Lucy and I will be busy finishing off her gifts this weekend ready for the 'big day' on Monday. Nurse Charlotte is busy making plans.....
Can't wait (but still terrified!)
Will try to get a photo of the last ever chemo. Oddly enough it's the same one as the first ever.
Neck is much easier thanks Joan

Hi Toni,I saw it was Lucys last chemo tomorrow and lo and behold my computer popped up with a reminder which I had put in ,unfortunately it also reminded me our council tax bill was due.
My family and I would like to wish Lucy all the best for tomorrow, "Way to go girl you can show us a thing or two" love from all the Migs. Mig0 -

I thought you might like to read what I have put in my own thank you card:
On 4th January 2016 Lucy arrived here, at the YPU, from Stafford Hospital.
A blood test there had revealed cancer in her blood, she was 16 years and 3 weeks old.
We didn’t get time to talk to family and friends, ‘pass Go’ or collect our £200!
Lucy was put into bed 19 in a 4 bedded bay.
It was to become her ‘home’ for weeks as she began induction for ALL.
The staff and patients were to become our ‘family’ and friends.
Everyone: from the Domestics, Ward Manager, Doctors, ( including Dr Sarah who always has a smile even though she never treated Lucy and patiently unlocks the door for us all!), Nurses, Student Nurses, Social Workers, Teacher and Youth Support staff plays their part in making this ward a genuinely special place.
There is nothing more serious than cancer at any age, but as a teenager/young person it seems catastrophic. Not everyone recovers, but in spite of this fact the staff are able to create an atmosphere full of positivity as well as competency with a big chunk of humour thrown in for good measure.
Lucy’s fear of needles was a bit of a challenge as was her anxiety about ‘hospitals’ full stop!
It felt like everything that could go wrong did for her; infections, liver injury, terrifying seizures and severe sickness requiring medical support.
In fact I think we must have spent the best part of 2014 in the YPU!
I am so very, very grateful for everything every single one of you did to help Lucy through her treatment.
I feel well-qualified to say I am lucky, not at all lucky to have had a child who had cancer, but so lucky she was treated here.
Thank you all
