Hi Tony,
Just wanted to say I'm still thinking of you and sending gentle hugs- lost my dad 4 years ago and still miss him hugely, so my heart goes out to you and yours-it's that terrible feeling of helplessness when you can't put things right for them that is so hard to come to terms with. Do take care of yourself- your dad isn't suffering any longer, he will be at peace and at rest and part of him will live on in you.Hope things sort out more today.
Blessings

So sorry Tony, thinking of you x

thank you all..
We are now sat having a cuppa halfway home. The un helpful people in skeggy registry office would only give us an out of hours emergency appointment on thursday afternoon but admitted that it would have been sooner if we had been of a different religion.. I am disgusted beyond belief.. And will be complaining later. In the meantime Janet has arranged for am appointment tomorrow morning in Leeds at the registry office near us. Bit of bloody difference.... :x
So, we are heading back home. And hopefully we will be seeing the funeral directors tomorrow afternoon and things can start moving forward.
Please please please don't ever get ill in Lincolnshire...Me-Tony

Hi Tony and Janet
Rest up as much as poss when you get home it is a long drive and tomorrow looks as though its gonna be another busy one.
Take care

I'm glad that you've returned to Leeds, Tony. The registry office there sounds much more efficient, but then it's run by Yorkshire folk, isn't it?
You will feel better to be back in your own home and you will be able to plan your Dad's funeral now.
Take care

cheers girls
I've been trying to sleep since coming rip bed at around eight o'clock...
Full dose of meds onboard plus a diazepam... Not much chance yet..
At least I have my furry purry pillow back.. I think he's missed us just a little lol.
He went mad when we walked in and hasn't left my side since bless him.
He was so pleased to see us he started drooling like a boxer dog  Lol
For those of you wondering what the Hell I'm on about, it's our super cat Ra, aka the Great White Dope.
He was laid across my feet a minute ago, now he's in his spot just above my head where my pillow should be... I get relegated further down the bed I've missed the big silly lad..
Oh, I'm sooooooo sooooooo tired and I hurt sooooooo bloody much.. I just wish that things would have gone smoother in skeggy. Mum has been distraught.. Hopefully tomorrow we should be able to get enough documentation to take with us to thee funeral directors in the afternoon. Then we may be able to set a date finally.
Mum wants everyone to wear something nice and bright, no morose clothing etc.. And where possible, Leeds United shirts. I dare say there will be many of those on the day.
I've got mine.. Just need to go have done lettering done.
On the day, would you please lend me any spare spoons that you may have? I've already broken into next months supply and am most of the way through them too. I think once it's all over with I'll collapse for quite a while... Thank God for auto pilot. I have no idea how I've managed to keep going so far. These past few weeks since Dad first became ill have just been a very painful blur..
Right, hopefully the predictive text hasn't made too many mistakes as I can't be bothered checking through it.
Will now attempt to sleep. Thank you for reading my late night mumblings. I blame the drugs lol
G'night one and all.Me-Tony

Spoons on there way...to a yorkshire bloke who needs them much more than I do.
I can't believe the rubbish you've had to go through and hope and pray that things are sorted soon.
Please let us know as I have old Leeds shirts that belonged to my brothers I'd be happy to wear one for your Dad.Elland road is the only stadium I've ever been to....way way back and that wasn't for the football it was just to keep an eye on the lads.
Tony...you need to rest. Auto pilot aside once things are sorted there is nothing more you can do and you have a gruelling day ahead.
My thoughts are with you all. May ((((()))))0 -
I'm really sorry you have had to put up with such unfair treatment and it does make the blood boil doesn't it? glad you made your feelings felt.
You will find an inner strength to get through all this I know you will.
Take care

I'm sorry to keep repeating myself but THANK YOU!
The spoons will be treasured and gratefully accepted...
We had an appointment with the registrar in Leeds this morning, talk about worlds apart with the way they were. It was a young lass and she was great. Very very helpful. We were then able to go to an appointment with the funeral directors... We actually have a date
So, if I may be so bold, could I ask anyone with a Leeds United top if they would wear them on the 28th of this month for my Dad.. Mid afternoon funeral.
I cannot express the relief we are beginning to feel. I know there are still hard times ahead but at least now we know we are moving forward.
The support on here has been incredible.. You are a wonderful bunch of folks and I truly hope I can repay each one of you in some way...Me-Tony

Tony, I have only just caught up with this. You have had such a nightmare, at a time when you need everything to go smoothly. I can't believe that man laughed  it is outrageous
I hope from here on everything runs like clockwork for you.
Try and get some rest when you can. ( I used to work with a lad who was a leeds united supporter )0 -
Hi Tony
I'll be in your pocket on 28th, complete with Leeds Utd top (borrowed), hope all goes well.
We are having my FIL's funeral on 20th August at 12.15,having had none of the devastating problems you have encountered, just a blimmin long wait for a crem slot! :-(
