Oh my Poor Dear Legs
l am so very sad for you. Cancer is an evil disease - head and neck being one of the most fast moving ones
I am so glad for your Dad that he has had 5 children to be so proud of. When he takes stock as we all do he will be grateful for that .
May l wish you all the strength you need and know that us lot on here are here for you whenever you need us to support you.
All my love

Linda my heart goes out to you and your family. This devastating news has no doubt thrown you all upside down. It's good to hear McMillan nurses are going to come in, they're usually really good and hopefully will benifit your family as well as your Dad.
Try to remember to look after yourself as best you can while you spend as much time with your Dad as is possible. Big hugs, Rita.0 -
Oh Linda, my heart goes out to you at this sad time. It may not seem it now but you will find the courage to help him through this. The McMillan Nurses are fantastic and will be of great help to you all. Take one day at a time and your lovely dad will know you are all there with him.
My love and thoughts are with you all,

I've just popped in and read all the wonderful messages of support.
You are such a caring bunch of people.
My Dad asked to see his dog, Robbie a little westie, on Sunday who's been living with my sister for the past six weeks. He told me the previous day that Robbie probably wouldn't even know him now as he wasn't his dog anymore. Guess what??? Good old Robbie struggled to get out of my sister's arms and went bounding up to Dad and leapt on his knee, licking him to a frenzy and tail going like crazy. Aren't animals wonderful.
Thank you so much for the posts. I shall try to keep you all informed.

Aw, dear Linda, bless Robbie, you and your dad. That must have been a happy but also sad reunion for you all to see. It is good that he wanted to see Robbie and Robbie would not have forgottten your dear dad.
It is reassuring to see that you have popped in, dear Linda. It does help to read all the messages of support as I know from past occasions.
I do hope that you are able to get some restful sleep, to keep strong during this very sad time. My thoughts are with you,
Lots of love

Hi Linda just sending(((()))) Take care Linda0

Thank you guys.
I've seen him today and he seemed brighter. This time he was out of bed and sitting in a chair. He chatted for a while and then tired so he walked on very wobbly legs to his bedroom, assisted by my brother.
The District Nurses are now helping and providing him with all sorts of things for his comfort and have even arranged an orthopaedic bed to arrive Monday, which amazes me when you consider what little time he has left.
Anyhow I'm tired out now and must go to find my own bed.
Take care all.

Dear Linda, everyone is helping your dad to be as comfortable as possible. I say again that for your dad to be able to stay at home or your brothers home, in familiar or fairly familiar surroundings, is a much more pleasant atmosphere for him, you and the family, with privacy too than having to be hospitalised.
I do hope that you are able to get some rest, as you need all your strength at the moment and it really does take it out of one.
Night, night, dear Linda, thank you for popping in tonight to see your messages and to let us know that your dad is being well looked after in every way and that you are coping.
Love
