Thank you mig, stickywicket (I have a good imagination) frogmella, Joan, Marie and Barbara. Elizabeth, Christine and Hileena!

Phew!! You lot are so kind  I Hope I haven't missed anyone.

We've had another great week (ahead of chemo next week and possibly Intrathecal so we'll see :? )

Friends coming over again tonight to see Lucy and some have been in the week. So plenty of laughter :D

The kids old playroom is now a 'proper' gym with the arrival yesterday of the mirror :D

    th_20150130_170008.jpg

Hopefully you can see. Guess whose is the pink chi ball!! The aqua one has been great for building Lucy's core strength that the steroids weaken. The cross trainer is the one I bought with my nectar points :)

I have been very busy sorting out Lucy's charity night for Teenage Cancer Trust and Cure Leukaemia. The 'new' date is April 10th.

They have been very helpful, providing advice and letters so donators know I am genuine  they suggested I set up a just giving page because some people will want to donate money. Now it's very important I tell you all that I am NOT after any money, really. The money should be raised by the items donated in the raffle or auction.

I'm only saying this because some of you will see the link on facebook.

BUT if anyone has any contacts at all with famous footballers etc who can get anything worth auctioning please do PM me :)

This is starting to feel scarily real :?

love to you all and thanks

    Toni xxx

PS hello again Joan :) You have a good weekend too!!

Well done to all the frog family :D I hope next week goes as well.

In my days as Charities Officer for my RDA group and region I found local rugby and football clubs very good at helping out. Also anywhere that supplies (free) tickets ie theatres, sports grounds, local attractions (google them) etc. They often supply 'family tickets' and these are really useful prizes as there's no problem just posting them to a winner - unlike a large hamper etc

Your gym is looking good. Love the mirror. You are doing very well organising the charity night. I'm sure it will go amazingly well and you and Lucy will have fun.

    Thanks Christine :)

By the actual night I reckon it will be great fun - all the preparation is the hard work isn't it?

Have started letters ready for different situations.

I have been advised to take Lucy with me when I go round the local shops. Feels a bit exploitative to me, but if she doesn't mind and it gets us more donations....... :?

    Love

I can see why you could feel it's exploitative but to meet your girl in person will surely have a more direct impact, it will be more personal (and render it harder to say no  ). For sure this is going to take a great deal of work for the pair of you but it's in a very worthy cause and will help others in the future because, sadly, there will be others in the future. :(

I love the gym! You have done so well to kit it out and it's a resource for the whole family, yes? I hope the treatments go well this week and don't wipe her out too much. As usual I send hugs and love. ((( ))) xxx DD

I see your dilemma about taking Lucy but I guess she will be the most beautiful visual aid. I hope it goes well.

Hi Toni, just caught up on how you & Lucy have been, I'm glad she has been well enough to have had a girly night with her friends and eating pizza! It must have warmed your heart to hear her laughing and enjoying herself.
Sounds like sorting the charity night has given you something to get your teeth into. How's the chemo going ?

It might be a good idea to take Lucy with you if you are going round the shops. I'm sure the shopkeepers will appreciate meeting Lucy and finding out from her what she is doing and why. Hope it's going well.

Hello frog family, just catching back up and admiring your lovely gym :D and reading up on the plans for April I imagine the 10th will seem plenty far enough one minute and then.. not so far, so well done for getting on so well at this early stage. Hope to read of interesting and generous 'things' being donated.

As we're at the end of the week, hope any treatment has gone ahead & presuming it has, has gone well. xxx

    Hello everyone :)

Thank you chemo went very well on Tuesday and clinic. We caught up with lots of old chemo friends (didn't expect to) and nurses as well is Dr Tim :)

Intrathecal is booked for next Friday - 13th :?

Charley is going to come with us.

Toady yes the 10th seems a long way away now, but suddenly it will be here and I will be panicking!!!

We have been envelope stuffing this week and Lucy is going to come with me into as many shops as possible Christine, DD and anyone else who agreed.

Lucy is having a friend over this evening too and Paul will run her home afterwards. It is LOVELY to hear laughter I really don't mind because it's normal :D

She is going to be an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust too.

I have signed up several members for my gym ;) Charley and her friends who are welcome :) No fee.

Bought a rowing machine off e*ay for £62 (from Dundee - don't worry Paul was up there this week). I had been watching one nearer here in Brum, which sold yesterday for £121.99!!!! They retail at over £300 so I am pleased with my bargain. For Paul that :)

Thank you DD, Stickywicket, Joan, Barbara, Christine, Bubbadog and Toady

The charity event sounds like a great plan! This is hard for me to write as a West Brom fan, but might Aston Villa help out. Didn't one of their players have to give up recently because he had leukaemia? They are local and might donate a shirt or something. They could do with some positive PR too!!!!
That gym looks very posh! Hope things continue to go well for you.

EXCELLENT Idea Frogmella...added to my list :)

Christine - I only go for a walk on the treadmill, but Lucy and Paul will be super-fit won't they? and Charleyhas her

2nd interview for ambulance service this Tuesday coming

Thanks Joan I hope you and Sue are ok sending warming ((())) back xxx

Barbara, mostly all is well with chemo friends, but one not so. His Mum hardly speaks any English at all so we do facial expression and thumbs up/down. He's in a side-room ATM :(

Thank you all fingers crossed for Friday 13th and of course for Tuesday for Charley :?

The rest of the week charity-work

    Love to you all
