    Hi Toni
I'm so pleased that you've all got through this dreadful 2014 and that things are going to be on the up now.
    Glad Lucy is eating well.

It is difficult to believe Toni. These things only happen to other people. But Lucy is strong and she is making such good progress. I'm sure this year will be a good one for her. xx

They do only happen to other people!!!

But this time the other people were us :xmas_sad: Hopefully we are proving that it can also be beaten.

Seriously we are contemplating a visit to Primark today...maybe we'll just go to the pictures instead

Seems to me Lucy is beating it, even though there is the occasional setback. What did you decide - Primark or the pictures?

The pictures in the end - didn't want to tempt fate!

Today is the one year diagnosis anniversary. We arrived at the QE and met people who have become like family to us. It was terrifying :xmas_eek:

I have been looking back through old texts from then and making myself bawl.

Come here instead where things are more positive.

    Chemo tomorrow!

    Love and thanks

    What a year!

    You've all done so well.

Onwards and upwards and bring on tomorrow's chemo, eh?

Hello *waves* sorry no post for a bit & I missed the 2nd Jan milestone (but not in spirit), and was once again warmed around the cockles by Lucy's New Year dinner. Lovely to read. :) I don't know how you've all done it but I'm so pleased this year is 'history' & a new one is under way for you. xxx

Good Morning everyone and thank you for your posts :D

So far we have had a good start to 2015 :)

Lucy had her chemo on Monday with no problems and Dr Tim has increased her oral chemos a bit as her bloods remain good. He thinks the weight gain is helping her to tolerate more :)

We have been out and about a bit - taking things back which don't fit and shopping for food together. Lucy has even cooked some (with support) like she used to.

She has also made some decisions:
    1. She will go into Paul's work and do some admin for him 2 days a week
    2. We will go and look at local colleges for her hairdressing course in September (she will also see where all her friends are)
    3. To have a tutor to help her with her English and maths :)

Next week she will be going to a hairdressers near the hospital with all the other girls whose hair is now re-growing to have it 'done' and gain some advice :D

So a busy and good time al round.

I hope you are all well and that your fences and wheelie bins are all still where they should be

    Love and thanks

Never mind the fences and wheelie bins. They pale into insignificance compared with you, Lucy etc.

I'm so pleased she's doing well. Definitely a better start to the year. And planning for the future too. That girl is a star, no doubt about it. (I wonder where she gets it from :D )

Thank you Stickywicket, Joan, Marie and Christine

I think Lucy rather feels as though she's lost a year of her life (personally I think it's been an investment!!) and is determined that this year will be more productive. :D

Positivity is the name of the game and Lucy is a very determined individual. Not sure she gets it from me though :?

    But thank you all :D

    Love
