Good Morning everyone
Well Lucy did indeed have her last chemo of 'delayed intensification' on Monday as Dr Tim thought we ought to strike while the iron is hot.
Now it's recovery before maintenance
Lucy has got a cold, but if Thursday's bloods are anything to go by she has enough neutrophils to fight it
Joan and Christine her appetite still isn't great, but she is at least eating some food, (veggie chicken nuggets) and Paul fetched some fish and chips from our local pub - takeaway!!!
Joan - we were thinking of Peppa - is all well now?? Tia loves university and keeps sending me snapchats
Barbara when she's really well again Lucy will think of lots of stuff I hope Hoping for a few weeks off now before maintenance.
DD thank you as ever for doing PA duties much appreciated
Toady - the chemo was the 22nd's chemo early. I hope this week is uneventful too her temp sneaked up a bit (37.4 - her usual being nearer 36.4) last night but back to normal in the small hours.
Stickywicket it IS an odd sort of 'good' that the chemo went ahead earlier than planned yes :? but at least that's another ticked off
hileena and bubbadog the email might not have been a bug. I have just changed provider and have a new address, which isn't actually working yet  give me time (at home) and I'll sort it
Well I hope I didn't miss anyone out
and that you all are well
love and thanks

Oh dear! A cold is exactly what Lucy doesn't need but if she has the wherewithal to fight it that is good. I hope her appetite picks up. My old Mum used to say 'Feed a cold and starve a fever'. My love to all and hopes for a good weekend. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Not good to hear Lucy has a cold but it is good she is able to fight it. Hope recovery goes well. And then maintenance. That is good to hear. xxChristine0

Hopefully the lack of appetite is a blip. She'll have days/ weeks like that and who can blame her.
Striking while the irons hot is good although I expect she was mentally prepared for a break so it has its downsides. Still its good that it took the place of the 22nd dose and wasn't an extra.
I'm hoping she is able to fight off the cold.
So sorry to read the ward has lost another young un.
Love to you all and hope Tia enjoys uni...has she gone far away?

Morning everyone
Toady We are glad to hear from Tia in fact her bf will be popping by later to take her mattress topper up - the accommodation bed has actually bruised her hip!!
Cold will go soon I am sure of it.
Barbara I did think maintenance was never getting nearer with Lucy keeping on getting ill...but it's so close now Though 22 months is a long time isn't it? Lots of MTX and no folic acid allowed. Even have to avoid it
Elizabeth Very intuitive of you - she was metally prepared for the break and no doubt would be eating better now if she had had one, but not to worry it's done now.
Tia is only in Chester, but it's far enough.
It is so sad when we loose one of the young-uns, but we also have a wedding looming so good stuff as well
Joan we are giving the cold the best kicking we can The weekend so far has been good. Lucy's Nan (Dad's Mum) came over for a cuppa yesterday afternoon. I hope your weekend is good too.
DD thanks for the hugs and the temperature seems ok so far - fingers crossed it stays that way. we are 'risking' a shopping trip today to get 'smart work-wear' for school :?
Thanks Christine Lucy will soon have rid of this cold and maintenance has to be a doddle compared to this. She just needs to put some weight on now
Stickywicket I have had that very phrase in my head all weekend as my own Mum used to say it too. She and my Dad would have been so upset by all this. Perhaps a good job they aren't here to see it.
Love to all of you and thanks
the sun is out so I am happy

Happy shopping
I do hope Lucy can soon move on to 'next stage'. Won't that be good I'm sure you can 'fatten her up' a bit. My Mum always knew how to tempt me when I was ill with no appetite. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
