I wrote about my stalker once,
    the cancer cells that hover.
    Floating through my lymph nodes
    and possibly my blood.
Are they all still in there?
    I really shouldn’t bother.

    There lurks in every corner,
    in every nook and cranny
    several stalkers closing in
    upon this fragile granny.

    Creeping through my brittle bones
like moss strewn rocks and stones
I have three types of bone disease
In my shoulders, spine and hips
not to mention both my knees.

And then of course, my poor old chest.
I keep it hidden in a vest
    to keep at bay Pneumonia
    and poisonous Pseudomonas
    that causes coughs and sneezes.

    Vasculitis Did I mention ?
    Those inflamed vessels sole intention
    is causing pain and inflammation
with itchy spots and nasty rashes.
I wish they all would go away.

Evening, well morning, to one and all................someone turned the heating up and added 100% humidity ie I am lathered.

24 hours ago we were thinking oh, it's a bit chilly

Thought I would pop in and check on the babies and the new arrivals.
The Bush Babies are quite active now (also called Galago's) They are quite noisy and very quick, leaping about the trees. Plenty of insects and fruit for them. They are ADORABLE.

The Lemurs are resting. Warthogs are all asleep and snoring away, much to the disdain of the Giraffes.

Frogs are happy in their pond, sitting on giant lilly leaves, waiting for bugs.

Meerkats are all in their burrows, thinking it is rather cool tonight

Mum and Calf are asleep, as are the lambs, piggies, tapir's okapi's, Yack, Marigold........ and Cuddles is out getting voles for the little owls.

We had some time in the garden, OH really sorted out the front border, everything had a trim, weeds out, grass cut, all looking pristine. I sprayed some mares tails, they are tough things to get rid of, if you try and pull them out, they snap and regrow in a couple of days

Got a bit hot, so came in and sorted sandwiches.

Actually slept when we had a nap, which is a miracle in itself.

I won't dwell, I hope everyone is ok, I bet Barbara is melting.

Just wanted to say n night, and rest well. Let me see if I can get a picture of our bush babies...........Galago.jpg

OK, they take cuteness to a whole new level, without a doubt.

    I love our zoo.

Right, take care everyone, see you later today. XXXX Aidan

Oh they are so very cute Aidan!!!

You did a thorough recce of our menagerie last night didn't you? Did it cool you down?

The hose is running now and I've been up since 6 doing morning feeds. So therapeutic. Cuddles did well on 'vole-patrol' better than Diddi who often eats the top halves :?

I was hot too....intolerably so  It's perfect just now. I think I also could have slept in the afternoon.

I bet your garden looks fabulous I agree mares tails are annoying :(. Today I shall be doing some village clearing out the front.

Waddington is a sizeable village Aidan...is yours in the same category? We have the same problem with ours and Acton Trussel. Also they have paths we don't have many as we are a rural village with farms and they aren't.

Miss Sleek has been over early again today to see Pepe. She said she loved the picnic, but missed the ice cream s she's taken some of ours over. Hope there's not too much mess

Kath I am so glad you posted this poem on here it is so good. Yo must add it to the sticky poetry post. They ought to put it in the 'Inspire' Magazine.

Carol I have looked at the christening photos the girls are adorable :) I can see it was an amazing day memories to treasure.

I think Barbara, that we don't wan to waste time as we get older. I am more tolerant than I was. Don't get so cross about silly things, but I can't be doing with time wasters or flogging a dead horse.

Now Lucy will start looking for a job small and part time but with the aim of starting in September.
    :)

I hope Joan is ok and the doggies and Sue of course. :)

Shower party tomorrow everyone!!!!! Aidan has almost got rid of all the 'grit'

    Love

Too right Joan some people can't be bothered although they are easily well enough to do them

If people can't manage due to age/illness etc they should be helped in my opinion.

    Morning all
I didn't get in yesterday spent all day catching up with things after the weekend hope everyone is as pain free as they can be. the weather here today is quite bright and sunny and not much cloud about. have not been out yet so don't know how warm it is .

Kerrin the Kent visit was lovely the weather was very kind to us especially as the thunderstorms were during the night so was not out in any rain it rained on the Saturday morning as we were on the bus on our way to the shopping centre in broadstairs and had stopped by the time we got there so again did not get wet. hopefully the MRI shows up the problem with your hands and it can be sorted out for you. I think we use our hands for so much more than we realise until we have problems with them.

Toni yes think I am still in recovery mode at the moment although I feel a lot less tired today. there are lots of photos on facebook if you look on my timeline you will see all the photos from both my granddaughters and daughters and mine. on there. the two Ggds are the two little ones in the same flowery dresses.

Aiden yes the meeting up in Costas was hilarious think we quite entertained the rest of the customers the whole weekend was quite enjoyable despite mr t being a bit grumpy at times. Graycie was not too worried about the water at all I think she was just tired and wanted to sleep. the Bushbabies are lovely Aiden.

Barbara think Graycie was too tired to be worried by the water she just wanted to sleep.

Well must totter off now and get ready to go out. will pop in
    again soon
    take care
    Stay positive always👍xx

Thank you for your kind comments about my poem. If you don't mind, I'll just put that here. I've written another to post on the poetry thread, about my cousin Avril.

Barbara, instead of having a farm shop, why don't we have an honesty box near the zoo, where we can have a table for eggs. Perhaps we could put some cakes out too. :D

Love the Bush Babies, too cute for words. Love and hus to you all. xxxx

    An early morning to all.

Well, today has been and gone and now it is tomorrow already :? :?
My get up and go, got up and went.

I wanted to write this afternoon, but the afternoon vanished.

Then I wanted to write this evening and it has been so miserably hot and humid, I am just totally jaded. So I send my apologies, I will write tomorrow / today, when it is hopefully a bit cooler.

Everyone take lots of care XXXXXX Aidan

Will it be cooler Aidan? It feels better outside so all windows are open here.

It was a tad too ho for me yesterday and I also had to make an emergency trip to the vet with a youngish bunny which naughty Daisycat caught :x

The vet thought he had a good chance so she gave him antibiotics and two lots of painkillers, nut he died naturally. Not in pain though of fear.

Today I will have my beady eye on that cat :x Even though I know it's nature...I draw the line at rabbits!!!

Pepe would have had heart failure

Kath our comments were genuine that was a great poem.... it got me. I get it not all being about arthritis. I will read your poem in the poetry thread later.

    Barbara
how adorable!! The bush baby wanted a cuddle?!! Heart swelling s040.gif

Yes a shower party before Lucy comes back and now that Aidan and I have finally got rid of the gritty stuff. candles fizz I'll supply the music :)

My ENT is on the 13th (gulp!!) at 10:15 am. Good girl remaking yours.

Lucy's new appointment for neurology is NOVEMBER!! I shall ring the epilepsy nurse specialist for advice I think.

GD will be fine it will be wonderful and emotional for her. Lucy also wanted to go, but we have a 50th in the village.

Carol with your permission I have now been proper nosey and looked at all the photos!! Those girls are adorable. You must be so proud. I hope I get to see my own GGDs in future...need Gkids of course first

I hope that you are feeling better now and fully recovered. there is always payback for doing something as 'big' as you did, but the memories make it so worthwhile don't they? :)

I very much hope Christine is ok??? Not overdoing it...

and Joan wasn't in yesterday - were they fixing her boiler I wonder???

and Kerrin too....was that upping the MTX..no that's Fridays.... :?

    Love to everyone

    Morning all...
Aiden no apologizes necessary..we all need some time away form the forum..especially when time is limited...hope those hands are healing..
Toni...bless the little bunny ..I am the same with the birds I dread the cats getting them..good thing they make a noise when the cats are near then I can use my water pistol.. how lovely joining in the 50 in the village..the cloak will be out on the 13th...and good to check with the Epilepsy nurse specialist ..hope all will be well..
Kath an honesty box is a good idea..I am sure we will sell lots..and the money can be used to buy more feed and pay the keepers wage..wonder if he has arrived yet..not seen him around.. :?
We have our middle GD here in bed..she has ordered her dress for the prom , the end of June..cant believe how time has gone  her daddy is buying her the dress and we have paid for her makeup...pampered or what...
Still no email about the mattress..I looked at the reviews on the company ..apparently you do get the goods eventually.. :o

Hi Toni thank you I think they are adorable too but then I am bias. yes I am very proud of all my grandchildren and great grandchildren, did you notice the snapchat, selfie of our youngest granddaughter and my self with the doggie ears I had to laugh when I saw that one on my timeline and the one with her and
an older man with a beard that's Mr Turbo.
yes the payback in my case here was not pain just absolutely shattered for a couple of days. I am fine now though. and yes the memories make it all worthwhile

Barbara That's ok I knew you meant Graycie don't worry I get all there names mixed up daughters grand children and great grandchildren as they all sound alike at the end daughters are Kerry and Becky grandchildren are Kayleigh Mickey and Kaci and then of course the 2 little ones are Lillie and Graycie. so its no wonder I am always calling them by the wrong names. :?
mind you if 5 of the 7 were not called by shortened versions of their names things might be different.

well i'm off out to meet my friend soon so must say bye for now will pop in later

have a lovely day to you all.

    Morning everyone.

Having a quiet day at home, me myself, the cats, my cross stitch and tennis on TV.

It's been quite a busy week wedding planning wise. After seeing the Rheumy on Tuesday, my friend came down from London on Wednesday. We decided on some flowers. Going for the country look as venue is in the country. 9907e3cf138dcd3754fddad643c64f49.jpg

And yes I've upped the meth. Energy levels are showing!

Afternoon to all, thankfully it is cooler, all windows open and not melting.
The last 48 hours have been horrid, super hot, fybro, IBS, joints flaring, oh the joys of arthur, NOT.

Anyway, I feel a bit more human again today. Hoorah.

Toni, I was very thorough in my night time ventures around the zoo, I see now we have another keeper, he was talking to the animals, someone by the name of Doolittle :) The warthogs were having a right old natter with him.

Glad that the water was running and cuddles managed to find the voles for the little owls. Half eaten ones, mmmm, not sure they would like them. (I won't mention it to Pepe).

The garden does look very nice, B has worked so hard and it all looks lovely, he wants it so that it almost looks after itself, apart from watering. We need rain so much.

The mares tails are terrors, with all the park being forest at one point, the native plants are still very active, like mares tails and marsh grasses.

I think Waddington is on a par with West Bradford, we have a stream going through the village, but it is not as posh as the one in Waddington, with the lovely grounds around it, there is no room for land around our streams.

no there was not too much mess with the ice cream, they didn't want to waste any. They did enjoy their picnic. He has been laying low over the past couple of days, with the heat.

What will Lucy be looking to do, hairdressing maybe, part time? I bet she misses it and would love to go back.

Did I miss the shower party? After de gritting the shower :(

Joan I hope the gas man comes with the right parts this time. It is like war and peace, the boiler of yours, totally unnecessary for you to be putting up with.
Most people keep their gardens and plots all neat and tidy here. It is frowned upon if you don't look after your garden. Which is only right. Those that cannot do, ask the park for help and they do so, for a nominal charge.

Hi Carol I have been looking at all the lovely photo's, adorable and so glad you had a lovely week end, despite the thunderstorms keeping you awake. I like the snapchat picture too lol.
It is nice when a group gets together in a coffee shop, it raises everyone's spirits, if there is a lot of chatter and laughter. Even if Mr T was a little bit grumpy

Hope you are recovered now, from your visits.

Hi Barbara, I thought you might have been melting. It was not as high a temperatures as the week before but the humidity was just miserable. Not surprised you were up every hour.

The bush babies are gorgeous and so glad you had a lovely cuddle with one. I would have them draped round me all day, along with some lemurs.
We are watching the tennis, yes, it will soon be Wimbledon, first the Stella Artois at Queens, which I REALLY like, would love to go.

Hands are not too bad, keeping up with creams, B's are improving too. No, they didn't lock me in the side rooms on the wards, although I am sure they wanted to at times. I would always make sure the doors were open as wide as possible so I could see everything that was going on :lol:
They did shut them at night, when I was snoring like a buffalo.

You have you ENT for the 21st and I see Toni has hers on the 13th, lots of cloak duties. Will have AC installed underneath, or we will melt.

I am sure your GD will be ok at the concert. There will be a ring of security around the whole grounds and everyone will be stopped and searched if necessary. I can well understand you being worried though. I would be just the same.

Hi Kath, I will have a read of your Poem about Avril. The one you posted here was just spot on. ((()))
Yes, we can have an honesty box and a cake stand is an essential, we want people to have treats when they are admiring our lovely creatures. No feeding cake to the animals though, well, maybe the piggies and the warthogs and the giraffes and the lemurs and the bush babies...................... :? :?

Hope you are as ok as can be and getting out and about

Oh dear Toni, poor bunny, as you say, they die from shock, but at least the poor thing was not in discomfort. Miss Sleek, under very close watch I am sure.
I won't say a thing to Pepe, he would faint. :o:o

No, I didnt miss the shower party, I will bring T and cakes and party nibbles. I will get them sorted now.

We will be there for the ENT appointment, don't worry, he says, as if I don't worry about anything at all..............

A good idea to have a chat with the Epilepsy nurse specialist. Then her appointment in November.

I see Barbara has her middle GD with them, being pampered, that's fine, nothing wrong with pampering at all, ask Pepe.:lol:

Hi Kerrin, lovely puskin and lovely flowers too, good choice. Glad you are watching the tennis, we keep swapping between the two Eurosport ones. Novak is on at the moment. Not having it all his own way.

I am hoping the MTx is working for you, seems that it might be doing the trick and helping as much as it can.

Right, it is pill time and they are much needed. So I will away. Everyone take care and we will enjoy the shower party, now, let me see if the table is ready.d6a16dabf984f0c2e9beee03a1b04098.jpgtavola-della-signoria-02-1024x683.jpg

Aiden Thank you for the comments on our family photos glad you liked the snapchat one it really was a fun one. yes a busy weekend but very worth it and Mr T being Grumpy is nothing unusual at any party event as he is not a party person.

Barbara no I don't mind you seeing the pictures at all what is your other name as I will not be able to find you on facebook otherwise and I will send you a friend request and then you will be able to see them.

Aiden, you’re welcome to help yourself to my ‘flags’. They are trying to overtake the garden. I’ve given up on the wage rise. Not sure what I’ll be going back to. I think there were 11 people staying for most of the week. At least, I’ve had a lovely time off. Oh there’s going to be a duck race. Quite a few years ago, I was walking over our bridge when I saw a huge yellow mass floating down the river. No idea what it was so waited a while. It turned out to be hundreds of ducks. The borough mayor holds a duck race every year and he has a giant duck in the town information shop which comes out and sits near the town hall in the summer.

Kerrin, I’m glad you have had some relaxing time. What a shame you didn’t get to actually meet Prince Charles. Hope the higher dosage of the mxt works for you. I used to run half marathons, the GNR, so trained all year round, but had to give up 7 years ago. I still think I will run again one day, especially if I watch the GNR or London marathon on tv. The flowers look lovely and your cat is quite relaxed. What is his/her name?

Barbara, sorry about your niece’s stepdad. That was very young. You’ve changed your ENT appointment. That’ll give us a bit more time to get the cloak aired so we can come with you. Your GD is going to the concert. I’m sure it will be fine but I’d be like you, on edge till she’s back home again.

Carol, it sounds as if you had a lovely time. I always wonder what goes through babies’ minds when they have the water trickled on their heads. My niece shouted ‘Oy’ each of the 3 times the vicar poured the water on. Hope you’ve caught up on your sleep. Lovely pictures of the christening.

Toni, you hardly found any litter in your village. Wish it was like that here. Seems to be getting worse despite the council sending someone every week to clean up. I’m glad to hear that Lucy is looking to get back to work again. Good on her for wanting to get on with her life. Aw, poor bunny but I guess it is nature. Daisycat won’t know any different. You’ll be fine for your ENT appointment. We’ll be there with you. Thanks for thinking of me. I think time is just speeding by and before I now it, I haven’t been in the café for a few days.

Kath, you are so good at writing poems. I too wish all your problems would disappear. I agree with Toni. It would be good to see your poems in the Inspire magazine.

Joan, I see the man is coming back tomorrow to add another part to your heating. Everything crossed that it’s the last time he’s needed. Hope you and Sue are as well as possible and your foot is feeling ok now.

All of our prospective candidates went to a hustings last night in our High Street except our present MP. He didn’t even bother to say he wasn’t going to turn up. Just told a newspaper reporter today that he thought it had been fixed against his party. Another candidate knocked on my door before he went and was quite happy to talk to me.
Thought we’d seen the last of the small fires around here but there have been a few more. A litter bin, the remains of the portaloo which was burned down a couple of weeks ago and a telegraph pole. Also the recycling bins outside of the parade of shops in the next town.
The local prisoners have put together lots of hanging baskets for the lamp posts and plant pots to put round the town hall. Haven’t been down to see them yet but did see photos. They look really good. Just hope they are looked after. Last year, they weren’t watered so didn’t last long.

A very early morning to everyone.....

Hi Joan, Mum m Dad are ok, still out and about every day. They will be popping in today for coffee and croissants. We haven't seen them for a day or two, apart from to wave, as they have passed by in the car. Nice that you are getting out in the good weather. Hope th gas man brings the right parts today

Hi Barbara It is cooler, a bit. I am not melting, just very warm. I can cope with that.

I am never the ideal patient when in hospital. 7 times so far. I have kicked off, waiting for my INR levels to go up before they would let me home, I have kicked off and demanded to be moved to the private ward   I didn't go in the end, they put me in a side room with its own bathroom. I blamed the drugs :lol: Nurses don't make the best patients, it is a well known phenomenon. :? :?

B is very pleased with all his hard work in the garden. I know there is a little lawn at the front verge, but not a lot. The rest just needs keeping neat. The Vebernum bushes have had a serious hair cut, no, I didn't do it, not allowed. :?

Loving the houses, either would be fine, lovely sea views, they must be up in the million £ bracket. Very nice. One person won the enormous euro jackpot, 131 million or some such figure.........  not us though. Never mind eh. Tennis from Queens is lovely, it is very proper, if you know what I mean, lots of Pims and the like, nice and close to the players. Cannot wait.

Hi Carol, the pictures are lovely, I hope Barbara gets to see them ok. The little dresses are gorgeous.

All seems quiet in the zoo, I will have a wander in a while.

Hi Christine, nice to see you. Hope you have enjoyed your week off, although it sounds like you might find goodness knows what when you go to work next, if they have had 11 people stopping.
If anyone deserves a pay rise, it is you :) I will send out some vibes of generosity to your boss.

Duck races seem to be quite popular. The one near you sounds good, with a big duck in the town lol. If we don't have some rain, there will be no race, as the stream will have dried up to nothing and the ducks will go nowhere.

Time does fly by, faster and faster, the more birthdays you have  :?

So your MP is still on the planet, if he contacted the newspaper, to say that he would not be attending the hustings.
I would not want to get in to a political wrangle, but I hope that Theresa May wins and we can just get on with Brexit. She came out tops on the debate tonight, even though the BBC are very left wing.

So the fires continue, terrible, I wish the Police could catch them. That is nice of the prisoners to do the hanging baskets, all you need is the council to provide some water, shame to let them die off. Write to them :) ask them if they can spare some water for making the town look beautiful in bloom.

I think all has been cleaned up now, from Lucy's shower party. There was a lot of cake in the shower, wet sponge, jelly, a big squirty cream fight...... :cake: ......oh dear. We all had to have a wash down. It is small, but perfectly formed. Don't let Lucy know, or allow Miss Sleek to pass on any information. She was horrified.

All the animals are fine, the bush babies are busy away, in their trees, very nimble little things. Glad we have Dr Doolittle on board, to talk to the animals.

OK, I am rambling on now. Time to move.

I will away and potter a little. Everyone take lots of care, love to all those who are not here at the moment, thinking of you (())
    N Night XXXX

Afternoon to one and all, bright and sunny, but a nice breeze, thank goodness.

You are having wifi trouble then Toni, was it Miss Sleek when she skyped Pepe overnight? He said they were messing about, pulling faces at each other  and taking lots of "selfies"  bless eh.

I would be there all day if I had to reply on my phone, even thought it is not tiny by any means, the letters are, when you are writing and predictive text comes up with some corkers. :?

    Hope the t'internet sorts asap.

Sorry about the mess in Lucy's bathroom, Pepe said Miss Slimkins was aghast, even though the cream fight was rather tasty :lol:
Miss Sleek did fly by when Mum n Dad were here, it was only brief, whizzing past on the breeze. I guess she will be over when we are napping later.

The Bush Babies do cling on tight, they are so adorable. All of them are asleep in their hiding holes now.

Joan I hope the boiler man has fitted the "whatever's" to the radiators and that they work as they should. Enjoy your trips out in the fine weather, I think there is quite a bit of rain this coming week, but we need it so badly.
I will be glad when the election is over, it is like playground fighting all the time, he said, she said, they said............

Love to both and to the doggies too.

Hi There Barbara - so all the **** cats are asleep on your decking, that's lovely, I bet they are in the sun.

Yes, any of the houses in that area, overlooking the sea, will be fine. We didn't win the Euro last night, one person did, not in the UK though  I am sure we will win tonight though :lol: :?
Check your ticket though, the second prize was well worth having nearly 300 thousand. That would do, for a starter :)

If you don't mind, I will add you to my facebook friends list. I don't post a lot, so you won't be inundated. I cannot see you on Toni's list so I might have to search for you :)

I will keep an eye out for mouse plants for sale, ours is enormous now, like a giant cushion. I have found one nursery that has one left for sale https://dorsetperennials.co.uk/product/arisarum-proboscideum-mouse-tail-plant/

they seem to be like hens teeth.

Enjoy the carnival, sounds lovely. Not been to one of those in many a long year.

Mum n Dad came round for coffee and croissants, which was very nice. Lots of French butter, well, you have to really. Mum had her jewellery on, she loves her wire work necklace and wants some earrings to match, so OH is on the hunt for some labradorite cabouchons that he can work with. He has earring finders and the like in his "stash".

Hope everyone else is ok, Christine, I forgot to thank you for letting me have some irises, ooops.
Carol, hope you are having a good week end, Kerrin, Mig, Charrisse, Elizabeth too.

I think it is time for T and cakes. Let me go find some...........

Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan

    I'm in!!!

I think it was Miss Sleek messing with the computer I couldn't even turn it off I had to unplug it until it died. Laptops eh?

She ate quite a bit of that squirty cream the little madam - and added a furball as a reward

It's been a fabulous day here with a wonderful wedding in the Church. (no choir required :( ) the bride arrived in a classic car with her step-dad.

The bridesmaids on a trailer pulled by a tractor stepping down on milk churns :)

Fabulous. I have photos so will (again) try to upload tomorrow morning :)

I am glad everyone seems to be ok

Joan thank you I hope your weekend is good.

Aidan Miss Sleek did indeed flyby. She was a little unnerved here by the drone videoing the wedding. I hope she popped back later.

Don't worry about clearing up the shower room Barbara it's all done the shower is so powerful!!!

Keep well everyone I will try again to post tomorrow.

    Love

    Toni xxx
