HI Cris
just popped in to see if You'd made it onto the site tonight.
sorry not been in touch - had one of those days but will tell you about it another time.
Hope that you got a bit warmer today (It's all drip drip drip here so icy underfoot but at least it's melting) and that Hope is brighter and that the vet wasn't needed.
hugs
WOnky xx0 -
Oh wonky, that don't sound good - brace yourself for some of these ((((())))). I hope things improve, and soon.
Morning skezier, I do hope things have warmed a little now - we are basking in 6 degrees today, so verily it's tropical! I am feeling a little brighter today, I saw a GP yesterday and had some good news on the BP figures, which was nice, she has also given me some 1mg steroids, so I can reduce more gently (which isn't so nice, GOD I miss my pred) so hopefully DD is on the way back to her usual level of grotty instead of the worse level. I hope you are as well as you can be, keep warm, rest as much as you can, and take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Morning (oh heck is it really afternoon already?!) Cris
had a late & eventful night so only just getting going today, after slip sliding round the district with Littlelegs
Here the thaw is well under way, so I hope it is for you too, though I also hope that it doesn't bring too much mud or too many slips for you.
please take care & I really hope the vet can help Hope, or that she is a lot better already.
hugs & slurps & tail wags from herself

Hi Cris
Just dropped in to say "hello" and to send ((()))s and a nudge from the deer.
Lots love Tilly xxx0 -
Hi Cris
Hope the temperature has risen a tad for you all down there and that the poorly sheep is on the mend. We has a goodish thaw today and there are bits of pavement to walk on x:D
Long may it last. Just topping up the hugs tankers for you ((((( )))) and hope you get the cans and string to work at some point.
This little fella needs a home and says can he come live with you?He promises to bring CDM x:D
love

Hi Cris
hope your thaw has started. Ours started yesterday and we hit tropical temperatures of 0 degrees - temperature soared to a heatwave today and we made it to 6 degrees!!! So at last the ice has gone. Didn't have to scrape the car to go to work this morning - big bonus!
Hopefully now the cat will go out for longer spells as she was only popping out briefly and full of mischief indoors with energy to burn.
Well better go and chivvy S, he is very good at proscrastinating  ...maybe he has been taking lessons of DD ... x
Speedy
PS I agree Cris, those smilies are tiny!!! Have to hover mouse over them to see what they are ..I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
HI all
think Cris is busy dismantling the proper computer in order to buy the right new bit for it ...... her dongle and old PC just won't let her play on here
As for the poorly sheep - I think since the temp had gone up again to a heady 4 degrees by the sheep, that she may have decided that seeing a vet wasn't imperative .... particularly because the only way to guarantee Hope seeing a vet was for Cris to lift her into her car and take her to the vets!
so, hopefully soon she will be back on here in style, and not having to slither and slide too much either
hugs
WOnky0 -
Morning Cris i hope you are getting better weather now and are not finding it to squelchy under foot , hugs to you and all the furrys woolys and fethered ones xxxI know i am a lady ,all life is a journey xx MAY xx0

Hi Julie, Joan, Berty, Wonky, DD, Tilly and her Deer, Cris and another Deer and Speedy
Yep tis warmer. Mud of course and swamp second to none at the sheeps...... never underestimate how much damage 1400lb of cloven hooves x4 can do.......
Vets have been busy so they had this idea I could take her in.....
Yeah ok..... except she is heavyish.... she has lost weight the last week but even with the weight loss she is heavy..... I just couldn't lift her up into the car, she wasn't going to make it easy either but that's sheep for you.....
Her legs feel warmer to the touch now and she is definitely eating better and more her. Still sounds a bit goat like but her and I just have been very cold fr a min and as you warm up it gets easier
Will see how she is on Monday but a vet will have to call cus got another now with the snot nose thing and at their ages I want them jabbed..... under an EU rule the med she needs can only be administered by a vet (its side effect is accidentally jab your self and it may well kill you. We used to be allowed to but the EU get teasy over veterinary treatment as well!) I would bulk at stressing a sheep with nasal snot....
I hope your bones are behaving just now? Mine are sort of not taking prisoners again but nor am I so we are even......
Wonky is so right about this pc..... its rubbish..... the dongles no better...... I don't know which is causing the worst problem actually....
I shall get the big one apart if I have to lever it out! I got a crow bar and will not be scared to use it soon..... its doing my head in but I am short fused just now as the cold has deepened and the mtx really isn' doing much to help that or anything else.
If I am going I had best go..... big if this morning.....
Chris he would be welcome with or without cdmIts a good idea though us it might make me less teasy.....
Am off to flip a coin to go or not to go..... that's a good coin if it comes down the right way upHugs to you all and hope the thaw is continuing there for you as well. Cris xxx

Oh Cris
Manhandling poorly sheep, feeling shift and a useless PC all seem to be conspiring against you at the moment. Hope the sheep do get the jabs they need Monday without too much more stress.
We have a wonderful thaw here and we have pavements again at the moment which is a great relief for me. x:D I send several containers of hugs ((((( ))))) for you to pick up when you can. In the meantime I do hope that coin landed the right way for you today. :?
love and endless cuppas

afternoon cris
Glad your sheep is feeling a little better and hope that thy all get their jab on monday.
Nice weather here at moment. 8 degs whoo whoo. Just as mi new heated gilet has arrived.
Gonna try it out tomorrow cause OH and I will go for a walk. (well scoot for me) I am sure it will be quite good and keep my back warm. Will still need a scarf on though.
well, this is short and sweet, Take care
thinking of you

Hi Cris, good to be warmer, though be careful wading all through the mud. Glad poor sheep is feeling a bit better, but now another is starting the same thing. Those vets need to come out and do those jabs asap. Hope you start feeling a bit better yourself soon.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Hi Cris
I'm relieved to hear your poor cold sheep is warmer..hope the vet can get the injection in the other one for you on Monday.. NOT a good idea to do it yourself by the sound of things!
Keep those hands and feet of yours warm Cris,., I have seen some lavender scented thick socks that you heat up in the microwave - a bit like the wheat bags - you could do with a pair...
Take care

I know Cris did a sale today and people were buying, so I am really pleased for her.

Cris - loads of hugs from me and slurps from Littlelegs

Morning cris
Well I thought I would pop in and let you know how the gilet went. Mmmmm very good but only lasted an hour, Need some more batteries as these have been charged up hundreds of times. Heat suppsed to last 2 hours or more. Back was cosy and warm no wind blowing through, was quite impressed. x:D
Anyway I have read you were doing a sale yesterday, hope it all went well and that you were able to have a good nights sleep. I hope you are feeling okish today. Quite ok weather here, dull but dry, Been told by weatherman its gonna snow on thursday. x:(
Well I suppose I had better do some chores in a min.
Take care

Morning skezier, am I right in thinking that the cold weather is back with you? Did it ever really go? Anyhoo, I am off soon to play a good game, it's called 'Annoy the Consultant' - do you reckon I'll win? Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Morning Chris, Julie, Berty, Marion, Speedy, Wonky and DD
Tis cold but sunny and the mud and wet grass trashed by the frosts and ice need sun..... I having so much rebellion over mud and slipping all over the place.... as is the car.... sideways slides, backwards slides here especially the gate.... but....
Going to pay the toll and dress the Hawthorne later!)
Hopely is improving with warm legs and very much brighter... her Ladyship and I are having a race for who gets pneumonia first.... mind we both could go for pleurisy..... I will be picking up a jab for her (tis ok the one that doesn't kill humansThough got so much pain its an idea....
)
Littlelegs in her tabart helped drum up a bit of trade and I did better... all going on heat cus you know what being cold doesn't help the bones or these stupid feet. They are so swollen and purple and juts wont stop banging.......I did think at one point yesterday **** asking for one toe to be removed I might ask for a job lot! He wouldn't do that either would he......
Sorry had a moan draft today
Berty he came back from I's..... he must have been too early....I shall send him again for the full 28 days....
Julie that sounds sort of helpful..... I got some of those brilliant boil and click warmers ... they are very good!! Cool quickish but even lukewarm they are good.....
Hey Marion I had some microwave feet slippery sock things full of beans.... sadly I had to share them with slipper boy (apparently) and well they weren't up to his rather demanding specSometimes I hate that dog!
Wonky I hope the thaw is continuing and its not going to do a return too soon? I saw a forecast and well fingers crossed they are wrong eh?!
DD I so hope it was a good appointment today?
Chris and Speedy you both stay safe and leaving some ((( )))'s and a hope works gong reasonably okish?
Right the pc part is sat on the side and will try and get a replacement today... I would have ordered one from the net but need some advice cus there are so many different ones and I need one that will replace this..... They might have one in stock..... you can hope eh?!
You all stay warm and take care. Cris xxx0 -
Morning Cris

You take care of yourself...I have extra buckets of healthiness here will send you some...and loads of hugs (((((()))))
Love

Thinking of you.

Hi Cris,
So your back to the mud baths then. There are some people who pay a fortune for the privilege. So there could be money to make there. Especially if you put up a sauna Tee-pee!! I’m sure they will not mind sharing with herself. It’s just a matter of pulling the wool over their eyes.
It’s amazing that you have managed to get to the sales after all the problems getting around. I don’t suppose foot baths help so much when you have broken skin, but there again gentle thawing is a must I would think.
Now bully did not seem to want to hang about for the 28 days.
But since you are sending the Yorkshire puddings he will be most welcome to come for Boxing Day.)
Many hugs,
Lv, Ix0 -
Jeepers Cris
Yes it is hawthorne time again!!!!! I hope you are up to it love?
That thing can be vicious! but it does look so good with them lights on.
Having dongle problems here so am just madly posting while I can. :? Work okish bless ya. We had some rare safety training today which involved going outside and playing with fire extinquishers. x:D I have only been there 8 years and now they decide we might be worth saving!
Hope you soon get your computer probs sorted and that everyone there soon feels a bit better. PLEASE include yourself in the caring for schedule Cris.
love and healing vibes

Hi Barbara, Tilly, Toni, I, an Chris,
I am so late tonight and got a bucket full of pain to boot..... I really am sick of this bone thing and wish it would just get lost!!!!
Been fighting some kind of fatigue and seem to have lost the plot a bit as well s the Hawthorne will have to wait cus I couldn't have done the steps today as I seem to ha a bit of shake and even a stammer.... I truly hate this bone thing and its biting me quite had just now. Ah well I will just trench in and slug it out with it till it gives up and backs off to the normal pain...... soon I hope....
Its cus I am technically off the diclos.... I wish they would hurry up with the ulcer investigation thing.....
Just taken the diclo's and have pain in the stomach as well almost immediately but sic of the pain i the lumber, shoulder and neck and compared to that and the constant cramping in feet and legs the ulcer is nothing!
Seen the weather forecast and its going to be rough... Took Hope's rug off tonight as she was back to being warm and no where near as dejected! I have to make some makeshift covers for the windows and top door so they get a bit of air but the draft will be high enough to miss them.... how I am gong to do that with this useless body I don't quite know but I have done a deal with someone to get their shed actually dug out so I am learning to get hired help here and there... wonder i he can shear
I didn't get the pc switch and this one really drives me up the wall! Will try tomorrow...
I have become a full time carere think and its so demanding... no the only reason I am so late I had some weird thing where I kerbed the car and go a blow out as a reward......
That's ok cus i was opposite a garage and I went in and grovelled.....
but......
my car, how ever nice it is, gets treated as a working vehicle..... We had to shift out 2 bales, 4 25kl bags and a ton of junk to find the spare... hey least it had one xGot to go get the new tyre tomorrow cus well the spare isn't necessarily good......
I my friend he will have as many Yorkshire puddings as you need xActually a bit like Sidney he has been better since your invite... could you invite Slipper boy and Gimpy a well please x
Chris I promise I will try and remember I have had it and am trashed..... I get reminders but don't seem to have the brain to rest u ..... not enough daylight and then there is the carere's thing..... x:roll:
I am leaving ((((( )))))'s for you all and sorry I rally am shattered and its not going to be a restful day tomorrow.... I so hope the forecast is wrong all oer the UK. You all take care and I shall go find dog bed to curl up in xLove Cris xxx
