Hi Barbara yes it is so sad, but he was in pain and as you said the pain is with those left behind:(

The Emus do chase me so I'd blame them I think they like to watch us running around like idiots!!

I love hobby craft too I could spend far to much time and money there

Toni, very sad time for Charley's GF's family. sfl

I'm happy the Bush babies have all gone home. I don't want to be arrested for Bush baby rustling!!!

Afternoon to all, a blustery day here, with some rain and a lot more forecast - perfect for my pottering and fussing, dryer and washer all busy away, wind howling through and B said it is freezing :lol:

So sorry to hear about GD. On their Birthday's too, I bet he was waiting for that time. Sadness and often a sense that the person is no longer struggling and is at Peace. He will be watching over without a doubt.

Wonder what will happen about the house sale, I assume it will be quite straight forward ? Hugs to all ((())) and my condolences.

Hope you enjoyed the omelette and yes, there is no need for any healthy options :D

No, Pepe and Miss Sleek have not had any discatagreements so far. Even when Pepe flew into the fir trees and she laughed out loud - she did help him in the end, once she had composed herself.:lol:

It was an early vole catching session, no idea what time he vanished on his broomstick. He seems pleased when he got up, all fussy and happy to eat whatever was on offer  :? I wonder if he did catch a vole, we will have to check with Miss Sleek.
I am sure he will be using the vole desensitisation programme, if Mr Potter thinks there has been hypnosis, they could both fail :o:o

Yes, we have the upright ears and then what we call the pig ears, when they go forward when they have seen something, or are a bit startled.:lol:

Bill is on with filling up his stock, 5 bracelets this morning of his own design and more this afternoon. I keep making T ( I had a major reshuffle of the mugs the other day, they didn't drop, but I sent them all skittling around in the cupboard) B said I will have a cuppa, if there is anything left to drink out of   :lol::lol:
Hobby craft is a very addictive shop, there is SO much to see and everything under the sun and more besides.

Promotion all round, I can now vacuum and Niece was super pleased, well deserved too, after all her hard work over the years.

Hope the fish tank water change goes well, it is quite a big tank from what I remember.

The bush babies are gone already, so I think Kath must have been shopping for Jammie Dodgers. They can smell them from miles away.

Hi Barbara, glad it is cooler with you as well. After the other two days, it is fleeces off, fleeces on, fans all on, fans off...........I am more than happy with this temp.

Breakfast can always be followed by vanilla slices, if they are there, it is rude not to try them :)
The cruise ship looked lovely, all lit up, they seem to come to life at night, with all the lights. I bet Carol cannot wait.

Bill is enjoying his making and designing, happy now he has a big storage set, with three big drawers in, a plastic one, that he can just pick up and take. All the creations are going into anti tarnish bags, to keep them spick and span.

I am quite looking forward to it, it is a long time since I went to a big show. There is all sorts, from sheep, to cattle, horses, many tents, flowers, cakes, lots of judging..........

The pick and mix stones etc are really good, for the fashion jewellery. He always gets a tub or two and he is already running out of jump rings, I think 700 came the other day

Do we have Emu's in the sanctuary? I never knew. They must have arrived with Johnny - yes, they are there, in a big field with a high fence. I could not count them, they were all having a mad half hour and running like the clappers. :o

Have you found a police uniform yet?

Hi Joan, I hope you have a lovely lunch out, what's your favourite?

    Sorry your post vanished.

Carol will have been out for lunch with Mr T and should be at her knitting circle, drinking coffee :) Dreaming of being on board ship.

Kerrin, should be on her last day at school and then getting ready for off tomorrow. Jericat and Tomicat will be looked after by Pepe and Miss Sleek. Frequent visits :)

Hi Kath, oh dear, the Bush babies are on their way back to you, they have a whiff of something sweet, so look out for them. If you have run out of Jammy Dodgers, ask Miss Sleek and she will magic a packet or three.

My podiatrist always said wear my socks inside out, to stop the seams sticking in. I am going on Monday for my feet to be attended to, they are more than ready.

Right, better move and do a little more pottering. Last load of washing now being dried :)

Love to all, take care, will be back later. Time for T me thinks.

Oh look at that tea :)

    YUM thanks Aidan :D

Pepe DID catch a vole - almost 2!! He can keep them in the net, but with his eyes closed ATM :)

Miss Slimkins adores him whatever, but neither of them wants to fail their advanced test. So he will do the desensitisation course.

I like the pig ears!! I think we'll call them pig ears now!!

The weather is atrocious here so it's a no-fly zone now so they were right to practise early today. They will assess tomorrow's weather early.

I think the house will need to be in Nan's name now...and then it should be able to go ahead I hope all solicitors will do their best to expedite matters. I feel so sad, but yet again someone waiting for a special day. I'm not sure Kat's gf's birthday will be happy for a long time though :?

Bill is doing his own designs now? Well done him. He needs to get some stock ready for the craft fayre :)

The fish tank is big I now have to change two buckets full instead of one, but Tia is my happy helper so it's easy enough :)

How have you missed the emus??? Maybe they only chase women?? :?

Kath I am sure no-one would arrest you for Bush-baby rustling!! they love it at yours (and Carol's!!) so you can't be blamed if they 'velcro' to you fsmile

Charley's gf's GD was suffering so to be honest it is a blessing he is no longer in pain :( Thank you ((()))

    Love to everyone

    Evening all

The parcel delivery saga continues after told yesterday afternoon spoke to them this morning after tracking update tells me the it had been returned to the central incoming centre for the area but as the date that hobbycraft had paid for was today so yes I will get it today. Well Mr t and I still went for our weekly dinner out so the house was empty for all of 1 and a half hrs he gets home no parcel no card so he telephones me to say well they have called or left a card. on my Arrival home after my usual Friday afternoon coffee with my friend still no parcel so ring them up to be told it was human error it was deliver to wrong delivery office so was sent back. I by this time had got really annoyed as I had been told something entirely different this morning. I was absolutely seething by this time of course I wasn't able to speak to manager. :x :x so I rang Hobby craft as told to do by post office he rang them and they have told him it could come tomorrow or it could possibly not come till Monday I don't think the hobbycraft guy was very impressed by his tone of voice when he rang me back well sorry unless they call before 9.15 in the morning or after around 3pm they will not find anyone in as we will be at the church open morning and having a bite to eat out after and will have to try again on Monday.

Aidan Those bush babies are being very naughty keep escaping what are we going to do with them. but they so love their cuddles and jammy dodgers the naughty things. perhaps the puskins can magic an anti escape field around the zoo to keep them in. love the cruise ship picture 2 weeks to go. it all getting exciting now first hols then back home for 2weeks and mr t is off to holy island for an week. and I will be off for a week of little people cuddles in Margate and when we both return it is puss cat visiting time. Glad Bill is doing well with his jewellery making. yes feeling better now except for the continuing parcel saga

Toni a very sad time for Charley's GF's family indeed.

Kath I see the bushbabies have gone again are they back with you

Barbara yes very annoying even more so after today's goings on as written at the start of post so heavens knows when I will get it now. the bush babies did go home but are on the loose again now maybe at Kaths

Well its that time for me little potter around again and then take me last tablets o the day ect

    night all sfl2

Well, it is now morning, albeit early doors. Still blowing a gale and raining a fair bit too. A no fly zone at present, so pepe has sent a picture from 5 mins ago, sat on MY gel cushion, on top of the AC, giving his best coy look, to the lovely Miss Sleek :)

    20170722_003838_zpsf8mdtatd.jpg

That afternoon T looked so good, I did help myself and everything just reappeared - magic.

I thought he was peas above stick, catching a vole, he can have some extra mayo today. He has been full of it, lots of shouting and carpet gliding.

He will persevere with the desensitisation course, so that he can actually look

Glad you like the pig ears, we have always said that about the puskins, look, he or she has got their pig ears on.:lol:

I think the weather is going to be a little more tranquil today, having said that we have thunderstorms forecast for the late afternoon, no we haven't, they have vanished now. the weather people cannot forecast one day ahead, it changes every time you look at it.
I am sure they will meet up at some point, I think in the secret garden, for vole catching lessons.

I am sure the Solicitors will do their best to get things sorted as soon as possible at such a difficult time, I guess they are used to such things. No, Birthdays will hold very mixed emotions. I am just the same, as Mum passed away on New Years Day, so the past 2 new years have been rather strange. ((()))

Bill is certainly stocking up, he has had a break this evening, from making and doing. The fayre is not until the 9th September, so he has time to get everything ready.

Glad Tia was to hand for helping out with the fish tank waters.

I had no idea we had Emu's, I saw an empty paddock, but there was nothing in sight. Come to think of it, there was someone running about over at the far side, but who is was, I have no clue.

I will certainly go and have a look see.

The Bush Babies do love Kath and Carol, well, they love us all, but they will always go and give cuddles to those who need them.

Hi Carol - goodness, you are not having much luck with the parcel from H Craft. I would be fuming too. There is nothing worse than hanging about, waiting for something.
I do hope it comes today, early on. As you say, you are out at Church and then having some lunch.
Would they leave it with a neighbour? or just try and re deliver on Monday? Our Postie puts things in our garden storage box if we are out.

I don't think the anti escape would work with the bush babies, they have their own little bit of magic, so they can go at any moment, to offer cuddles and snuggles to those in need.
Glad you liked the pic of the cruise ship, I could not decide which one to put on, I was just staring at the pictures, they all looked wonderful, all lit up. I know you cannot wait, it is tangible.

So Mr T is off to Holy Island, I love love love Holy Island. St Aidan founded the Monastery there. I have some pictures of me, stood with the Statue of St Aidan :)
You go the other way to Margate, for lots of cuddles and hugs with your family.
Then pus cat visiting, of course, it will be that time already.
Wow, you are going to be busy bees.

I must move again, it is after 1am and I need a little potter.

Christine, the pictures you took in Australia are all wonderful :) Hope you had a steady day at work.

Kerrin will be ready for off, take lots of care and safe journeys.

Hi to everyone else, leaving hugs and love. Take lots of care XXXX Aidan

    Morning everyone.

School is out for the summer, such a good feeling. Been a busy few days. Was really tired after visit to Olympic Stadium and athletics on Monday, led training course on Tuesday. Wednesday was graduation which was lovely. Yr 6 has been a challenging class but will miss them. Then yesterday was a tough day with lots of farewells including our head teacher who is moving schools. Going to
Miss him. Also had the year 6 teacher off school on the last day, wasn't impressed as it was a very poor show and I had to take the class!

Enough about school, I fly to SA later today and haven't even started packing! A bit apprehensive about the longer flight as my back is hurting more and more when I'm inactive for periods of time.

Jericat is excited about the upcoming visits from her new broom-mates and whizzing around the house. Tomicat is non too pleased and in his normal grumpy mood.

Enough about me. Hope everyone is well, not too achy, enjoying cake and having a good Saturday. Sorry not to mention everyone individually. Always an information overload when I haven't been on for s few days.

I hope you are having safe journey Kerrin :) Pepe and Daisycat will look after your two don't worry.

You have had a very busy time I hope you will rest up once you get there.

AS for your back, I usually take tablets BEFORE the flight and once you are airborne they let you move around anyway so take advantage of that. Have a lovely time ((()))

Ah Aidan :( New Years day will always be hard for you now. :?

Let's hope the solicitors can sort things for Nan ASAP. I have two large hole already dug for two special roses to keep them safe for her as she won't have a garden in the flats, but she will have lots of friends and neighbours and bingo and the like.

Pig ears is great and spot on!

Of course Pepe is proud as punch for catching one vole (nearly two). He's like one of my friends who can catch a sp***r, but has to run and throw the glass outside, but he can catch them :D

They were out early due to forecast now the rain is moved to 11am....then it will be again later. As you say they change it every time I look!!!

The secret garden is often where the pusskins go when they need guaranteed good weather :) Miss Sleek did her whisker in a heart again with her straighteners :animal_busy: They will be doing extra lessons for Jericat and Tomcat-cheering while their Mum is away.

Bill has plenty of time until September I agree. No rush :)

Be careful around the emu paddock...it might be just me (and Barbara), but they do like to chase us

I love the fairy night night thanks you.

Oh dear me Carol  That is a total farce! It's just not on having to wait forever like that  If I know I won't be in the postie puts ours in the greenhouse.

Busy day or you and Mr T then today I hope it goes well.

Oh gosh yes! Hols then holy island then visiting the kidddies then you get to choose a PUSSKIN!!! :animal_busy: :animal_busy: :animal_busy:

    So exiting :)

Thank you I am sure the family will pull together and support each other :(

I'll wave to Joan as she'll no doubt be in soon...

Is photobucket still playing up? Does anyone know?

I am going to brave logging in now fingers crossed.

I hope mum and Dad are well today :)

Thanks everyone for the relaxing holiday vibes and to the pusskins for watching my two.

The journey is long. Just over 24 hrs door to door. Not flying direct but via Turkey so 4 hrs to Istanbul, 10 hrs to Johannesburg then 4-5 hour drive. Never had back problems before but have noticed hurting more and more when I sit for too long!

Gatwick is heaving. Far too many school children for my liking!

    A new car, how exciting.

    Evening all

Still do not have the parcel deliverey was attempted today but yes you guessed it just 5 mins after we went out but at least it is now I the right delivery office which is quite close to where we live. so it will be collected on Monday Morning. I am certainly not asking for redelivery as the delivery office it is at now is so close to me. what had happened before was it was sent to the wrong delivery office, We had this before with our official change of name certificates at the start of the year.

Aidan Its the cuddles and the jammy dodgers that do it with the bushbabies and of course they love both. yes the parcel business is a pain but hopefully all will be sorted by Monday. fuming is not the word I feel like using right now. unfortunately most of the other people in the other 5 flats are usually out most of the day and unfortunately there is no safe place to leave it. but as it is in the right delivery office that is near us we can pick it up. oh so we have magic puskins and magic bush babies we have a bit of a problem there I think. Yes Mr T likes the isolation on his own there when he did it before wen he was on his course for lay pastor he was only allowed a note book and study books to keep him occupied no laptops newspapers phones had to be turned off
but he has arranged this one on his own I think so don't know weather that is the same this time. not my thing really so he goes on his own. he seems to enjoy it. I prefer me Little people cuddles. yes the next few weeks will be very busy.

Kerrin Have a great time and enjoy your travels.

    Joan I'm sleeping fine.

Barbara as above in this post it did come today but 5 minuets after we went out this morning.

well must move the joints are complaining I have sat too long

    night all sweet dreams sfl2

Evening to all, I must pop into the secret garden summerhouse and find this afternoon's hours, because they all went.  I didn't even get chance to put out afternoon tea. Apologies.

Kerrin will be well on her way to SA now, I see that school is now out for summer, bet you are so glad to have a break, but will miss your pupils too.
Oh and the Headteacher moving on as well, it will be all change.

Not good that the year 6 teacher didn't turn up leaving you to take the class, a poor show indeed.

I hope the flight is as comfortable as possible, sending hugs from the Bush Babies and all of us, for pain to go away.

Tomicat and Jericat will be having fun, Miss Sleek and Pepe will make sure of it :)

Let us know when you are there and hoping you have a wonderful time. I am sure you will.

Hi Toni, yes, New Years Day is always a bit surreal. :(

I tried to upload the picture that Pepe sent to Miss Sleek and it says upgrade you account on the cafe page, they seem to try every trick to make you pay. Anyway, I cannot share any more pictures, I have reached the limit.  Here is the link to the picture that Pepe wanted to send his beloved. I am sure Miss Sleek will be all coy :D

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XfJ0BAla5r9Ynvfyx7NsiQxyWijSX6q9bQ

I will use Google Drive now, it is far more reliable, just means clicking the link that's all.

Your friend does very well, catching the unmentionable sp----s shudder. I just freeze and shout for B. What a big ninny eh.

Pepe is very pleased with his vole catching now. They were out early, the weather is all up and down, boiled one minute, cool the next. Rain forecast for tonight then thunder for Sunday. So maybe a no fly zone, to be safe. I know the brooms would not let them come to any harm, but if Pepe was in a thunderstorm on his broomstick he would pass out, as we well know.

He likes her new heart whisker, bless her, she does like to look her best at all times. Not like Mr Scruffkins, who turns into a rag rug when he is carpet gliding.:lol:

They will both enjoy their trips to London and the secret garden, to meet up with Jericat and Tomicat.

Hi Joan, hope you have managed to nip out in between the showers, do the doggies have rain macs?

We are ok, just seem to loose all my time at the moment, just one of those days I guess.

Hi Barbara - no, fortunately I didn't break a single mug or cup, I just sent them flying around the shelf and managed to stop them falling out.:lol: B always knows where I am, from the noise of me dropping things or bumping into things, like door frames !! You would think I would know where they are, they are big enough.

B is sorting out things for displaying his jewellery, some nice cut out trees, with birds on, they look very smart, for hanging bracelets etc. He has had a less frantic day, not making much today, selling a cabouchon necklace to next doors friend, who we haven't seen for ages. So that was good.

Don't worry about destroying the display, cakes are for eating. Worry not about brain fade either, we all share a common bond I think, with moments where nothing seems to make any sense whatsoever. I blame the pills / pain / etc.

I hope you enjoyed the pastries before you went in the garden, who is wilhemeena doing? Well I trust.

Mum seemed brighter today, when they popped in with the croissants, they were quite late from their shopping, so that took us to lunch time, then we went out front, neighbour popped out and we had a good natter, she has been poorly with a bad chest so has kept away in case we caught it.
It is south facing out front, so I was irradiated with the sun, so had to come in after a while.

Then she popped round with her friend, who bought us a lovely evergreen plant for the garden, Eunonymous I think it is. That was very kind of her. They she bought one of B necklaces for a present. More nattering, then it was T time and nap time.

Those cars are really good for wheelchair access aren't they Toni, have seen them used quite a lot, because of the height of the roof etc.

Oh I see Kerrin's journey is 24 hours door to door, not quite as bad as Christine's, but more than long enough to give the fittest person a bad back ache. Sending even more hugs.

Only flown from Gatwick once, that was with Freddy Laker, does anyone remember him and the lockheed tri stars. First trip to the USA was on one, it was great (those where the days when I thought flying was just amazing).

Teeming with children, oh dear, I would be in panic mode I think.

The lilies look lovely Barbara, I have seen them on Ideal World, they grow to something like 8 foot tall. beautiful.

Hi Carol, that is typical, just after you go out, the parcel turns up. At least it is nearby and you can pick it up at your leisure on Monday.

I can imagine there were teething issues when you did the name changing.

Yes, magic bush babies, very necessary when cuddles are needed in emergencies. They adore biscuits, dodgers, custard creams, chocolate hobnobs.........:)

I am sure Mr T will have a wonderful time, please send my regards to Holy Island, I do love Northumberland. No phones, no computers, mmmmm, maybe I would not get on without them, but, it is the perfect place for peace and quiet, (better when the tide is in and no tourists)

You can enjoy your cuddles with the little ones, down on the coast.

You have your time mapped out for a good few weeks.

Phew, am I caught up, I feel like I have not been on for days.

Hi to Christine, hope you are recovering from your travels, sometimes jet lag can hit you a few days after getting home. I have no idea how the cabin crew cope with flying all over the world. I have enough trouble knowing what day it is anyway

    Right, I must move myself.

Love to everyone else, Elizabeth, Charrisse, Mig ( who has hit her target weight I see).

Not sure how many pics I can post, so will put one more on then do breakfast on another. Take care all. Love XXX Aidan

I thought I would have a little ride round the sanctuary and see all the lovelies ( are warthogs lovely, of course they are) :? I think we have baby warthogs, Mother was very protective and would not let me peep. I wasn't going to argue

I went into the field with the Emu's and they just stood and looked at me :? :? No sign of them wanting to chase me around. Maybe it was just luck. I know Barbara and Toni have had the run in with them.

I think the Bush babies are with Kath, either that or on their way to Carol's.

Blush is somewhere in the bamboo, I can see it moving.

The Tapir's Okapi, Llamas Alpacas Meerkats Giraffes Lambs piggies Cows Sloths Seals are all ok too. Goodness, we have enough to fill an Ark.

Oh my goodness how do you manage to post so often and so much! Some of these posts are like essays! My brain fog just can't keep up.

First of all so sorry to read about Charley's gf's Grandad and on her birthday too

Carol hope your 'lost' parcel has now arrived (which is a pain to wait in for) and also that life is a bit less humdrum and challenging.

Holidays have now arrived. It's been a difficult term, what with my illness and Dan having to walk to transport (a whole new set of problems) and Lucy going downhill and not eating, I had to do something and, as you know, I was having lots of rows with 'him indoors' about her schooling, plus threats of fines from the local council so I finally made the decision to remove her.

I see you have a secret garden! Now that sounds perfect. Is it hidden behind a ivy clad door like in the book?

    Take care all
    Elizabeth xxxx

Afternoon to one and all. Warm, but just enough breeze to stop me wilting.

Toni, you are not alone with the platform that is photoB. I am trying, in vain, to delete my account, enough with them and their adverts and stalling website.

Crashed you pc and you lost your post, I might have said rude words, even though it is a Sunday.

As long as you have a Google account and email etc. You can use Google Drive, both on your mobile and on your PC, it backs up all your pictures automatically, then you can see your pics and get the link, to share on forum's etc. Very easy and it works :) which is always a plus.

Glad Miss Sleek has the photo of Pepe, he will be pleased. I don't think they have been out today, there is a lot of sleeping at the moment.

Hi Joan, so you are the Health Center too, wow, you are busy, with being a Convent and a medical center all in one.

Hope you and Sue and the doggies are having a pleasant Sunday.
Glad you had a nice time out yesterday :)

Hi Barbara - it is quite warm, the same tomorrow too, 20 ish. That is ok if there is a breeze.

Google Drive is really good, it saves all the pictures you take ie on your phone etc and uploads them to Google cloud (your account). I am more than fed up with photo B. I cannot even delete the account, the button won't work !! I have deleted all my images though, so it is empty :)

It is good that we are only a few doors from Mum n Dad, nice to be at hand if needed, we could virtually shout from the back door to each other :lol:

I thought B was having a rest evening last night, then 5 more bracelets appeared from nowhere. I can see activity out of the corner of my eye :? so production continues.

Hoorah, managed to delete the account - after 10 goes.

Yes, I can set up a clinic at Joans and with the Convent, we can look after physical and Spiritual needs at the same time :)

I hope you receive the base to your brolly as soon as possible. We don't want you blowing away like Mary Poppins.

Hi Elizabeth, I know, we do post a lot, I am guilty of writing essays I must admit, waffling on. It is more than enough to put your head in a spin.

Sorry you have had a difficult term, I know there was a lot of concern over the change of school bus run, that upset Dan and then Lucy being so unhappy and unwell, you did the right thing to take a definite decision. I hope they both relax and enjoy their holidays and that you sort out again before new term starts. Sending lots of hugs.

Yes, there is a lot of Ivy around the door to the secret garden. It is a wonderful place as I am sure you well know. Pop in any time, we all have access 24 seven. Don't worry if you see the puskins chasing around with their big nets.........

Pepe has seen the rain and decided it will be a chat on the broomstick with Miss Sleek, video link too. They can carpet glide together, being mindful of her heart shaped whisker.

I think there will be a trip to see Jericat and Tomicat tomorrow, with the good weather forecast. Mr Potter has allowed a return magic transportation visit, so they don't have to fly all the way down. Touch whiskers and they are there in a second.

All the lovelies are fine, the meerkats have an automated roof now, at the first sign of rain it closes up.

The emu's seem quite friendly, they have been eating corn from my hands - I think they are being polite and very soon they will chase me round the field. Was it Barbara I saw leaping over the 5 bar gate  with an emu hot on her heels.

Well I had better move, time for T me thinks. Let me see what I can find. Everyone take care. Hope Kerrin is safe and sound after her long long journey.
    Love to all. XXX Aidan
