But the weather is not horrible at all! Bit fresh in the mornings, otherwise fine and cloudless.
For me it's "ubik" by Philip K. Dick at the moment. I know: I'm old-fashioned.0 -
Been raining here all day Caliban dank dark dreary sadly I have heating on plus vest cardy etc  .
Not to worry though.
Interesting book choice there.....have you read it before or is it new to you?

Its a horrible damp, wet and cold day here. Excuse to read my book , I am reading The Sacrificial Man by Ruth Dugall. It is better than I was hoping for, am enjoying it and curious.
Wishing all book readers a warm weekend.0 -

No, it's the first time I read it. Somehow I missed it before. But I'm a great fan of Huxley's "brave new world" , I think this one comes close to it. Right now I hardly can concentrate, so I'm a rather slow reader.
Well- it IS getting fresh at night. And there is the first snow on the mountains to be seen. A scary sight0 -

Hello, I hope none of you mind my butting in but I have to tell you about the book I have just finished (and will shortly be reading again). It is called The Perpetual Astonishment of Jonathon Fairfax, written by Christopher Shevlin. It currently costs a mighty 77p from Amazon Kindle and I relished every word. To my mind this author should be listed alongside Stella Gibbons and Saki (even though this is the only book he's been able to complete to date). Download at least the sample and see what you think. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thank you Marrianne for reviews and thank you DD for recommendation! We could have it for Novembers Book Of The Month if everybody is happy?
The Book I'm reading at the moment 'Thirst' by Clare Farrell I'm finding very slow to get anywhere, may keep it as an in case of reading emergency! It is a free book off the Kindle store. It's about a vampire if anybody likes those sort of books!
Going to move on to this months Book of The Month 'Oh Dear Sylvia' by Dawn French0 -

My mother recommend that I should get a kindle. Lol have read all the twilight books. And even the Harry potter book. Am a big fan of John Grisham and read most of his books. Currently reading ford county. Having said that its on hold while I am studying for my course. I shall look forward to reading it again soon :-)Life's for living, use it well0

Welcome to The Book Club Stormy! It doesn't matter when you can get to read a book, as long as you have a love of reading. I know quiet a few of us have Kindles now and we all love them, I would recommend as you can store a lot of books on them and they are easy to use. Maybe you should put it on your Christmas list for Santa!!0

I'm just checking in Bubba! Still reading the crimson! As you all know it is looong. But good. Picked up Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor. It is the second in a trilogy. The first was really good. I will need to read that one before I move onto anymore BOTMs! So behind in my list now! Haha!
We go away to Bude next week so hopefully I will have some time to read then in between walking the dogs to the beach/pub!0
