    Hi to all :)

Much cooler tonight, AC is on and stopping on until I am proper chilly :D:D

Hi Carol, still no news of Kian's arrival. Let's hope the sweep (always thought it a very strange descriptive) induces Mum into labour.

Mr T might well get his wish, if the sweep does not produce enough prostoglandins.

We will remain on pins and pace up and down :? :?

I thought it was a lovely picture of you and your Sister :) Snowie too t4591

Tooth filled for the third time, let's hope it last a bit longer, before it needs to come out.

I did very well not to throw the carrot cake - it was touch and go, Barbara helped me, by taking one of the huge pieces and trotting off with it :lol::lol::lol:

So looking forward to our new car on the Mot - scheme. The man who deals with them, he rang to confirm that the blue one has our name on it. He is off for a couple of weeks, but things will be well on the way by the time he gets back. He said first week of Sept. Of course, they rely heavily on transporters and availability. Thank you for the sparkles, they will make the showroom even more glamorous t115006 t115006

Mr T wasn't too late home and it sounds like they have a plan to keep things going at the Church, when the Pastor retires.

Glad you managed to get back into your email account. A lot of people are having email issues, especially Sky / Yahoo, who had their system hacked a while ago

It doesn't seem five minutes since your Auntie passed away t115006 t4591

Hi Barbara - On your phone, having hidden the laptop.

So you were in the shed, with the Sisters, glad you enjoyed your sing song, with jazz hands of course. Toni had to sober them up and put them in a taxi - they are rebels, without a doubt :lol:
I am sure you would like hummus, Mark's do a very nice one, in small ish pots, if you wanted to try some.

Oh we did need the lagoon. Thank goodness we left the AC on, just turned it off at 1130, I was quite chilly :D:D It has not even been super hot, but humidity is so draining.

I like this waterfall, there is a nice beach, so we can paddle, or wallow, whichever suits

    tumblr_m23ig703oP1qfgqxio1_400.gif

So, we need to get Mr B back to the Drs, or even the Practice Nurse, for some definitive answers. I will march him into the surgery :D:D
Is he the kind of person that hears the first thing, like "the bloods were ok......." then ignores the rest :? :?

It must be so scary for the people evacuated from their homes. Water is a very powerful force. :? :?

Hi Toni - I think Mother nipped through to yours, at siesta time, she wanted to drop off some "ingredients" :? :? for Sleeks spells.

I think it might be to do with the magic flames for their secret BBQ they cook the fish, but the flames are cold to touch   don't ask me, it's a Hogwarts thing apparently :? :?

    080da54062da8db571d0efeedd76c6ca488c5846r1-360-270_00.gif

No news on Dudley I am guessing :? :roll

Well my dears I had better get on and potter a bit. Hi to everyone else, in and about.

I have posted a picture of my Mum on FB, it would have been her Birthday today t115006 t115006

Dad will be round for his croissant and coffee this morning.

Leaving lots of love and sparkles t4591 t115006 to all. XXXX Aidan

Anyone for magic sparkles on their Dutch pancake :D:D

Hi to all :) Just having a quiet sit and cooling down, after watering some of the pots. I know rain is on the cards for tomorrow, but it seems to miss some of the bigger plants.
Also the birdy bath has had an immaculise. :):D:D

AC on full blast, nice and cool indoors.

Hi Toni - we will be popping round to the BBQ, after you have been to MIL house to sort things.
I know what the feeling is like, it is very, very surreal. Your mind tells you that the person is there. Well, more than likely Mum will be, in spirit, keeping an eye, as our loved ones do t115006 t115006
Thank you for the hugs for my Mum, on her Birthday in Heaven t4591 t115006

Much fortification sent and candles are always lit, whenever we are in. t4591 t4591

Glad you enjoyed the pancakes, the sparkling dusting, is extra special :)

Dudley will be fixed on Monday then? Or Tuesday............Sleek and Mother have set up CCTV in the garage now   They said it is for sekurity :? :?

No need to apologise, you are not AWOL at all. If you were, I would be on the blower asap.:lol::lol::D:D

I will get the bus and drive us to the BBQ   :? :? Second thoughts, maybe someone else can drive :D We might get lost, so start without us...................

Mother has been to her BBQ with Miss Sleek and Tommy, Mrs Darcey, Jerri and Tomy from Kerrins, they came too. If you get a strong whiff of all things fishy, don't worry, it was their magic flames doing the cooking of various sea dwellers  :?

Sleek took Mother to show her the plant that she has borrowed from Kath's garden. It's a big pot !!

Hi Joan and Sue - hope you enjoyed your lunch out yesterday and got all the things you needed from the shops.

How is the weather with you? It is still very muggy here. No more "incidents" with the Police and Pepper  :lol:

    Hugs to both (((())))

Hi Barbara - hope you are all ok. Niamh enjoyed her bacon butties and a little lie in with Daddy :)
Did I see you in the paddling pool   It is certainly warm enough.
Are you getting on ok with your chillows? They are good, but once they have warmed up, they stay warm for a good while. Hark at me, moaning, I am like Victor Meldrew   :lol: Of course they warm up Aidan, they are not refrigerated

Hi Carol - I am sure I can feel a contraction   :? :?
Much pacing up and down the hall. I hope Kian arrives soon, Mum is more than ready, I am sure.

Hi Kath - any more sounds or visits from next door. Daily updates needed, we have to make sure any potential tenants are up to par. Sleek is very pleased to have taken some of the plant ( I won't try and name it).
Any ouchies that are lurking, some (((()))) and t115006 t115006 to help them sling their oook.

Well, I should have another potter about. See what the washing is doing out on the airer - not a lot by the looks.

Hi to everyone else, in and about. Mig, Crinkly, Kerrin, Christine, DD, Toady, SW, Mel, Annie, Elizabeth and all.

I am just sorting the chocolate on the cake :)

I hope you all had a pleasant time at Kari's BBQ Toni. The visit to Mums house will have felt very strange indeed t4591

The girls enjoyed their BBQ - much sharing of spells and catching up on events of the magical world of puskins t115006 Mother has been VERY vocal about it all, this evening.

No news of Kian's arrival yet Carol ? He is not wanting to put in an appearance, making everyone wait.

Have you had chance to put your feet up Barbara, with laptop by your side once more.

Kath, I hope you are both ok, with minimal ouches. Just in case I will ask the Nymphs for some sparkles :D:D

A steady day here, Dad came round for his coffee's and croissants at lunchtime, he was ok and enjoyed watching some of the ladies golf from Woburn.

Next door (Mandy), popped round with her bestie, had a natter and a catch up.

Housekeeping has been in and done the beds :)

Not a lot else of huge importance. Nice to have a quiet ish day.

Hair cut today, it is starting to feel like a cloched hat again

Storms and much rain on the forecast t111055 t111055 for later this afternoon.

    Morning everyone :)

A sunny morning here, but definitely fresher than yesterday after we had a good rain shower :)

All the chocolate cake went? but there's another! Good I will be off to the booth in a moment or two after breakfast....mini doughnuts eh Mmmmm thanks Aidan.

No I was not looking forward to going into the house, but Paul's sister was very clever and had moved the furniture around so we didn't have to visualise her 'not' in her chair. The heart had gone though. The sight of her green fleece did bring a tear as did the music they have all chosen :( Supermarket Flowers - Ed Shearan. Get the lyrics up it's heartbreaking. t115006 t115006 I'm playing it now via Alexa. It will hit you all.

She used to collect teapots you now the arty ones? We had to choose one for each of us and all 3 of the girls. There was one which looked like a wedding couple so I chose that one for Tia and will give it to her as a wedding present from her Nan. One in black patterns which Charley likes (grey black and white) and one which came apart into a pot a cup and a saucer. Lucy has several of these already :)

We had a snowman so we can have a cup of tea with her on Christmas day  (she always came to us) and one which will go well with our kitchen.

I took some seeds to grow in my garden too.

Oh yes the girls enjoyed their BBQ Darcey had invited some cats from her year at Hogwarts. Mother knew one of them, but the others had never net them before. Jerri and Tommicat were alos there. Tommy- thumb was in his best suit (I know it was hot, but he has elements of Mr Longstockings in him and loves any chance to dress up!! They had mostly fish of course some chicken which I think they took from Kari's pile

Kari and I had some fabulous spicy vegan sausages from sainsbury's - the burgers less good :?

I hope you all enjoyed yourselves? It was a good ending to the day very healing to have some laughs.

I am hoping to see Dudley on Tuesday at the latest if he is fixed fingers and paws crossed. The CCTV was up on my laptop when I came in this morning! :animal_busy:

Joan it was sad going to the house for sure, but it had to be done. She lived in Shipston upon Stour which is lovely in the Cotswolds I think, but people had already raided her shed and stolen tools :x

Love to everyone I can't see posts from Barbara and Kath so I hope they are both ok love and ((())) to everyone

All is quiet next door, they've started to sort out the garden so I thought they might be ready to take pictures.. But they arrived yesterday and started drilling again? In a completely renovated house that has been fully decorated and new carpets laid. What's all that about then. The website still looks the same - your guess is as good as mine.

Toni, how sad for you and Paul but so lovely that Paul's sister moved the chairs to make it easier for you.

Aidan, you know all those donuts you left, well erm I ate a dozen of them because they were just too moreish.

    h040.gif

Spiced apple and date pie (raw)
    Ingredients
    For the crust

    200g macadamia or cashew nuts
    150g pecans or walnuts
    50g dates
    Large pinch of sea salt
    For the filling
    150g dried apples, roughly chopped
    480ml apple juice
    375g apples (about 3 or 4)
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    8 dates, soaked
    ½ tsp cinnamon
    Large pinch of nutmeg
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tbsp maple syrup
    Small pinch of sea salt
    For the topping

90g pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
4 big fat dates, finely chopped
    ½ tsp vanilla extract
    Large pinch of ground cinnamon
    Method
Soak the dried apples in the apple juice for an hour.
To make the crust, pulse all the ingredients in a blender until a rough, sticky crumble is formed.
Gently press the crust down into a shallow pie dish or plate roughly 23cm in diameter. Pop it into the fridge for 1 hour to firm up.
Drain the dried apples, which should now be soft and plump. Core and chop the fresh apples, leaving the peel on, and put them in the lemon juice.
Put half the fresh apples into a blender with the dates, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, maple syrup and salt, and pulse until well combined. Pour in a little of the apple juice from the dried apples if the filling is too thick. Add the rest of the fresh and dried apples, then spoon on to the pie crust and smooth out.
To make the topping, mix together the pecans, dates and vanilla in a bowl and spread over the top of the pie to form a crust. Sprinkle with the cinnamon.
Cover and place in the fridge for an hour to chill. Serve at room temperature.

Hi to all - very ooomid again today, awaiting the arrival of storms and rain :? :? t111055 t111055
AC on full blast, keeping us cool

I am sure we all pray for those who have been shot or injured, in America, two mass shootings in 24 hours - words fail me. Thoughts are with those who have passed, those who are injured and those who have lost loved ones. t4591 :cry:

Hi Joan and Sue - it was quiet this morning. Not sure if you are going to get any storms. I know there are plenty about. Hope you have had a nice week end and enjoyed your meal out on Friday. Do you have your favourites, from the menu ? (((())))

Hi Toni - Sunny and fresh, I am a tad jealous   It will freshen up later I am sure, after the deluge we are going to have.

I had to make some more chocolate cakes, I was ashamed with myself, for face planting in it, after I had iced it so well   :? :?
I see you have done the same, so I won't worry :lol::lol:

Pauls Sister was very wise, to move things around and make it slightly less painful. Seeing an empty chair is always a difficult one (((())))
There is a poem, about the empty chair, I am sure Kath will know of it, being our Poet Laureate.

The heart does go and you see things that once meant so much to the person.

I will have a read of the song.

The tea pots sound just the right things to have, for you, Tia, Charley and Lucy. The snowman one will be perfect for Christmas Day cuppa :) t4591 t115006

Some seeds to grow, perfect. I am very precious of the bonsai trees and plants that we have from Mum n Dads garden. They mean the world. t4591 t69044

Mother has been full of talk from the BBQ, shrieking about all the friends that gathered, with one familiar face, who she had not seen in 50 puskin years apparently
Tommy Thunb looked immaculate in this outfit, he does like to be well presented and welcomes an approving nod from Mother :D:D
So they nicked some of Auntie Kari's chicken, they are little imps. Mostly fish though, hope it wasn't too whiffy

Glad you had a pleasant end to a difficult day, with some yummy vegan sausages - but maybe not the veggie burgers :? :? won't have them again I am guessing.

Everything crossed that Dudley will be ready by Tuesday. Glad the CCTV is working ok. Mother has cast another spell. All garages have a calendar, usually with ladies who should no better, draped all over cars and bikes, in nothing but their undies   well, Mother has changed every picture, for every month, to one with her scowling at them :o:lol::lol::lol: Her best "not amused" look.

I cannot believe that someone has stolen the tools from Mums shed, rotten folks whoever did it. :x :x :x

Sleek is coming over at siesta, there is some SYTTD New York to catch up on, with some serious bling dresses. t4591 t4591

Hi Barbara - well happy Birthday to Niamh, 7 today - I baked a little cake for her t4591 t4591

    BrownPinkBlossomCake_1.jpg

Everything planned, then things went a bit pear shaped - oh dear (((()))) Daddy has taken her out now with her new roller skates, bless, I bet she loves them to bits t4591 t4591

I see we need to hatch a plan, for Mr T to either ring the Drs, or go back for another appointment.................I will get planning..........

I am coming on leaps and bounds with my cake making and piping / icing skills :lol::lol:
Glad you enjoyed all the treats, we need them :D:D

I am super happy with the chillows, they end up in a crumpled heap by morning, so I am trying it with a thicker pillow slip.

About 4 weeks until we get the new car, so looking forward to it. I guess, after all the stress of pip, with my hair falling out and stress levels going through the roof, time to enjoy a car on the scheme again, even if I have to fight tooth and nail to keep it, in a year or so's time, when they put me through it all again.

Hope you can get some rest later. Try and take a bit of time out. Lots of love XXXX

Oh, they are drilling at your neighbours house again, what for this time Kath, OIL !!!
We all thought it was done, ready, sorted etc. With the garden being the last thing to do.

A dozen donuts, oh, that's nothing, they were only very small, very very small. That's what I told myself anyway.  :? :?:lol:

Thank you for the apple and date pie, looks lovey, ta duck :D:D

We should have enough cake and things, with it being Niamh's Birthday :)

Hi Carol - any news, I am sure I had braxton hicks earlier   Kian needs to be coming to say hello to us all :) Maybe another sweep, or are they planning to induce now? t4591 t4591

Hi to everyone else in and about.

At home day, well, apart from B nipping round to check on Dad. Washing sorted, drying almost done, just started spitting -

Will call back later - leaving love and sparkles to all - thundering now, so better post and turn off pc XXXXX Aidan

Oh dear me Aidan yes indeed my thoughts and prayers are absolutely with those poor people in America and their families and friends. Wicked I can't even write what I think there aren't any words.

So we have birthday cake for today then? Lovely thanks very much :)

The empty chair poem rings a bell for definite... :? it helped having the furniture in unfamiliar places.

It's lovely to have living memories of someone with the bonsai and the plants. I will be planting my seeds early next year and then they will grow :) Then we will smile.

The fish form the cats BBQ was a tad whiffy, but it was ok. Bless them they had a great time Mother was full of it Sleek was telling me all about the surprise guest and that Tosca was proud of Tommy's smart appearance :)

The awning is coming into it's own now you know - it's taken the glare off of my laptop screen.

Oh yes Sleek was talking about the calendar laughing her head off. they are going to watch the men on their CCTV when they see the new pictures.

They enjoyed SYTTD New York and tonight is the love island afterparty so they girls will all be on skype watching it and no doubt making a racket

Kath what is going on at the house next door :? what now?

Shame the house details haven't been updated though I wanna see what they have changed.

Thank you for the Spiced apple and date pie it was lovely :)

a VERY HAPPY Birthday to Niamh!!

    Hi to all t4591

You are right Toni, trying to put into words, ones thoughts on the shootings and murder, in Texas and Ohio, is beyond me :cry:

Yes, Birthday cake, I am sure Niamh won't mind us having a little tiny piece :? :?:lol: along with the cake from Kath, we will struggle through :D:D

I am sure Kath will pop the poem on for us to read, (ta Kath).

Plants and small trees, are very important. Mum and Dad tended them for years and years. Also the small things, like Mums china coffee mug, which I use every day. Things that give you a strong link to treasure t4591 t4591 I am sure the seeds will grow just fine t69044

There has been much shrieking about the BBQ and also SYTTD Kleinfeld.

Mother has been cagey about the puskin she knew from many moons ago. I have a feeling, just who this "puskin" was, at their little party :o:o

Seeing Mother glowering at them, will sure make the mechanics sit up and wonder. No matter how many times they change it, the picture will remain the same t115006 t115006

Glad to hear that the awning is doing it job well. It was quite pleasant when I got up after siesta, so I didn't bother putting the screen in and fussing with the AC. Now of course, we are lathered with the PC's on and the tv...........all kick out heat, you don't realise when the weather is cooler.

I think we all need to "help" Mr B to the surgery. If you can fire up the Bus Toni, we will squirrel him in, firmly attached to Barbara :D:D

I hope you managed to get some rest this evening Barbara, you said you were shattered. (((()))) Some gentle sparkles for extra soothing t4591

Dad is at Podiatry for his toe dressing, so we are close to the T rooms anyway.

    Good wet morning everyone g050.gif

It's a good job I brought the awning in last night :?

Pom was doing an afternoon tea this afternoon for our lovely neighbour t111055 . Fingers crossed it eases off. Ah maybe I can see some blue on the horizon :?

Aidan I would write an essay if I tried to say what I felt about those senseless deaths in America. t115006

I wonder who that pusskin might be :? you have an idea? Mother's lips are sealed? She's good at that isn't she  Sleek might know. When I ask she puts her paws over her ears and goes g150.gif
I would like to be a fly on the wall when those mechanics look at their calendar :lol::lol:

We had our village clear up yesterday see we do it anyway not just for Best Kept Village. We still look smart I think. It's the presentation and results tonight and I suspect we didn't win maybe 2nd, but we shall see :)

I love the butterfly pic and totally agree Barbara must make the apt and we will take them in the bus....will clean it out first though. Who used it last  Oh I remember it was the Sisters....say no more

The Tea rooms for you? from your photos I know you are very close if Dad's podiatry is at the H centre.

By the way the toast was lovely - I often put chia seeds on my toast. I think I got the idea from you?

I had the aircon in our bedroom and in Charley's in the evening before bed. You were right it was warm m0150

A quick hello to Joan (and Sue) I hope all is well and you don't have rain when you are trying to walk the dogs t111055

    Love to everyone else

Just getting the bus cleaned out.....

There we are much cleaner. Will have to take a trip to the bottle bank now though

Apologies for copying so much, but these are the words for Supermarket Flowers by Ed Shearan which will be played at Paul's mum's funeral:

I took the supermarket flowers from the windowsill
I threw the day old tea from the cup
Packed up the photo album Matthew had made
Memories of a life that's been loved
Took the get well soon cards and stuffed animals
Poured the old ginger beer down the sink
Dad always told me, "don't you cry when you're down"
But mum, there's a tear every time that I blink

Oh I'm in pieces, it's tearing me up, but I know
A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved

    So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
    You're home

I fluffed the pillows, made the beds, stacked the chairs up
Folded your nightgowns neatly in a case
John says he'd drive then put his hand on my cheek
And wiped a tear from the side of my face

I hope that I see the world as you did cause I know
A life with love is a life that's been lived

    So I'll sing Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down you'd be there holding me up
Spread your wings as you go
And when God takes you back we'll say Hallelujah
    You're home

    Hallelujah
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
You got to see the person that I have become
    Spread your wing
And I know that when God took you back he said Hallelujah
    You're home

    Perfect eh?

This is the only EMPTY CHAIR poem I can find Toni

    Beyond The Empty Chair

    Look beyond the empty chair
To know a life well spent
    Look beyond the solitude
    To days of true content
    Cherish in your broken heart
    Each moment gladly shared
And feel the touch of memory
    Beyond the empty chair.

Lovely, I know that will bring back memories of Paul's mum. But my favourite is this one.

    Remember
    BY CHRISTINA ROSSETTI
Remember me when I am gone away,
    Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
    Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
    **************************************************

Joan, No news, They drift in and out and I keep checking the estate agents website, but there's no change. So there must still be things to do.

Toni, I don't think I've heard that Ed Shearhan song, lovely words. The deaths in America, nothing surprises me. Things are definitely getting worse. :( . Did you manage to get all the bottles recycled? BTW, I did see Sleek take the correct plant clump. I was up in my bedroom using my nebuliser and happened to glance through the window, and waved.

Aiden, the mystery pusskin, was it the Tiger that came to tea? A very famous pusskin and slightly larger than mother and Sleek. And some rotter stole your dear mum's tools from her shed. SCOUNDREL k015.gif
Chia Seed Jam and Peanut Butter Toasts, looks and tastes delicious and is very nourishing. Ta muchly mi duck.

Barbara, roller skates were always a favourite, can you remember the old style ones with laces and a footplate you could adjust as your feet got bigger.

No news from Carol yet, come on Kian, we're longing to see you sweetheart.

Grilled pumpkin and black bean burger
An easy to make burger bursting with flavour.

    Ingredients
    1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup (75g) diced red onion
1/2 cup (90g) diced red pepper
    3 cloves minced garlic
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1-15 oz can black beans
    1 tsp salt
    2 minced chipotle peppers
    1/4 cup (45g) sweetcorn
    3 tbsp mashed pumpkin
    1 cup (90g) breadcrumbs
1/2 cup (65g) chopped pecans (optional if you are avoiding nuts)
    Method
Dice red onion, red pepper and mince garlic. Heat the oil over a medium heat then add garlic, onion, red pepper and sweetcorn then sauté for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Drain and rinse the black beans and pat dry. Place in a deep bowl. Using the back of a fork, mash about half the beans and leave the other half whole. Then add the pumpkin, cooked vegetable mixture, chipotle peppers, pecans, breadcrumbs and cumin. Mix well until all ingredients are combined to desired consistency. Note, if mixture is too dry you can add a little more pumpkin. Using hands, form into four large patties and refrigerate.
Heat grill medium high heat. Brush grill with oil then place burgers on the grill. Cook for approx. 3-5 minutes on each side.
Remove and serve immediately on your favorite vegan roll. Enjoy!

Hi to all - Yay, it is blowy and fresher - dancing in my own space I am. 3 big windows open (with meshes in) :D:D:D AC is on low, just to add to the extra cooling.

Sounds like it has been very wet there Toni. We had a shower, that was it, after umpteen weather warnings, it piddled for an hour

I hope the rains ease off for the afternoon T, pinkies out of course :) For your lovely neighbours. m0150 t69044 t4591

I think, between us, we could write a dissertation, about the mass shootings in America. I notice the President said, "perhaps something more needs to be done"  PERHAPS !!! Trouble is, there is the right to bear arms, which is embedded in their constitution.............very difficult.

The puskin, was Minerva, no less. Mother let it slip this morning, when she said the lovely Lady wizard was at our BBQ - Minerva is the only one who can change into a pus cat............... t115006 t115006 Minerva, was in Auntie Kari's garden - WOW t115006 t115006 t115006 t115006  :o:o

Of course, you all keep your lovely village neat and tidy. People do the same here and in the rival village a mile away. Dad said, who puts all those barrels out with plants in - :o The Parish Council members and local peeples, we are one of Lancs best kept villages. Waddington always wins, because they have the gorgeous stream and gardens through the village   Mother wanted to fill it will biodegradable rubbish, but we said no, it's fine. Let them win, again

Oh I hope you do win, with all the hard work and the scarecrows, the stall in the Church grounds, the sack race, all the work that people have put in.............sending lots of sparkles t115006 t115006 for a great result :D:D:D t4591 t4591

Oh the bus was a mess, sorry, I forgot the Sisters were in it last and they had a bit of a "do" with lots of Gospel singing :? :? Then they did a Tamla Motown Medley :lol::D

    giphy.gif

Now that it is clean, we can get Mr B and Barbara and the rest of us, off to the surgery and all march in, well, potter and hobble........:lol:

T rooms it was, here is a piccy of it. Just across the way, to the right, is the car park and Drs

Brunch was fab, coffee was wonderful, it was so quiet, just some of the customers that go in every day, who we have got to know and a couple of others. Perfect :) Town was super quiet, apart from the Drs, that is always pretty busy.

    10025962?type=responsive-gallery-fullscreen

Dads toe was re dressed, back in a week, he must get air to it, the podiatrist has laid down the law, shoes off, fresh air and it will heal. We will keep reminding him, daily, at the very least.

The bus looks immaculate - well done and all those bottles, those Sisters are naughty.
The words of the song by Ed Shearan are absolutely spot on :cry: t4591 t4591 Thank you for posting them XX

Glad you liked the toast, chia seeds, we used to have them all the time, not quite sure why we don't any more :? :?

Any word from the garage - Dudley must be on the mend by those "mechanics" :? :? :? Mother really dislikes them, with a passion :lol:

Washing out on the airer, smalls blowing in the wind :o:o

New skin creams arrived, "Nourish London" - got them as they are totally vegan and organic - will keep you posted and see how young we become :D:D

Hi Joan and Sue - hope you are both ok, doggies too. Only about 4 weeks until the new car is ready, maybe three, if we are lucky :) Cannot wait.
Thank you for the hugs, (((())) you are both SO kind t4591 t4591 t69044

Hi Kath, oh thank you hun, that is the poem I was thinking of.......... t4591 t4591

Remember is a beautiful poem too, as is this one, I whispered some of this to my Mum when we were at Dads funeral..............

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

    Mary Elizabeth Frye

Right, move along now Aidan, I am in no state at all now............Deep breath

Ah, the mystery puskin was Minerva, from Hogwarts, but a wonderful guess, the Tiger that came to tea, you are very well versed mi duck, Mother Glitter Sparkles is most impressed t115006 t115006

No news about your neighbours, apart from various comings and goings - is the garden all tidy now?

That pumpkin and bean burger looks SO delicious, I could eat it right here, right now. t4591 t4591 :D:D Ta loads mi duck.

Hi Barbara, hope you are managing to get some rest today and things are a little less up in the air. Some extra (((()))) t4591 to help wherever possible.

We are hatching a plan and willing Mr B to go back to the surgery, with your good self, a pen and notepad. Men, what are we going to do with em.

Any news yet Carol, we are all pacing up and down, I am running out of things to dust :lol: I am sure Mum will be induced sooner rather than later if there are no signs of Kian, making an appearance. t4591 t4591 (((())))

Right. I had better do some more pottering. Enjoying the fresh air, feels like weeks since the house could breathe.

    The Ship

    What is dying
I am standing on the seashore, a ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says: "She is gone."
    Gone!
    Where
Gone from my sight that is all.
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her, and just at the moment when someone at my side says,
    "She is gone"
there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout:
    "There she comes!"
    and that is dying.

    Bishop Brent

Hi to all - warm, but not in a melting heap, as I have been for what seems like weeks :D:D

Hi Barbara - It has been a lot fresher, lovely to let the house breathe and get rid of some humidity. Rain on and off for the rest of the week I think.

It is almost impossible to think how someone's mind works, when they choose to commit such hideous acts of mass murder. Some of what the President said, is quite true, but he did not go so far as to call time on the right to bear arms.

You had our rain then on Sunday. We only had a little shower, despite the forecast for Biblical storms

I do hope that Niamh likes the cake I made for her :D:D
You are very welcome to the trifle, some long spoons are vital, or, just dive in :lol:

It is nice to see the places that we mention, makes things that bit more personal and real life so to speak.

This is the small community hospital that we have here. Only 2 miles from us. It has out patient clinics, podiatry, OT, Physio, X ray Ultrasound and two nurse led rehab wards.

    EW-CaseStudies-Clitheroe-Community-Hospital-2.jpg

We have been blessed with so many butterflies this year, hundreds of them - never seen so many for a long long time. I love them, they are little Angels t115006 t115006

I will keep your Brother in our prayers and thoughts for his endoscopy, more bloods, then the news of his results. t4591 t4591 I always have a candle lit, every moment we are in. t4591

We are still working on a plan, for Mr B................:)

Hi Carol - still no sign of baby Kian. We can hope that Mum goes into labour today, for Mr B's birthday - t4591 t115006 Happy Birthday Mr B - we need cake, let me go make one immediately :D:D

3 weeks countdown, right, off we go.............till you go to meet all little and big peeples alike :)

Just when you don't want the laptop to go funny, it throws hissy fits

Time flying, it seems to be the norm, the older we get the less time we have and the faster the weeks, months and years go whizzing on by

Thank you for keeping us updated, we will carry on pacing around.

Hi Toni - The Ship, how true it is too. Your Brother was indeed, very brave, to read that out, at your Mum's funeral t4591 t4591

We are getting maudlin, but they are all such lovely, touching words, well worth sharing.

YOU WON - Sleeks Village, Won, AGAIN, well, this calls for something bordering on hysteria :lol::lol:

Well done to everyone, all the hard work, time spent on the most wonderful creations and keeping things so neat and tidy, a credit to you all. t4591 t4591 t4591 t4591 t4591 t4591

Tosca did well to have a little dance on her back paws, Sleek held onto her very gently, so she could have a little dance - such shrieking from both puskins. Deafening   :lol:

It was Minerva, the wizard herself, was in Auntie Kari's back garden, in feline form. Sssssshhh, top secret.

Oh I am pleased, over the moons and back again :D:D

Goodness, I need a lie down in a dark room.......................... :animal_busy:

On that note, I will away and potter a little. Enough excitement. Oh, how was the afternoon T, for your lovely neighbours, I almost forgot?

At home today, time out and some general pottering.

Lots of love and sparkles to everyone in and about. t4591 t115006 Take care XXXX Aidan

Today we shall celebrate!! After though we will just continue to keep on making our lovely village as pretty and clean as we always do :D

Sleek did indeed help Tosca up because she wanted to dance....not for long but she did it. The shrieking! I bet everyone in the café heard them :animal_busy: I did an exact replica of those minions all on my own at the ceremony when it was announced

The afternoon Tea was lovely our neighbour was most overcome bless her! they are off up North tomorrow for a holiday to the adapted property which is totally accessible for her needs to see their family t4591

Aidan thanks for the sparkly breakfast it was lovely I had everything now I need a rest :animal_busy:

Thanks for the picture of the Tea room I love it! I could go in there for definite and the little hospital really useful and I am very glad to hear Dad was told in no uncertain terms to expose that foot to the air!!!!

The bus is immaculate now those sisters! The Tamla Motown number though is on YouTube and has gone viral!!

Hermione (and Minerva) wouldn't be happy if the cats filled Waddington with biodegradable rubbish. Sounds like they are the next village to us easy to look pretty by virtue of their own environment! Of course yours is really the best village!

Kath Sleek has the right plant? Good it's in a large pot! She said she waved to you too. You had a mask on, but she knew it was you :D

Both of those poems are lovely and have such meaning for bereaved people. Thank you for posting them t4591

The burger recipe was lovely much better than shop bought ones methinks ta v muchly!

Barbara I will absolutely say a little prayer for your bother and fingers are crossed ((()))

Happy birthday to him for tomorrow. I hope it's good news I really do these are for you t69044

Carol k040.gif to Mr T!!! I hope he has a lovely day :)

Fingers crossed Kian comes today too that would be so special for them both.

Every time a new baby is born in your family I think of those who said your relationship wouldn't last - and look what you've all produced!!! t4591

Love of course to Joan (and Sue) Hope you have sunshine like we do
