Afternoon from a very wet, misty and very humid Ribble Valley. Pendle has vanished into the mists.
Better not fly over in this Miss Sleek, it is really quite foggy and Pepe is :animal_busy: at the moment. He has been chasing Cookie and his Mother, so I am sure it is due to his vole catching training in the secret garden  Mother was spitting like a cobra. Cookie can outrun him, but she does scream when he jumps out on her :?
Yes, stick to your usual chemist Toni, if you both know each other and they know what Lucy has been through, then that gives them the lead, by a long mile.
HOW MUCH bacon goodness...........I will pop over for a bacon butty, if that's ok.
There is a wisteria draped into a pool, the water is so clear and clean, nice to sit with your feet in it. So Miss Sleek does have a crystal ball too, quite a good idea to have it on her collar, until she looses it. Mind you, she can magic another one
Pepe is keeping his under his pillows, so he can chatter when in bed.
Say yes to the dress, we watched it last night, Pepe was peeping, I could see his little crocodile eyes. :?
Hope the Church book sale goes well and that the indoor BBQ passes off equally well later on. There will be enough bacon I am sure  It is all go in that village of yours, always something going on, which is nice.
I am sure I saw Jericat this morning, or did Miss sleek do a fly by, they were at a distance, before the mists came down.
Hi Kath, good to hear you have some new shoes, the same ones that you saw the other week? Nice and comfy too
That is very kind of you to set out an area in your garden, it looks lovely, a perfect area to have a cuppa, before going into into the secret garden.
It is a beautiful walkway, down to the gate, looks wonderful, I will be over later...........
hope you are not ouchy and having a better day.
Hi Barbara, I am with you on the humidity, it says 98% on my phone, which is being in the amazon. Yesterday was pleasant, today is soggy, tomorrow looks better, sunny, with a breeze, so I will save the ironing until then.
Next door rang, he is coming round for me to help write a letter of complaint re his phone saga.
I keep thinking about tickets to see Jane, almost booked them last night, but then didn't. I will think about it. I am not good in crowds, or sitting for anything but a short time. I would not want to frustrate those around, with me getting up and down..........we will see.
It would be a far better show than a man with a stuffed Ostrich, that's for sure
Acers are lovely, ours where originally from Tesco, £5 each, many years back, now they are about 5 foot tall. They have some wonderful ones at the GC, for a price.
Farrers, not heard of them as a coffee shop, sounds delicious. The lady who is normally in charge of drinks, has been away at the GC and the coffee has not been the same. Let's hope she is back on Monday.
Good to see your Youngest and Niamh, bless, looking back to see who had blown the whistle, well, it is a perfectly normal response.
Christine has posted a few things on FB, I think she is home now. With a lot of jet lag and catching up to do I bet.
Right, I had better move, before neighbour comes round. I want to potter a little, before I sit down again.
Hi to everyone else, take lots of care all. Until later. XXX Aidan
A must have snack

Good evening all
just popped in for a quick ride around the zoo to see that all lovelies were behaving and that there was no spitting or mud throwing but all were behaving nicely. gonna be a very long busy day tomorrow I have got to meet youngest daughter at waterloo station at 11.15 for a nice dinner out before going on to Clerkenwell to the St john ambulance annual award ceremony as she I going to be receiving a bar for her medal think it is her 3rd one. and also her division are to receive a special award from the met police for their services to Wimbledon Stadium over the years . I wont be back home probably till about 6.00pm.
I thought id just pop in to say hope you all have a good day and I will catch up on your posts tomorrow.
good night to you all sleep wellStay positive always👍xx0 -
Morning (just) to all, wet, windy and VERY humid here. B said are we in the Tropics ! Feels like it.
Hi Barbara I am sure Joan will post this morning and let us know she is ok, maybe had a busy day out and about.
We are just about on tennis overload at the moment What with the ladies final's, then the doubles, then more doubles..........Venus was pretty much all in I think. I didn't mind who won, but Mugarutha played her socks off and finished things in record time, as you say.
We like doubles, it is all action, quick as a flash reactions, always seems really good humoured, even though they don't half clatter each other with the ball at times.
Just the men's final today. I have a hunch that Roger will win. I know Cilic has beaten Roger, only once as far as I can remember. They know each other really well and are good friends and play a lot of doubles together. It will be a great match I am sure. I will be glued to my chair.
I suppose there are seats with no one behind you at concerts, I was looking at the seating plan and all the disabled seating areas had sold out already I will have another look.
I think Farrers is a one of cafe in Scarborough, but there is a Farrers in Kendal too. Plus, there is a Farrers coffee merchant, so, not sure if they are all one and the same business. Whatever, it sounds like a wonderful place, have been looking at the pictures of it on Google earth.
Next door popped round and I sent off a polite, but firm, letter of complaint for his phone and the fiasco of the repair and replacement. We are always open all hours, lol, for advice and support.
Yes, time to go clicking on FB, lots of likes Have you put your photo on yet
So you will have a road full of Iron Men and Ladies. Steady away, too much lycra is not good for anyone It beats speeding traffic though. I am sure they were saying hello last time you were taking photo's - you were not in the middle of the road where you   :?
I know, poor Toni, cooking all that bacon, it would not have made it to the indoor BBQ if I did it, one for me, one for you, one for me........
Hi Carol It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time today, with the presentation from St John's, to your Daughter after a lovely lunch out, then another presentation from the Met Police, for the sterling work the St John's have done at Wimbledon over the years. You will be very proud, all of you. They do invaluable work and support other medical services at so many events, far more than people realise.
Enjoy everything, then put your feet up as soon as you get home.
You rest well too
Toni, I hope you have had a good indoor BBQ, I bet all the bacon went in a flash. Miss Sleek was telling Pepe how wonderful the smell was from Mummy's cooking.
Miss Slimcea has been on the crystal ball to his nibs, they have also been talking to Hogwarts - I think they have a new spell, but I am not sure what it is  If I turn into a toad, pop me in the pond won't you :?
Fair weather today, so I would guess they will be on a trip to London, via the teleport and a fly round with Jericat - they might all appear on Pendle, to take in the views of the valley, in fact, they could appear anywhere, mind your heads.
I have been round the lovelies in the sanctuary, Carol had already stocked up the food supplies. Blush has finally come out of the bamboo and had some juicy fruits. The Lemurs have had a fair few bunches of grapes today, they love them.
The warthogs are just in a total mess and loving it. I did hose them down, but they ran straight back into the mud pool.
I think the Super Vet has seen to everyone's teeth, they are all gleaming, the Llamas are grinning, as well as the Alpaca's and Giraffe's. The meerkats are smiling, which looks a little strange
Okapi's and Tapir's are in their pool, relaxing. The seals are asleep. The Bush babies are not in their enclosure, I think they are with Kath, having cuddles and snoring.
Johnny is on duty, as well as a lady vet.
I hope everyone else is ok, Kerrin, Christine, Joan, Mig, Charisse, Elizabeth and all.
Our internet has just gone off, so I will copy this quickly and paste it...........if I loose it, I will LOOSE it too.
Ok, we are back online. Better post, before it goes askew. Everyone take lots of care XXXX Aidan
Breakfast
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Good Morning Aidan thank you for the continental breakie and how lovely it would be if our blessings outnumbered the shamrocks
Pepe and Miss Sleek did indeed go off to pick up Jericat and they went to Wimbledon again. They seem to enjoy it watching the hawk they let loose to chase the pigeons away while the tournament is on. I agree Venus was exhausted.
The new spell is one they can only use infrequently according to Diddicat....it's like the one they use at Hogwarts it sort of zaps you somewhere. They only get 12 uses out of it and she says they will save it for special occasions or when it's been bad weather and they haven't seen each other for a while She can magic up a new crystal ball if needs be. She should magi-up un-losable collars :?
The books and bacon baps made nearly £500 which is great and the undercover barbecue became an outdoor one as the sun came out to play. All the girls came even Lucy so that was nice as did the lady who uses her w'chair and her husband, my choir-buds
Pom brought local strawberries which were so sweet.
Fabulous village we have here
Your park is like a village too isn't it with you helping neighbours out with letters and advice about their health.....I hope the letter is effective.
The lady vet is on the telly too....might be Yorkshire vet I met her this morning on her way home and didn't like to ask  Would have been rude. Look at their teeth!! They look so shiny and no fillings either I heard
Carol sounds to be having a very special day today How wonderful and how proud you will be Carol I bet you get lots of 'fainters' at Wimbledon with the heat on the courts.
I hope all goes well and look forward to seeing all the photos on facebook.
Hahaha! Barbara I spotted some of the bacon had gone AWOL no problem there was plenty we put 3 pieces in per bap According to Aidan the cats were after some too Miss Slimkins telling him about the fabulous smell
Will you be watching the Iron man? My old neighbours and another friend do them all the time  mad people!! Did I tell you the tour de France went sooooo close to us but on the 12th the day we caught the early plane home
EVERYONE stands up at Wimbledon between sets so you don't feel bad. Maybe we should have standing/shuffling breaks built in to all performances?
Hello to Joan I am sure you will be in soon and hope all is well.
Love to everyone else ((()))

Morning all..raining here but so humid again
Aiden I was on the pavement so don't think they were swearing at me.. but then again I was taking pics ..you cant really see there faces with there helmets ...Farrers is well worth a visit ..I had an ham and cheese board ..with lots of different cheeses and crackers.. I will look out for there coffee..mind you I would have to drink it by the sea..
Its good of you to help with the letter of complaint ..I hope your neighbours get an answers soon...must say I am not to keen on doubles tennis..think its the pace of it ..but cant wait for Roger and Cilic today...the 2 weeks has gone so quickly..
Toni that is a good amount to raise..how lovely that everyone comes together like this..good that the girls all came ..you really have settled in there..a shame you missed the tour de france..I have been watching them go past since around 7...just thinking about what they do make me tired..and like I have said it is very humid..and they have to do the marathon yet
Carol I bet you are so proud of your daughter..following in your footsteps..and being recognized for the good job you all do and have done...hope today is a rest one...
Right another coffee for me to wake me up..
I had better check on all the animals goodness knows how many we have now..the tapirs wait to have there back scratched, even before I feed them... I dont like the smelly fish I have to throw for the seals..so will let them help themselves..
Love to everyone xxxxxxLove

RIBBIT, RIBBIT - was that you Aidan? I tried to pop you in the pond, but you were too quick for me. Don't know where you disappeared to.
Wonderful breakfast, I didn't know when to stop.
Joan, glad you and the doggies had a good day.
Aidan, The shoes I got weren't the original ones I saw before - their better, but more expensive. The first pair were just slip ons, these have a strap, so I can't walk out of them."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, sunny here and a little breeze, so not too melting, he says, with the tumble dryer on
So the three of them where off to Wimbledon again Toni, they do like it there.
They might have been again today, when we had to pop out, using one of Miss Sleeks magic transportation spells to get there and back. I bet they had words with the Hawk and took a look at center court ahead of the big match.
I seem to have run out of afternoon, what with the men's final, we are exhausted, Cilic all upset, then Roger upset, then Roger making history, first player ever to win 8 times, wow, what an achievement.
Not a dry eye in the house.
Sounds like you had a great outdoor BBQ, with good weather, raising plenty of money. Glad Rev Dephine is well.
I will write more later, Hi to Barbara, Joan, Carol, Christine, Elizabeth, Kerrin, Charrisse, Mig and all.
I need a lie down.
Take care, catch you later..............XX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Sounds like a great day Barbara It really lifts your spirits seeing something like that close-up. I hope none of them pass out with the heat.
Do you enjoy the wheelchair tennis? Doubles are fast, but fun I think.
We are so lucky to live here for sure
Ah Joan good to see you. Nice ride into town then with the dogs riding when they want. I bet everyone loves seeing them
Kath you don't want shoes you can accidentally leave behind So long as they are comfy.
I saw a toad  I'm pretty sure it wasn't Aidan :?
Hi Aidan Wimbledon it was Sleek has been asleep all afternoon recovering bless her little cotton paws I think the transportation spells really knock them about, but I am told it was totally worth it.
I think Because Jericat is near there they love it. The Hawk did let them onto centre court they have taken so many selfies
Amazing result for Roger making history
Thanks for the Afternoon Tea.

Evening all..
Aiden I started sobbing..I mean proper..Roger was so calm and collective ..I did feel for Cillic..especially when he started crying with the pain...Roger must be so proud and his family were all there including the children...hope you had a good nap after all that excitement.. a lovely tea bu the way...thankyou..
Toni it was goo d to watch..but they opened the rd just before 11 and we saw at least 3 cyclist with nums going up the rd, I was really worried they would be hit by a car.....the bacon bap was delicious we will come again I find the wheelchair tennis fascinating..
Kath I like shoe zone ,and so does my OH...glad you could get the shoes with straps..
Joan you are there ..glad you had a lovely ride out with the doggies.. they are very lucky having a ride on the scooters..bless them..
What will I do now Wimbledon is over...
Have a good evening everyone xxxxxxLove

Evening to one and all, finally, a little time out, so I will put fingers to keys.
HI Toni, not sure how many of the transportation spells Miss Sleek and Pepe have used, but Pepe was on the phone to Hogwarts tonight, I am sure he was asking for more  I would guess that Miss Sleek will be calling them too, or video calling, with her blusher on and batting her eyes
They have used a fair few with the trips up and down to Wimbledon, they will just have to fly high and at speed, until more magic is bestowed. There was mention of advanced broomstick training for them both :? That was they would gain extra magic.
Lovely that all the girls came to the BBQ, nice when everyone is together Obviously everything went down very well. Even though Barbara and I pinched some bacon - ooops
Wonderful that the lady who uses the wheelchair came too, with her husband
All followed by local strawberries, thank you to Pom, can we call her Mrs Wisteria Pom
I guess our park is like a mini village come to think about it. Everyone is pretty cool and look our for each other, (there are always those who prefer to gossip and spread rumours, but that is normal and we pay no heed).
We are the local Citizens Advice, Health Center, Writing, Printing, Jewellery making, one stop shop
3 neighbours have been in today, two have bought some more jewellery, another had put an order in, word is out on the street. Go Bill.
He has been making so many lovely items, he will be having a stand at the village fair later in the year, I am sure it will be a sell out.
Some of his wire wrapped cabuchons were on the wall of fame on the Jewellery Channel last week, (we missed it, but next door saw it and we found the link on FB) She said I was sat there reading and they said his name. They choose a small selection of all the pictures that people send in, everyone is given a raffle number, but he didn't win this time.
I think the Vet is from Yorkshire, lovely lady. All the lovelies have lovely clean teeth now, lots of smiling (apart from the warthogs).
Shame you missed the Tour de France go past. They came through Skipton a couple of years back, but it was so busy, we decided not to queue in traffic. We like to watch it, looking at all the wonderful villages and scenery, will have to catch up now that Wimbledon has finished.
We have seen some Triathlon on tv, they are mad, very fit, but mad none the less. The water they swim in sometimes, is enough to make my toes curl
Hi Barbara glad you enjoyed the iron man challenge, well, seeing it, not doing it..... Even though they opened the road, which is a bit scary when a race is on.
Farrers coffee merchants sell their coffee online, might be worth a nosey, the lunch sounds delicious, set off with the sea air, wonderful and then some.
I have lost count of all the animals, I keep saying I will do a list, but then I forget how many lovelies there are :?
So you were bawling too at the tennis finals. Poor Cilic was SO SO upset, he was crying his eyes out.
Then Roger got quite upset when he saw his children, aren't they adorable, I cannot believe the girls are 9 years old already.
The doubles finals were good too, the wheelchair players are so skilled, it is just amazing to watch them race around the court.
So it is all over, now we move on to the US circuit, the next big one is in Cincinatti. Then the Grand Slam in New York. Wonder if Roger can make it 20 grand slam wins. He is amazing, a tennis legend in his own lifetime.
Hi Joan glad you have been out and about, with the doggies hitching a ride when they want, bless them. The tennis was good wasn't it. I think we are on tennis overload and need a day or two off now, :? not too long though.
I heard a toad too Kath, but it wasn't me, honest. Don't worry, he will find the pond in the secret garden.
Those shoes do look very comfy. Always best to have ones that you don't leave behind. I always have velcro fastening, Oh puts my shoes and socks on, I would never get down there in a month of Sundays.
As much breakfast as you like, still no calories, so worry not
Toni has confirmed it was not me that had turned into a toad - I don't think that Miss Slimcea and Pepe can turn people into toads and frogs, that would not be allowed, according to Mr Potter. You have to know all your spells inside out, before you can change people into animals.
The transportation does make them tired, Pepe is sleeping and eating, that's all at the moment, too much excitement down in London with Jericat and Miss Sleek.
I will look out for their selfies, seeing as they have taken so many. I think the camera's are built into their broomsticks.
Good weather for a few days, so maybe there will be local flying, around Pendle Hill and around your Church Spire.
time to potter a minute.................................
That's better, need to keep on moving.
I hope everyone else is ok, Kerrin, have you managed to rest up a bit this week end?
Carol will have had a lovely day with the presentations to her Daughter and a lovely lunch too.
Christine I am sure is home now, back on UK time and not jet lagged.
Elizabeth I hope you and yours are doing as ok as possible, sending hugs.
Charrisse, have you managed to get out to your knitting circle?
We have had a fairly quiet Sunday, of course, watching tennis. Popped into town, to Booth's, could not resist a couple of freshly cooked chicken breasts - I could happily pig out on the hot deli and I am not a big meat eater by any means. It just looks and smells so good.
Nipped into pets at home, for some kitten biscuits, I know, they are older ladies now, but the girls love kitten biscuits. Bless.
All the lovelies are fine, Dr Doolittle is on duty with two other zoo keepers.
I think all the wool has been gathered, for the knitting to begin. The fish do smell a little don't they Barbara, but the seals are more than happy to help themselves.
I have a feeling the Bush babies are still with Kath, a major cuddle time.
I will leave the roof over the meerkats until tomorrow, when the sun shines, they think it is winter already  their heat lamps are on.
The owls are wide awake, Blush is busy in the bamboo.
right, I should think about another potter. Coffee at the GC this morning with Mum n Dad.
Everyone take lots of care. XXXX Aidan
A little something, baked French Toast sticks
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Gosh Aidan! Those French toast sticks!! Lovely
Enjoy your coffee with Mum and Dad who are doing so well
I have been bottle feeding the babies this morning (especially little Oleg!) and left the lid on the Meerkats still they were 'cold'. Bush babies must be at Kath's :? I can't find them anywhere
I did the fish for Barbara I don't mind the smell
Diddicat always ate Tesco kitten food (one flavour only) until they changed the recipe and now she eats felix as good as it looks one flavour only. If the girls like kitten biccies why not? We like rusks
Well done Bill - fame at last on telly He is doing so well with his jewellery isn't he?
Your park is even more like a village now I know some gossip - that also happens here. I don't know why, but that's the nature of some folk
They have over-used the transportation spell. Diddi was even demonstrating to Lucy going from one room to another in the bungalow!!! Honestly what a waste  The blusher was out yesterday so fingers crossed
There is a built-in selfie stick in their broomsticks for definite. They can easily fly to Wimbledon can't they? Today they are off to Jericat's for another lesson. I also hope Kerrin is ok and rested this weekend. Apart from that local flying only for a while...tut,tut!
Pom should be called Wisteria Pom too right. She had to take her husband home as he was too tiddly to drive his scooter  Sooner or later we shall have to brave a 'do' up here
The toad is in the secret garden and very happy he has brought his wife and they can be hared singing away
Hi Joan don't worry about your 3 posts it has happened to me in the past the mods can delete the extras.
Barbara I am sure they will sort Cillic out they are too valuable not to fix. Don't cry ((()))
I'm glad you enjoyed your bacon bap
The wheelchair tennis is brilliant! They are totally 'at one' with their chairs aren't they?
Right....onwards and upwards! ironing to do before the hairdresser's.
Love to all
Toni xx0 -
Morning all sunny out there..there is talk that August is going to be very warm...
Aiden it was the first time I had seen the younger twins of Rogers..the girls seemed to be looking out for them.. I saw some of Jamie Murry in the mixed doubles..its a little to fast for me..not many long rallies..the wheelchair tennis was amazing to watch..who ever designed those chairs..very clever..
So Bill is famous..and he deserve to be with all that work and I am sure he will do well at the fair..I love that you are the one stop shop.. oh thankyou for thr info on Ferrers coffee now why didnt I think of googling it.. :? will go and have a look..
Now I will potter around the zoo..must get heated blankets for the meerkats to cuddle up on..and a fish dispenser...
Toni I see you are dispensing the fish..I love to eat it but not the smell..thanks for the hugs I do get emotional ..think its old age.. ironing then hairdressers you have reminded me I think its my appointment tomorrow
Joan like Toni some of my post have been in triplicate..hope you and Sue have a good day with your doggies..
Our little bank has now closed..it was so easy to pop into town to it ..now its a bus ride away or car...in the next town were they queue like mad..that is the 3rd to go, we now have one left..I know a lot of people use online banking ..but we don't like it..and what about the poor people that don't have computers..
Right my rant for the day..will go and help myself to the french toast drizzled in honey thanks Aiden..Love
Barbara0 -
Yes the Bush Babies are still here. They've taken a liking to my bed. I'll have to get them one for the zoo. I've stopped spoiling them with Jammy Dodgers, so I think they'll be heading home soon.
Bill on TV, I'd love to have seen him. I hope it brings him lots of customers.
I'm not a great tennis fan, but loved the mixed doubles. Golf and a little cricket for me. I enjoy the banter between the pundits. Peter Allis is hilarious.
So we might have some Lynx returning. Hope we don''t get any near our zoo.
Joan, my shoes do have toes. they are darker patches at the front. Lovely soft leather."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

afternoon to all, warm and sunny, still a breeze thank goodness. Weather warnings for Wednesday
Those French toast sticks are just yummy aren't they Toni, I might have eaten one too many
Coffee with Mum n Dad was nice, Mum was very tired today, feeling washed out, nothing in particular, just part and parcel.
The lady who has made the scones for years, has finally retired, so the scones are now made at the GC and they are ENORMOUS, like a meal in one. The boss was asking how we liked them, very much indeed, they must be three times the size of a normal scone !! Mum was over faced with hers, so B ate half. It took me two cups of coffee to get through mine.
I see you have been tending the lovelies, making sure the meerkats are nice and warm. I think the roof if half off now, given the fact that it is boiling in the sunshine. Barbara will be pleased if you don't mind fishes, so will the seals.
We do like Rusks, definitely. The girls are happy with their kitten biscuits
It was the jewellery that appeared on tv, B was not ready for his close up, Still, being on the wall of fame is a great achievement after such a short space of time.
Neighbours husband is now a wee bit jealous, he wants a bracelet too, lapis lazuli, like one that I have B doesn't mind, the more customers the better.
We hear some gossip, usually because people know we won't tell anyone, unlike some, who are akin to the town crier
I think Pepe and Miss Sleek have had a soft warning from Mr Potter, that they are over using the transportation spell, so it has been suspended for a while. They have to get in some broomstick miles, before they can put in for their advanced brooming.
Flitting between rooms, :? naughty Miss Slimkins.
They went down to see Jericat, flying at speed and high altitude. Now it is local flying, to get some miles in. They forget that Mr Potter can see all their activities on his crystal ball.
Oh dear, Pom's Husband being too tiddly to drive his scooter, bless
i am glad that Mr Toad has a Mrs Toad and they are happy in their pond.
I popped into the secret garden and found lots of honeysuckle, stocks, roses, jasmine, wisteria...........oh the smell was gorgeous Had a cup of T at Kaths before I went in, thanks Kath.
The wheelchair tennis is just amazing to watch, you forget that they are in chairs once you start watching, skilled and positive people for sure.
Hope the ironing was not too hot a job. All preened now, very nice too.
Hi Barbara - don't listen to any talk of HOT weather, we don't want any of that, lol. Not the whole of August, please no.
Roger's girls are really growing up and were indeed looking after their little brothers. I get very vocal with the doubles tennis, lots of shouting at the tv
The wheelchairs are just perfect, very clever design indeed. All credit to them.
We are watching the diving world championships at the moment. Saying that, it has just finished for today.
B was very pleased with his wall of fame entry, we will record them in future if we are not in. I am sure he will be sending in another sample of his hard work.
Yep, the one stop shop, for all things, well, most things. Arkwrights, that should be the name on our house.
Have fun looking at Farrers coffee house, hope you manage to get some ordered
A lot of small banks have closed, then they advertise a mobile banking van, for the Highlands and Islands, see, we need to live up there, cooler and the bank comes to you instead, sorted. Quite a few libraries are closing too. As you say, not everyone has a computer or is happy to do their banking online.
Hi Kath, I see the Bush babies are back in their lovely habitat in the sanctuary, no jammy dodgers, not stopping then I am sure the sloths will pop in for a cuddle later.
We like the PGA tour, not so keen on cricket, I would be asleep
Lynx, where are they coming from, they are lovely, but...........
B is busy away with his chain mail necklace one neighbour requested.
I have pottered with the washing, put it out on the airer, no tumble dryer on hot, in this weather, only on cold, to de fluff later.
Lots of people out and about gardening and strimming, in fact, making a right noise
Hi to everyone else, hope all are as well as can be. Let me go see what we can have a nibble of. Take care, till later XXX Aidan
I don't think we have had cream horns in a long time.

Evening everyone.
Had a restful but emotional weekend. My emotions are all over the place at the moment. Spent most of it watching tennis and getting very little done that needs doing.
Last week at school and it's a busy one. Took 60 kiddies (and 6 adults) to Olympic park today to watch para athletics. Was a good day out but now the ankles are very sore! 4 more days to go. Tomorrow I am leafing a training course then finishing things off before Friday.
We're off to South Africa on Saturday for two weeks. Jericat wants to know if her newly found riding pals will be down for some sessions. Tomicat might even join in.
Off to ice the ankles.

Evening all
Yesterday went well enjoyed the meal and presentation then after the presentation we went over the road to a St john building that houses the St John museum, where there was refreshments laid on for everyone. then we were on our way home I arrived home at 6.30 having started the day out at 9.45am so I was absolutely shattered by the time I got home must admit I did sleep well last night but of course it is payback time today. pain is easing off now but well I need to get used to this as its holidays soon. there were official pictures taken yesterday but I do not have access to them at the moment. and sorry to say. I will not be able to put any of them on facebook when I have as it is not allowed as per the organisation.
I did like the fact that when the group had a photo of themselves with the trophy in the garden of the church they asked the photographer if he would do a second one with them and their families members who were there with them and he agreed which was nice. I had a lovely seat reserved for me 3 rows from the front and a space made for my walker to be alongside me.
Kerrin hope you enjoyed your day with the kids and I bet you were shattered by the time you got home. Enjoy you holiday we are of soon on a cruise.
Joan yesterday was a lovely day and I was a proud mum indeed my daughter having two awards
Aidan I sure did rest and put me feet up when i got home.
Hope everyone has had a good day today it has been quite nice and sunny here today I popped out for couple of bits but otherwise I have not done much at all been very lazy today.
just going to have a check of our lovelies hope our bushbabies have returned Kaths cos I want a cuddle.
Night Night allStay positive always👍xx0 -
Ah Carol You must be so proud
I remember the issue with photos so although it's disappointing you can't post them I do understand. :?
Now you need to rest, rest and rest again.
Bush-babies are back I hope you enjoy your cuddle.
Kerrin you are going to survive until the holidays!! PHEW!!! I am relieved ice those ankles. You can buy sort of cool bandages to waer if it helps but you would need to wear trousers to hide them?
Of course Pepe and Diddicat will be along to see Jericat while you're away. They will at least bring some cream for Tomcat if he doesn't want a lesson.
Aidan I am glad Mum ate the equivalent of a whole scone the French sticks were YUM I ate too many.
We may need a life sized photo f the large scones!! Are they the same price??
The D Nurse has told Charley's GF's family to come now to her GD (who brought her up with her Nan). I think things are imminent.
I hear a little gossip, but would only ever tell Paul or Pom (Wisteria-Pom) because I can trust them too. Very politic.
Yes her husband is the one whose kidneys are cross too  What can she do?
Neighbour's hub can have a bracelet why not? More business for Bill
Ah Diddicat did have a red face now I know why  . I checked with Lucy it wasn't her blusher. Over-use of transportation spells tut tut... she hates even a gentle telling bless her.
Did you know she has enough miles already, but will NOT do her advanced without her beloved? How adorable are they? Pepe is doing a lot of the flying with her pillion. Jericat loves seeing them and they are very pleased with their protégé
The fragrances in the secret garden are fabulous aren't they? I love them. Helps you to meditate mindfully.
Ironing was done by 9.30am so all good hair cut too today so looking GOOD
Arkwrights!! Yes the perfect name, but with a live-in (male) Nurse Emmanuel!!
Ohhh!!! Cream horns
Kath the bush-babies must be so clever! they nipped back earlier for a cuddle with Carol as she needed one and I've checked now and they must be back with you??
It seems it was Bill's work not him on TV oh well it's more than I ever did.
Lynx? We'll get Miss Slimkins and Pepe to put a protection spell around our zoo.
Barbara what do you think??
You'll feel good once your hair's done.
I have been and given all the fish out. I can cope with anything gross except for mucus So fish is nothing.
I do online banking, but still need to go into my branch sometimes.
I hate it when they say 'In Branch' on their adverts like 'Branch' is a place :x
hahaha!
Right onwards and upwards
Love to everyone

Evening to all, rather warm, but not melting, fans on. It is quite pleasant out, so we keep nipping to the back door (when B has a moment from his Jewellery making), I cannot say, ciggy time and he is mid bead, wire, thread, etc...........
Watching the tennis was a national pastime at the week end Kerrin, everyone was quite emotional too. I hope you are feeling a bit better asap. Sending some special vibes down with Miss Sleek and Pepe. Of course they will be there often, to take Jericat out for training and maybe Tomicat too, if not, cream or tuna would be a good option.
You certainly know how to finish the term. Gosh. Taking 60 kiddies and 6 adults to Olympic Park, to see the Para Athletics. I bet you are shattered, lots of ice, definitely.
A lead in the training course, then wind down (hopefully) towards the week end.
Then you are off to South Africa, how wonderful, swimming, sitting in the garden, lovely.
Keep us posted on your travels and have a very safe journey. Miss Sleek and Pepe can fly at the same altitude and speed of a jet liner, so watch out for them waving
Hi Carol I am so glad you had a good, if a long and tiring day, yesterday, was thinking of you and hoping that everything went well.
Good that the pain of payback is easing and that you slept well last night, hopefully another good night tonight.
Shame that you cannot put some pictures on FB, but I remember there were rules mentioned before
You had a good seat with your walker near to you, excellent. I am sure you are very proud
Lazy days are very important to all of us. The bush babies were back in their home, Kath had run out of jammie dodgers, so they wandered back. They are still ready for cuddles though.
Hi Toni, funny, I was thinking a little while back, about the new mountainous scones, to take a photo, I will do, next time we are at the GC, not sure it will be this week. Yes, they are the same price, so even better.
Having a couple of lazy at home days, pottering and the like, B has been doing some tidying in the garden, trimming of the dead buddleia, dead heading roses, fussing..........
We had a Colibri in the garden yesterday, you will have seen them often in France, humming bird hawkmoth, they are just SO wonderful. A long history of them being a good omen for the local French people we knew.
Sending hugs to Charlies GF family, poor GD bless him. Waiting and watching is such a sad time. You feel so helpless. ((()))
It is nice that people can trust us to keep our council as my Dad used to say, a still tongue makes a wise head. I guess being a Vicar's Son and then a Nurse, you have to keep so many things totally in confidence. Good that you can trust Mrs Wisteria Pom and her OH, who is being naughty with his kidneys and being a little tiddly........smacked wrists from Matron.
B has already done the neighbours hubby's bracelet I think, there has been a lot of rustling and clipping and sorting going on. Now she wants a delicate anklet, more orders
Pepe is the same if he gets a scolding, he shouts a lot as if to say "sorry". Bless.
I am not surprised Miss Sleek has enough broom miles already, Pepe is a way behind, but he will catch up I am sure, then they can go arm in arm to their advanced broomstick tests. I think there are a series of tests, all adjudicated by Mr Potter. They might even have a visit to Hogwarts   on the train through the wall. How cool will that be.
I am sure Miss Sleek is enjoying being pillion, able to take in all the views. They get on very well with Jericat and Tomicat.
Glad you like the new name of our house, and I don't mind being Nurse Emanuel
The spell of protection is duly in place, we don't want visits from Lynx, beautiful as they are, some of the lovelies would be frightened silly.
Your hair looks lovely, nice pig tails, very Heidi
Well done with the fish, I am with you on the mucus some things about nursing were very unpleasant. :?
That's better, a little potter...........
It must be almost time for me to say good night. Hi to everyone else, leaving hugs as always.
Christine should be home or almost home, or fast asleep........... :animal_busy:
Pepe chose the picture for tonight, I love the little heart on the whisker.............take care xxxxAidan
