Ok.

X-ray done on arrival (2nd one requested or shoulder).

I think the consultant said that Lucy's AVN is in her hip and thigh bone - well we saw that on MRI. Not to worry about the thigh bone, but the femoral head isn't good. 70% chance of needing hip replacement ultimately, but for now he suggested we consider 'percutaneous core decompression'. If we try it, it has to be done soon. :?

We agreed to another appointment in 6 weeks (will be 8 - 31st May) to make decision. If she goes ahead it will be done in summer holidays.

As I suspected he doesn't 'do' shoulders as well as hips so referred her to a Professor so does.

All letters dictated while we were there. Copied in to Dr Tim and neuro, us and GP.

That's some decision to make. I hope you can enjoy your holiday without worrying about it. And having to see someone else for her shoulder? Just more appointments but, as usual, you will all be strong enough to get through this next stage. xx
