Glad the pred is helping. It is difficult not to overdo things in the circumstances but please do try. There is plenty of time to do something for your anniversary later. It's good to hear of someone who has spent so many happy years together.

Me and Janet are without doubt soulmates... She is everything to me. Dunno how I would cope without her.

We have just pulled up to our favorite cafe in Skeggy.. Nice pot if tea n summat to eat.

I had a bad night the night before last.. Horrible dreams about mi Dad. Poor bugger suffered so much with pain that morning.

Hope the sun comes out in Skeggy today ,it's pretty dull in nottm.
You probally wont believe me at the moment but the bad dreams will fade with time and it does take a while,then you can remember the happier times.Your Janet seems like a lovely lady you are indeed a lucky man.Hugs to all Mig

I apologise for being AWOL this week, we've had a lot going on in the DD household. I hope the pred is helping to give an over-all boost (it won't touch the OA, let's face it not much does) and I am sorry that your anniversary hasn't happened as such but I am sure that you will be able to do something special in the future when this current situation has drawn to a close. Rest as much as you can when you can, OK? DD

I'm currently sat with mi feet up in the caravan after a mad dash to arg0$ for the last cheap bagless vac... Might actually encourage folks to vac a bit better when they leave. The old I've didn't really do much top be honest but some people dint even try :roll:

The pred is helping a fair bit DD mi lovely... Elbows have settled, knees are not ballooned at the minute either.. Got a bit more energy but spare spoons are still very welcome.
Lost £160 with the hotel.. I doubt they would have done much but I couldn't be bothered begging them..

I truly hope everyone is as good as possible..

I've had a few cups of tetleys and a decent snooze. The storm has only just started to move on, had thunder and lightening since around noon..

I've rested this evening. Sat and watched Pirates of the Caribbean again.. Not much else on tv.
Early night tonight.
My cousin (Dad's nephew) who lives in Mablethorpe is coming tomorrow morning..
He can't make the funeral unfortunately so he's coming to Mum's to see us.

It's so lovely to hear people are with their soulmate. Mig is right when she said the bad dreams will pass. Glad you are managing to rest a bit. I watched Pirates tonight again (and again and again).

This has a been a long wait for the funeral. This cannot be easy for you.

The funeral will be your chance to honour and remember your Dad. Its the day you never want to happen and it is so final. I'm feeling very sad for you and Janet and my thoughts will be with you. I'm hoping all that hassle is behind you and you can focus on giving him the send off he deserves.

It is a shame about the hotel. It is a small possibility they were able to re let it but it was probably too late and I can understand why you couldn't face it.

Just lost partners uncle (heart attack while driving so crashed his car as well)and because it is bank holiday weekend they can't do a death certificate until Tuesday! and then need to do a post mortem because of the crash). So about to experience all the delays and bureaucracy too. I wonder if that is the case with everybody?

We are expecting a great turn out for Dad. He was a well liked fella...

Hi Tony,

I really hope your knees settle down and de-swell. Thinking of you and yours, you are doing remarkably well given the trials you have all faced. It seems phenomenal how hard bureaucracy has made the whole thing...as if it wasn't hard enough to face in the first place.
