Just popped in to catch up, and have some pet cuddling time. The babies are getting so big now.
District Nurse popped round thia morning. He gave did a fasting blood test and bone profile, then my MTX blood test and blood pressure check, 150/80 in spite of 2 different types of BP tablets. :?
Rheumy nurse is ringing me on Monday afternoon for an Osteoporosis consultation.
Hope all are as well as can be expected. :animal_busy:"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hello Barbara!! we had to nip into the shed for an hour even though we are still so tired. Only I am dizzy though :? and I am genuinely loosing words!!
Much discussion about vinyl records in there the beatles and etc...
Kath I am assured the babies won't ever grow up completely I hope not I love petting them and bottle-feeding
Bp is high :? al those bloods and osteoporosis check ups too ((())
Hi Kerrin How exiting the Oval and half the Englandcricket team!!
Glad to hear pusskins are well and the wedding plans are going ok
Joan it's horrible if I look down I go dizzy I think it's a type of vertigo I get, but the exhaustion is making me sillier than usual!! At least Lucy didn't have another seizure with the stress.
Aidan where you live reminds me of our village only the villagers and 4 farms so peaceful.
I would love couple of jam doughnuts. Can you eat one without licking your lips?? Lucy's question.
I want to see the red panda!! Is he a girl or a boy? That would help with name choices.
Has Diddicat been bragging about her hunting? With an often unguarded cat-flap there have been rabbits and birds galore :x
She is over at yours now - promised to be back by 9pm before dark.
Right off to bed tonight it might be as late as 9.30!!
Love

Aiden, you've just reminded me. My boiler is due for a service. Keep forgetting to phone up to book it. Glad your boiler passed. More houses? I know we'll always need more but why do we all of a sudden needs all these thousands of houses in each area? Hope you manage to get mum to eat a little more although it is good that she's getting out every day.
Joan, thank you. My feet seem ok now. Hope you and Sue are enjoying some good weather. Doughnut week. I'm not very keen on them but used to love the ones with custard in the middle.
Barbara, I didn't think of the weather upsetting my feet. It could be as it is getting warmer now. My feet are much better today thanks. I didn't read about the injection. I'll have to find out more about it. I've still got a record player and some records - LPs mostly from a lot of years ago. Haven't played them in a long time though.
Carol, how sweet of your GGD to give you the invitation. Yes, it is very important. How long is it till the christening?
Toni, I hope you have had plenty of rest now and you're feeling better again soon. So you had to rescue a live bird and Paul had to dispose of a dead rabbit. Don't think I could handle that. I don't think it's possible to eat a sugary doughnut without licking your lips.
Kerrin, you are very busy as usual. Wow, a promo with half the England cricket team. Hope your blood test results come back ok.
Kath, I see your blood pressure is still too high. Hope they can get it back to normal and that your other test results come back ok.
I've had a lovely day today. Spent most of it in the garden as it was a very warm day. Cut back my acer which was supposed to be a small one but is huge now. Did some weeding and clipped back some of the edges. During breaks from gardening, I did some more studying.
Can't remember if I told you but last week, someone set fire to the portaloo at the local allotments during the night. It is just a big lump of plastic now. A few days later, a lawnmower at the edge of the allotments was set on fire. This is right next to bungalows where elderly people live so they must be very scared now. Then the night before last, a settee, which had been left in a garden for the council to collect, was burned. The police were informed but said they cant do anything unless they are called at the time the fire is lit and they can get there in time to catch who is doing it. We are all worried in case someone gets hurt.Christine0 -
Evening to all - quite a warm day again, I thought you might be getting a wee bit hot Barbara. You and I need to move to Iceland.
Hi Toni, good to see you, although you are still not yourself by any means. I wonder if you have a touch of menniers, with your head being so dizzy and that awful feeling of vertigo. Might be worth a mention to the GP and have some stemetil to hand. Sorry, Matron will shut up now, :? :? You certainly need to rest, of that I am certain. I know, says me, who does way more than I should.
No, Miss Slimkins didn't mention the prey that she had acquired and deposited through the house. Little minx she is, lol. If she did, then Pepe didn't say anything.
Yes, of course, he is still on provisional insurance, hence the speed restriction. There was a trip out this evening while we were napping, I think they went down to the river, to chase the swifts and ducks.
Pepe did look through the broomstick code, but seemed to glaze over  so not sure what actually went in.
Your village sounds very similar, we are blessed. You did well going to the shed for an hour, especially feeling like you do.
No Lucy, I cannot eat a doughnut without licking my lips, in fact I lick my lips thinking about them
He is a boy panda, the vet popped in to check on all the babies and he had a peek and confirmed that he is a he :? So, that narrows the name list down to about a million, lol. He is a real cutie and loving the bamboo that Barbara has in her garden. We might need to grow some more though, he gets through some tender leaves in a day.
Rest well and take care, all. XX
Hi Joan, yes, we were pleased that the boiler passed it service, he said it was coming up as triple A rating, which they have never said before. That's fine by us Has yours been sorted now, or is the association still messing you about.
Hi Kerrin good to see you. You have been busy away with wedding planning, school, promo with the England Cricket Team, way to go Enjoy the visit to the Oval
Sorry the joints are not behaving, we can sympathise totally with how you feel.
I often find that the warmer weather makes mine feel a lot worse, for some reason.
Good to hear the puskins are all ok and being clingy, as puskins are, Bless them.
Hi Kath, you enjoy petting the babies, I think they are about as big as they are going to get now, being so well fed and fussed over. They seem to get on well with the Red Panda, he is totally chilled out.
Hope the bloods are ok, or at least within their markers. Your BP would not have been particularly high when I was nursing, we were taught 100 plus your age, over about 80 - 90. I know they change the baseline measurements a lot and have lowered them over the years. Just as they do with Cholesterol levels, anything around 5-6 was ok, now they want it to be around 4 or lower.
Hope all is ok with the nurse ringing on Monday. Have you been out and about in the sunshine?
Hi Barbara, I think you need to move into a park home, they are usually away from noise and traffic, to give the residents a peaceful time
Yes, we went over and delivered the buggy, a lovely couple, he was quite poorly and was thrilled with it, to be able to get out and about when they go off for days out or on holidays. He had a pootle around on it, up and down their cul de sac. Glad it has gone to a lovely home.
We had to have brunch after that. Which was very nice, as always. Not at the GC this time. We are there this morning, for coffee and scones.
No, it is always difficult, with dietry intake when someone has a serious diagnosis. Striking a balance is a work in progress. Food is often the last thing on a person's mind. Bit we will keep on carrying on and encouraging. That is all we can do. The district Nurses are keeping an eye too, which is good, as is the GP. Everyone has been a credit to the NHS.
The custard doughnuts are wonderful, just make sure you know where the hole is, where they put the filling in, otherwise it all ends up in a BIG mess
Nothing wrong with having a record player, the sound is totally different to mp3 players. Dad loved his record deck. I used to have one in my bedroom when I was a wee bit younger, as in the 70 and 80's. I think it was an AIWA - very up market lol.
Hi Christine good that I reminded you to book the service for your boiler - do you have the same as us, with British Gas, the service plan. We have the electrics and the plumbing insured with them too.
Not quite sure about the houses that are springing up left, right and center. I think it was a Govt initiative to build so many, so called easy to purchase for first time buyers. Well, most of the ones near hear, are huge, four bed detached, not quite the average first time buyer market.
Glad to hear you feet are feeling better. Oh, a custard doughnut friend they are yummy. A long time since I had one though.
Sounds like you had a very pleasant day in the garden, one of our Acers was damaged with the sudden frosts the other week, it has rallied though, despite the damaged leaves.
Studying in between gardening, is this the a new course, I remember you said you were not too happy with the last exam.
So there is an arsonist or two around and about, how worrying for everyone. The idiots that do such things care nothing as to the potential dangers and risk to others. Fires can soon get out of hand. I hope they catch the culprits. I do not envy the pressure that the Police force is under.
Well, I had better post, I have been up, down, pottering, back to the computer, up, down...........now it is way past midnight.
Hi to everyone else who is not around at the moment.
Take lots of care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Morning. Still feeling a bit tender. Totally crashed when I got home last night. Some days the fatigue is so bad.
Those fires do sound worrying. Hope whoever is setting them is caught soon.
Looking forward to the warmer weather but not if it makes my joints worse. Seeing the Rheumy in a few weeks. Really don't think the MTX is working at all.
Custard doughnuts yummy!
Time to go to work. Body doesn't want to.

Hello Kerrin Kathleen Barbara Aidan Toni Christine and anyone else I missed.
Kerrin good luck with it all that's a lot to do.
Kathleen they are looking after you good.
Barbara yes the Beatles were good I like westlife.
Aidan he fixed a new part and my rad now its cold again and the passage we only have the heating on at night.
Toni that must feel horrible I hope it soon goes.
Christine I hope your boiler passes the test.
have a good day everyone
take care
Joan xxtake care
joan xx0 -
Ah little owl and mouse together sleeping Thanks Aidan
Christine Lucy reckons she can eat a doughnut without licking her lips - might have to test her on that
That's dreadful the police not helping!! It's probably just kids, but we need the police to intervene in-case they get a liking for it and end up moving on to worse stuff :x
Aidan - stematil!! I have some in the cupboard from the last bout of vertigo!! Better check they are in date and whether I can take them with the latest addition to my meds, but good thinking!!!
I think they did have a spin out on their broomsticks yesterday and Diddicat said that Pepe isn't really reading up on his broomstick code properly, but on that part seems to be a natural so might get away with that.
I wonder whether Pepe is keeping quiet about the prey? He might think you'd worry about him joining in??
I couldn't eat a doughnut without licking my lips surely it's instinct?? :?
A boy Panda ok....we'd better start thinking of names...I expect we could half-inch some fresh bamboo from the GCs???
I have planted some at the back near the petting area, but it will take time to grow.
We do still give him a bottle though??? ???
I'm so glad the old boy loves his new buggy His life will improve enormously with it
Hello to Joan it's horrible, but it's happened before and is a bit better today Hope all is well with you and Sue and you enjoy your walk with the dogs.
See you all later.
Hospice ladies luncheon today
Love
Toni xxx
Ps Kerrin - I hope you feel a bit better soon. It can take time to get the right medication does and combination ((()))0 -
A very sunny afternoon to all :sun: just coping with the warmth at the moment.
Hi Kerrin, hope you feel a bit better today, fatigue is just rotten, it totally drains you and can happen in a flash. I hope you get on ok at work and you are not asked to do too much.
There are other things that can be tried, apart from Mtx. Sometimes it is a trial to get things working as best they can.
Hi Joan, so your heating has been fixed, but two areas are cold :? Your poor heating saga is ever present, one day, when they decide that a new boiler would have cost half of what they are paying in repairs, will solve the problem.
I hope you manage to get out and about in the sunshine.
So Lucy can eat a doughnut without licking her lips, we will have to put that to the test. Miss Sleek will tell Pepe if there was so much as a teeny little lick
I hope the stemetil is in date toni, it works pretty well for menniers and vertigo, as I am sure you know. Fortunate that you have some to hand. It won't harm if it is just out of date, it just means that the drug might be less effective, they don't suddenly become poisonous.
I am glad Pepe is doing well on his broomstick theory. I doubt he could catch a cold, let alone a bird / mole / vole or any other small creature, he is such a wuss, bless. The last mouse to run past him in France, sent him vertical into the air. Oh, great mouser, not.
Oh yes, Red Panda can have bottles too, he just likes fruit and insects and some tender bamboo alongside.
I will pinch some from the GC next time lol. If we all sneak some, there will be plenty for him to munch on.
We were glad my buggy went to a good home and will be put to great use, which is nice. It was too short in the leg for me now, as I cannot sit with my feet up close, I have to have my feet stretched out if I am sat.
Hope the luncheon went well
We all went to the GC this morning for coffee and scones, this time with cream and jam why not eh.
I am off to see Sister at the Surgery tomorrow lunchtime, just to update her on my hypo episodes. We usually end up talking shop and putting the NHS to rights. I will get my blood results too, I assume they are ok, or they would have phoned. I could ring, but I will wait until tomorrow.
Better go and sort out my pills, it is that time of day again. Washing finished, drying to do, might start to glow soon, with the dryer going. The windows are open though, with the mesh in.
Catch everyone later, take lots of care. XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Afternoon all..warm it is...
Got this on but off to pack for Iceland with Aiden..think I would melt the ice..something to cool us down..
Aiden glad your scooter has gone to a good home..bless him bet hes now out and about..so I must watch out for the custard in the doughnut..I always make a mess.. but can just imagine the custard squirting everywhere.. nice to have a chat with the sister.. hope the results are ok...and yes I need a park home..OH says he doesn't mind the only prob is the youngest GD..they call in a few times a week..I suppose there will always be obstacles...
Christine so you have a record player ..this is one I bought a couple of year ago..but already had some records..how awful that people are starting fires..do you know it use to be life for arson...it can always pout lives at risk..its so scary..glad you had a nice day in the garden..and good to hear your feet are a little better....
Joan I remember you saying you liked westlife and think you got to see them in concert..they were very good and still I love there music..
Toni its horrible feeling like you do ...nice to get to the shed and relax it will do you both good..so Lucy can eat a doughnut without licking her lips..not easy...but I will give it a go ..might just keep practicing.. is she still trying to get back into hairdressing..I hope she enjoys whatever she does..
Kerrin hope you can get some rest this weekend you have been so busy..the warm weather doesn't effect everyone ...but it does me...
We have just had a not very nice neighbour move..there is a right of way along his house and he moved in 5 years ago and blocked it off..so the council opened it and put up a sign..it didnt go down well with him..and he was stopping people and coming out with all sorts to them. .his house sold a few weeks ago and yesterday he was gone...
Right I am off for a cuppa..
Love to everyone xxxxxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Evening to all, a warm one too.
thank you Barbara, for the ice, it is most welcome. We can get a flight to Iceland and stay for the summer, then when it all gets too cold, we can come back here for the winter. Sorted.
I seem to be getting worse with any form of warm weather. Joints go from bad to worse and the pain in my legs is horrid. But, we shall carry on. Melting.
I had a message from the couple who bought my buggy, they are made up with it and they took it to the big park not far from them and he had a wonderful time, being able to enjoy pootling around in the sunshine. They are on our Christmas card list, such a lovely couple. She said they would keep in touch, which is great.
Yes, beware of custard doughnuts, lol, they are a bit like vol au vents, when they were fashionable, with the filling being scalding hot and flying out when you bit into them.
Well, a park home it is then, yes, there are always obstacles, you are quite right, life throws them at us regularly
We would move if we won a lot of money, otherwise, we are staying put, it suits us to a T and more besides.
just had a potter, it is lovely out, nice breeze. I digress.
Sounds like the grumpy neighbour moving on, is a blessing. You cannot block a public right of way, footpath, etc, I think there is one that runs through our park at some point.
Kerrin, I hope you are feeling less fatigued and manage to get some batteries recharged at the week end. You will have had a busy week, on top of not feeling up to par.
Toni, I hope you are feeling a bit better, did you start with the stemetil? They were used a long time ago to treat psychosis  but, if they work for vertigo, that's fine in my book.
It is often the case that drugs used to treat one thing, often help with other problems, like the anti epilpesy drugs, Pregabalin and Gabapentin which help with neuropathic pains.
I think Pepe and Miss Sleek have been nattering about his food pouches, there must have been an agreement to try the ones with a certain batch number, the ones that had been poisoned by the vet He has eaten two already today. Knock me down with a feather.
There was a broomstick lesson this morning while we were out at the GC. Chasing crows and pigeons he said. I don't think he was as keen as a certain Miss Slimkins, who was determined to catch as many as possible in her net.
Carol I hope you are ok, Christine, Mig, Elizabeth, Charrisse and all.
Names, we will have to think of names, we have Yack, Marigold, Cuddles, but none of the babies have names, they don't seem to mind, as long as they are fed and petted and happy in their pens. They have a big run at the back, which is fenced, they like a chase through the grass.
Right, I am set solid, it is going to be an achy night, I can tell. Tramadol will be needed prior to bed.
N Night all Take care XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Aw Aidan look at him!!
Adorable.
Blush, Flame, Rusty??? The red sounding names for boys?? I will plant a patch of bamboo too plenty of room here
The babies seem happy enough with their collective names 'the babies'
Miss Slimkins' net is huge isn't it? She'd be great at quidditch wouldn't she? I know Pepe isn't keen as yet he think's he'll fall of sideways apparently. Not that meeces make him leap in the air!!
Yes they've 'been through' your supplies of pouches and would like you to take some to charity for the 'homeless cats'.
I am never moving either NEVER!!
The wooziness has eased - maybe my ears on the plane I think. It was painful at the time, but I was sick at the airport before take-off :? Didn't need the stemetil, but will check with my pharmacist whether it is ok with my other tablets for future reference.
The luncheon was fabulous I will tell you who the speaker was when I remember.....auctioneer from the road trip.... :? :? :?
Barbara how far away would your park home be? I can say for sure I would have wanted my parents comfortable over proximity to me any day. So long as it's within about an hour incase it's an emergency of course.
I intend to video Lucy eating a doughnut I don't believe it's possible :?
Hoorah to seeing the back of the not so nice neighbour!!!
I am totally confused about your heating Joan and think they are so stupid they could have replaced it twice for what it's cost them!! Housing associations!!
Kerrin I hope you are feeling a wee bit better sending ((())).
No Kath yesterday or Christine? No Carol Elizabeth or Charisse??
Hope some of you were enjoying that nice day0 -
Hello Toni Aidan Barbara and anyone else I missed

Morning all ..raining here..now I'm not happy no pleasing me with the weather.... suppose the garden needs it..
Aiden how lovely of the people to get in touch about the scooter..and nice to know he is enjoying it..and he had the weather..you are welcome to the ice..nice and cool today but do we have to have wet...
I don't think there are any park homes nearby ..so not sure what we will end up doing..if we give all the babies name I will never remember them anyway.. just show them the bottle and they run over...it takes me back to working on the farm on our rd ..I was about 13 and was in charge of feeding the calf's..bliss it was.. sorry your joints are so much worse with the hot weather..strange thing is it was hot when we went to Spain..and they felt so much better suppose its the humidity here..I shall make you up some lavender pats..
Toni glad you are feeling a little better ..hopefully has the days go on it will improve more..just said to Aiden there are no park homes nearby..after working long hours don't think he would like to drive far...so I have my thinking cap on..now I love Blush... must say the evening sounded good..
Joan my sinuses are not much different thankyou for asking ..I chickened out of the last appointment and have one at the end of this month..I will go and see what they say..how is you foot doing do you still have pain form the op..
We are still ..say we OH is carrying on with jobs in the house then if we do decide to move its decent...a bungalow with a sea view next to the docs..and shops with no traffic...oh and a small holding with animals and someone to help with them...
Love to all..xxxxxxLove

Have we named the gorgeous Red Panda yet? Is it a girl or a boy? I quite fancy Cherry for a girl or Rufus for a boy.
I don't know any of the others names anyway. Do we have any baby Sloths? They are so cute and smiley. What do ya think?

A bucket of sloths Kath!! yes please I love them
We will have to put the names in a hat The Panda is a boy
I rather like your idea of where to live Barbara!! Hehe!! You could get a bungalow near Cris and let her look after the animals - she's quite close to the sea? Shame there are no Park homes nearby
Good idea keeping Oh on top of jobs in the house.
I love the way the babies come running too
I have an ENT apt in June....I am scared
Joan Lucy loved her holiday and looks healthier for it. Her scar on her shoulder is far less red looking. How is your foot doing?0 -
Evening all
Don't know if this is going to work tonight have tried posting the last 2 evenings and it all kept dissapearing each time I sent it.
Kathleen the baby sloths look sweet I agree and as if they would like to be petted.
Toni glad you are feeling a lot better, and hope you all enjoyed your holidays good to have you back home.
Aiden yes I am fine just had trouble with computer not sending on here. I think I would be the other way around as my joints get worse in the cold weather. so Iceland is not for me. I have brought the red panda some fruit in today and he loves it. We too have our gas contract with British gas and also electrical cover and plumbing and drainage and kitchen appliance cover. my boiler too needs to be booked for a service.
Christine it not important its very very important he he GGD was so funny she was so serious with the very very important bit.
Barbara yes we had to have our beloved dog put to sleep at the end of February and we both miss having a pet around the house so when our holidays are all over I'm September we are looking to going to the local rescue centre a short train or bus ride away from where we live to see if we can find a cat. yep heard Mr T at that one too only he then comes in and moans to me about it and when I try to help as you say we know the rest. hope you enjoyed lunch and we too have a few vinyl records still.
we are having nice pleasant weather at the moment for how long is any ones guess. had my usual dinner out with Mr T today and then on to Costas for my coffee an knitting with my friend then to get some fruit to last us over the weekend at least usually get it on a Saturday be we are off to visit mr t's elder brother in Dunstable who is in a care home because he has altzimers . so that will be another busy day.
well must move and have a little potter after that long post hope it posts properly this time.
will pop in again soon Laptop permitting of course
take care allStay positive always👍xx0 -
Evening to all, hope everyone is as ok as can be.
Karma on the people that have virtually shut down the NHS, with the ransom ware attack. Shame on them, they have affected systems worldwide. Make sure your PC has all the latest updates.
The GP surgery went down while we were there picking up my prescriptions.
Thankfully it has been a bit cooler today, with some much needed rain - our poor rivers and streams are drying up to nothing more than a trickle.
Oh Toni, there are so many wonderful pictures of red panda's, they seem such happy little souls. I like Rusty as a name, that's a definite contender. Blush is up there too.
Yes, the babies do like being called babies and will come running whenever there is a feed or a fuss going on.
Miss Sleek could give Harry Potter a run for his money, when it comes to gathering wildlife  Pepe is a bit of a wuss when it comes to small animals. I thought they had been sorting through the pouches and yes, that's a good idea, I will take some to the animal shelter food bank
So you are not moving, ever, not that I blame you, the village sounds lovely and your house is too. We didn't win a dime on the Euro lottery (nothing new there), so the next jackpot is an eye watering 81 million ££
Glad you are feeling a bit better and have not needed the Stemetil. You were not too good at the airport, was that on the way back? The pressure in the cabin always used to send me completely deaf, sometimes for days. That, along with all the recycled bugs in the air.
There are so many great auctioneers from the Road Trip, was it Anita Manning? Phillip Serrel, now I have got brain block and cannot think of others. Mark Stacey......
Will await the video of Lucy eating THE most sugar coated doughnut we can find. Not even a peek of a tongue. glad to hear she enjoyed the holiday and has a nice tan, with a fading scar, good news
Pepe said they skyped today, he was feeling a bit broomsick, trying to keep up with Miss slimkins yesterday, off with her net and into the woods. Warrior Princess mode.
Hi Joan, does that mean that your heating is now sorted, if your rad comes on, I assume that is good, or is the rest of the house like a sauna :? The Association should be ashamed, like Toni said, the money it must have cost them............stupidity on their part.
Hope you and Sue and the lovely doggies are all ok. How is your foot doing, less painful, more weight bearing?
Hi Barbara, no, no complaining about the cooler weather, you know what we were like yesterday, both having our glowing "moments".
Glad you feel cooler too, it has been far more pleasant.
I bet you had great fun helping by feeding the calf, how wonderful. True, if all the babies had names, I would not know who was who at all.
I think the humidity does affect the joints, hence a lot of people move to Spain for the warm dry climate, with low humidity. My legs feel like two bags of sand at the moment  I will keep pottering and keep them moving.
Thank you for the lavender pats, good old Marigold, for keeping up with demand.
We will have to search for a park home for you There is one for sale on our park, there were a few, but they have all been snapped up. A lot of people are downsizing and seem to want to move into a park home for their retirement. I cannot blame them. A sea view, with the GP surgery down the road and a supermarket and GC. Lovely.
Hi Kath, hope you are doing ok and not hurting too much. Rufus is a good name for our boy panda. Names in a hat. We might have to ask an independent person to pick the name.
Oh we can have the baby sloth's, they are ADORABLE. We will sort out a pen with lots of tree branches to climb. Now, they are really chilled out and they smile all the time, oh bless. We are heading to us having a full sized Zoo out back.
Hi Carol, I wonder why your posts are not going through. I know I have lost some in the past. I sometimes save them to drafts, if I am going to get up for a potter, just in case they decide to vanish. Easy to do and retrieve and start writing again.
So you would be better on the Spain bus trip, while Barbara and I go north, way north. Did I mention a bus trip, where are we going, it must be time to head off somewhere soon. A picnic?
Hope you enjoyed your lunch out and then your Costa visit with friends, for a knitting session. People watching too I hope

I know Aidan I was so angry and shocked I hope they are able to catch the perpetrators of that cyber attack. Imagine holding the NHS in many countries to ransom  No need to pay up we'll all just have to tell the Drs what meds we are on if we can.
I think my updates are ok, but will check.
The chap was called Charles Hanson? Lovey chap got 2 little girls
I thought Diddicat was missing last night and was jus about to message you on here see if she was your way; only to discover she was hiding on the bed in the basement!!
She was skyping and said she will get him a helmet - not his usual one a warrior one and that he will get better in time not to worry
Note to self - purchase extra sugary jam doughnuts...
Love the sheep nightie night Cris would have too wouldn't she?
Carol so you got extra fruit, when you filled up your fruit bowls, for the Panda! lovely.

I'm so glad you love the sloths. They are both girlies, so no hanky panky in the zoo area. I quite like Cilla and Lily (after Cilla Black and Paul O'Grady's alter ego).
Haven't been to LE today, as our burger stall friends have gone to Benidorm. So we had fish and chips. The shop door was partly boarded up as someone broke in and stole the (empty) till at 4am!!
Also went to the PO to send Emily a parcel. She's having my old mobile, as she dropped hers and cracked the screen. Also popped in some stud earrings that I can't wear.
And what about the Cyber Attack!! Hope nobody has appointments pending. :?"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, sunny now, but a pleasant temperature happy days, Barbara and I won't melt.
It is terrible Toni, the ransomware attacks, in 96 countries, goodness, this must be costing businesses millions in lost revenue.
I hope they can find a way round it, am sure they will. Hospitals have been crippled by it. The last thing they need, idiots putting lives in danger.
Always keep your windows updates, up to date, I check them every day, just to be sure. I also back up all my data, I use the "click free" external storage, it is so easy, just plug it into a usb and it does everything for you. Backs up all files, photo's documents etc.........
Charles Hanson, oh yes, he is great, how lovely. Don't worry too much about ENT, we will all be there, you can rest assured of that. Better to know, than not know what is amiss. I know, I would be worried too.
Pepe had told Miss Sleek to go to play hide and seek, so he can take the blame for her vanishing act.
A warrior helmet, oh my, Pepe will be pleased. He will think he is a super hero now.
I am sure one of the crispy creme doughnuts are covered in huge lumps of sugar, might be worth a try, some of them are super sticky and gooey.
Cris would have loved the sheep, a long time since I hear of Cris, seems like years ago, probably is. I remember her dog went missing.
Hope you have fun at the farmers get together, sounds like fun, tug of war, is that over a brook, they used to be, was always fun to see one side all fall into the water.
Hi Joan Your heating sounds very complicated, surely you should be able to adjust the boiler and the thermostat.
Bet you cannot wait for the cast to come off on Tuesday, it will be a huge relief. Glad to hear that you are not in any pain, that is good news.
Take lots of care both and love to the doggies too
Hi Barbara Yes, no country seems to have been safe from the attack on the computer systems. Terrible.
Well, if you are going to have a park home then you want it in the right place for sure.
If we win the lotto, we can build our own park, how cool would that be, but as you say, we would have to kidnap Toni and the family.
Was it escape to the country that the park home was on, glad the buyers were smitten, cannot blame them
I never used to bother too much with the hot weather. I would be out all day in it. Spending a fair amount of time in the US, now that was hot, in Arizona, Death Valley, wow, the hottest place on earth and when did we go through, midday, yes, mad dogs and Englishmen. Thank goodness the car was nice and cool inside. You were not allowed into the park without two gallons of water in the trunk, just in case you broke down.
I am digressing. I used to love going on sunbeds too, I was very brown, but then stopped, when I realised just how bad it was.
Sloths are wonderful and I am sure they are very gentle creatures, they would certainly cling on, with those long claws.
Just off for a little potter, need to move a while.
That's better, for a little while.
Hi Kath, of course everyone loves the Sloths. Cilla and Lily are great names too. Perfect, I am sure others will agree.
Fish and chips, you cannot beat em, well, once in a while. Fancy smashing the door and running off with an empty till, what a futile venture, there are some bad people about.
I am sure Emily will be grateful of the phone and some new earrings.
We were just about sorted at the GP's on Friday, when all the systems went down. I had been to see Sister J, chatted and she noted my low blood sugar episodes, said all my bloods were excellent, they show that I am not diabetic, but, as soon as they reduce the Metformin, my BM goes way up. So I have to stay on it and monitor. Rest of the time we nattered and she tried to sort out a prescription that I had put in last week which had gone missing.................what no Tramadol, I need it. Anyway, big do's and little do's, they managed to sort it before the computers ceased to function.
After that, they had to tell people not to try and ring for appointments as they could not access anything.
Ok, I will have another potter. Sitting is not much of an option at present
Time for T I think and some little nibbles.
Everyone take lots of care, hi to all those not around. Leaving hugs XXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Aiden, my boiler is still under guarantee as long as I get it serviced each year. 10 years rings a bell but I’d better check as that sounds like a long time. They say they are building ‘affordable’ houses here but, when you think about it, every house is affordable for someone so most are big 4 or 5 bedrooms. It is good that someone who really needs it got your buggy. He’ll be so pleased being able to get out and about. When I first read online about the NHS computers, I thought it was a scam then I saw it on the news. Absolutely shocking. Someone being interviewed said they shouldn’t pay the ransom but use the backed up information. Problem is, it seems not all the information has been backed up. Hope they can sort it out quickly.
Kerrin, hope you are able to rest up over the weekend. I find the cold makes my joints worse but I get way too hot in summer. Can’t win. I think the MXT takes a while to work but maybe you need something else. Hope they get you sorted at your appointment.
Joan, so your heating still isn’t right even with yet another new part. At this rate, they’ll be replacing the new parts. Hope you and Sue are warm enough. Not long now till you get your plaster off. Your foot should be fully recovered now. Glad the pain has gone.
Toni, I have heard that some people can eat doughnuts without licking their lips but I don’t know any. Yes, I think Lucy needs to be tested. Hope you are better now and not feeling dizzy. It sounds as if you have found your perfect place to live and that is wonderful. Don’t worry about your ENT appointment. We will all be there with you.
Barbara, the record player I’ve got used to belong to my DIL’s grandad who died just before his 101st birthday. The other day, I was discussing what we do with things like that if we decide we don’t want them anymore but feel it’s our duty to keep them. I wonder why some people think they can get away with blocking the paths for others. Surely your neighbour must have known about it before he moved in. I like your idea of a bungalow with a sea view and a smallholding with help. I was the same, sunbathing every minute I could and with no sun screen. I’ve got 30 for now and 50 for more in to the summer or if the kids come round. I’ve heard sloths can be quite vicious but not ours. Ours are cute and sweet.
Kath, not sure I’d remember the babies’ names if they all got one. I agree we need some sloths. I do like them. Someone broke in to the fish and chip shop. Obviously hoping the owners had left the money. I don’t think any shops do now. Sometimes it’s not the money going missing; it’s the mess that’s made and the cost to repair it. I think Emily will love getting the parcel and its contents.
Carol, glad you managed to post at last. It’s bad enough losing one post, never mind two. Sounds like a couple of busy days with lunch out, Costas, knitting and visiting. My dad has Alzheimer’s. It can be hard going at times, can’t it?
Oh my goodness, everyone is stealing bamboo from the garden centres for the babies. Ok, I'll try and sneak some too. I'm glad to say, we haven't had any more fires. Hopefully, whoever it was has come to their senses. I'm getting seriously worried about my boss. He asked again if I wanted a cuppa. When I said I thought his mum was coming for me in a few minutes, he said it was ok, I could still stay and drink it. :? Don't know what was the matter with me this morning. Woke up half an hour earlier than usual and got up. Ended up cleaning the oven then went upstairs and gave the bath a good clean, even ended up with the bath panel off trying to clean the ridge that goes under the bath. I've had the washing machine on 3 times this afternoon, about 3 weeks' washing and it's out drying. I did think it would rain as the clouds were very dark but it's held off. I bought a mini hedge cutter/grass trimmer from Aldi yesterday. It's getting a bit much for my hands to keep clipping the edges and other bits and pieces with the manual shears. It's takes 4 hours of charging to get 30 minutes use out of them.
Hope you are all having a good weekend.Christine0 -
Evening to all - I didn't realise it was Eurovision, until I looked on Twitter. We were engrossed in the tennis from Madrid.
Hi Christine
Yes, check about your boiler. I know new ones from B Gas are guaranteed for 5 years. Not sure about other companies.
Very true, all houses are affordable to someone. Some of the houses are very nice indeed, every possible luxury, at a price. Certainly not entry level housing. I think my first house was £27000, that was a large three bed semi, with a huge garden, garage. I think I sold it within 2 days of it going on the market after 6 months, for 45000. That was in the late 80's when the markets went crazy and prices shot up almost daily. Oh I am waffling on already..............
We were so pleased that my buggy has gone to such a lovely home, it will give him a new lease of life to get out and about. His wife was a proper chatter box. Wonderful - there are a lot of lovely people in the world.
We didn't really think anything more than oh dear, the surgery has had a glitch in their computer, not thinking that half the world had been attacked by a ransomware attack. The heartache and trouble it has caused is beyond measure. People about to go into theatre, unable to have their operations. Just getting blood results would be a nightmare, everything goes through on the computer system.
Let's hope they can sort it. I read that one guy has stopped it in its tracks, by finding a website in the code, and buying the domain name, which triggered a halt in the ransomware. He is a hero.
We will have to find the most gooey, sugary, jammiest doughnut for Lucy, in order for her to win the award, for not licking.
I know what you mean about keeping things that were from late family members. We have a few pieces of furniture and mostly papers, diaries, Dad's Crosses from his Clergy days, two of which are beautiful, solid silver and enamel. Small things like brooches and things that they had around, that we could never part with. But, what happens down the line so to speak, no one would want them as they would not have the same sentiment. I must not overthink it, or I will tie myself in knots.
ooh, I didn't realise that sloths could be bad tempered. Having just read the Wikky digest on them, it is very interesting, amazing creatures, that have a whole ecosystem living in their fur. We had best give the babies a bath  We don't want too many "lodgers".
There will be a national shortage of Bamboo, we want plenty in stock for our baby boy. I think he needs a companion red panda, so we can look for another to join the zoo.
Glad there have been no more fires, let's hope the arsonists have been caught.
Your boss made you another cup of T oh my goodness   Me thinks he has a pang of guilt over his wage comments a while back.
Then you were up early and doing a big clean round. You were busy.
You do right getting a hedge cutter, no way could I use a manual one and OH would not let me near the electric one  :? there would be a disaster I am sure. So I make T and more often than not I throw that all over the kitchen
Well, I had better move, I can hear it raining heavily. Best check at the back door, with a ciggy
Hope everyone has a good night, take lots of care XXXX Aidan
Group hug
