.
Carol, I am glad the Gremlins are gone away, always good to keep up to date with security scans, these people that have nothing better to do than hack, shame on them.
Everything sorted and nice to meet your Daughter, who is on another computer, lol. The dog is taking prime spot then on the sofa.
Daisycat has been eating all the pies, oh I will have to look back
I hope Mr T is in a better humour today. I am forever having disrupted sleep, despite taking tablets, the cats wake me up, well, I wake up when I hear them mooching about, then, come time to get up, I could happily stay there but more tablets are waiting  and I cannot take them later than 0930 ish. A lot are for cardiac problems, the rest for OA.
I like your idea of banning computers on Christmas Day, but I dare say I will have a browse and maybe write a little. Have a lovely day and we will see you on boxing Day.
I see the link now Toni, eating all the pies. lol. I am sure everyone will love their presents, including your good self. Many hugs and purs to Daisycat, from Pepe, Tosca and Cookie.
Hope you and the family have a lovely day, oh, sorry about Kevin the carrot, but, it had to be done :? I am no longer orange, you will be pleased to hear. It took some getting off though.
We, well OH did the sprout trimming and I did the blanching, so that is all the veg now frozen solid.
Next door came round with presents and we gave them theirs, then I neighbour bandaged her little toe which she had just broken ( I guess) from walking into a sofa leg. "Should I go to casualty" no, don't sit there for 5 hours and they will only do the same thing. Let Matron handle things
So I will check on that in the morning, it's always open, the clinic on our street.
Joan, you and Sue and the lovely doggies have a wonderful day, take care and hopefully the next storm, is it Nathan, will pass us by.
Kath, I think Barbara has blown herself onward to Norway now, and the next storm is en route. It is very blustery out there at the moment and it was pouring earlier.
I hope you and yours have a lovely day. We look forward to your bus journey - we can all come along
Mig, Elizabeth, hope you are as ok as possible and have a lovely day.
To one and all, at nearly midnight, a Very Happy Christmas.

I've been on a bus.
Hope everyone is having a great day. I'm recovering. At last, breakfast at our favourite burger stall, and we both had hair cut at the barber. Thanks for letting me know about Barbara blowing away. I'll stick to our own lovely Barbara thank you.
Our dinner today was Salmon fillet steak, mash and cauliflower cheese. Love to everyone and the Mods. xxx"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Carol, men do like to exaggerate, don't they? Must be only 10 days till baby cuddles now. My GC were using their phones this afternoon for a bit but not long and definitely not during dinner. Hope you've had a good day.
Aiden, no red cabbage so I bought ready made. It wasn't very nice at all so went in the bin. How fortunate the clinic was open today for your neighbour. Hope today was a good one.
Toni, the ready made cabbage was awful. Won't be buying that again. Hope you all had a lovely day.
Mig, merry Christmas to you too.
Chris mod, a very merry Christmas to you and the other mods.
Joan, merry Christmas to you and Sue. Hope you've had a lovely day.
Kath, you've been on a bus. Yaaay, well done. Hope you have had a lovely day.
We could hardly move for presents at my sons today. The little one was over the moon with her pony castle and kept coming over to cuddle me and say thank you. The eldest showed me the outfit I bought for her (she picked it with mum but I didn't see it till today). She looked amazing but we all agreed she needs to be kept hidden from boys. My GS was looking way too grown up too in his new clothes. Dinner was delicious and we were all stuffed.
Hope everyone who hasn't been in has had a wonderful day. santaChristine0 -
Christine this sounds most alarming!! Grandsons to grown up and GD's who need to be kept indoors hey look so lovely  How sweet that the wee one adored her Pony Castle so much too I think you had a great day - even without the red cabbage x:roll:
We had a great day thanks - everyone enjoyed their food. The posh brandy sauce went down very well and gifts in every direction.
Kath Christmas came! YOU caught a bus!!!
This year is definitely ending better
Salmon fillet sounds rather lovely and I am so pleased your hair is cut too. Looking GOOD Mrs x:D
Joan I hope you had a great day - did the doggies have a stocking? Daisycat did - I will upload some photos later if I get 5 minutes
Merry Christmas to you too mig x:)
Merry Christmas to Chris-the-mod x:) Thank you for popping in.
Aidan I hope Mum and Dad had a good day with you? Did the cats enjoy their day too - hope Dad didn't fuss them too much?
Diddicat was well-impressed with the size of the bird "Mum caught" (me!!) apparently I must be a great hunter too x
She turned into a kitten for the day playing with the new toys Santa Paws left her!!
I hope Barbara had a great day too and of course Elizabeth and the kids.
Love to you all

Good morning, I know, me, here, in the morning, it must be Boxing Day.
I am reading that everyone has had a pleasant Christmas, with family and friends. That is good to know.
Joan, I hope you, Sue and the doggies had a lovely day, did you plan anything special for the Christmas?
And Kath has been on a bus
You have done more than me and I am very pleased for you. Hair cut and breakfast as well.
Salmon fillets sound delicious.
Hi Christine - men, exaggerating, nah, lol. Of course we do, well, I say we, but I don't mean the Royal We.
Eeew, the red cabbage sounded very unpleasant and the bin was more than likely the right place. We had to use some of the blanched carrots that we had done the days before. The fresh ones had started to freeze, as the fridge was so cold, trying to keep everything chilled.
I bet it was great to see the GC opening their presents, they do get so excited
Being full to bursting, well it would not be Christmas day without it lol
Toni, glad you had a lovely day and the "posh" brandy sauce sounds very nice indeed. Presents and vouchers were flitting about here too and there was very little food left over at the end. The pigs in blankets were SO yummy, (Mark's) OH was saying how nice they were - I said, they are all gone, all 12 of them and they were jumbo ones too. Compliments to the chef's. I had to rely on OH getting things in and out of the oven, so that I could fuss with things and shuffle them around. No way could I lift trays of scalding hot food out, it would have been half way up the wall.
Quite how we got it all in the oven, I do not know, but we did. Phew.
Mum n Dad enjoyed everything, as did our Niece. (who was very quiet, so not sure if something is wrong, or it is just the time of year, after loosing both parents within 5 weeks of each other, three years ago).
Mum tripped on their bottom step when they went home, a small graze only, thank goodness. One too many Asti's I think.
G dad was not too grumps, we kept him fed and watered and he loved his presents, so all was relatively ok with the world
The pus cats were all totally chilled out and hardly moved all day - they are not ones for too much company and keep a low profile.
Pepe was not even interested in the stuffed chicken breast roast, maybe because it has bacon over it.
You were bird catching then, I am sure Diddicat was very impressed - where was this bird, you don't mean the turkey ! :?
It is lovely when they go all kitten like and start having a mad half hour, or in the case of ours, a mad five minutes. They are all sunbathing at the moment, a much more pleasant day today.
Hi there Barbara - I am glad things went as well as could be and that the children enjoyed it. Sometimes things don't always go as you would like and at such times like Christmas and family occasions things are often felt a bit more keenly.
Your GD was all dressed up too, well, it seems to be the norm these days, youngsters grow up faster than their years if that makes sense. It is natural to worry, it is the same for our other Niece. 11 going on 20.
We did enjoy the day, thank you and naturally, matron's clinic is open all hours, a bit like Arkwrights' Corner Shop. A & E would have been more than crazy over this last week end.
I hope Kerrin, Mig, Elizabeth have had a good week end too, presents and festivities.
I think we all need to have a nice cup of T and scone, so I will put the kettle on.
A day of resting and relaxing a bit, says me, with the washer and dryer going, fussing about, dusting, pottering, with cloth in hand. Just normal things.
Right, matron is needed to sort out broken toes and apply bandages - forget that, neighbour is too upset over something. It never rains, lest it pours.
Love to all - Take lots of care. XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0
