Evening to all, well, it is now just turned into morning :) Late as ever. Those hours I found in the shed, seem to have been used up already

Hi Joan, glad that you are now home safe and sound, it was a pleasure to come along with you, for moral support and hand holding as required.
Good to hear that you can choose when to wear the boot and that they are making some ankle boots to give you extra support. :)

You will need a day to recover from all those appointments now.

Hi Toni, oh that cake, I could face plant into that one and not come up for air for quite a while :lol::lol:

Yes, definitely use you favourite chemist. I have met some rather snotty staff in pharmacies over the years. Are you taking any other medicine? Yes, 20 different prescriptions, shall I read them to you !!!

It was nice to pop over to Skipton, see the staff in Nero's, big hugs were very welcome and the coffee was wonderful.

Bless, Kath was a little tired, at least Hermione had put some click clack beds in the cloak, very useful, as was the loo, much better to have our own.
You did well to keep the Bush Babies in the cloak, they are little terrors and little paws are out before you know it.
I think turning the "boot" into a garden feature is a good idea, some trailing lobelia perhaps.

Pepe and Miss Sleek have put the address of the bridal store into their broomsticks, I heard them talking at nap time, no flying as it has been pouring with rain again.
So he wants a Lame' waistcoat, I see, that will cost me no doubt :?
Seeing as he has already spent his pocket money on emergency food supplies for someone by the name of Sleek

Pepe thinks you are all off on a rocket, into deep space. I tried to explain that Benidorm does have its share of "oddities", but it is on the same planet as ours :lol: and only 2 hours away on a plane, not the Star Ship Enterprise.

Jericat, her test on Thursday, gosh, that has come round quick. I think Miss Sleek and Pepe have it all in paw.

Of course your village will come first next year, the photo is lovely, how proud indeed. 8) 8) Way to go.

It is a good job that Diddicat is not bothered by 8 legged creatures. I had one in one of my wardrobes a while back, that was a bit ALARMING   BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I cannot stop thinking of the poor kids next door to Barbara's, breaking in, Police there, goodness. Barbara you are a star to look after them and offer comfort. They will be ok, as will Mum, in time. As Toni said, the best lawyer possible. Everything is stacking up very quickly in Mum's favour, given the behaviour of the Father.

Cakes, cuppa and AB's for Charley. hope she is ok.

A quiet evening here, B is busy with some chain mail bracelets, I am fussing with some washing / drying, in between writing.

Hi to everyone, Carol, somewhere in the Med :) Kerrin, supervising the tennis tournament, Kath, not too ouchy I trust. Christine, the same, hope your hand is easier this week.
Elizabeth, leaving hugs to you all.
Whoever I missed, apologies for my Tramadol fog.

All the lovelies are happy away in their sanctuary, most are sleeping apart from the Bush Babies, Owls, Blush and the Sloths. The Llamas and Alpaca's fleeces are growing very quickly.
Our Locum vets are on tonight, very nice they are too, plus two lady keepers.

OK, I am away. Wish us luck at the Bridal Megastore

Take care all, I might not get on until late evening, depending on dresses etc..........Love XXX Aidan

    Morning everyone.

Tennis tournament going well. Somehow we managed to avoid the rain yesterday and get everything done. Hoping for the same today or at least the rain arriving later.

Jericat is hard at work studying for her test. She keeps crashlanding her broom in the field. Tomicat not too impressed, he is too busy trying to impersonate Garfield. 74b0d537b059a6b284689fc74f15d1ed.jpg

All this talk of cake, yum. Trying to be good, have a wedding in just under 4 weeks.

Coughing and spluttering a bit. My brother kindly shared a bug with me while in SA and with my messed up immune system, it's lurking!

Tomcat!! He looks adorable Kerrin and yes that is a great Garfield impersonation

Jericat has her theory on Thursday then she can put in for her practical. I wonder why the crash-landing :? is she trying out some tricks?

I hope it stays dry for you and your bro's cold goes away ASAP. My Paul has one too and is struggling a bit.

You will look perfect for your wedding am certain :)

Wednesday blessing thank you and, well, pastries for breakfast Aidan yum :D

AS for the cake from yesterday I could also trough indefinitely in it :)

Mackintoshes, sou'westers and galoshes ready for the off for both pipe and Miss Sleek. They cannot wait to go to the mega-bridal store :D:D:D Never fear Miss Sleek has her pocket money ready for them both to spend so I expect they will be sparkling later. I hope the actual bride-to-be gets a look-in

Jericat's theory test is definitely in paw no problem guaranteed pass I hear.

I am the same with 8-legged creatures....Paul!!!!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!

Lobelia would trail lovely out of Joan's old boot  Wonder what the doc would think?

I'm not surprised you can't stop thinking about Barbara's neighbour's husband I am the same! Horrible behaviour :x Kids just so innocent in it all do not deserve it.

I have a little ironing to do later, but that's about all I think......more chainmail bracelets - lovely. Does he feel ready for the craft fayre?

I have been around the zoo with fruit and bottles of milk :) How does Barbara find the time to make them all up? Do the assistant keepers help her? The Meerkats are cross about the rain

No rush to get on you enjoy your 'helping' at the dress shop :D
    h015.gif

A quick wave to Joan a010.gif I bet it feels odd without that boot :?

Love to all our missing friends

Ah that's it Barbara!! I can see how you are so fast at doing all those bottles now  I bet you have got used to the taste then if you have to syphon it to get it started :?

Yes the police will see it as a civil matter whereas smashing doors in is criminal. I hope the solicitor can help the lady and she gets legal aid. I hope the horrible man lives to regret his actions :(

As for my injury it's itching today like mad so healing well as my Mum used to say  Thanks for asking and the bruise on my hip is all colours now too

I hope all is peaceful today for your poor neighbour and her children.

    Love

We did the Sawley Trail this morning - in the pouring rain. :o As we perched on a wall (Chris) and my rollator (me) a lovely lady stopped to see if we were OK, we told her we were just having a rest, she offered to give us a lift to the Co-op. What a charming lady, she didn't know us us from Bonnie and Clyde.

Tomcat (used to be one of my schooldays nicknames) looks really comfy. :D

What a wet horrible day. Tennis was cut short which means a longer day tomorrow. Cold is worse and in my chest, so am coughing and spluttering. Not taking my methotrexate tonight!

Tomicat has been grumpy all day. Not sure he can be called adorable! He does not like the rain. Jeri has been out practicing and is now sopping wet.

Barbara, hope things work out for your neighbour.

    Happy Birthday Joan and Sue.

Finally, a little sit down and some time......................what a day.

    Firstly, hi to all.

Kerrin, enjoy those cakes, they are everlasting, the cream one is just bliss on a plate.
Glad the tennis tournament is going ok and not rained off at the moment.
Jericat will be fine, the pass on the theory is a matter of course. I think she is a little nervy practicing flying, Pepe was forever in a heap, or up a tree, clinging on with all four paws. Then he got  air sick...........Miss Sleek had her work cut out. Loving the photo :)

Between you and me, the certificate is already done, for passing her theory, it was picked up by Hermione and checked, then Miss Sleek and Pepe had a look and added their paw marks. So, pretend you know nothing and the surprise will be for Miss JC. Tomicat will follow suit, Miss Sleek will bat her eyes.

4 weeks to the wedding, wow, that came around very quickly. All will be just fine.
Kind of your Brother to share a chesty bug with you while you were away in SA. Lurking, mmmm, we don't like lurking bugs :?

I see that the lurking is likely turning into a chest infection me thinks. Def no MTX tonight and maybe a check up with GP or Practice Nurse.

So the rains came and put paid to the tennis and now it is catch up time. Take care, don't push on too hard if you are not feeling well.

So Tomicat is grumpy, oh dear, maybe Pepe and Miss Sleek will drop by and give some treats out, when no one is looking.

    Bless, Miss J all drenched.

Hi Toni, we need a cake fight with that Italian cream sponge :) Throw as much as you like, I will work my way through it :lol:

Well, we had a long day, from 10, and not back home till 4.30. I did far far too much walking, so it is payback time, but no matter.

The bridal place was a huge let down. Rows of wedding dresses all lined up in well worn plastic bags, it was busy, so it was "name - email, post code, choose 4 dresses, then take them to the changing areas and then you wait in a long queue to try them on, oh, men, oh, right, you can go to the far end so you cannot see any ladies changing, then your friend can come and show you". :?

We wandered down one side, looking through, no, no, no, oh my days no, no, no, possible.............M chose three and they were put on the rack to join the queue. "if you want to go for a coffee we will ring when the queue is going down, should be about 45 minutes wait"

So off we go, all of us thinking what a horrid place. No way are we going back in there. The coffee place she had suggested looked like an old greasy spoon and there was no way you would have got me through the doors.

Just down road, a new shopping mall, wonderful italian coffee house, so we had our coffee and cakes, then said, what about Debenhams. Walked in, very first dress, OMG is is perfect, just what the Bride wanted, found glam shoes to match, everything..............staff were amazing, people were saying how lovely M looked. Not a wedding gown, but a long flapper style dress, glittery and just lovely. SORTED. Ignored the phone calls from the Bridal shop :lol: Everything for just over a £100. WOW.

Then we were fading, I was in agony, but carried on. We went back to the nice coffee shop, via some vertiginous escalators   and had lunch, which was just wonderful.

Pepe and Miss Sleek were horrified with the big bridal place too, they were off before us and into the shopping mall, like kids in a sweet shop, Miss Sleek was looking at rings  :? Pepe tried on a lovely cat suit. Miss Sleek had a very nice silk outfit that she took a shine to. We heard tills ringing and then they were gone to the vaults, to play crazy golf, I know, it was one amazing Mall.

Walked back to the car - put the sat nav to HOME and back we came. All in all a successful day, bridal place aside.

Of course Pepe was home and asleep, long before we arrived. They have a turn of speed on those broomsticks.

I am sure the Dr would love to see the "boot" used to its full potential  Lobelia it is, we shall plant it up, if that's ok Joan.

I think Bill is ready for the fayre, as ready as possible, still four weeks to go, to make some more, he wants plenty of stock with him. Business cards ordered :)

I think the assistant keepers are on hand to make sure there is plenty of feed bottles, just to give Barbara a break, especially with the time she is having, looking after her neighbour and the children.

Thank you for popping in to see the animals and sort out their feeds.

Hoe is the nasal washing going? I see you wounds are itching, yes, a good sign and a good sign not to scratch and pick, says me, who would do just that.   Glad they are mending and I am sure the bruises are all colours of the rainbow.

Hi Barbara, so the Police have been round again. No, they don't get involved in Civil matters in the UK, as they do in other countries.
I hope she gets on ok with the Solicitor and they can help her and assist with legal aid if needed. Good to hear that her Brother is coming up and then her Sisters at the Week End. Maybe the "husband" had better steer clear if her Brother is there to support his Sister and the children.

I will get a pic of the jewellery, we found a lovely box for it to go in while we were out today.

Don't be drinking too much animal milk :lol:

I think Karma is certainly present, people do in haste and often repent at leisure as my Dad used to say.

It was lovely to get hugs at Nero's, they always say, come in more often, but they understand and know why we visit less nowadays.

Hi Kath, you were on the Sawley trail and took a rest. There are some lovely people around, including all of us :) How kind of her to offer a lift back to the Co op. Restores ones faith in humanity. Hope you didn't get drenched, I know there has been a lot of rain in the East Midlands.
So you were called Tomcat, ahhh.

Joan and Sue, belated Happy Birthday greetings, I hope you had a lovely day. Here is a little cake for you to enjoy. Lots of Love XX

    9a5adae7f6d68981e48697dabc5e0ccf.jpg

Mum is not so good, we rang tonight, she says she is not feeling right, cannot put a handle on what, I think maybe a water infection, maybe due to her lower potassium levels. We said to go to the Dr or Sister today. I know she won't want to as it is her 80th Birthday and her Brother and SIL are coming up today from Swindon for a few days, then there is the big meal out on Saturday. Trouble is we cannot force someone to go to the surgery, but I will ask for a home visit if I am not 100% happy. My Aunt is a retired nurse too, so she will be on duty at Mum's as well.

I think that is me about done for today. It is going up for 1am, so I will away and potter.

Leaving hugs for everyone, here, near and far. Everyone take lots of care. N Night XXXX Aidan

Kath how lovely are people!! Once when we were in Brum shopping with Lucy and she needed a rest (just before the 'old' Bullring) a lady and her daughter brought her a bottle of water :D

Tomcat!! One of your nicknames :)

Hi Joan a very happy Belated birthday to you and Sue

    t3332.gif

From my lot especially Lucy wo always asks after you all.

Kerrin I am so sorry you feel so rough Paul has a cold too and by the heck is it man flu!!!! I need help. I hope the tennis goes ok today it's a good day here.

Sleek has been on catazon and got a mackintosh, sou'wester and galoshes for miss Jericat. Got some tuna for Tomcat so he doesn't feel left out

Theory test today all paws and fingers are crossed including those in our sanctuary :D (even if we do know it's a dead cert Hermione knows Jericat knows her theory)

Cake fight Aidan? I'm in!!!!!!!!!!! m0106.gif

oh no duck......straight in your face.......

Oops!! Missed and went up the wall

    Will clean up later..... :?

Having some continental breakfast first thanks....

I heard about the amazing dress place  Miss Slimkins and Pepe were so disappointed I cannot tell you - even more than M was :( They had probably got over-exited to be fair.

They did like Debenhams though...both got something Pepe his lamé waistcoat (pink) and Sleek two new Tiaras so both happy. I'm really not at all sure about the cat suit :? rings? Nobody told me that bit. I bet they were good at golf? After all their croquet practise!

I am so glad that M was happy in the end. :D Every bride should feel special on her day :D I wore a short dress (just not full-length not a mini!) when Paul and I got married as we'd both done it before and I felt a bit old to be going all out!

    Lobelia it is ;)

I am pleased to hear B is all ready for the fayre how long now until it happens?

Thanks for getting help in our sanctuary for Barbara she is rather busy ATM.

I do hope Mum is ok...as you said maybe coming down with a water infection or something :? has she got a temperature?

fingers are crossed. Better she gets something before the visitors all come surely. I know matron is on the case!

Good morning Barbara! I am so glad that your neighbour has so much family support and that they all appreciate your help so much too.

I am relieved she has people around to prevent more bully-boy tactics :x

Take care everyone who is in and those who haven't too ((()))

    Evening to one and all
boy, these days are vanishing SO fast.

Slowly recovering from yesterdays shopathon. Knees like melons, back shouting, pomphlyx appearing overnight  apart from that I am FINE :lol: :?

Hi Toni, Miss Sleek was telling Pepe all about the human lurgy that Paul has, she said he is not handling it too well. Pepe didn't faint though, so that was good.
Sorry Paul, I do hope you feel better asap, get well vibes are on their way :)

Miss Sleek has been busy on Catazon, boy can she shop, as we all found out on Wednesday. They were both very happy with their purchases, the tiara's are well sparkly.

The suspense is over, Ms Jericat has successfully passed her theory test, Hermione sent her the certificate late this evening. Happy puskins, Pepe and Miss Sleek were allowed to use a transportation spell to go see her and Tomicat.

They all now share the Triwizard Cup Lamp, three were needed to be awarded this by Hogwarts and three puskins there are. I think Tomicat is a little curious now.

When we hear about Pepe and Miss Sleeks exams at Hogwarts, more gifts will be bestowed on those who complete the tasks and the lamp will contain many good magic powers. :o  Miss Sleek is in awe

Yes, M was very happy with the dress and shoes etc. They were just made for her :) I bet your dress looked very nice too, shorter ones are quite popular, tea length or something like that.

The fayre is on the 9th September, so not long now. There is another scoop in the pipeline too, regards the jewellery :) Will not say any more until it is confirmed, don't want any jink's.

Mum was a little more back to herself today, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and the lovely flowers. You are all so kind.

Her Brother and SIL arrived from Swindon today, they stopped off here, to leave the wonderful cakes to put on the table at the country pub on Saturday. Then we went round and had a cuppa with everyone.
Mum is kind of OK, I don't think it is an infection, more a progression of things.
She will enjoy all the family being here this week end. B's Brothers are coming up with their families too, Niece and her partner, Nephew and his family...........19 of us.

I doubt I will get a chance to post much on Saturday.

The cake fight was AWESOME :cake: what a mess, in your face eh, way too much fun......

Thank you for helping to clean up the mess. I know Barbara saw us throwing cakes all over :lol:

Sounds like the sinus washes are not really having much effect, as you say, run the course and then re evaluate.

Hi Barbara - it has been a nice day, very warm at one stage, I was on the verge of being too hot, but it passed.

I will indeed pass on the ((())) to Mum, quietly, when we see them this morning.
She has not been to the Drs, I think it is just part and parcel of her diagnosis, with my nursey hat on.

She was thrilled with the jewellery that B had made for her Birthday, peridot and ruby trilogy.

The wedding dress shop was horrid, we could not wait to get out and forget all about it. Still, the right dress etc was found in an instant in Debenhams, it was just there, waiting.

Oh dear, have you been drinking too much pet milk, best get a pump, to start the process of bottling, we don't want you

I hope you neighbour was ok at the Solicitors and you have been so kind looking after the youngsters, nice to hear that they are very polite. Some Indian foods, wonderful, I might need a midnight snack, thank you..................Veggie too, lovely :)

Thank you for the flowers for Mum, very kind :)

Hi Kath, I like the nick names, lol. I remember the school, the name rings a bell, if you pardon the pun.

Don't worry about snoring under the cape, it is pretty well sound proofed, so feel free :)

Hope you bloods are ok. No, I didn't read about the poor man, who did not have any tests done by the Dr. Terrible.

Hi Joan, I hope you both had a lovely day, the cake looked beautiful, glad you enjoyed it.
I am sure Mum will enjoy all the family being here this week end. Tiring, but enjoyable.

Ah, more flowers, thanks Toni, I will pass them on. So, I have surprised you by appearing, like a bad penny :lol:

Make sure you keep away from Paul's man flu

I thought you might have heard a rumour about Jericat's test results :)

Kerrin I hope you are feeling better, I know you have a busy week.

Carol will be sailing the Sea and enjoying life aboard ship.

Christine I hope you are ok, hands better and no more hedge cutting.

Right I had better move myself. We (that is 6 of us) will be at the GC this morning, lots of coffee and scones will be consumed :) rain forecast, but that's ok, it would never keep me away from good coffee and cakes.

Everyone take lots of care. Love to all XXX Aidan

How beautiful is the secret garden this Friday morning.

Morning everyone. Spent another night coughing. Getting rather irritated with it now! Just love my immune system.

Tennis went well yesterday but it was a very long day. We lost the use of 2!courts due to being slippery from the rain on Wednesday.!Finals today so only have 7 matches. But down the road at the school 50 off 8'and 9 year olds will be terrorising my assistant!

The is some excitement in cat vile. Jericat is whizzing around on her broom in celebration of assign her test. Tomicat still maintains there is no way they are twins. Sleeping is way easier.

Yum, breakfast looks great. And nothing can keep you from coffee and cakes.

My bloods were done this week as well. On monthly blood tests now. First thing to tell new head teacher on first day back to school, oh by the way I'll be late tomorrow, I have a blood test.

Off to try get some more sleep.

For those interested: had to laugh at the huge pic of Diana, the story is nothing to do with her.

Aidan, the secret garden is absolutely gorgeous. Yes, Mundella was very close to Trent Bridge. It was a grammar school when I was there, it's a housing estate now.

I don't know why, but I always feel so cold, my Costo chondritis is playing me up, and I've just received my bowel cancer test back. I have to do another one as it wasn't clear. and I'm so tired. I can barely keep my eyes open. Just shoot me now, or send me some Bush Babies. :?
