Toni, I've found your al-fresco breakfast. Oh no, it's Aidan's. What a delight, sitting among the wild flowers (are they mignonettes or Feverfew. Or are they the same?) Thank you. Amaretto cheesecake WOW taptaptap TAP TAP whoops, almost tripped but here goes
SPLAT (sigh) Monsieur, you are really spoiling us.
Well, fair's fair. My treat today is Millionaire’s Shortbread, presumably because they are so rich, they consist of a layer of crumbly shortbread, a layer of soft caramel and a layer of chocolate.
Oh dear, Carol has rain. Sunny here. We are very glad you haven't been kidnapped, and we enjoy your company - put up with you indeed. t4591 t4591
I won't pry into Hermione's activities. I'm sure all will be revealed in good time.
Joan and Sue, are you both here today? Hope the carers treat Sue well, and appreciate Joan's help. t115006 t115006

I know the children love her ...

Afternoon to all - a pleasantly cool day, perfect for immaculising, dedustification, washing, drying, fussing and pottering In fact it is quite windy, not used to such weather
I have no clues yet, as tot he mysterious sighting of Hernione, in the Enchanted Forest.
Sleek has told Tosca what it is about, she sent a note, with vanishing ink. As soon as Tosca read it, the shortpaw note, was gone. She was shrieking hysterically up and down the hall this morning, so I am assuming it is something wonderful.  t115006 t115006
It was quite funny really, Dad pottering about in his dressing gown. Indeed, he can take his time, nothing to rush for and we always go round that bit early, to give him chance to catch up.
Oh yes, the GC was lovely, the coffee seemed extra special, the lady who runs the big coffee machine / bar / etc, knows just how we like it.
So the al fresco breakfast is not visible, not to worry, it is lovely and glad you enjoyed it.
Now then Paul, Sleek wants to keep the box a little while longer. He is very keen on his recycling, admirable
You are still in t4591 with your new Dyson and you have to try and fix MIL's Dyson. Bon courage.
Glad to hear the Tia's shoes are sorted and a glam hair slide thingamybob. Tosca was saying that she will need to practice in her kitten heels, as her back end is a bit wobbly  :?
So, the puskins have some Hogwarts chocolate that they tuck into when no one is about. More than likely why she was a little yesterday.
No, neither of us are fruit people. Very occasionally we will buy some blueberries and have them with a teeny little bit of cream
B is not a chocolate lover either. Once every Preston Guild, he will get a taste for it and eat his way through a bar. Now, I get a taste for it every day, but I restrict myself to one row, 5 squares.
So you are still attacking the ironing, glad I did all ours yesterday. All dusted, fussed and cleansed Happy boy.
I love the Bosch just as much as you like the Dyson, they are on a par with each other, they can pick the carpet up quite easily and get more out of the carpet than the plug in vax.
Thought you might like the Amaretto cheesecake. A little moreish to say the least.
Some artificial sweeteners can have an "effect" on the system. These are the biggest culprits mannitol, sorbitol, xylitol, lactitol, and maltitol.
Aspartame seems to be ok and accesulfame. They tend to be in biscuits etc. The biscuits I get that are sugar free have those in and are so sweet you would never know the difference
Thank you Joan, we will pop down and have some chocolate with you, call in and see Uncle and Aunt who live in the same town, while we are there
I hope you had a nice time out and the weather was in your favour. Managed to get all the shopping you needed and have a coffee and cake per chance.
so you can see the al fresco breakfast Kath, that's good, I was thinking had I posted it correctly.
I do like to treat us to yummy cakes. We are spoiled, it is true.
Love Millionaires shortbread, very very moreish, one square is not enough and two is almost too much   Thank you, I will try and eat two, if I can
I hope you are both feeling a bit better, shaking off those nasty virus's. t115006 t115006
I was reading that Norovirus is going around, well, it is always doing the rounds, just that it seems to be called the winter sickness bug, mainly because people are in enclosed areas, with less natural ventilation, that gives the bug chance to spread like mad.
I remember when I was training, we had to have our little red book, of skills, ticked off, one of them was "how to ventilate the ward correctly" Windows were opened first thing, come rain or shine. Never did any harm.
I have just had mackerel for lunch and B had pilchards, shared with Tosca, who had stopped screeching, but she found her immaculised powder room, all freshly bleached and has gone round the house at high speed.
We need to cast a spell, to prevent nausea from coffee and chocolate - I will get Sleek and Tosca to look in their spell book. Sleek has it in her ickle house. t115006 t115006
Did the breakfast not appear for you too. How strange. :? :?
Oh bless, the lady passing away, you said she was saying it was her time to go. I am not surprised your GD is upset, always a sign of a good carer / nurse. The day such things do not upset you, is the day to stop.
Glad you enjoyed lunch and a cuppa while Mr B went to see what books were on offer.
Well, it is coming up to pill time, I can tell. Mother tosca will be needing hers too.
I will pop back later. Hi to everyone else, Carol, Christine, Kerrin, Mig Today DD SW and all t4591 t115006 love and sparkles to all XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Hi to all t4591
A quiet and uneventful evening here, siesta was welcome, to ease the joints. Even Mother Tosca was quiet and went straight to sleep, or so it seemed :? :?
I think Sleek was over, I found glitter, and some catsies of them wearing some of Sleeks tiaras.
Tosca was rather taken with this one, elegant yet demure
Sleek was drawn to this ensemble, the more sparkles, the better
I think Mother was trying out her kitten heel shoes, there was a lot of tippy tapping, whoops, in the hall
I see CBB is on again and already there is uproar about derogatory words being used and rightly so.
Are you and Lucy watching it Toni? I know you like CBB. We always used to watch BB, in its early years.
Have you finally put the new Dyson on charge and left it alone for a while
Carol, I hope you and Mr T are ok, you will have had lunch out and then coffee in the afternoon.
Has Mr T sorted his phone, or is it least said, soon as mended.
hope your GD and baby Rubie are doing well. t4591
Not sure how long Kerrin is away for, but trusting that she is having a lovely time with family and friends.
The puskins have cast a spell of anti nausea, so you can try a little chocolate Barbara, maybe not at the same time as a cup of coffee though Not sure how strong the spell is :? :? there was a lot of wand wafting and sparks flying. t115006
I have eaten as many millionaires shortbread as is humanly possible Kath, very nice they are too. They make their own in the T rooms. I think everything is homemade, which makes things extra yummy.
How are you and Chris feeling, any better. Some ((())) for any ouchies in the hips.
We are off to the T rooms this morning. Dad wants some "bits" from the department stores DIY department. I like to look at all the wonderful kitchen appliances, some of the coffee machines are amazing, like £1000 and up   but they are SO nice and would sit very well on the counter top in the kitchen.
Just got an email, news about your lottery ticket. We won £7.30, matched 3 numbers on the Euromillions. A win is a win, no matter how small
On that exciting note I will do some pottering.
Love hugs and sparkles to one and all t4591 t115006 t115006
Catch you later. Take care XXX Aidan

Oooh now I can see that breakfast bread Aidan! That's one of our 5 a day too
The Dyson was allowed to charge yesterday yes after only one use
I took Kari to the little GC the one with the antiques in it for lunch and a browse.....I tried her vegan coffee with soya milk and it was actually ok    I know - shocking!!
I looked up and who did I see but one of the neighbours from the village so she came in and met my sister and as suspected they love each other!
Kari bought some pots and 3 tiny buddleias in blue pink and white for a bit of garden she has ready.
A quick nip into Tesco then Charley and GF popped into see Kari which was nice. Then home in time to get ready for out
Mind you we had a good laugh and a little to drink at the neighbour's who we had bumped into!! Not a late night as Paul was of to Cardiff this morning at 04:30
Aidan something dreadful has happened :? I am NOT watching CBB. Not interested at all so unlike me isn't it? Maybe the 'real' BB will be different I have watched every single one. My Mum used to too and when she died I had all her note books where she used to write her opinions on the different contestants
BB got me through so much! Split up with kids dad, loss of my Dad, loss of my Mum and Lucy's leukaemia :? what can I do? Life is too short to waste on rubbish telly.
How lovely are those tiaras?? The girls look fabulous in them don't they? I think those ought to be the ones for the big day. Mrs D'arcey is opting for a hat to compliment her grey fur I believe….
Enjoy the Tea rooms and bets of luck with dad's bits and pieces shopping. as for the lottery win - the coffees are on you
Barbara have you got tamed birds or have they tamed you??!!
I am very sad for your GD bless her. Charley was the same when her favourite lady died in her arms. You do get stronger send her our love ((()))
Glad you also had lunch out at your little café aren't we a decadent lot?!!
I see Sleek and Tosca have locate an anti-nausea spell for the chocolate, but only small amounts so be careful....
Oh Kath I missed a lovely place for breakie too I would have loved an al-fresco breakie too
Thank you for the millionare's shortbread. I can mange one and two is too much like Aidan so maybe we ought to have one and a half??
Joan I bet the carers love Sue and you They will appreciate the help you give them. It's good to have a day out once a week a bit of a change does us all good

Morning all
Toni I used to watch BB in the early days but it went so crude..such a shame when it helped you so much..maybe we should all apply .. can you just imagine that..
Its must be so lovely spending time with your sister and showing her round places..and extra nice to meet up with a neighbour.. yes I think the blackbirds have tamed me..Im a soft target.. so Paul was off at 4.30... gosh he will be tired tonight..is Charley still a carer..I did wonder if it was right for our GD..she does get down..
Aiden you are back to proper coffee.. thankyou for the cherry and orange bread..its looks so good..so there is a spell for chocolate and coffee but not at the same time..that will do for now
I totally agree with the opening of windows in hospitals..they get to warm and bugs thrive.. I love the pics of the cats with tiaras..how posh ...but the second one looks a bit bemused...
The lady that passed away has sent red rose to our GD and the other carers..she left a note for the nurses..she was always buying flowers for people..so lovely..
Joan I hope the weather is kind today now I am already feeling a chill some nights..this is me that was melting.. you are right the time is flying past..must say I do love Autumn..
Kath thankyou for the Millionaires-Shortbread..I do like that..and hope that you and Chris are feeling a little better..
better move

I had Norovirus in the winter. It lasted 48 hours. Don't want it again thank you. But I have been getting very hungry - then when I eat my tummy aches and I get very windy in the bowel region. :? Chris is almost back to normal, just extra tired with a pain in the neck. - I'm saying nowt. BTW, thank you for the Cherry and Orange, Pull Apart Breakfast Bread. I might wear one of those tiaras while eating it. Mother's I think, and I might try some kitten heels. Erm maybe not, I would definitely trip over.
Stuffed marrow rings
Ingredients
1 medium sized marrow, top and tailed
100g (4oz) fresh breadcrumbs
3tbsp milk
225g (8oz) vegetarian Cheddar cheese, grated
50g (2oz) pine nuts, roughly chopped
1tsp dried basil
Salt and freshly-ground black pepper
Method
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F, gas mark 5). Slice the marrow into 3cm (1¼ in) thick rounds. Cut away and discard the seeds from the centre to form rings. Place in a greased ovenproof dish in a single layer.
Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk for 2 mins. Mix with 175g (6oz) grated cheese, pine nuts and basil. Season to taste.
Fill the marrow with the stuffing and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in the oven for 35-40 mins until the marrow is tender and the cheese is browned."Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Afternoon to all, cloudy, pleasant, nice breeze. The AC unit has been put to bed, for the autumn winter - you wait, it will be cracking the flags in a week or so m0150 m0150
I am very pleased to hear the delicious breakfast was highly visible Toni
It is at least one of our 5 a day, just like our fizzy vitamin C :? :?
The Dyson has had a good charge, all ready for more immaculising. B has been round with the Bosch, as next door and her bestie, are coming round this aft, to look at and pay for pre ordered jewellery, plus lots of nattering no doubt.
You had an enjoyable time at the GC, with Kari, lovely antiques to browse. Vegan coffee and soya milk, well, I would give it a try, as long as I had my usual super strong blend to hand.
One of your neighbours happened along and immediately loves Kari to pieces. That's so nice. I am sure we would all get a long so well, hoots of laughter without a doubt.
The new buddleia will soon grow, our white one is still going strong, but the weather is not to the butterflies liking - they love sunshine.
Charlie and GF have been round too, it's all go...............
I don't blame you for not watching CBB. The only person I know is Kirsty Alley and she was a bit pickled on the night of the show
I have seen the human Ken man, who has had £500,000 worth of cosmetic surgery. Not right, on so many levels.
So your Mum liked BB too, taking notes as to who was doing what and how they were ranking in the house. Must have been sad to read through. Bless ((()))
It always was a bit of escapism, taking your mind off the things that were going on in your life at the time, one difficult event to another. It wasn't a waste of time at all. We all need a route to distract us, takes the sting out a little. t4591 t115006
The tiara's are now saved in Sleeks ickle house, there was a beautiful rose tiara, that Mrs Darcey will look fabulous in her hat, our two had to have BLING.
T rooms were fine, well, it was not one of the usual ladies doing the drinks, so my coffee was not up to par. Soon remedied with an extra double shot.
We had our eggs, mushrooms and toast, then I was a greedy hog and had a scone. :? :? Dad treated us, our turn on Monday at the GC.
The lottery win, will put the lucky dips on for tonight.........one day, one day...........
Tuesday's jackpot is £95 million
There was mist gathering this morning, Sleek was over early doors - I think Mother was still asleep in her gel chair, with Sleek at the helm. The first mists, that nod towards Autumn, are very magical.
Hi Joan, yes, Dad got what he needed, well, B nipped off to get it from the DIY shop, while we pottered over the road to the T room.
I did read that Meghan's Sister was going into CBB, not sure if it was a ruse............no doubt the papers will be full of it, they seem obsessed with minor celebs.
Hi to Sue and the doggies too. t4591
Hi Barbara - yes, CBB and even BB was all about who would be the first to jump into bed with someone else. I remember the very first BB, with Craig, the DIY man, who won and gave all the money to charity.
Imagine us all in the BB house. I would not be playing BB games, I would be far too busy making sure the bathrooms were immaculised.
Oh yes, back to proper coffee, hoorah. I always have a sparkling water with my coffee's, not quite sure why, habit I think :?
The cherry and orange bread is rather tasty and counts as at least one of our five a day
The spell is cast t115006 to ease any nausea, so maybe test a little bit of chocolate. Should be ok.
Oh the wards need a big blast of fresh air, all the countless times we have been, as visitors and also as a patient myself, I have thrown windows open. As you say, the bugs thrive and spread round quite merrily. Bleach, open windows, scrubbing everything in sight, sorted
The puskins will look super chic in their tiara's and Mrs D will be very glam in her new hat and ensemble.
Oh bless her, the lady who passed, sending flowers to all her carers t69044 how lovely of her. t4591
A chill, did I hear that right  B thinks it is turning to Autumn now and look forward to shutting the curtains at 4pm
The neighbour opposite us, had her heating on last night, we could hear the boiler vent
Hi Kath, norovirus is horrid, wipes you out for a few days.
So you have been feeling very hungry, but get tummy ache afterwards and other problems in the gas department. :? :? Have you tried Mebeverine ? It is very good for uncomfortable stomach pains and wind too. You can buy it over the counter at the chemists. Buscopan does the same thing, but I prefer mebeverine. It has no side effects either.
Glad to hear that Chris is feeling more back to normal, even though he is a pain in the neck, ooops, sorry, he has a pain in the neck
Enjoy the tear and share bread.
Thank you for the stuffed marrow, sounds and looks yummy. Will save some for later. t4591
Right, I had best move, I am sure our neighbour will be round fairly soon.
Leaving hugs, love and sparkles to everyone t4591 t115006 will catch up again later. XXX Aidan

Afternoon all
Had a bit of a busy day yesterday Lunch time with Mr T and knitting with my friend in the afternoon it was near her yesterday so was back home later than usual had my tea and sorted out the washing in the dryer. had my tea, then had to make a telephone call to my youngest daughter was talking for quite while to her. A bit more fussing about with bits and pieces. I finally sit to write an update on here and my sister rings up, and I am talking to her for over an hour finish that call and the evening has gone and its time for bed.  where did that day go.
Aidan we are both ok its been a horrendous week going from bad to worse 2 visits to the drs for me one with the eye and then again 3 days later with a swollen lip and face on one side turns out to be 2 nasty mouth ulcers causing it it's still quite sore. 3 days of trouble getting Mr t new mobile up and working and is all ok. Problems with the shop not giving the tiler all the correct information and his tile cutter breaking down on him what should have been done in a day and a half took 2 days and would have gone into the third if Mr T had not told the tiler to just get the tiles up and Mr T would do the grouting himself. things will be back into there rightful home hopefully after next weekend if all goes to plan as that's when the wallpaper is due to go up.
Love sleeks tiaras Tosca looks great in hers
Kath Glad Chris is getting better and best to say nowt Hope your feeling better soon I will send the bushbabies around for a cuddle. Glad you don't want me kidnapped nice to now I have friends who don't want me going missing
Barbara I'm glad too don't fancy being Kidnapped by strange force. Tiling all done now just waiting for wallpaper to go up next weekend if all goes to plan then it will be
complete. noooo dont want to know about christmas yet mind you it will soon come
Toni Tiling looks good now its just the wallpaper to go up and its done finger crossed I will soon be saying it is all complete

Hi to all, is it me, or has it gone very warm this evening - having a "moment" and the fans have gone on. :?
What did I say, as soon as the AC unit has gone to bed for this year, the temperature goes UP
Hi Carol I guessed you would be having a busy Friday, with Mr T for lunch and then meeting your friend for coffee.
One of those evenings that just vanish, oh, we know all about them. Yet more hours confined into the every expanding shed  Lots of chattering and catching up with family on the phone.
Two visits to the Drs, oh dear. I hope your eye is improving and the horrid mouth ulcers too ((()))
Mr T has a working phone now, is it wrapped in bubble wrap, just in case it goes ooops :? :?
Then the tiling went to pot :? oh dear. Seeing the finishing line vanish over the horizon is not nice at all.
Is all the grouting done now, I know it can take a while with all the wiping down and smoothing and wiping down and cleaning umpteen times.............
Another week of some disruption - t115006 some sparkles to make it tolerable
Tosca loves her Tiara, Sleek too. Miss Slimkins had seen a rather nice emerald and diamond one   which belonged to Queen Victoria. Tosca said it might cost a lot of peeples money - no kidding there Mother.
We certainly do not want you to go missing, or we will come a looking for you
A quiet evening here, watching the semi finals from Cincinnati Roger is hopefully heading for another final and maybe another win.
The neighbour came round with her / our friend and there was much jewellery trying and sorting and who wants what etc. Lost me in the end, but B knows, which is the important thing :? I just sorted drinks.
Managed to drench myself and half the kitchen in slimline tonic water. It was a very lively bottle shall we say   Much wiping and cleaning
At home day today. No great plans.
Miss Sleek was over at siesta time, apparently Mother Tosca is going to Hogwarts, for a lifetime achievement award, after passing 90 human years. t4591
She can take two companions, so Sleek and Mrs Darcey have been formally asked and took about a nanosecond to say YES.
No date as yet, Hermione will deliver the invitation down our chimney, that we haven't got. :?
I believe the dress code is tartan, in honour of Mr Pepelongstockings.
A Hogwart Express will come for our puskins
Exciting, Tosca has been shrieking with delight and brought out her ancient wand - that no one has seen before  quite where that had been hiding, I know not. Magic t115006 t115006
On that note I must do some pottering, I am the shape of a dining chair.

Oh My goodness Aidan Miss Slimkins is FULL of Tosca's lifetime award!! 90 years eh? that is a long time. She says Tosca's wand is brilliant and has an amazing 'memory'?? So she is back whizzing spells about. They are poring over the spell book...brought out form the ickle house for something special to do at the ceremony to impress everyone
Sleek says oftentimes Mother stays asleep on the gel chair and she does all the work. She doesn't mind really
Our A/C is sitting there 'in the way' just incase I do not trust the weather at ALL!!
The pancakes are delightful and also count as the first of our 5 a day
The vegan coffee was fine the coffee was still as tasty as normal. you needed 2 extra shots in yours?! Wo! were they decaf
Everyone from the café would love Kari and probably love this village too it's so sociable
Kirstie Alley was the only one I knew. the 'Ken' bloke seemed a nice person, but it just looked boring and life is too short isn't it? Yes Mum was a note writer and now my sister is too as Charley noticed I will try BB but will not mind if I let it go.
When bereavements happen I struggle to read sometimes which is my usual 'escape'.
Carol I also have days like that when the phone takes hours away. Does Mr T pull faces when that happens???
Not good the tiling got behind, but it will be lovely all done before winter including the papering
How is your friend doing? Is she coping ok?
Blimey those cold sores were NASTY!! I hope they and the eye are all better soon.
Kath if you wear the shoes in the café you won't fall over and don't forget the mirror in the ladies? You can go and admire yourself there
Thank you for the recipe I think I will have a go at it myself....the ones you left were yum.
I hope your belly settles soon ((()))
Barbara Paul stayed in Cardiff overnight last night and is working again today bless him  However when he phoned it was going well so hoping next weekend, when he is back again.....will be easier
Animals definitely tame us! Those little faces!! we have to give in don't we?
Yes Charley is still at the posh dementia home working hard and enjoying it too. I was worried about her back as well as the upset, but she's doing fine. Your GD will toughen up in time, but not loose her love for people or compassion I am sure.
Hi Joan I don't think Megan Markle's sister was in the BB house...was probably a rumour created to boost viewing numbers  We would keep the house cleaner than they do in there wouldn't we? I think we were posting at the same time then!
I hope you have a good day today.

Afternoon to all, a damp day, very misty, perfect for gathering by the puskins. Well, Sleek does the gathering and Mother rests her eyes.
Tosca must have been using her wand in the night, remotes on the floor, me asleep until 0940, which is unheard of. I think Sleek and Mother had a little party, so kept the peeples asleep
There has been much crystal ball gazing and spell reading. As you say, there is something planned for the award at Hogwarts. Still no invitation down the invisible chimney :? :?
Hi Joan and Sue. We would have a laugh in the BB house, I think we would all be on rations, for not taking part in the games that BB plays.
We are having a quiet day, just pottering and catching up a bit, which is nice.
I am not trusting the weather either Toni. I was lathered last night, it is a cooler today, windows open, as the dryer is busy away. Fans on in the background, just to make sure lots of air moving about.
I can see our AC coming out of wraps again
Naturally the breakfast counts for at least one of our 5 a day
No, the two extra shots were regular coffee, I wasn't quite on the ceiling
We will all have to arrange a bus trip to your, sorry, Sleeks village, it sounds wonderful and we love Kari already, without a doubt t4591
I doubt you will get into CBB, it was better with just ordinary people, rather than z list celebs, apart from Kirstie Alley, who must have top rank when it comes to star status.
Reading is something I just cannot concentrate on, maybe the pills, or just me, cannot stop fidgeting and fussing
Paul is away, working hard, let's hope next week end is a home time
I am glad Charley is enjoying the Dementia care home. I chose to work in elderly care for quite a number of years, which included those with the varying forms of Dementia. It can be very demanding, but equally rewarding at the same time. If you can come away from your shift, knowing that you made a positive difference to a person's life, then your job is well done. t115006
Hi Kath I have accepted and joined the group on FB. I like exclusive
Glad you enjoyed the breakfast, which I cannot pronounce, but looked delicious none the less.
You must wear your kilt, for the Hogwarts celebrations. Mother has been shrieking with delight, then shrieking some more, as she had some tuna at lunchtime.
I have a crystal ball that we can gather round, under the new cloak.
Plaice, very nice too, I love plaice goujons (sp) it is quite a sweet fish, very light. Polenta too, lovely. Many thanks. I hope you and Chris are feeling a bit better, with less ouches. Some extra sparkles won't go amiss t115006 t115006
Carol I hope your eye and mouth are less sore, leaving lots of t4591 to help them get better. All phones and electronics working ok :?: :? :? no more "accidents".
Barbara Have you had any family visiting this week end, Niamh Son or DIL? No news on the operation dates? Grrrrr. Will get Silver to have a fly by the appointments clerk t115006 t115006
Hi to Kerrin, are you back in the UK now? If so, I trust you had a lovely time with family. If not, keep on having a good time
Hi to Christine, Elizabeth, DD, SW, Mig, Toady and all.
Almost time for T and cakes, let me go see what is freshly baked.
I could not decide, so we have lots of choice.
Ok, I am away. Love and sparkles to all. Catch up again later XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening all
A nice quite relaxing day today after the aggravations of the past week. Didn't sleep very well last night as had a bit of an upset tummy and felt sick think it was my own fault really I was using some mouth wash before I went to bed as advised by Dr to help the ulcers heal and I accidently swallowed a large mouthful of it just before I went to bed, lesson learnt don't swallow mouthwash yuck   I have made arrangements to visit our little Rubie at the start of September looking forward to that will just be away for 2 days.
Aidan I see you too are having a nice quite day today too they are just what we need sometimes. hope you are enjoying yours. Yes eye is better and mouth not completely better as still very dry but not so sore now. yep all phones working and no more throwing them about. that shed is ever expanding with all the vanished hours Yes Grouting is all done tiles looking good and it is all beginning to come together at last Our grandson should have be down tomorrow but he ha a nasty sting or bite and it turned into a nasty ulcer which has needed regular packing and dressing at the hospital but hopefully he finishes this on Wednesday so he is due to come at the weekend to do the wallpapering.
Kath I have Joined famous RA mobsters although mine is mainly osteoarthritis thanks for the invite.
Toni its actually very rare that I have long conversations with anyone but I had tried to ring my sister earlier in the day and didn't get through so she rang me back. same with my youngest daughter. Mr T only dose the faces when I ask him to turn the telly down. Tiling now finished just wallpaper which if all goes to plan should be completed by next weekend. My friend seems to be ok thanks.
Joan the eye cleared up in a couple of days with the eye drops and the mouth is getting better slowly.
time for a potter now
Love and sparkles to you all t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Hi to all
Quiet evening, catching up with the tennis finals from Cincinnati. Roger didn't make it to the top, coming second to Novak Good match though.
Hi Carol Good to see you have had a relaxing day, recovering from the past week and all that it brought with it.
Ooops, mouthwash, swallowing large mouthful recipe for queasiness there. Good for helping with the mouth ulcers, but not a nice drink. hope you feel less icky and sleep better on Sunday night. Which mouthwash are you using, Peroxyl is a very good one, for short term use. Glad your eye is a lot better.
I had an inkling that you might be visiting little Rubie Leigh as soon as possible. t4591 We will be on countdown, you know that...........and all of us wil be excited, in fact we will all come, Toni will get the bus ready
I think our batteries are topped up a bit, enough to see us into the week, thank you.
All phones are safe and sound, no more "incidents". The tiling is all grouted and your wallpaper should be done next weekend. Sounds a nasty reaction to your GS being stung. Wonder if it was a spider bite? Shudder   Mind you, people can react very badly to wasp or bee stings and end up as a medical emergency, as you will know. t115006 t115006 for it to heal very quickly.
So Mr T gives "looks" when asked to turn the tv down :? :? You can always download an app, for your phone, that will control your tv, that would fox him, if it did things with no hands Oh I am bad...........
I hope you are ok Barbara, :? sending t115006 your way. Some cakes are saved and in the fridge. I managed not to eat them all.
Sleek and Mrs Darcey came over, during siesta time, mother stayed home while the others went to gather some afternoon mists, then they all went to see the Nymphs and chatted about the second mode of transport, made from woven gems. All chirrups where hushed and they spoke in riddles, in case they were heard :? :? Mother cast a spell and lots of mushrooms appeared in the ravine  Not sure if that is what was supposed to happen  Sleek and Mrs D thought it was highly amusing
Sleek has a new poster for her ickle house, Tosca and Mrs D have one too.
Off to the GC this morning, then a little shopping.
Hi to everyone else, in, out and around about. Lots of love and sparkles to all. t4591 t115006 t115006 XXX Aidan
Blueberry Coffee Cake
XX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Mmm...blueberry coffee cake lovely that and one of those fruit tarts I have managed TWO of my 5 a day!!!
Aidan mushrooms?! mushrooms?!! definitely must be a mistake
A mode of transport for our pusskins with the same woven gem cloth as our cloak-of-invisibility-and-many-rooms??
At least her sleeping spell worked 9.40 am!!   They did indeed have a celebration with Mrs D teaching them all the highland fling. quite a lot of mess and damage was done, but one quick flash from her wand and all was immaculised….although you will see glitter here and there :?
Are you telling me you had 3 shots of coffee in one cuppa?!! WOW!!
Carol my husband does 'looks' too, but not as bad as my Dad's were - he used to make 'wind it up' signals too
I do hope your wallpaper will be up by next weekend then your kitchen will be lovely
We are off to see the bub then? I can't wait....I've got the bus out....
giving it a clean ready t4591
I hope you feel much better today after drinking mouthwash
Kath I would love to see you in your Royal Stuart kilt for the Hogwarts ceremony. Did you see the cats have been practising their highland fling?
Thank you for the plaice lunch very posh indeed!
A secret group? :? I think you may be able to include me in such activities although I am not the most frequent of fbook visitors t4591
A quick woo-ooo! to Joan I hope all is well with you all. Haircut for me today
Love to everyone

So happy to see you on FB Carol and Aidan. Toni, it matters not how infrequently in the group, you are now a member, so pop in as and when you want to. Same applies to you Barbara.
Blueberry coffee cake. Yummy, thank you Aidan. Forest fruit cake with whiipped cream frosting for whenever you fancy some.
Feeling a bit squiffy for some reason. I hope I don't throw up on the bus after Toni has cleaned it. Afternoon all had probs with the net but a lovely young man talked me through it..he gave up on OH... we had to laugh...
Will keep this short had I am shattered talking to him for nearly an hour.. he did say we need fibre in the end..yes tell us about it..
Carol is nearly at the wallpapering stage..what a difference it will make..has for the mouthwash I am useless at gargling..its always goes down..I hope the ulcers have eased..they can be so painful..
Joan hope you and Sue are doing ok..with your lovely doggies..
Kath glad that Chris is feeling better..I stay clear of facebook but might go back on soon..charcoal tablets are good for wind and tummy pains..
Toni I do hope that Paul has it easier soon and can be home more..and glad to hear that Charley is enjoying the care home..it takes a certain type of person to do it..I think our GD would like to work in an home but the pay is a little less..well the nearby ones are
Aiden Yes it was lovely of the lady..many a time she would have flowers waiting for them but to do it after she passed away is so special..bless her...I see you did the T rooms..and today is the GC..eating out is my favorite pastime.. now for a min I thought you had won the 98 million..maybe next time..someone has to win.. I remember Craig from BB..he was so nice unlike some of the ones today..and he was on the TV the other day doing some woodwork in a garden makeover..he still has his strong Liverpool accent..
Now I will help myself to cake ..there are so many I have lost count..thankyou...
Love to everyone I need a cuppa.. t4591 t115006 t4591Love

Afternoon to all. Am I alone in the melting department. It is like Florida here at the moment - why did we put the AC away
If it is as warm with you Toni, I can imagine you have put yours on.
Yep, several tarts and the blueberry / coffee cake and we are done for our 5 a day
I know, mushrooms   I think they were supposed to be fire fly's to light the pathways to the Nymphs home. Tosca is reading up on her spells and checking back on the memory of the wand.
The mode of transport remains a mystery, all has gone very quiet, well, apart from Mother shrieking like a banshee
Ah, the highland fling, that will be the glitter that I found a little while back on top of my pills box, well, suitcase............
No, there were 4 shots in one cup, then it tasted ok.  I think I am more than hooked on caffeine :? :?
The bus is looking immaculised, with lots of baby shower gifts on board too. Off to the south coast we go I will pack my all in one bathing suit, which is boned and VERY supportive
Hair is looking very nice
I keep looking for Barbara, I hope all is ok :? :?
Hi Joan and Sue, we enjoyed our visit to the GC, with coffee and scone, with jam and clotted cream
Some shopping and we were soon home, Dad bought what he needed, until we are out again on Wednesday, to Skipton
Hi Kath, thank you for the invite to the mobsters group 8) 8) on FB
You haven't been at Carol's mouthwash have you sending anti sickly hugs t115006
Thank you for the cake, I hope there was more than one...........I have just landed in that one. I am sure there will be more, put to one side. Toni will need to face plant for sure.
We will make sure the bus ride is the smoothest possible. Toni is a good driver and we have a small medical room on board, for anyone who has the vapours.
There you are Barbara, t'internet problems, with OH not quite catching what the helpline man was saying - oh bless, men eh, what are they like (myself not included) Good to see you, we missed you, I was going to ask Toni to put out a search party.
Can he not push for your to get fibre to your house?
Oh, if we win the 98 million £, I will let you know, you will hear me from your house, in fact we would be over, to go out for coffee and lots of cake  someone wins..............will find out tomorrow evening I will go polish all the Buddha's tummies and tickle their ears and whatever else you have to do. Keep them up high, yes, they are all high up.
Craig certainly has not lost his Liverpool accent. He used to be on 60 minute makeover, plus he is on Ideal World and other makeover shows. A popular guy.
Dad loves his coffee, well, he is into Mocha's now, bless him. Likes the cakes and t cakes too. I would be out every day, to either the T room or the GC. Familiar places only
There are so many cakes to choose from, take it steady, one cake at a time
Well, I had better have another potter, almost time for T, biscuits and a siesta (with the fan going).
There is no sight of Pendle Hill, so I am guessing Miss Sleek and Tosca will be out while I am dozing. Daytime mists have quite a lot more magic in them t115006 Mother has her wax coat and wellies ready, plus waterproof ear cosies.
Love to all, will have a catch up later. t4591 t115006 Take care XXXX AidanXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -
Evening all
Spent the day with our youngest daughter today where she lives been a god day with lunch out and a couple of cups during the afternoon. and weather was quite warm today. not sure I want to weigh in at sw this week as I have not been very good the last couple of weeks I didn't go last week but that was a planned one. good thing is I am well in target and I don't have to go every week if I don't want to.
Aidan Did feel less icky by the end of Yesterday and had a real good nights sleep and woke up ok. The mouthwash wash is Corsodyl. the ulcers are not too bad problem is mouth is very dry sometimes no matter how much I drink hopefully it will improve a bit when the dental treatment is finished. will look out for the bus. yes the reaction to the bite or sting was nasty indeed.
Yes you are very bad but I do feel really tempted sometimes.
Toni Yes I do feel better after the mouthwash incident it was a stupid thing to do but accidents will happen   so you are making the bus all sparkly and clean then. Mr T doesn't do the wind up bit yes gives the look when asked to turn the volume down.
Joan The taste of the mouthwash wasn't the problem it was just I was stupid enough to swallow it silly me.
Kath have you been at my mouthwash he he joking aside hope you don't feel so icky now. thanks for the invite on fb.
time now for a little pottering
love and sparkles t4591 t4591 t115006 t115006Stay positive always👍xx0 -
Just a quickie incase Barbara hasn't managed to get in....talk talk problems but she is ok!
Ah l see she got in!
Don't worry if lm not in first thing....hairdressers0 -
Hi to all - a humid and warm evening, all fans going
Hi Carol Glad you have had a good time at your Daughters, lunching and a couple of coffee's, very nice.
I am sure you will be fine at SW, next time you go, if you are well in target, then a little indulgence will not make a huge difference.
Good that you slept well and felt less sickly. Corsodyl seems to be the go to mouthwash for a lot of oral problems. Personally, I am not a fan, but that's just me. It can make your mouth very dry, as you have found.
If that continues then Biotene is very good at helping combat dry mouth.
I sound like a rep, trying to sell products I will hush now.
hope your eye is much better and those horrid mouth ulcers too.
I know, I am bad, but I do come up with some good ideas for keeping one step ahead of those "looks" and taking secret matters into your own hands 8) 8)
Toni has immaculised the bus, the kitchen area is ready and cakes are on order, for the day we leave in September
Thanks for finding Barbara, Toni, I think she posted just as I was about to click submit. T'internet problems, which I hope are sorted. Talking for an hour with a helpline, is SO draining.
Did you have your hair cut on Monday Toni? I did read right, I think :? :?
Kath, I hope you are feeling less sickly. Silver has been over and scattered lots of sparkles t115006 so don't be surprised if you see glitter twinkling away.
Sleek and Mother Tosca did go out for the early evening mist. Mother was not impressed, she said the humidity made her whiskers frizz  which caused much shrieking
I think she has managed to revoke the mushroom spell, I can see firefly's in the ravine, lighting the way.
Weather permitting, there will be highland fling practice on top of Pendle this morning, with Mrs Darcey leading the tutorial.
Sleek thought that this tartan bonnet would look nice on Mother, but Tosca is NOT convinced :? :?
I had best move, I am setting and need to potter.
At home day today. Dad needs a haircut, so B will ring him and say to pop round for a trim and a coffee.
Leaving lots of love and sparkles to all. t4591 t115006 Catch up later. XXXX Aidan
