Afternoon to all, goodness me it is hot. :sun: managed to last until about 3 pm with the windows open, but now shut and AC on full blast. 28 degrees was a bit too much.

Hi Joan, glad you are having some warm weather. I think we are all in for some rain and storms over the next 24 hours. Hoorah.

How is your foot doing, is it feeling stronger now. I bet it gets a bit hot in the boot, but you can take it off for a cool down if needed.

I won't sit for too long, I feel cooler if I cam potter about, rather than sit.

Pepe has been for a fly round, early morning, when it was cooler. All three of them are :animal_busy: flaked out at the moment. Not sure if Miss Sleek was with him on Pendle, he was out and back in no time. They will no doubt chatter on the broomstick video link later.

The meerkats asked for the roof to be taken off today, they said it was just about warm enough :o

All the pools are in use, the seals are having a great time, the Okapi and Tapir's, Sloths and Warthogs are all keeping cool. The baby sloths do swim very well.

I cannot see the Bush Babies, not sure if they are in their hideout, or at Kath's. I think they are at Kath's, there must be more jammy dodgers in stock.

Johnny is on with two lady zoo keepers.

I hope everyone else is ok, I imagine Toni will have the chiller on later, Barbara too, if you still have the AC on loan?

I had better get some goodies out to eat and drink. Barbara will be along soon, for a cake.

Catch you later, keep cool. XXX Aidan

    Evening all

Running behind again, as usual. Aidan you are totally right it’s dreadfully hot here tonight and yes aircon is on full blast. Only problem is how much Diddicat hates it bless her.

She was out early doors with Pepe of course and Pendle is where they met this morning. This afternoon we had a 2 year-old in the house so she made herself scarce. I expect she was on the broomstick-line telling him all about it??

I think I know why Pepe chose the picture for last night bless him. It’s all about the whisker-touching. Bless them. Miss Slimkins is still calling him her hero and loving riding pillion. She is sure they will be able to go to Hogwarts as part of their assessment for their advanced test.

Mucus is pretty gross isn’t it? I can cope will pretty well all body fluids, but mucus…..shudder!!!!

Charley has been today her Gf’s GD is hanging on in there, but all family have arrived from everywhere. She thinks he is hanging on for her Nan’s and Charley’s gf’s birthday which is Thursday. So very sad.

Well-done Bill for the orders which are still coming in. An anklet eh? Nice idea.

I have been to check on all the animals. Refilled all pools and shut the Meerkats roof (at their request), storms imminent?? I might hang about and listen to Johnny ‘talking’ it really makes me smile.

That iced tea has gone down really well thanks I had two glasses. Went down well with a doughnut.

Joan I read we might get a storm during the night I hope so it’s so close! Lucy is doing really well and asks after your foot?

Love to all our missing friends – I’m sure Christine will be in soon and Kath. Carol and Barbara??? Mmmm…I hope all is well. Probably just toooooo hot!!

    Love

    Evening to one and all

Its been very nice weather here today, Mr T has been to the dentist today to have some fillings. need to have my teeth sorted out too but I need to get the money together first because I will need some taken out and then dentures and even on the NHS its still quite a lot to pay out, and I just cannot afford it at the moment as after my holidays I need my eyes retested as I have slight cataracts in both eyes and have to have then tested every year now. so I need to have money put by for that as well.

Toni yes I was a very proud mum on Sunday but also very proud of the rest of the group as well because the 4 of them that collected the met police award I have known and worked alongside for just around 22 or more years. two of them my daughter and one other also received medals and one other received and commendation from the commander so a good time was had by all. yes I did enjoy my cuddles with the bush babies. and have had plenty of rest have not done much over the last 2days.

Aidan I love Pepe's choice of picture so now we have 2 more broomstick flying pusskins more pusskins more mischief I guess. Yes very very proud at the awards on Sunday proud of them all. yes it is a shame :( about the photos as I would love to share them on facebook but that's how the organisation works i'm afraid. :? I did enjoyed my bushbaby cuddles yes they do enjoy a jammie dodger.

Joan certainly was a good day and one to remember on Sunday.

Well its time to have a little walk around before bed as knee has been painful today but its my own fault I forgot to take this mornings anti inflammatory only just noticed it as I took tonight's one   (what am I like) so that would be the reason why I guess.

    night all sweet dreams
    Stay positive always👍xx

    Evening to all,

Hope everyone is keeping as cool as possible - it has been silly hot today, about 28 here.

I thought you might have the AC on Toni. We have just turned ours off now at midnight. We are down to 19 degrees, which is just fine.

Tosca and Cookie take after Diddicat and don't like it, they normally go off to somewhere warmer   Pepe doesn't mind chilling out.

Miss Sleek was telling Pepe all about the "little person" who was in the house. Pepe was not impressed he said she did right to make herself scarce.
On the very rare occasion that a young child has been here, all three of ours kind of look, do a double take, then leave :lol:

There was a lot of chirruping and purring on the broomstick line, about the heart shaped whiskers, Miss Sleek wants one now, so don't be surprised if she cast a little spell on her whiskers :? Bless eh, they are so fond.

The ride around Pendle and all the little villages was enjoyed by both.

He is clocking up his broom miles now, so it should not be too long before they can apply for their advanced flying. I had a note come through the door, from Mr Potter, saying that there is definitely a part of the test that has to be taken at Hogwarts? I wonder what, Quidditch? In teams? Who knows.

I used to dread my stint on the chest wards, enough said, I was often :mrgreen:

A message from Christine, she has just arrived home, about an hour ago, safe and sound :) She will pop in today.

Yes, Bill has been busy all day really, trying out different things, some wire wrapping, finished the anklet bracelet. Next door might need a bracelet for her Grandson.

Bless GD, people often wait for a special occasion, it is very sad indeed.

Everything looks fine in the sanctuary, god idea to put the roof on the merrkats, they are not fans of rain at all. (there have been some nasty flash floods in Cornwall, washing roads away   ).

I think we are all in for some storms over the next 24 hours.

There are extra keepers on duty, so that the lovelies can be taken into their indoor enclosures, out of harms way. The warthogs too, they have a nice house, full of straw, which they sleep in.

Johnny Morris was really funny when he was talking to the animals. I used to love his programmes, with all the Lemurs, they were his favourites I think.

Good to hear that Lucy is doing well :)

I think a late night visit to the secret garden, it is always just the right temperature in there, well, it can be any season you wish for, so I might sit in the snow

Hi Carol So Mr to is all smiles after his visit to the dentist :) It is expensive, our dentist has been a private practice for many years now, but I have been going since the late 1980's and I trust him and his team completely.
We have to be mindful when there is a dentist appointment coming up.
I hope they can sort your teeth asap. Then your eye tests on a regular basis. Are they waiting until the cataracts are "ripe", before they will do anything? That is normally the case, unless you complain to your optician. It was the Optician who referred DIL to have his removed last year.

I bet you were super proud, having worked alongside your colleagues for 22 years, to see them receive awards and commendations.

That's fine, not doing much, we all need times when we take a break. Says me, who is the master of pottering

Yes, we have Jericat and possibly Tomicat, although I don't think he has made it onto a broomstick yet, he is not impressed with them  :? Miss Sleek will persuade I am sure.

Glad you enjoyed the Bush baby cuddles, they are very soothing. I think they are still at Kath's, probably snoring at the moment.

Ooops, forgetting pills, I do the same, then wonder why I am walking like Mrs Overall.:lol:

I hope everyone else is ok, Barbara, hope you are not melting. Kerrin will be sorting everything out at school, before going away. Christine is home and probably not sure what time of day it is for a little while :?
Charrisse, have you managed to get out to your group, I hope so.
    Elizabeth, sending hugs, as always.
That goes for everyone as you know.

Time for me to move. N Night all. Take care.

Oooh pastries and snoopy!! It was all snoopy when I was young :) Them were t' days!!

Carol I think it's very wrong that people are having to save for the dentist! I know we all have to be mindful about appointments, but honestly it is wrong same with opticians......grrr :x

I bet you were proud of your ex-colleagues too :D and you are good to have rested up properly now :) It's all we can do - wel that and remember to take our medication

    Aidan
thank you for the news about Christine I hope we get to welcome her home soon once she has recovered.

It got up to 27 last time I checked here yesterday and the aircon got us down to about 21 which was tolerable. Funny our cats aren't they? Miss Sleek's ears if she hears the aircon

I think quidditch is definitely part of the advanced broomstick test indeed and one of the reasons they catch voles and mice from their broomsticks. Practice. Sleek is hoping she and Pepe will be on the same team :)

If you think about it they have to be able to dodge and even catch things when flying so it makes sense sort of thinking on their broomsticks

Lucy reckons she can 'do' Sleek's whiskers into a heart with her straighteners apparently :?

Small people and cats. Definitely not a go-erm0908.gif This was Charley's gf's nephew so her bro could visit Grandad. I hope he doesn't die on her's and her Nan's birthday :?

As for chest wards  nooooo!!m0940.gif

Gosh Bill is fast! That anklet finished already? Go him! The G'son will love one men do love their bracelets these days especially the younger ones.

Johnny Morris is one of the good people to have come out of the 70's Be careful not to watch any episodes on YouTube else you never get off it!!

Let's hope Barbara gets on today and some of our other missing friends :)

    Love for now

    Hello, absentee here.

Health has been pretty bad with some respite here ad there so just didn't have the energy to keep up with the cafe. Facebook is a lot easier as you just scroll on through.

Still waiting for that hip op. I seem to hae got lost in the system and that is causing a lot of back ache, which restricts walking as you know.

At least I have cut down on painkillers now and only take them if I cannot sleep or I'm going out and about.

Had my hair done and very pleased with it too

Hope you are all well. I see Applerose has been on her travels.

How are you and your family Toni? I hope Barbara is behaving herself :D

Kath not seen how you are getting on. Hope the rituximab worked for you.

Joan, hope you Sue and Dos are well.

Aidan will be upto mischieve I expect.

    Love to you all

Hello Elizabeth, so sorry you have been suffering. Rituximab worked thank you. Should get another round about October. My back (or is it my hip, or sciatica) causes a lot of pain and I'm not sure the patches are doing it for me or not. Oh I'm happy to be the first to welcome you home. xxx

    Evening All

Not having a good day to day woke up this morning feeling really fed up and thinking why do I bother, each day is the same as the one before. I cannot point to any one thing to cause this. as so many annoying things going on in my life at the moment. also not helped by Mr T's seemingly disinterest in anything I say to him, so not much communication in this house at the moment. went to my knitting group today and everyone one seemed to be really. in little groups chatting and shutting others out. come home this evening to thudding and banging from our upstairs neighbours. so I shall not be sad to say goodbye to this day.

Aidan Lad you have found the store of lost days will have to go over to the secret garden and retrieve a few days. Mr T still has more work to be done on the teeth and then he will be having some dentures to fill the gaps where teeth have been taken out or broken over the years. it had all cost him £250 pounds, which is the reason I need to safe up as I cannot afford that at the moment I do have teeth that will need extractions and also so that will need filling but not having any problems at the moment so they can wait a bit. The cataracts are only very slight and last test last August they had not changed much so they say they are very slow progressing at the moment so of course they don't do anything at the moment. Yes I was sure proud of them. right about the meds I was wondering why some much pain last night until I discovered the mistake.

Toni yes I think its disgusting that people have to pay for the dentist but then it the same as glasses we have to pay for them too. yep rest and meds the most important of the those 2.

Barbara I have seen the photos on line they are beautiful just cannot make up my mind what ones of the photos of this I really want as even the 6x4 photos cost £8.15 each if only I could download I would then I would have them without the cost and put them on my camera memory card and take it down to the local photo ship and get them copied. at around £1.00 £1.50 each.

well must go as I need to get off this laptop and do some knitting
before bed will pop I again soon.

Aiden – you’ve got a shiny new smart boiler and Bill’s been on tv? Wow, that’s wonderful.

Kerrin, I bet you’ve been extra busy with the end of the school year coming up. Do you get the full 6 weeks off. Hope you have a great time in South Africa.

Carol , happy wedding anniversary. You’re off on a cruise. When do you go. Congratulations to your daughter and her division.

Kath, you’ve got new shoes? Hope they are comfy. Hope your ouchies have eased up.

Toni, I tried to look at link to Wimbledon but not available in my country. Hope you enjoyed it. And you’ve been to France. Hope you enjoyed it and were able to relax. How is Lucy?

Barbara, I saw you’ve had a letter saying they are going to build thousands more houses. It’s so sad isn’t it? I don’t understand why we need so many houses all of a sudden. You’ve been to Scarborough. Hope you had a good time. You’ve been taking pictures of iron men. Were they in lycra?

Joan, hope you and Sue and the doggies are enjoying your trips out together. How is your foot now?

Elizabeth, sorry your health has been bad. Hope you are feeling at least a a little better now.

I've been reading back on and off all day so will post more later. I got back home last night at midnight. It took 40 hours this time door to door. Got all my washing done and went out to get a few bits of shopping in. Other than that, I only pottered. I'm at work tomorrow but thankfully can go when I want to.

Joan I am doing really well at the moment thank you for asking. I hope the foot gets stronger and stronger as does Lucy xxx

Hi Carol Sometimes I have days like yours is today. I have no idea why. I am not broke. My kids are well. I have many good friends, but still I feel so down. Usually it passes for me over time I hope it will for you too ((()))

I'm glad you agree we shouldn't have to pay for dentist and glasses. So many go without because they can't afford it. I'm sure many have no teeth because of it! :x

Aidan the cats are indoors. No storm here yet, but it's so oppressive

Diddicat came over really early, but reckons she can't tonight so will get on to Pepe via her broomstick intercom tonight. Safety first.

I hope all is well with you Bill all pusskins and Mum and Dad

Hi Kath I am glad to hear the ritux helped you and hope it lasts a long time :)

Elizabeth!!! How lovely to see you!!! I am sorry you are still waiting for your hip I wish you lived near Wrightington they were great with Lucy and Barbara too.

We are all doing more or less ok....I have anew pain in my hip maybe or maybe in the sacroiliac joint we'll see.

I'm glad you have reduced your pain meds - well-done! I bet your hair looks great I am creeping mine shorter so Paul doesn't notice

How are the kids doing? Your Lucy? Dan etc...

    Lovely to see you :)

    Barbara
GD is 'asleep' with his eyes open...not able to speak or eat/drink. I am sure he is waiting for tomorrow - his wife and Charley's gf's birthdays. :?

I very much hope he lets go soon bless him :(

Are you still happy with your mattress?? I meant to ask as I have convinced Paul we need a new one.

    Love to everyone

    Toni xxx

    Ps Christine!! WELCOME HOME!!!!

We are all well Lucy too :)

    Missed you lots.

We can't wait to hear all about your visit and see photos too :)

Rest up for now 40 hours is WAY too much time travelling ((()))

Evening to all, gosh, it is SO humid, praise be for the AC machine. A teeny drop of rain, no storms :?

I seem to have a lot to catch up on so I will try and be more concise with my writings, or ramblings. Nice to see so many of us back in the fold :)

I loved Charlie Brown cartoons Toni, I liked Lucy, with her "Clinic" and Pig Pen with all the dust following him around.

I see that Christine has posted :) after a 40 hour journey, no way hose' that is a major length of time.

The temperature is not as high as yesterday, but the humidity is worse than I remember it being in New York, mid summer. Hence the machine is working and we are down to 22 at the moment, with Pepe sat on top of it :lol:
It is the humidity that creases me completely.

I bet Miss Sleeks ears go flat when she hears the AC go on. They are funny our puskins.

I am sure Miss Sleek and Pepe will be on the same team at Hogwarts, there has to be at least 10 voles in the net, within a set period of time, the voles will appear from nowhere. (we had a note from Mr Potter, it came down the chimney, which is odd as we don't have one  ).

That would be lovely if Miss Slimcea could do the heart on her whiskers, with her straighteners, bless her. Pepe will be most impressed.

How is GD, still struggling and holding on, there is always a reason I am sure of it.

Bill is going great guns with his jewellery, he has now booked in at one huge agricultural show, that covers the whole area, there is a marquee, that the lady in the village rents stalls out. He rang her tonight, we have met her a few times in the village. That is for September, then in October the smaller fair in the village hall. The big fair, she said several thousand come through the marquee   he broke into a sweat then. :o :? Well, might as well jump in at the deep end eh.

I see you missed a day Barbara, pop into the secret garden, they spare hours and days are in the shed, Carol and I are often in there, catching up on time.
Nice that you had your middle GD there, that's where the time went, but well worth it I am certain.

No AC, but a big brolly for the garden, well, it is a start  I am going to take a photo of the new scones, when we go on Monday (they had better be just as large, or there will be words with the boss).

It is a very surreal time when you are with someone who is at the end of life. I was not there when Dad or Mum passed, always when you have just got home or gone to do something. It bothered me for a long time, but, it is not in our control.

Hi there Elizabeth, me, mischief, no, never

Sorry that you have not been too good, don't worry about trying to keep up with the cafe, it goes on at a pace and reading back can be mind boggling to say the least.
FB is easier, as you say. Scrolling down.

I hope you are not lost in the system for your hip Op. Some chasing up maybe.
We do know how back pain reduces mobility, without a doubt. Sending lots of (())
It is good that you are in charge of your pain meds and take them when you need them.
Hair done, very nice too :)

Take care, it is lovely to see you

Hi Kath, you were there to send out your welcome home. Back, Hip, Sciatica, all cause their own range of troubles don't they. I am sure the patches do help as much as they can, as with all the pain dullers, they have their limits and we do tend to get used to them over time  Rock and a hard place.

Are the Bush babies with you, having cuddles? I cannot see them in the sanctuary......... :D

Hi Carol, sorry that you are not feeling up to par. I often wonder when we have had an up beat time, as you have had with the presentations and all the enjoyment of that, we can sometimes feel kind of, ok, now what. That feeling people often feel after all the excitement of Christmas, then it all goes suddenly quiet. Not sure if I am making any sense at all :?

I know it won't be helped by the lack of conversation - sending lots of positive vibes your way. People do form little groups, without realising it, leaving others wondering why they are on the outside looking in.
Think about the lovely cruise that you are going on soon :)

Dental care is so expensive even when it is NHS, it puts a lot of people off going for sure. As long as you are not in any pain or discomfort at the moment.

I guess they won't do anything with the cataracts until they are ripe, which is always a strange term I think.

Feel free to take some of the days back, there are plenty of them in the shed.

It is a shame that you cannot download the photo's and then get them printed out, that is quite a lot for a 6 x 4 print

Hi Joan, it will help if you can take the boot off at times, I am sure it is uncomfortable without the support. It will get stronger, without a doubt
Not too long before you take the boot back, August will be upon us before we know it.

Hope you have had a good day, able to get out and about, with no torrential rains or storms.

Hi Christine, welcome back :) You are duly presented with the gold medal of travelling, for 40 hours door to door   All credit to you.

Bills jewellery was on tv, on the wall of fame, he has yet to appear on air :)
The new boiler is wonderful, SO much better than the old one.

A shame you did not get to see Wimbledon, we were all glued to it and sharing out thoughts on who was in and who was out.

More tennis starts on Monday :) total addicts we are.

I am sure the Iron men were in Lycra, steady away now. Barbara was in the middle of the road with her camera :lol::lol:

You have done really well to get your laundry done and do some shopping as well. I would be fit for nothing. Make sure you have a lie in and go to work when you are ready, no rush.

Hi again Toni, good that Miss Sleek is indoors, no flying when there are electrical storms about, even on a magic broom.

They were chatting on the broomstick intercom at nap time. The broom comes out of the cupboard when Pepe needs it. Then it puts itself away.

As you will have seen, Bill has two fairs booked in, so he will be super busy. We are off to Hobbycraft today, with Mum n Dad, he has some things to stock up on and then it will be Costa, for lunch :)

Right, I must move, I have already had three potters so far. We had to bring the AC tube in, the mesh had slipped and the ceiling was festooned with little flies

All the lovelies are doing just fine. Dr Doolittle and the Super Vets are on tonight, so they are in good hands.

Oh, forgot to mention, Niece rang, the IT job at the University near them, was only temp, they have been so impressed she has now got a permanent position, with a very good salary, SO pleased for her.

Everyone take lots of care, leaving hugs galore. XXX Aidan

Waffles Aidan thank you very much :)

Is it 10 voles per team then? If it is Miss Slimkins could do that in a flash she is the best vole catcher we know and Pepe probably only needs to catch one. He can now she says, but has to avert his eyes.....

Yes indeed the AC machine makes her ears go very flat and her face looks rather cross. Unusually for her she came in first thing and dropped her soaking mackintosh sou'wester and galoshes in a puddle. She is not impressed by the rain, but at least she got to see Pepe :)

Oh I see why  her 'heart whisker' fell out in the rain :( bless.....

Charley's gf's GD is still here though neither awake nor asleep eyes not totally closed and hardly able to speak. It's her's and her Nan's birthday today so maybe he will let go later.....desperately sad :( I think some do 'go' when we have nipped out. It's like they know sometimes.

sfl look! New smilies!!! Thanks Mods :D fsmile fsmile

We have craft fayre's in our Church too. Advice is - make more small 'cheaper' things so people can afford them less of the pricier stuff. Go Bill I think he's amazing! You will have to be there too admiring the jewellery in support :D

I have nipped into the zoo to check up on them all....looking good it is Meerkats chattering about the stuff on the roof (rain) not impressed.

No pools in need of filling.

    Blush having a shower :D

I'll say a quick hello to Joan e010.gif

and to Kerrin who might be in soon :)

    Love to everyone else :D

    Evening all

I am very annoyed today I ordered a small sewing machine from Hobbycraft on Monday, had an email Wednesday saying it had been shipped that day this morning I get another email from Royal Mail saying it would be delivered today so I stayed in all morning Mr T popped out about 11 and said he would be back in about an hour and a half, he duly arrived home just after 12.30 so that I could pop out and yes you guessed it I got back home around 3.30 no parcel had been delivered, by 4.00pm I rang them to find out what time they stopped delivering, was told 6-00pm . Yes you can guess what comes next no parcel delivered by 6.00pm :x :x :x . Hoping it now arrives tomorrow whilst at least one of us are in.

I am ok today Joan thank you hope you are not doing to badly. The pain in your foot when the boot come off may be because it has been supported for so long by the cast then the boot that it is still a bit week it will get stronger hopefully sooner rather than later.

Applerose We are off on the cruise on 6th of August for 2 weeks.

Toni I'm ok today the feeling has passed. just mad that my parcel has not been delivered today. thank you for the hugs.

Aidan Congratulations to your niece on getting a permanent job. Hope you enjoyed Costas and Bill got the things he wanted
Have visited the shed and taken a day back and I have sent you a day too. on its way as I type , am not in any pain with the teeth at the moment but do have a couple of broken ones that need treatment. Am feeling a lot better today I think Mr T got the message yesterday morning when I was very quite as when I met him up with him after his bible class at lunch time he was quite chatty. and was ok during the evening too. I think I need my holidays to hurry up. And yes the bush babies came over last night think the knew I was fed up so they have taken up residence hear at the moment they say they are going back to the zoo tomorrow.

Barbara unfortunately the photos are protected so no you cannot copy them expect it is so that you purchase the ones that you want.
and your right the fed up feeling dose just hit you every now and then i'm fine today.

Kath Yes the bushbabies are with me they are going back to the zoo tomorrow so they say. :D

Just tried to track my parcel again and it now says that the reference number has not been recognised so will ring up in the morning to find out what is happening.

well it now time for a little potter as the joints are complaining.
so night all sweet dreams. love the new smiles we needed this one fsmile a couple of weeks ago I hope to need these schair sdrink in a couple of weeks time. sfl0
    Stay positive always👍xx

Evening to everyone - oh it is nice to be comfortable and not in a wilting heap. Much cooler, happy bunny :)

You are very welcome Toni, I don't think we have had waffles for some time. I should do a healthy option breakfast, then again, no, this is the cafe world, so we can eat what we like

I think it is 10 voles per team, of course they appear and disappear at random, with Mr Potters magic, so, unless you get a direct hit with the net, they vanish  I am sure Miss Sleek will soon have that one sussed, but Pepe, I am not so sure. He would have to concentrate.
I think if Miss Sleek can hypnotise him, to thinking that each vole is a piece of roasted chicken, then we are on to a winner.

Poor Miss Sleek must have flown through some bad weather and arrived very early. Mind you, he was waking me up well before alarm time, so he had obviously just come in.
She was in quite a state over her missing heart whisker, but Pepe said he consoled her with the early morning fly through the woods.

I can just imagine her ears being flat, they do look funny when they do that. Cookies ears go flat when she yawns :lol:

How is GD doing, it is so sad to see loved ones like that. Dad was the same, you want to help, you want to make things better, but you cannot. I have had to ring relatives to tell them the sad news, on many occasions, only minutes after they have left the ward.

The new Smilies are really nice, many thanks to our mods. All the conversation about the heat and a fan arrives, just in time.

Bill is doing much more of the eye candy, reasonably priced jewellery, then some higher end, as in precious gems and solid silver, cabouchons, like the ones I have shown on here.

It is really exciting, to say he only started making things a short time ago and had never done it before. I am amazed with the lovely items. I will go to the fairs, but maybe only for the morning, I cannot stand in one spot for any length of time and will have to potter. Mum n Dad said they would come and bring me home as and when. I will certainly be admiring and encouraging people to part with their money 8) 8) :D

Oh Bless, the meerkats don't like rain at all, things falling from the sky.

All the other lovelies are fine, they have been enjoying some of the fresher weather, even the warthogs were happy not to be up to their necks in mud.

Blush looks very fluffy after the shower :D

Thank you, our Niece was super excited and over the moon, she has been working part time in various IT jobs, ever hopeful of a full time position again.

Hi Barbara - that is right, we are all here to listen and natter to, we all look out for each other and help where we can :)

So you are going to be a laser gun police lady, way to go 8) If you got one of those big water pistols and put a yellow box round it, that would look quite convincing. Then pop to the fancy dress shop and get a police outfit. Then again, we don't want you arrested for impersonating a police officer

I know you look forward to a nice cake, just as much as I enjoy hunting down the best ones of the day :)

You would be more than welcome to come along to the fairs :) Who said Christmas? :? :? He is busy away, chain mail bracelets in dual metals, silver and gold plate, they look really nice.

Of course the weather would change, I guess it would have done the same if you went out and bought an AC unit. I won't be putting ours away just yet, it is here, by my side, ready to go.

I bet you had fun with Niamh and her Sister, nice that they play well together - tennis, very good choice.

Hi Joan, so you are now the convent, how charming. Kind of the lady to ask what time Mass would be. :?
Things do take longer as we get older, without a doubt. Hope you Sue and the doggies are all ok

Hi Kath, it is very good to see everyone at home again :)

I think the bush babies will be with you later today, Carol has commandeered them at the moment (there must be a supply of jammie dodgers.). They are heading back to the sanctuary today, so if you are quick and get some treats, they will be there for a snuggles and cuddles.

So you were the Health Center lol. With that and Joan and Sue being the Convent.......:lol: We have had people wanting pizza orders some time ago. :?

So the shoes are good but the socks are digging in, oh dear. B always leaves about an inch of sock spare at the end of my feet, so that when the shoes go on, the socks are just about right and don't dig in.

Hi Carol, We could have got you one of the sewing machines from Hobbycraft, that is where we went today, it is so annoying when deliveries do not turn up and then you cannot find them on the tracking site.
Lets hope it turns up today.

Glad that you are feeling better today, these feelings do just happen upon us, it seems to be part and parcel of OA and RA and certainly it is part of having heart disease. I have days where I feel as if I won't make it through, very odd, but my cardio said it is perfectly normal.

Good that Mr T was chatty and amiable. It will be lunch today and then coffee I would imagine, for some knitting and chatting.

I am sure you will love your holiday cruise and feel refreshed and relaxed as you waft to new destinations each day.

Kerrin I hope you are ok and all ready for off at the week end.

Everyone is off on their holidays.............

We went to Hobbycraft, we took Mum n Dad (Mum was pretty weary today). B wanted some supplies and storage boxes, then we had lunch at Costa, then to Sains for some shopping, then the vets for Pepe's food, then Drs for Mum's insulin........that was the day almost done.

Oh we had our hair cuts on Wednesday, I am now allowed to vacuum for a short time, under supervision, which is a step up from sweeping at least. ( did a good job this time and no ooops moments around the ears ).

An at home day today and Saturday, maybe pop out on Sunday for a few bits. It will be nice to catch up with some pottering, when it is so hot, you just cannot be bothered to fuss.

I had better move, I will just go and find out what if for breakfast. Everyone take lots of care, love to all. XXX Aidan

I think Carol is dreaming of her cruise

A nice light omelette for me this morning I think :) Thank you very much Aidan :D Mmmmm..... absolutely no healthy options required here - never

If anyone can cheer Miss Sleek up when she's upset it's Pepe  I've never heard any discatgreements between them have you? the heart can be made again fsmile

Vole practise was on this morning again early even though it was still quite wet :? Miss Slimkins is really hoping she can help Pepe catch at least one because she thinks Mr Potter is quite strict about hypnotism :?

She has located a virtual game you might catch his doing online....it's a vole desensitisation programme.

What about when the ears go upright and sort of together when they are contemplating getting cross or you are not doing something they want? So cute :)

Go Bill plenty of the slightly cheaper stuff, but some lovely higher end stuff and he will likely get a few commissions out of it too :)

Charley's gf's GD is still here!! he made it to their birthdays, but I forgot the bigger complication! They are/were in the process of completing their house sale for a flat in an old people's complex. Not sure he is fit to sign the contracts. He is barely awake, can't speak. We shall have to see what solicitor says after all the provisional date is 27th  Oh dear me :? :? :?

Hair looks good! vacuuming eh? Promotions all round :D I think your niece deserved the luck of finding the job then made her own luck by working hard.

Carol that's a bit naughty you guarding the house all day for a non-existent parcel and you'll have to do the same today  My fingers are crossed it comes early about 10.00 :)

I am glad the feeling passed as they usually do and you are back on form.

The bush babies said they were comfy at yours, but have behaved and gone home now.

    Hols soon :sun:

Kath :) I think the bush-babies display serious cupboard love. they are back in the zoo ATM, but I bet if they hear you've had a supermarket delivery or been shopping they will be back

It s lovely we are all here again, but Carol is off soon and Kerrin sooner I think.

    Roll on October then :)

Joan how funny!! They think you are the convent!!! Our craft fayre is much later in the year my sister might bring some of her weaving along. Is the heating really behaving??

Barbara have you made your 'speed camera' yet? If it's cardboard don't use it today will you

The mattress is still good? That's useful. the ones you originally used though would have had much more use wouldn't they? So I think they might just do us :) Thank you for the review!!

I don't think poor GDad is getting much time alone :( By rights I am pretty sure he shouldn't be here bless him. I hope he passes easily when the time comes...I'm sure he will because he's almost unconscious now.

Sounds like you need Niamh's big sis every time she comes. You can give the big sis a break every now and then  bless them much less tiring for you. Tennis racket and soft ball is a good idea too.

Onwards and upwards for me - water-change for the fish this morning.

    Love to everyone
