Ah yes she did enjoy her duvet day Christine...until she and Charley played 'pie face' in the kitchen with whipped cream on the 'hand'!

Some clearing up to do afterwards ;)

I'll try again on Monday to get through to the ortho :)

    Love

Thinking of you both on Monday, both for the chemo and trying to ring the ortho. xxx

When I had my 2nd TKR my designated nurse was brilliant. Back then you were in for almost 2 weeks so we got to know each other well and, it being Wimbledon time, I discovered she loved playing tennis so I bought her a box of good quality tennis balls. Maybe Dr Tim has a hobby?

A friend who has just spent all too long in hospital made up a box of W**tr*s* products for the nurses' breaks. Good quality coffee, a selection of teas, yummy biscuits etc.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I rather like the hamper of goodies for the nurses breaks - I could include fruit as a lot of them are watching their figures.

Dr Tim will definitely be really pleased that Lucy has done so well. She was in the high risk group and really suffered.

Now what food does he like Joan? That's an idea....a posh meal for him and his wife??? Mmmmm???

    Thanks Joan

I got through to the orthopaedic surgeon's secretary this morning and Lucy is on his list.

Apparently she should get an appointment in about 6-8 weeks.

I phoned Paul in Scotland and he said to phone back to see how much it is to go private. She is struggling a bit ATM.

6-8 weeks does seem quite a way off if Lucy is struggling. If you do decide to go private, I hope it isn't too much but I guess that doesn't really matter when it comes to our kids. xx

I'm sorry Lucy is suffering. She's a brave girl and no mistake. Hope the appointment comes through sooner rather than later. Sending you both massive ((((((hugs)))))) h025.gif
