A week off :o What will you do with yourselves? I bet you've forgotten 'normal life'. I do hope you both manage a good, profitable and hungry week :D

Not that surprising that her appetite has taken a hit - I remember when my hardware was infected (undetected) and after I'd had a bout of fever my appetite went AWOL for about a month. I hope that Lucy's returns quicker than that.
Been thinking of you just not been able to get on here due to the evil that is work! Still sending positive thoughts your way. Roll on the last treatment before maintenance!!!! xxx ((()))

    Good Morning Everyone

Frogmella germy time of year for you I think :? Lucy will not be in school yet awhile  I also hope the appetite returns faster than yours did.

Lucy is resting without the interruption of IV alarms, 'obs' bloods etc  I am causing trouble already having decided to clean my oven and managed to break the seal  Good news is replacement DID arrived in 24 hours so Paul has a job for later

Christine thank you I think you're right tonight we are going to her favourite eatery for their fish and chips :)

Joan Thanks to you too I hope you have a great weekend yourselves. Will PM you our new email address when my stepdaughter arrives back form her hols - the one I thought it was doesn't seem to work :?

DD We are still smiling too. Lucy is weak and tired, but HAPPY :) Had to get Charley to fetch her 16 spring rolls for her dinner yesterday
    i040.gif (still smiling )

Marrianne thank you so much :) I hope you have the best weekend possible too.

On a sadder note a lovely lad was laid to rest yesterday who we only met for the first time (newly diagnosed) during Lucy's last admission.

We know just how lucky we are

    BUT..............

The sun is out and all is well

love and huge ((())) to all of you

Sixteen spring rolls? I hope they were the five inchers in length that Mr DD buys from our Chinese!

Ye gods, yet again I am in awe - what a fighter your girl is yet again proving to be, and bless her big sister too because that was a lovely thing to do. I hope you have all had a lovely day and that Lucy has continued to eat as well as possible: you too my lovely, for very many motherly reasons (says she who ain't a mother). DD

Didn't think anyone could eat 16 spring rolls. Well done Lucy. That was good of Charley to go and get them for her. Sad news of the young lad but just shows what a fighter Lucy is. I'm sure replacing the seal will keep Paul busy. Hope you all enjoyed some sun today.

Good Morning Joan, DD and Christine :)

Yes 16 spring rolls....unfortunately the wee ones DD yes it was good of Charley to fetch them wasn't it - but I think she wants to help.

Thank you Joan we ARE enjoying the weekend so far.

We went to our nearest pub last night where she had fish and chips (not all of it, but non-one could!! and a friend of Lucy's, who was waitressing, suggested they meet up tomorrow afternoon after her blood test :)

Today Tia my step-daughter goes to University for the first time. I am not sure whether Lucy will be awake in time to come along, but if she's not Charley said she will stay here with her.

Take care everyone and thank you

    love

I am in awe of anyone who can manage 16 spring rolls, wee or unwee. Well done, Lucy :D And well done Charley, too, for fetching them and for offering to stay with Lucy today.

Good luck to Tia. I remember when my elder son left for college. The only betrayal of his emotions was that he actually, for the first time in his life, hugged his younger brother

For now she is being given a week off treatment (though bloods will still need to be taken  ) so next chemo is on Monday 22nd.

That should be the last before maintenance

What absolutely 'great-big-smile-worthy' news that is :D within my means, I may even do a little toady jig. :D

and fish & chips too, brilliant. Just brilliant.

Thanks for the best news of the week. xxx

Glad Lucy is home, did you get my email, I think you sent something to me instead of another friend!! It's easily done! I hope she will improve over her week off and enjoy it as much as she can. Sounds like she is slowly getting her appetite back which is a good thing. Sending you all big (())'s

Well, the chemo-free week went out of the window yesterday - after her bloods the docs decided she was well enough for a dose so she was dosed. :( They were able to go home afterwards though, so that is a better thing. :) DD

I guess it's good that she could have it. It does seem an odd kind of 'good' though. I hope both can relax a bit now.

Hello all, a brief update. Lucy's appetite has gone AWOL again but Frog is tempting her with all kinds of small nibbles and goodies which will hopefully do the trick to ensure she eats a little something. DD
