They are Kath you should see the bruise on my hip, deep cut on my knee and bruise under the other knee!!

Ah how lovely a rose for Rose. and they do great burgers too :D

Joan Lucy is doing really well even going fishing this evening with friends  With a pole so no actual casting out just plopping it in.

I hope all is well with you?

Barbara I am so glad Niamh had a great day and her blushing :) ah how sweet is she? :D

Don't worry about posting a long message sometimes you only have time to say hello and that is FINE :)

Now then, who has been throwing themselves around the garden?? I do hope that you are ok Toni, sending healing vibes, for the wounds and bruises. STEADY away. Matron says. I know, kettle calling pot.......
Looking is definitely more important than carrying. Miss Sleek will keep me posted as to the injuries. Please take care, many (()))

As to the wayward pair, trying to get to board the ship, well, I called Hogwarts and spoke to Hermione, she put a spell on their broomsticks that would not let them out of the area around Tomicat and Jericat. She also transported them there and will transport them both home. The brooms are now programmed not to fly out to sea. Pepe and Miss Sleek have both been informed. Miss Sleek was all goo goo because it was a direct request from Hermione, (via your good self.)

Sorry Lucy, we could not take the chance, they would have been on board ship in a flash and sailing into the sunset.

BON VOYAGE Carol and Mr T................ :sun: sdrink

They have had a fly round with Jericat - Tomicat was not for budging thank you :animal_busy: Not sure when Mum is home.

Glad Johnny gave Blush a bath, he is still smiling bless him, busy in the bamboo. All the lovelies are enjoying the sunshine, apart from the warthogs, who are up to their necks in mud  The Bush Babies are on their way to you Toni, they have heard about your fall, so expect tiny paws clinging to you  :?

Well the heat in France that year was way over the odds, normally highs of 30, but when it went over 40 and stayed there, oh my. My Cardio said it would be good for me to be in a warmer climate, but not a furnace !!
The GP there said don't get too hot - ok, we will live in the car, seeing as we are living in a ruin at the moment   I think I did cope with it, well, we had to. It lasted for what seemed like forever and broke with the most amazing storm I have ever witnessed.

This time next week we will be amidst all the family, or we might have fended them off, we can only last so long, same as Mum, we need our rests. Mum is doing ok, she looked a bit weary this morning when they popped in for coffee and croissants. She needs more rests. Saying that, her Brother and SIL will be staying with them from Thursday

Photo's yes, I will make sure some go on to FB, no one will mind I am sure :)

I am the only one, the closest are my Cousins or my Aunt and Uncle who we meet up with in Skipton. I don't speak to my Cousins from one Preston Guild to another, but, we all know where we are and can call at any time.

I have another Cousin who lives in France and married a Frenchman, many years back, one cousin in Boston USA, one in Ireland, one 10 miles away who I have not seen since I was 15

I will have a think about where the sermon book would be best left to

The lunch looked lovely, all veggie too :)

Pepe will have to cast some magic dust over Miss Sleek, to keep her calm when meeting the judging panel at Hogwarts.

Nothing down our none existent chimley today  :? We have a fireplace and a very nice living flame electric remote controlled fire :)

The new town of Benidorm, right, ok...................bon courage. :?

Glad the party went well for Niamh, Barbara, I thought you might be a little faded today, after a busy time, hyper on sugar, way to go Niamh. :bee: :cake:

I like our morning or night time blessings, makes you feel good, none denominational too, to keep things neutral :) Even if I am a Vicars' Son
Yes, the alternative GC is very nice, if the scones are good, I am happy, although the coffee could be improved upon.........The one near us is still our Fav.

We love the Great Sewing Bee, cannot wait for the next series. It does inspire people.

Hi Joan, thank you, I am sure things will go well next week end for the party, it will certainly be a busy day.
hope you are both ok, out and about I trust.

How lovely Kath, I was wondering if you would be under the Gazebo at some point soon :) With the best burger stall in the world, what do you have, burgers, or bacon butties?
A rose for a Rose, how lovely, I bet they were thrilled.

I think I will open the ward up tonight, for a certain person to receive medical attention from Dr George.

How deep is deep Toni. Does it need sutures or glueing together?? Steri strips even.

Much arnica and witch hazel for those bruises.

Maybe some cakes will help things heal quicker.

Love to all, everyone take care, far and wide.

    XX Aidan

We have a very none calorific German Cheesecake

I see that the German Cheesecake has floored everyone :lol: I made one a long time ago, never used so many eggs, so much sugar, so much mascarpone cheese.........oh my, a billion calories per slice, but was SO good.

    aurora-sunset-edit.jpg

Carol has set sail, well, not Carol  but the ship has set sail with all aboard. 8) 8) Ahhh, missing you already

    Shape yourself Aidan.

We have had a fairly chilled out afternoon, B did some tending in the garden, cut the grass verge, shuffled some pots, re potted some other plants into bigger pots, cleaned one of the benches.......he needed a break from the jewellery making.

Talking of jewels, he is making a lovely bracelet for Mum's 80th, with Peridot and Rubies.

We are going wedding dress shopping with our neighbour next week, her entourage :) Say yes to the dress :) Don't tell Miss Sleek or Pepe. Should be good, something I have never been privy to. She knows we will tell her the truth. Like TAKE IT OFF, or BUY IT. :?

I ironed the shirts and bits that needed doing. Just normal housey things, polishing the taps of course, is now part of every day things to do 8)

Toni will be nursing her wounds, after fighting with the garden steps, never a good thing to do. :? I know it is hurting, so the bush babies are over your way.

Barbara will be recovering from Niamhs' Birthday party and keeping a beady eye on the local traffic happenings.

Kerrin will be enjoying time in South Africa, with family schair

Christine will no longer be cutting hedges   Hope the fingers are not to ouchy.

Kath had a lovely breakfast, under the gazebo, at the best burger bar in G Britain :)

Elizabeth, I hope you are enjoying the holidays and are feeling ok sfl0

Charrisse, we have not seen you for a long while, thinking of you and hoping you are able to get to your local knitting group. sfl

I will just have a potter - be right back

Baby hedgehog in the garden, snuffling around the pots, bless, only tiny.

We have had more butterflies today, lovely to see them all, busy on the buddleia.

I guess I had better move, watch the next tennis match from Washington DC. Loved that City, walked for miles around all the National Monuments.

Hair cuts today, after a quick nip to the supermarket for a couple of "bits".

Everyone take lots of care, n night to all. XXX Aidan

    Morning everyone

Well done Aidan for stopping Pepe and Miss Slimkins from hopping aboard the liner. I was very worried. Good thinking to get Hermione in on it. It think they were reading 'The Owl and The Pussycat' and wanting to do 'The Puss and The Pussycat'

Clearly the order having come from Hermione was enough - Miss S was chuffed to bits and as you know will do anything to be like her

You are 100% right Tomcat is happy enough not to fly - yet, but that may change when Jericat is everywhere.

Bruises were slightly better in bed overnight a good thing as Miss S slept between my 'back paws'. It works...kind of...but necessitates very little movement....I'll say no more. I expect she has fed-back  BTW the cut was more of a gouge?? It's ik I have some steri-strips and have used them. Stung less in the shower this morning too phew!!

The storms in France are wonderful aren't they? We got over 40 when we were there in 2015 you know. Only just but the air-con was working overtime  Surely a bit too warm even if cardio did suggest a little extra heat.

I had some cheesecake and 3 M&S extra thick chocolate rounds (so in fridge if anyone wants one) so needed the detox breakie. Very nice actually thanks :D

I bet it did B good to have a potter in the garden :) Did I tell you I have had my pruning instructions from Po and my Wilhelmina is all pruned until feb now. I bet you are looking spick and span? We are a bit Paul did some hedge trimming here now the nesting birds are all done with them.

Ooooh lucky Mum! she will be chuffed to bits and B will be extra chuffed to have made his Mum happy :)

How old is your 'soon to be wedded' neighbour? Diddicat has read this so will be with you and Pepe too, but I am sure they will behave :?

Taps still shiny and devoid of finger-prints/cat hair?

Yes the bush-babies have been they like to look at injuries did you know? You hardly know they are there, but bless them they are sweet.

Blush looks to fluffy and clean! Yes all animals seem happy enough don't they? I have done the fruit round....and some bottle feeding!

Aw a baby hedgehog!! One of the villagers is going to help me with my pond/garden wants is to make the pond so that the hedgies can have a drink :) That will be no problem at all :D

Ba careful haircutting or you'll be demoted again

Apparently Pepe has been trying out magic calming dust and put a bit too much on and Sleek fell asleep!! He will refine it before their tests/quidditch game I'm sure :animal_busy:

Apparently the hotel is an adult only no lads groups hotel so should be ok. Since I have never been I am looking out for 10 a large hanky to knot and 20 a union jack T shirt  Think that's all I need  Apparently we have NOTHING to do with the usual Brits only the flight and have our own transfer to the hotel etc.

    Scary eh?

Charley and Tia will look after Diddicat and our home for us so all will be well.

Love to Joan Who will probably be along in a mo.

Love to everyone else too I hope no-one is suffering too much.

You know when 'they' do your fall risk assessment in hosptal why do we get 1 point as a female when men don't? Is it our likelihood of getting osteoporosis?

Morning everyone. Back from South Africa. Had a nice relaxing holiday despite OH getting food poisoning.

Having a chilled out day today before a tennis tournament I'm running starts tomorrow. We went to watch the athletics last night so came home very tired.

The cats have been talking about their flying experiences. Jericat is very demanding wanting attention.

    Off to catch up.

Tesco online is packed to the rafters with all branded wholemeal bread and white bread. They were probably faffing (hope that's not a rude word).

My sister Anita flies off to America today. Ben will meet her at the airport. Are Pepe and Miss Slimcea out on the broom today?

Barbara, some men are never satisfied! Present company excepted of course. Such a shame though.

Aidan, I loved the detox breakfast. I usually have fried egg and mushrooms in a cob (bun) under the gazebo.

    Safe journey Carol. :Da065.gif

Afternoon to all - just started raining here, for the rest of the day and night apparently. Saves watering the pots and the aftercut that B put down on the verge, will be well watered in.

Hi Toni Yes, Hermione was very kind to put a stop to the pus and the pussycat sailing away ................Goodness knows where they would have ended up.

Miss Sleek was overwhelmed with the orders from Hermione, who can do no wrong and is totally wonderful. Bless her, emulating her would be no bad thing.

Jericat can put in for her basic broom test now, with Pepe and Miss Sleek being qualified to adjudicate. I am sure she will do just fine. Tomicat might just want to take up a little flying, curiosity and all that. They are very happy to see Mum and Dad home now :)

Miss Sleek has given a very full and quite dramatic description of your injuries to Pepe, he fainted, but soon came round.

Glad that you managed to keep still with puskins in situ. They are the same with me, they pin me in and you wake up with no feeling in your arms or legs.

Good that you had some steristrips, I had a feeling you might be well supplied with necessary "things" for such occasions. Good that it didn't sting as much in the shower, this gouge, sounds ouchy and worth keeping a close eye on. Pepe will make sure Miss Sleek keeps it under observation, as long as she doesn't show him.

The storms in France are amazing, similar to the ones in the USA. Mega bolts of lightning and real crashing thunder that shakes the windows.

We didn't have an AC unit until our third house, so we must melted for three years. Winters were very cold though, total contrasts.

I will partake in some chocolate, thank you. I cannot eat any more cheesecake

Tell me more about the pruning of the wisteria please, even though they are in full leaf. B is asking how far you have cut it back, would that include the baby one, which is still growing and has new leaves on...? If anyone knows then Pom does.

Yes, we are looking quite trim and tidy, hedges, grass, pots all in order. Hair all in order, I am still salon junior, but I can vacuum without supervision now :lol:

Our neighbour, errrrm, 45 I think. Her first husband passed away he had very early onset alzheimers, very sad.

We will keep an eye out for the twosome in and out of the wedding dresses and Miss Sleek trying on Tiaras'

Yes the taps are shining brightly, the odd water spot, but that is soon sorted :)

The Bush Babies are very good with wounds, very gentle, make good animal nurses :) Little healing paws, bless them.

Blush is a bit Crystal Tips, I think his hair needs some straightening :lol: Thank you for the fruit round and bottle feeding. Dr Doolittle and two Super Vets are on today and into the night.

Oh I was very careful with the hair cut, in fact I had to remember to breathe  all went well, hence the vacuuming as a reward. :?

I wondered if Pepe had gone a bit blaze' with the calming dust, all ours are flat out as well - he will have to refine it a little. No flying today, weather is turning horrid, so they will be on the video link later.

The organising of the Benidorm trip sounds far more refined. Nothing to do with the great unwashed thank you very much. Yep, a hankie and an England shirt and you will be a local :lol::lol:
Even the flights can be a little "rowdy" from what I read in the press. We can do without that. Maybe Hermione could add some powders of good behaviour, into the air conditioning system.

Miss Sleek will no doubt be telling Pepe that she has been abandoned, all alone, with nothing but a crust to eat.   He is wise to that one now though.

Naughty Charlie for teasing, falls as we get older, well, these things happen to us all Charlie and none of us are getting any younger :)

As to falls and the risk assessment. Osteoporosis is in the list of risks and is a common problem with ladies.

Hi Kerrin, big welcome home, so glad you had a wonderful time, even though your OH had :mrgreen: oh dear, hope it was short lived bug and he is ok now.
A tennis tournament to run, starting tomorrow, gosh, hitting the ground running eh. Take care, steady away.

I bet the puskins are so pleased to see you, Jericat is all ready to sit the basic broomstick test now, we were waiting for you to get back.

Hi Joan, you are quite right, getting up from a stumble or fall is just as hard. I almost fell out of my comfy chair last night, trying to get something off the floor, B had to launch me back in and said will you let me get it...............ooops

Hope you managed to get out and about before any rain.

Yes, our neighbour trusts us completely, which is nice to know.

Hi Barbara ooh, out for breakfast eh, very nice too.

we are getting ready for our big family "do" next week end. Well, some of it starts on Thursday when Mum turns 80. Then the big meal out on the Saturday lunchtime, with everyone there, from far and wide, swindon, london, huddersfield, howarth, all over........

Those cheesecakes are a little moorish, to say the least. Glad you are recovering, oh bless, Niamh wanting to get into the Circus ring.

I was very careful with Bills' hair cut....... :? :?

That is sad news about your neighbour, it makes you wonder why people go off like that, when everything seems to be going so well. I don't know what the answer is, but I am sure your support was well received.

The pic of the cake works fine, it looks wonderful :)

Hi Kath, so you are inundated with branded bread now :lol: no, faffing is not a rude word, as far as I know :?
Hope you Sister has a safe journey over the pond to the States. No, pepe and miss sleek are not flying today, inclement weather conditions.

Oh fried egg and mushroom on a cob, sounds just perfect to me, with some mayonnaise, even better. I will join you next time if that's ok.

Well, it is pill time, so I had better go potter and sort some washing at the same time. I will see how many pills I can throw on the floor this time.

Hi to everyone, those on board ship and those at home. Take lots of care. Until later XX Aidan

Right pruning of wisteria for Aidan (I've had Pom and Grete round this morning with further gardening advice):

Trim each flappy bit back to 5/6 leaves from the bark bit. You'll see. Then in January trim said branches (all will be woody by then) back to 2 buds.

Baby can only be done if you have five leaves from the bark bit???

Rightyho Jericat's theory test has been booked by Miss Sleek via Hermione (not really necessary, but any excuse to ring her up  ) for this Thursday coming now Mum and dad are back. Did you see that Kerrin? and welcome home I hope you are not too tired/in pain?) I expect she's told you, but Pepe and Diddicat are totally impressed with her flying. As for Tomcat no-go yet :|

Aidan no aircon?!! En France  :?

    Gosh!

I am pleased to hear you can vacuum without supervision and all are neat and tidy both in the garden and outside :D VERY careful and you will remain promoted as regards haircuts

Injuries are quite bad actually. Lucy took a photo so no doubt Miss Sleek has sent a copy to poor Pepe by now?? you will have needed smelling salts! :? Looking nice and clean and hardly felt them in the shower :? My first aid kits is a good one thanks to the QE!!! the bush-babies so gently peer at poorlies and tap them :)

No you come to mention it Blush is a tad Crystal Tips  So is my Charley!! Yeah i'll tell her that and show her next time she laughs at my falls  HAH!!

Pepe's powders are a bit strong so I suggest we let HIM add some to the Benidorm flight?

Yes Miss Sleek will be proper Miss Slimkins sucking her cheeks in while we are away  The thinnest cat in the village!!Good job Pep has her measure. No doubt he will fly her in her some tuna anyway ;)

So it's not sexist then the extra risk for older ladies? Fair enough.

The cats have been on the videolink Daisycat has been talking 'dresses' and 'veils' and 'Tiaras' right left and centre.

Oooh a lovely little treat - thanks very much ;)

Hi Kath So they were mucking about with the online shopping then

Diddicat got over to Pepe first thing and back before I was up due to inclement weather warnings.

Fried egg and mushroom baps!! YES PLEASE!!

Wow Barbara!! That cake is fabulous!! He is a lovely dad to do that :)

It should be me and Lucy and Paul off to Benidorm early October with a load of the 'younger' villagers. and Pom and Husband are going to try France with us once he has his new passport.....possibly next year

Oh no!! I am not at all impressed your lovely neighbour's husband naffing off with someone else. KARMA. Grrr......naughty man I hope he makes the effort to see his kids and lets her have the house. Tell her the kids may blame her initially but mine know the truth now they work it out for themselves. Lucy was 5 Charley 8.

Joan you are so right!! I sat there for ages thinking I need to move, but it hurt too much! I had my phone with me though I always do for emergencies.

Night, night everyone hoping Miss S sleeps with Lucy tonight so I can get a bit more comfy!!

    Love to you all

I think I have eaten one too many of those rather tasty cakes, all set on a bed of milk chocolate buttons..............

Evening to all. What a wet afternoon and night. Drizzle turned to pouring rain, the streams are roaring away.

Thank you Toni for the heads up of the wisteria pruning, I have passed on instructions to B as he is head gardener, I would chop something off that I should not be chopping, look at the disaster a couple of months ago with the clippers.  :? :?

I think the baby is still too young, but it will be looked at :) Thanks to Pom and Greet, very much obliged.

I have been meaning to ask about you nasal drenchings - are they helping a bit more? Every time I have used my Sterimar, I have thought, I must ask Toni about her sinus goings on.

So Jericat is all booked in for her test, very kind of Miss Sleek to arrange things with Hermione. (Pepe has been reading her name and asks why she is not called hermoinymoini ):lol: I tried to explain the spelling to him, but it went over his ears.

Still nothing down the chimney yet.........time is pressing on and the pair of them are all set to go to platform 9 3/4. to run arm in arm through the wall. I hope they pick the right wall   :?

It was a tad warm in France, with no aircon. We thought it was cool when it went down to 26 and we could open the windows. No way could I cope with it now.

I might be Salon Junior again by next time - maybe.

Pepe said there was a picture of your wounds, but he passed out again so could not give me any details  Unlike the Bush Babies who are very good with wounds and the like.

I used to have a big collection of dressings, micropore, steri strips, all sorts, when I was nursing, not that I was a thief, but we always had some things in our pockets, to save us going looking. I found a pair of Spencer Wells forceps the other day, in the cutlery drawer

So Blush and Charley have the same hair style. Yes, you tell her, it happens to us all.

Pepe will gladly add the calming powders into the cabin, before everyone boards.

Oh I know what the sucking in of cheeks is like, lol. Feed me, look at me, I have not eaten in weeks. Pepe does that when he sees the wrong batch numbers on the food packets.
He will bring tuna and chicken

Oh dear, maybe they should not follow us to the dress trying on session on Wednesday, if Miss Sleek is all tiaras' and diamante'.....bless.

I hope you have a puskin free night, so that you can at least move.

I had best have another potter. B is busy with his jewellery making.

Hi to Joan, Barbara, Kerrin, Carol (shouting a loud hello), Kath, Christine, Elizabeth, Charrisse and all................

Off to our local GC tomorrow, seems ages since we were there, a week, goodness, way too long, they will forget what we look like.

Mmmmmm.......pancakes for breakie :) Thanks Aidan. The me to you bears are rather sweet too :)

It's easy to eat too much chocolate isn't it? The feeling wears off in the end before you eat more and start it off again

Indeed it has done fair bit of raining :? Good job Sleek nipped over early doors yesterday. Lots of mewling and purring on the skype yesterday. Jericat and Tomcat were in too. Very happy Mum is home :)

Thin 'woe is me' faces on pusskins...don't we know it!! I bet Kerrin's cats did that when she got home  Tuna and chicken via Pepe's broomstick is what Miss Sleek will need

Last night Diddicat decided to sleep on my back paw so I slid it out before she went right off  Something about making sure I don't fall out of bed now  I think she enjoys making Pepe faint showing him photos of injuries :?

I'm sure you very often ended up with bits and pieces in your pocket when nursing were the forceps any good for jewellery making

To be honest I think the cats will be there at the dress trying on session like it or not. No way are they missing the chance. YES to the dress indeed!! Pepe likes dressing up too remember?

I hope you enjoy the GC. Don't be falling out with them or you'll loose your 'regular' status

Cleaning this morning and washing. Lucy had an enormous sp***r in her room last night (upstairs) so is down still minus her clothes as the wardrobes are still empty. I will offer to help this week.

Onwards and upwards then love to everyone and

I tripped UP the steps Joan!! How daft am I? All ready for tomorrow's marathon medical jaunt with you now :)

Barbara the cake was still fabulous whoever made it. Your poor neighbour. Please do reassure them kids see things all on their own in time even if they seem to take it out on her to start with. Stay strong and never badmouth their Dad even though he 100% deserves it.

Yes thanks for ordering the parasol  Ony joking!!

I am very proud this evening! I went with Pom and another villager to the Best Kept Village presentation and I was nominated to collect our prize 2nd :) (in small village category).

    Love to everyone

Diddicat is on sp***r duty tonight. She said Pepe isn't much good with them, she likes them the bigger the better  :?

    And Monday vanished  :?

Still, better late than not at all eh.

We seemed to have a long coffee / scone, then Vets, then Sainsb, then Drs to collect repeats, then lunch was late, then it was T time, then it was nap time now it is late evening.

Glad you enjoyed the pancakes Toni and the little Bears :)

Chocolate is a strange beast really, some I could leave for ever, like Thorntons (other chocolates are available). As you know I was the malteser fiend in the cafe for a long time, before I was diagnosed with Diabetes. Now I limit myself to 4 mini squares a day, unless I am going hypo, then I shovel it in :lol:

It poured yesterday, goodness it was like being in a jet wash at times. A brighter and dry day today, quite warm though, I have had a couple of wilting moments - bless, it's my age you know.

I did hear all the puskins on Skype, so much chattering and purring and some gliding. Miss Sleek was wise to come over early and avoid the downpours.

Oh we have the woe is me face, if I cannot sit on the chair that you are on, or sit where the other two are, or that food is poison.........Miss Sleek was asking for chicken and tuna, in advance of you going to Spain. She showed Pepe on the map, said it was in another universe, it was SO far away (a wee bit dramatic :lol:  )
She does like to show Pepe pictures of wounds, headless voles etc.

Good of Miss Sleek to keep you pinned in bed. I have the side grabber thing, most of it goes under the mattress and there is the rail bit to pull yourself round etc. Keeps me in the bed which is good.

I had a feeling that Pepe and Miss Slimkins will be there on Wednesday come rain or shine. Say yes to the dress is high on their agenda. Pepe might try on a waist coat or two. Miss Sleek said she will wear some blusher :D

A BIG Spi*** oh dear   it is "that" time of year again isn't it. I am on high alert, with sprays, electric racket zapper thingamybob. The puskins are useless when it comes to sorting them out, they just chase them under furniture, which makes the situation WORSE.................

Hi there Barbara No, it is warm Barbara, we are two peas in a pod, we melt at the drop of a hat. I was leaking coffee this morning. It looked a bit rainy, so I put a fleece jacket on :? Big mistake.

Firstly some good vibes and ((())) for your neighbour and the children. Toni is right about the children dealing with things in their own way and time. Everything will be very sore at the moment.

Yes, Mum is 80 on Thursday, she will love the trilogy is it called, bracelet earrings and pendant all matching. They look gorgeous.

I guess I should be pretty good at cutting B's hair after 17 years, the other month was a big ooops, hence the demotion to sweeper upper, from Salon Junior.:lol: :?

Wednesday is the day we all go en masse to help with the wedding dress choosing. It was very sad for her late Husband, Alzheimers is not age related, the youngest I nursed who had Alzheimers was 23.

Glad the base came for the Parasol, yes, it will be very handy to sit under when it is pouring with rain and howling winds :D:D:D :?

Hi Joan, right, today we are under the cloak, I remembered :) We have a busy day with GP and bloods and boot / foot clinic. We will all be with you, rest assured.

Thank you, I am sure Mum will have a lovely day, her Brother and SIL will be here on her Birthday, to stay for a few days and everyone will meet up on Saturday for the lunchtime meal together. We have a busy week.

I was right, Toni has confirmed it, at least I know what day it is :) always a bonus.

Oh so you have been to the Best Village Bafta's, how wonderful is that  way to go Toni. I bet you are proud and rightly so.

I am not sure who won best kept village this year here. I will have to check. I know we have won it before, 2008, 2011 - there is stiff competition, with so many beautiful villages in the Ribble Valley.

Diddicat likes spi*** bigger the better, yes, SHUDDER indeed. Now I will have to go check all the rooms, again. Bill is to hand if I should squeal like a big ninny. :lol:

I will pop into the Sanctuary and say hi to all our lovelies, taking in fruit and veggies and mealworms :?

I had better move, sort out the cloak, some brunch, we will need it tomorrow for the marathon cloak duties with our lovely Joan.

Love to all, here and away and not about at the moment. Everyone take lots of care.

Yes it's definitely that time of year, please send Diddicat round to ours Toni, we have loads. When Emily was young, we had a huge Ivy growing up the the back of the house, around her bedroom window. We often heard a wail "mum, spider!" and I'd have to race upstairs (I could in those days) and she would be standing shaking with fear on the landing while I tossed it out the window. :D

Oh Aidan, 4 mini squares a day! I have half a bar a day! Good job I'm not diabetic. :o

Joan, yes Anita will be thrilled to see Ben after 3-4 years. I think the holiday will do her good.

Sorry had to get that off my chest..

Afternoon to all, the day is running away with us again. This will be short and sweet, until I gather some time back from the secret garden shed.

Joan I hope all went ok with the various appointments, we were all glad to come along and and hold virtual hands :) Sorry that Kath fell asleep and started snoring :lol::lol: ( you know I don't mean it really Kath  )

Oh so you have big spiders too Kath, I am sure Miss Sleek will come and sort them out. I can imagine, with having Ivy growing up, there would have been loads. Every house that I have saved, to buy when we win the lottery, has Ivy growing up. It would be down in the first week !!

I think I could eat a good deal more chocolate and it not affect my blood sugar. We are back from Skipton and we went to Nero's, nice toastie, then a big salted caramel muffin, just checked my BM and it is 4.5 which is low for me  More Cake and more chocolate is the remedy :)

Hope the journey was ok to the USA for your Sister. :)

Hi Barbara Well, what do you say about the horrid so called "Husband". If he can do that, in front of the children, then he is bang out of order and should hang his head in shame. Karma on things like that, what goes around, comes around and it often bites ya !! I bet the poor children were terrified, bless them. When it comes to legal proceedings, which I think it will do, then all the wrong things that he is doing now, will go against him. Breaking into his house, taking very important documents, then taking the car....................oh I am ranting with you hun. :x :x :x

We assume that the wedding dress shopping is still on for tomorrow, will find out later when our neighbour comes home. No, Mum doesn't know about the new set of jewellery that B has made and guess what, his creation was on the Wall of Fame again on tv, they said it was beautiful and how lovely to have a guy making such wonderful things. He recorded the show and we will show it to everyone on Saturday, after the meal.

It is nice to be two peas in a pod, I am not too bad, wilting wise, even with two enormous coffee's at Nero's, I didn't leak. The staff there are lovely, they all come and give hugs when we go, (which is not very often now, since mum and dad passed away, Skipton does not have the same draw ). We try and go every two or three weeks if we can.

Cakes and greetings are a pleasure to leave for everyone.

Talking of cakes, it must be afternoon T time, so let me go see what we have today.

Hi to everyone else, leaving hugs to all, will be back later. Love XXXX Aidan

Pineapple cake with Malibu cream……….!! Oh my!!! I hope it’s a never-ending cake Aidan. Yum!!

I dropped our repeats in yesterday and will be taking them to my favourite and usual pharmacist this time!!

I can believe Skipton wouldn’t be the same now without your parents to visit  :? I am glad the Nero’s staff remember and value both though. Your sugar is low indeed after all that

I have brought the cloak home and hand-washed it gently it is drying on the airer in the spare room I will iron it tomorrow if needs be. Yes Kath did fall asleep and a bush-baby paw popped out again to grip onto Joan. Luckily we stopped him in time  Did you hear what everyone said? I wanted to know whether they were happy with Joan and did you notice whether we left the boot behind....We know now she has posted :) We could plant something in it and she could keep it as a memento

The cats are ready for wedding dress shopping you can forget banning them they have their sandwiches packed in their hankies, knotted on sticks ready to fly over. Pepe is after a lamé waistcoat if there is one :D bless him.

Miss Sleek is maybe a tad manipulative? I mean it’s not another universe Benidorm (though there may be odd people there!!) She likes to stress Pepe and I think he has given in and spent his pocket money on her. Tuna and chicken bless him  

I was so proud at the Best Kept Village, Pom said I had to go up  Next year we will come first if it kills us!!! I do have a photo and need to get it into my GMAIL so you can all see me!!

Come on now! Diddicat is scared of absolutely NOTHING bless her she is one brave pusskin :D  Good job - I am terrified of the things…..shudder!!

Joan I am really glad all went well today we couldn’t tell whether you came home with the boot - now I understand....you can wear it when you need to. What colour will your ankle boots be? We did work hard in the village thank you :)

HI Kath any time you need her my pusskin will be over to sort out scary sp****s  Poor Emily I be she hated that ivy. Poor girl.

I am very glad to hear your sister will be having such a great visit :)

Oh my goodness Barbara! That man! How VILE! :x I am sure Aidan is right karma. Those poor kids I bet they were so scared and crying. Aunty Barbara looked after them though I’m sure.

The lady has no worries the kids will never forget that even the lad who wants to be loyal to his Dad, but now he knows it’s NOT Mum’s fault. Get her the very best solicitor in the area now ASAP.

It’s an easy village here to fit into and I am so pleased we got 2nd next year – 1st!!! :D

Have I done anything exiting today?? I don’t think so took Charley to the Drs collected her anti-b’s and then had some cake and a cuppa together.

    Love to everyone

    Toni xxx
