Flowers for you to take to Mum’s Aidan :D  No I didn’t expect you I am sure the day was very busy all round.

I am very pleased to hear how much she loved the jewellery B made for her birthday it sounds gorgeous!

I am sure she will enjoy the weekend with her visitors all 19 of you. Remember she is doing so well isn’t she? ((()))

I enjoyed the cake fight too I ate quite a bit did you? It was the best one I ever had ;) Cleaning up afterwards…not so good…
I will finish all 60 sachets of the sinus rinse at least I will have tried.

The secret garden! Wow that is almost exactly how it is for me!!
The triwizard cup is rather speCATular isn’t it? Jericat formed the third part of the triad. Extra power has indeed been bestowed. Mind you Diddicat’s been asleep all day until just that
transportation spell certainly take it out of them doesn’t it?
She has been posing in her new Tiara and apparently Pepe has been doing the same in his new waistcoat. Very dapper! :D

Tomcat might just be getting interested….

    Kerrin
I bet you are proud as can be of your little Jericat!! Showing off is she? Practical now which we all know she will ‘fly’ through!! Has she got a net yet? So she can catch small creatures/quidditch balls in your garden/neighbour's.

As for Tomcat Miss Sleek and Pepe were saying the other night (I overheard them) that they think he will probably take his test on his own with a private instructor then his practical and say “So what was all the fuss about?” They said they find plenty of time to sleep as well as fly.

If you are due your blood test then there isn’t much you can do about it is there? At least they are monthly now anyway.

Bush babies en route Kath - post paste via Miss Sleek and Pepe on the tandem broom. They are safely inside their rucksack.

That story was totally irrelevant to Diana honestly!
Re-do that test please ASAP. ((()))

Barbara I bet you feel almost ashamed of the husband then if you knew him as a wee one. I should say something other than brains turned his head  say no more. Don’t feel responsible though - you are supporting their daughter and they appreciate it hence the food.

Joan the garden Aidan posted is of his imaginary secret garden - I wish ours was like that. I will put a photo of it on when I get a minute. I didn’t manage to bring much here sadly :(  How does your foot feel if you leave the boot off now?

Best get on love to everyone

A late good evening to one and all - phew, it feels like we are on a roller coaster at the minute - can we get off please.  I need the Bush Babies.

Hi Kerrin, sorry you are still coughing and, they always seem to be worse at night, as soon as you lay down, it starts.......You are right, it is irritating. SO many people around us have had terrible coughs that seem to have lingered, we have not allowed them in :lol: :?

Hope all the tennis finals went ok and your assistant was not too overwhlemed.

Oh Jericat is over the moon and back again, unlike Tomicat who is not in the least bit bothered by the broomsticks flying around.

That's ok, if you have a GP surgery appointment, then no one can stop you going, morning head teacher, see you in a bit. 8) 8)

Rest Well. Sending get well vibes, for the cough to ease quickly.

Hi Joan, the family gatherings seem to be going ok, a tiring day, big meet up today with everyone, for lunch, thank goodness I am not catering and the pub is.

Mum is looking very tired, but she is enjoying things at the same time, if that makes sense :?

Hope you Sue and the lovely doggies are ok, managing to get out and about. How is your foot doing now, does it feel any stronger.

Hi Kath, LOL what is that story all about, I read the headline and then it all went totally off track..............how bizare.

I remember Mundella school, Trent Bridge, yes, spend many a night at the Rowing Club, falling out very well pickled   :lol:
So it is all gone and is a housing estate, I am sure I would hardly recognise half of Nottingham now.

I will be sending you the Bush Babies, your need seems greater hun. Costo Chondritis is very unpleasant, sending lots of healing vibes to take away the inflamation there. The bowel cancer tests are often re requested due to unclear results. Was it the home test kits that you send in to the Surgery and they send them off?

Pain and discomfort are so tiring and affects people far more than others realise. Those Bush Babies will have their warming little hands holding you in no time.

Hi Barbara, yes, Mum is not alone in needing some rest breaks. She is loving seeing everyone, but you can see it is draining her and she is getting mixed up with things. All the excitement. Today will be the busiest day, then Sunday everyone comes here for coffee before they set off back home. I will have their coats ready at the door, mind how you go, byeeeeeeeeeeeeee :lol::lol:

It was a terrible waste, the cake fight that Toni and I had, we enjoyed it though. I remember once, Mum had made a big trifle and I said to Dad, I would love to put your face in it, (not in a nasty way). He said, go on then.............and I did. :lol: Mothers face was a picture.

I see you are overwhelmed with lovely Indian food, we will pop round, if that's ok.
Gosh, you have known him since he was a little one, after all that time and now he has turned on the family like that. What a shame. I don't know what goes wrong to be honest. People just seem to de rail and have no care for the feelings of their supposed loved ones.

Hi Toni, yes, Mum is over the moon with the Jewellery that Bill made for her, she is wearing it today, for the lunchtime gathering. SIL and Niece are loving Bill's jewellery too, I think they have bought some, he is busy away making it tonight.

Oh yes, she is doing well, remarkably well, all things considered. Thank you for the hugs, I will secretly pass them on :)

19 for lunch, that will be a long order for the waitress/ waiter.......... other SIL is one total fuss pot when it comes to the menu's, no matter where we go
    Smile and carry on eh.

The cake fight was ace, even though we left a horrendous mess, I think Barbara sat in some of the cream and sponge, that we missed on the clean up.

That secret garden picture was just perfect, I saw it and thought, wow, that is how I would want it, exactly.

The Cup from Hogwarts is amazing, like Miss Sleek, all our three have been flaked out all day, up for food, then back to sleeps. Bless em.
Pepe did mention that they had been skyping and that Miss Sleek was positively glowing with diamante'. I had packed Pepe's waistcoat away, I wondered why it was out on the bed.
The transportation spell from Hermione is a very powerful one, flash bang and you are wherever she sends you, must leave your head and whiskers in a spin.

I think they have a plan for Tomicat, with the secret adjudicator all arranged, Tomicat is just being super cool about things and keeping his broom well hidden. 8) Miss Sleek and Pepe know where it is, but they are sworn to secrecy, even with Tuna and Chicken as a bribe.

Well, today was up, shower, dress, go to GC to meet up with Mum dad, Aunt and Uncle.................coffee, scones, then vets, then shopping, then home, clean litter tray, so it is gleaming once more, then lunch, then potter round to Mums when B's brother and family arrived mid afternoon..........cake, tea, natter, potter back, tea, nap, up, supper, try and catch up with washing.............. :? :?

Today, up shower, dress, go to pub with the cakes that Aunt dropped off, lovely they are too, I will take some pics. Meet everyone for lunch, then some are coming back to ours for T and coffee, then we will fire everyone out at T time :lol:

Bills Bothers and family are all staying in a nice B and B in town. SIL says it is lovely, adjoining rooms with their kids, kitchen dining area, all to themselves, very posh. They will all go out into town in the evening, (not our scene, I am less than useless of an evening) I cannot keep pace any more.

Sunday, everyone will come round here, before they head off back home. Sunday afternoon, we will be slumped in chairs.

    That's the plan anyway. :?

Right I must away, I am set solid. Back is screaming at me. But carry on we must.

Hi to Carol, Elizabeth, Christine, Mig, Charrisse and all. Leaving hugs for everyone. Not sure if I will get on tonight. Will see.

Take lots of care. XXX Aidan

Truffle omelette Aidan?!! Wow! What a posh breakfast! That's listening to SIL's description of their hotel I reckon

Thank you very much and very choccy beverage too :D

I'm surprised, but pleased you got in after the day you had yesterday

B has a fussy SIL does he? My best friend's wife is a fussy one too  Let her get on with it and not spoil your fun

I am glad to hear today is being looked forward to by Mum even if she is mostly watching and smiling that is good and proudly wearing her jewellery c/o B :) Good to hear more family members are purchasing his work.

Your Dad sounds to have been so funny!! My dad could be too once my sister pretended to be sick (the custard was - unusually for my Mum - lumpy) and he held his hands out and she globbed it in them  I think my Dad would have likes trifle on his face too

I will wash Barbara's trousers and get the cake out  Nothing like a messy fight is there? Mud pies too I used to love them

Diddicat spent the night in the L room last night Paul didn't spot her in here  so much late-night skyping no doubt. I wonder whether Kerrin suspects Tomcat has a secret broom? He's a wily one that boy  She's been over to yours and she and Pepe have been up to Pendle for the sunrise again. They often do that now don't they?

I think they like the romance of it all :)

No transportation spells for a while so hopefully they will liven up a bit now.

I hope you have a lovely day all of you. Best of luck to your waiter/esses!!

We sat under the gazebo for breakfast, if I hadn't been so tired and feeling right bad, it would have been very pleasant. We strolled down the High Street where the market is and Chris sat on a bench while I visited the loo, (human, not Llama). We found a bakers stall and brought 2 egg custards and I got a meat and potato pie while Chris got a Cornish Pasty. Delicious.

That story was a bit all over the place, wasn't it. Why all the photos of Diana?

Thanks for the Bush Babies. Nottingham has changed a lot, they're pulling Broad Marsh bus station and car park down now. Cancer check is a home kit that you post yourself.

Hi everyone. I don't seem to have enough hours in the day at the moment. Boss and his wife and daughter are on holiday, one son away and the eldest son has been at home with his girlfriend. They've been staying in bed all morning so I've been creeping around. Went in to the kitchen and it was covered in empty cups and glasses and half full takeaway boxes. I walked straight back out again. They are leaving this weekend so I'm wondering what I'll be going to on Monday.

I've had an abscess on a tooth which is supporting a bridge. I should have made an appointment at the dentist but she's already told me I need to lose the tooth and so the bridge so I haven't made the appointment yet. Haven't done any more hedge cutting but did make a start removing the irises from the pond. They've all combined at the roots so there's a blanket of them about 4 feet by 5 feet. I might advertise them locally and tell people they need to get them out themselves. Hands are a lot better. Just one finger hurts a lot when I catch it. Still need to do an essay for my course. Just can't settle down to do it.

Hope everyone who isn't feeling so good feels better quickly, including Aiden's mum. Hope she enjoyed her birthday. Happy birthday to Joan and Sue too. Hope Toni's knee and hip is much better now. Terrible behaviour of your neighbour's husband Barbara. Hope she is coping. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Taking the broad marsh car park down Kath?!! That's where we used to get picked up when I used to volunteer at Skylarks in West Bridgeford :(

The photos of Diana just to draw the reader in I think.

Sounds like a nice morning you had there pies and egg custards? Can't fault it :)

Better repeat your test ASAP methinks.

Joan I thought my sinuses were improving with the sinus rinsing, but really not much change. Are your new jogging trousers the same colour? Abnormal results? Which test? the calcium one?

Christine I hope the last fingers gest better soon. I love your idea about the irises! Might just work.

As for the bosses kids  honestly! lazy things!! I hope you aren't too busy on Monday now because of them :x

I hope you can summon up the energy to get your last bit of course-work done soon ((()))

My bumps bruises and grazes are all on the mend just itchy thanks :?

I hope Aidan only comes on if he has the energy today :?

    Good evening to all

    k050.gif

That is just how we feel.

Today has been very enjoyable, very tiring, lovely to see everyone together.
Mum and Dad were made up with the get together and lunch to mark their 60th Anniversary and Mum's 80th Birthday. Aunt J had made two huge iced cakes, one fruit, one sponge, the lovely ladies who "fuss" with dining preparations, put the cakes on a little table at the end of our VERY long table.

Everyone enjoyed the meal, even fussy SIL, who didn't make one comment !! The food was lovely. We were in the same room as a wedding party, but we were all done and gone, before they came in for their meal and goings on.

Everyone, bar Mum, came back to ours   18, never had so many people in at the same time. I stopped in the kitchen with Niece and her partner, as the lounge was full, kiddies charging about, lots of chatter....................Mum went home for a nap.

The kettle was busy, as was the coffee machine. I was quite happy to potter and fuss.

Everyone went by about 4 ish, GSon and his family went home, as did Niece and her GF, the rest went round to Mum's before going back to the hotel and a night on the town no doubt.

We had a major fuss, well, I did the "facilities" to clinically clean standards, while B did some major vacuuming. Then we just about fell in a heap. tramadol to the rescue, before a nap.

Off round to Mum's this morning, to meet up with B's two Brothers and family and Aunt and Uncle, before the all head off home. A short visit, lots of kisses and hugs then byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Phew, I think that covers it all. I cannot talk about my back, it is uber hurting. I will share the bush babies with Kath if that's ok.

The omelette was very posh wasn't it Toni. A little Truffe adds that certain something. (although I always thought them a little overrated ).

Your Sister was a little minx, pretending to be :lol::lol: poor Dad.

Thanks for washing Barbara's trousers, I have a mountain of washing to sort today, keep me out of mischief. Mud pies, oh yes, let's, but don't tell Barbara.

There was a lot of skyping last night, Miss Sleek was telling Pepe that she had been locked in and forgotten   He didn't fall for it.
They did go up to Pendle, but had to fly high to watch the sunrise. Pendle was moody looking this morning, shrouded in thick mists at the top. Miss Sleek gathered another jar of Pendle Mist, something about taking it to Tomicat - are they casting a little spell I wonder. :? :? He definitely has a broomstick but neither of our intrepid duo will tell where it is.

Sunrise and sunsets, yes, they are rather fond of them, Miss Sleek parks her broomstick under our decking and they go off with her as pillion. Bless eh.

Good that your bruises and wounds are on the mend. No more fighting with garden steps.

Hi there Joan that's nice, new joggers, we know how you like to keep warm :)
Thank you, we had a very good day, very tiring, but we will bounce back
I hope your blood results were no more abnormal than usual. I think we all have some results that are kind of borderline with regard one function or another

Hi Kath, the bush baby will be there already and keeping you as comfy as possible. Sorry that you are so ouchy at the moment. Sending lots of hugs and well wishes.
You managed to have a sit under the gazebo and a walk down the high street, that is an achievement in itself when you are feeling pretty rotten.
Egg custards, Cornish Pasties, Meat and Potato Pies, mmmmmmmm we will be right over, oh, they are all gone

They cannot pull Broad Marsh bus station and car park down. That was always the hub, everyone met there, or in the square, by the lions. My bus to school always went to Broad Marsh, then I walked across town to King Street to get the next bus to Bluecoat School. There was always a hot dog stand at one entrance to the Bus station.

Toni says they cannot pull it down either, it is part of Nottingham's history now.

Hi Christine - if you pop into the Secret Garden, there are some spare hours, in the garden shed, we discovered that is where they all vanish to. Carol and I are always in there.

Not nice that you have to creep about at work, can they not do anything, leaving such a tip in the kitchen, I don't blame you for walking straight out. Lazy things.
Goodness knows what it will be like on Monday.

Hope the abscess goes as soon as possible. Might be best to get the tooth out, can they not add a tooth to the bridge?

You be careful with those Irises, I imagine the weigh a ton, if they are all tangled together. I am sure someone would love them in their pond, so let them do the heavy work, you do more than your share at your Bosses house. FB buy and sell for your area is very good, we have sold a fair few things on our local buy and sell.

Glad to hear that your hands are a lot better, just one finger to send some extra hugs to (())

I am sure you will soon have that essay done, you are very good at keeping up to speed with your courses.

Well, I have had about a dozen potters, while writing this and need to potter some more. Seen some shooting stars tonight, it is the best week end to see them, Persius or something it is called. As we travel through the dust left by comets.

Hi to Barbara, Elizabeth, Kerrin, Charrisse, Carol, Mig and all..........Everyone take lots of care.

Thanks for breakfast Aidan! Needed today as we have Paul's Mum over for lunch and most of the kids too :) Need sustenance first and plenty of it. She is a character!!

Well it's a good job you have a very big table isn't it? but how lovely to have everyone together to celebrate 2 momentous occasions like that :D

Fussy SIL said nothing?? Nothing at all? Well that is good :D and Aunt J's cakes went down a treat too I bet she was chuffed.

I bet the restaurant staff were exhausted too 2 'dos' in the same day!!

It really sounds as though it went off perfectly no-one outstaying their welcome (having places to go) and Mum and Dad the centre of it all! GOOD memories for you all :) :cake:

As for the cleaning - me too here ready for our royal visit:)I have no idea why our house is usually spick and span no doubt like yours and she would never say a word anyway  Just us I suppose!

I hope you slept like logs ready for your visiting today cuppas hugs and them byeeeees!

Gosh Aidan I do now know that the cats do skype!! Miss Slimkins was indeed locked in as we had surprise visit from my friend and her wife on the way back up to Stoke from Windsor with their YORKIE!! yes a dog so I shut of the bedrooms with her in it. For her own protection of course.

Ah yes there is a spell she as going to try out for Tomcat!! and Pendle mist was in the recipe :) She likes to pretend she's going to tell me where his broomstick is but them shuts up with a little snigger!!

They are adorable the love-cats riding together on Pepe's broomstick :)

No problem sorting out Barbara's trousers I was doing darks anyway!

I need to watch for some shooting stars tonight I think.

Do take it easy today when you can :?

A quick hello to Joan as she's usually close behind me! e010.gif Different sizes! We might just need an up to date pick of you both together then :)

Sunny here :sun: so a perfect day :sun: :bee:

OOOOh Aidan, that tray of goodies looks yummy scrummy, slurp. Yes, the pies and custards were delicious too. As for the Broad Marsh well, it's a dump. Years ago, in the 1930s, It was all slums. I suppose most cities have areas like that. I had ballroom dancing lessons with a girl who used to go to Bluecote (the original school) I think it's a Caribbean Centre now. Her parents used to breed standard Poodles, and occasionally won Crufts.

Hugs and love to all, thanks for sharing the BBs with me.

Evening to one and all. Is it me, or is it HOT  Of course, the day after we pack away the AC, I am boiled.

Hi Joan, you are right, we need a bit of a rest now, well, a big rest, but that is unlikely.
Mum n Dad had a lovely time over the week end. Everyone has gone back home now and peace has been restored.

I hope both of you have had a nice week end and managed to get out and about, with the doggies :)

Happy to oblige Toni, we like our breakfast treats. So you have a busy day ahead today with family gathering.

We are glad that all the celebrations went as planned, everyone was happy, Mum n Dad were over the moon. As I said to Joan, everyone has wended their way home, arriving safe and sound.

No, SIL said nothing about the food and seemed to enjoy it all. Always a relief, although we take no notice now. Like it or lump it :)

It would have been a very busy day, as we were leaving, the wedding ceremony was happening, all the dining room was set out, looking lovely. I bet the staff were exhausted come the end of the day.

Great memories, lovely pictures. I will find the one of Mum and her younger Brother and post a link.

I guess we are both the same, with regard keeping the place spick and span. Mum always kept the Rectory spotless and taught me well, the art of cleaning and fussing. Then 25 years nursing on top of that. I wish I could clean like I used to, down on the floor, rooting and furtling every nook and cranny. B does a good job though.

We did sleep well, I was drugged up to the eyes with full dose tramadol along with everything else.

Then we pottered round to Mums to meet everyone or a cuppa, before everyone went their separate ways. Phew, peace. Then we took Mum n Dad to Sainsb., quick there and back. They will likely have slept for most of the day I am sure. Don't blame them one bit.

Miss Sleek did mention the doggie, but Pepe is not au fait with the canine breed yet, more pictures are needed I think. Of course she was away for her own protection.

They went out to see the shooting stars in the early hours, making wishes along the way. The view from up on Pendle, was perfect. They were all loved up, with the shooting stars, the views down onto the town, dawn breaking.................ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Pepe has let it slip, where Tomicats broomstick is, it is on Pendle Hill, hidden in the heather. Whenever they go to see Jericat, they take it with them, tied very tightly to one of their own broomsticks, so it cannot be seen. Don't say anything to Miss Sleek, or you could ask, "is it on a hill" and see her reaction  :?

We have had an at home afternoon, I have been pottering and trying to shift the payback pains. Washing, drying, getting VERY hot with the dryer going, there was not a lot of breeze today, to whizz the air through.

Hope your visitors enjoyed their time with you.

How is Rev Delphine doing? I like to keep up to speed with the local Clergy :)

It was a lovely breakfast tray Kath, you help yourself hun, as much as you like.
Well, after all the years, I imagine Broad Marsh is a but of a dump now, it never was a wonderful piece of architecture. To think we would walk through the underpass into Broad Marsh Center, without a care, not any more I wouldn't. I remember falling flat on my face one time, stomping along in my platform shoes.........down the steps from Debenhams, or was it BHS? Anyway, it was not graceful at all.:lol::lol:

Thank you for putting the pictures on, the Bus Station looks more of an eyesore than the terrible housing.

Small world eh, you having lessons with a girl from Bluecoat, the one on Mansfield Road? Before it moved to Aspley.

I hope you are up to speed with the patches and other pain relief, along with the help of the Bush Babies and hugs from all of us ((())) to get rid of the ouches.

Hi Barbara morning, afternoon, evening, night, I never know what time it is either and as for what day we are on, not a hope
Thank you, everything has gone according to plan over the week end and yes, we could do with a very chilled week, with lots of home time and pottering, B doing his Jewellery etc. I enjoyed just watching the butterflies in the garden today, quite a variety, Commas, Peacocks, Red Admirals, Painted Ladies, Tortoishell. All dancing about and enjoying the sunshine and nectar.

Glad you agree that the bus station looks worse than the slums. A thing of beauty it is not.

I am pleased to hear that your neighbour has a court order on her Husband, that states he cannot come to the house, or the road for that matter.
She does right, to go on the cruise, taking a friend with them instead. I am sure you will keep a close eye on the property. He would do well to stay away, or he will be arrested.

I didn't have time to leave cakes out for T, apologies. Things will be back to normal, whatever normal is.

I am sure you are glad that you don't syphon the milk for the lovelies in the Sanctuary.

I popped in and had a ride round, all the wonderful creatures are well and happy. Most were dozing, apart from the owls, blush the sloths and the meerkats who were chattering away in their burrows.
I put some more water in the warthogs mud pool, I see they have had a new one dug out and the other one filled in, it was getting a bit of a mess !! The warthog babies are growing, but their mother is still very possessive and testy.

The super Vets are on tonight, with Dr Herriott.

Hi to Christine, Carol, Kerrin, Mig, Charrisse, Elizabeth and all.

Let me go see if there are any shooting stars.......................N Night all, take lots of care XXXX Aidan

Hey mig!! Good to se you :) Frozen yoghurt is nice nearly as lovely as ice cream :)

Joan so you are smaller than Sue good job so people can tell the difference :)

I have a man in the garden digging out ready for the felling of the conifers at the weekend, but it's raining. He says he's ok but honestly it's vile

Aidan I asked Diddicat whether the broomstick might be on a hill? She actually went pink!!! No no definitely not she said.

She has been sending Pepe photo of dogs :? be warned to expect much fainting

Lovely apple pastries thank you very much :)

wasn't that a lovely (if painful) weekend? I am so glad you all have so many happy memories and would love to see any photos if you can post links.

Keep up your painkillers and you will again get ahead of the pain ((()))

I have been into the zoo helping warm the place up for some of our more delicate lovelies. Supervet is doing feet/claws etc ATM and they all seem to love the attention many falling asleep under the ministrations! :D

Paul is prepared to run the hoover round or load the dishwasher but his overall standard is definitely not good enough

Delphine is doing really well thank you she is busy as ever and as gentle and kind as ever with a glint in her eyes which shows she knows...everything

Barbara MIL was cheeky as ever, but thoroughly enjoyed her chat to us all. Same old stories, but none of us mind at all listening to them :)

I am very pleased to hear there is an order prohibiting neighbour's ex from coming in the road. You will all need to be super-vigilant while she is away. I hope she enjoys the break from it all.

Kath it is probably 25 years since I went to the Broadmarsh shame it's a dump. the did up our Bullring in Brum which became a dump, but was once amazing/

I have to agree with Barbara the slums look better than it does ATM

    Best get on now

    Busy busy

    Love

Afternoon all, nice to be here at a kind of normal time of day.

As you say Joan, back to the usual hectic schedule, lol. We intend to have at least two days of going nowhere. We need some time at home, to catch up, it is like wishy washy's laundry here. If it doesn't move, it has been miltoned, if it does, it is going in the washer (apart from the puskins).

Joggers do keep you warm when you are out, I am always in joggers when indoors, nice and comfy.

Hi Mig, lovely to see you, so you are in wishy washy's laundry too :lol: I do know Wollaton Park very well, spent many a day there, loved the huge glass house with all the wonderful plants in. The Hall is quite impressive too.

Nice that the weather was good and the frozen yogurt sounds yummy.

I can imagine that Broad Marsh is a dump now, there used to be shops in the bus station area as I recall. Just trying to think the last time I saw it, about 1988 I would guess, blimey, that's a long time ago.

Hi Barbara, I like ironing, I can shuffle about and potter, as long as there is a breeze coming through I am ok, if not, I melt. Last night was SO bloomin warm I was beside myself.

I will pop a picture on FB, the one our Niece took is a really good one, I will ask her if I can copy and put in on my time line, so everyone can see it.

Yes, you were supposed to be our star gazing last night. Not sure if it will be cloudy with you, I think rain is on the way, heavy too. We saw three, so I will send you a wish :)

We have been keeping up with the tennis, Roger was beaten in the final at Montreal, by Zverev, the 20 year old, who is just a tour de force at the moment. Roger was really gutted, he looked quite unwell at the press conference, we suspect he will pull out of Cincinatti this week. He was grey and weary. Just heard, he is not playing at Cincinatti, so Rafa is number 1 in the world now.

You have you middle GD there, I hope she enjoyed a lie in.

Keeping you eyes peeled for Mr not nice person, creeping about.

Toni has a wet man in the garden  :? , digging out, ready for the conifers coming out. I think your weather is heading our way up country.

I thought Miss Sleek might blush, bless her. Apparently they have been up to Pendle this morning and moved the broomstick, into the woods nearby. Deep in one of the ravines as we call them, they are about 100 foot deep, steep sided and wooded, so no way can we get to see, only puskins can get down there. They both came back covered in twigs and leaves  :? They say there are wood Nymphs down there too.

Pepe was ok with the doggie pictures, until Miss Sleek showed him a Shar - Pei, then he fainted  He likes the Papillon, with the big ears, but could not cope with all the skin on the Shar Pei.

I am keeping up with my pain killers, higher doses of Tramadol for a few days and things will settle, if not, never mind, not a lot one can do. :?
I will put the pic on FB later, when I have asked our Niece's permission to use her photo. Only Polite to ask :)

I am sure the preening and toe clipping will be done by now, maybe he could try to trim Pepe's claws...................then again, maybe not eh.

We are both as bad as each other, our meaning of clean, is not the average "i have cleaned that" - oh, right, thank you............. :? :? then I sneak off and check

I am very glad to hear that Rev Delphine is happy and has the same look that Dad used to have, a kind of look that means, I know you know............. :D:D It's a Clergy thing, they have a direct line to Higher Places.

Glad MIL enjoyed her visitation :) We always have the same stories from Dad.

Right, it is pill time, I will sort them out, then leave some cakes out for T. Be right back.

That was longer than I thought, there were crumbs in the biscuit tin, so I had to clean it all out. I know, crumbs, in a biscuit tin  Not that I am FUSSY   Toni knows what I mean, lol :lol:

Oh Kath, that cake is perfect, all the lovely butterflies on it, wonderful. Hope you are feeling a little less ouchy. I will put the kettle on and we can have some cakes and Tea.

Love to everyone, here and about, Kerrin, Carol, Elizabeth, Charrisse, Christine and all.............

I will be back later :) Take care XXX Aidan

Some soft carrot cheesecake to go with Kaths wonderful creation.

Oh no! Crumbs in the biscuit tin shudder!! Horror of horrors!! We have had breadcrumbs in the bread bin today

Aidan 2 days ought to see you back ahead of your pain I think. I know it was worth it though :) and will nip over to fbook tomorrow to see the photo

Gosh no! skin on dogs :? Poor Pepe!! She is looking for more and more unsightly canines she loves it when he faints. Makes her all motherly :?

Aha that explains all the twigs and grass after I cleaned the floor too  Nymphs? That is probably true.

Do you know when their Advanced test is booked for? I haven't asked, but she's been practising lots loop the loops double-twister-spins-with-vole-in-mouth-turning- into-double-pike-skimming-the-surface-of-a-mole-hill.

The man has been doing a great job you know clearing out ready for the conifers to go. He's a hard worker right enough.

Oh yes the Revs do indeed have contacts which we don't as well as tact, diplomacy and genuine empathy. They go above and beyond. Luckily your Dad and Delphine also had/have a wicked sense of humour.

TWO CAKES!! Carrot cheesecake and wow that oh so pretty cake of Kath's!!

thanks Kath :) very welcoming indeed!!

mig Nottingham is a great place don't want the Broadmarsh letting the area down. Smelly? Oh dear me.

I hope there's not too much disruption.

Onwards and upwards celebrity BB on TV please don't tell anyone

Evening to all, wet and very warm here. I knew that putting the AC away, was a bad idea.........

I knew you would know just what I meant Toni, you had crumbs in the bread bin, OMGoodness, I hope there was a lot of fussing, to remove them :)

That reminds me, an extra Tramadol, won't be a moment. The sharp pains are easing a little and returning to their usual levels, hurty, but keeping them as dull as possible.

It is 0015am and something has just landed on the roof? :? Both of us looked at each other and Pepe put his pig ears on, was it Miss Sleek, no, not at this time, in the pouring rain. An owl perhaps? We will go with the owl option.

I am not going out to look, nope, not a chance. B can look.

I have missed asking our Niece about the photo and it is too late now to message her. I will do today and add it to FB. Promise.

I think Miss Sleek has a very Motherly nature, you are right, she chooses some very strange pictures to show Pepe and he is gone, in a heap. I notice there are smelling salts dotted around. I think she had a picture of a Wolf, baying at the moon, well, that gave him the colly wobbles, even Cookie went under the covers !!

Yes, Nymphs and "other little people" apparently. Far be it for me to question what lives in the forests.

We have had nothing down the chimney, regarding the advanced test at Hogwarts. Maybe if we ring the switchboard and check if a letter has been dispatched? It will come from Mr Potter, as chief of examinations, he has to set the date. Your guess is as good as mine :?

Pepe has been doing some extra stretching and some secret flying in the woods, at great speed, avoiding obstacles and catching insects in his net. A vole in the mouth would be a step too far :lol:  It seems their test would not be far away.

I think Miss Sleek must have video'd the training, he was VERY impressed.

Glad the gardener has done a good job of making ready for the removal of conifers.

Rev's do have a direct line. We always called Mum, Reverend Mother  She was very wise, very quiet, due to being very deaf, but she could lip read VERY well and I am sure she was telepathic.

A sense of humour is paramount in such a chosen vocation.

Two cakes, I know, we will save some of the wonderful cake from Kath, it is in the cake tin on the side, all the carrot cheesecake has gone.

Celeb BB, oh Toni, how could you :lol: we used to love it, but not any more. Tennis is all consuming.

Goodness me, this has taken me an age to write, with umpteen potters, feedings for Pepe, making T, taking pills, washing up, more pottering.

High time I said n night. Everyone take lots of care, love to all, hugs far and wide. XX Aidan

    Hi everyone.

Been laying low for a few days. The chest infection won't budge and am tired of coughing. Saw the doctor this morning, now have antibiotics and the joy of going to the hospital later for a chest x-ray. Also my markers from my blood tests are low so am waiting to hear back from the Rheumy dept at the hospital.

And in between all the coughing managed to go up London yesterday for a wedding dress fitting. It was straight in and back. The doc said I looked stressed this morning. He might have a point.

Hope everyone is ok. Tomicat is on his sofa and Jericat out on her broomstick.
