Well Lucy is going from strength to strength at the moment
She's still eating so well I have stopped worrying about that or drinking and she can drink fizzy drinks again if she wants to without disastrous consequences.
She helped Paul out at work again this week and I took Charley for her first interview for the ambulance service (this cancer has affected us all - some for the good ). She got through and has second interview looming now.
Last night Lucy had some friends over (just like Charley and Tia used to) and they had pizza. I love hearing her laughing and just being a normal 17 year-old.
The only sad thing is that the first of her friends has passed her driving test and Lucy can't learn until the seizures have settled.
Christine, Joan, Toady Barbara, DD and Stickywicket, Marie and Hileena thank you so much for popping by and thinking of us. (hope I didn't miss anyone  )
Love to you all

It is so good to hear that Lucy is able to be nearly normal again. Pizza and laughter sounds good to me. I hope things continue to go well for you all. Driving isn't all it's cracked up to be! I didn't learn until I was 20 I think. She will get there in the end.
Ambulance service, what a fantastic job to want to do. I hope she gets through.
Still thinking of you.

Hi Toni
That sounds a fantastic time in your house....really normal.
Now...how are YOU??????
Are you getting time to look after yourself properly?
Listen to your mother
As for Lucy's driving......remind her what age I was when I started although admittedly it wasn't all to do with seizures.
She'll get there....a bit later than her friends but when we talked I don't think she really thought about things like that????
Love to you both

Lucy is doing so well. And so is Charley. What an amazing mother they must have! Anyone know who she isIf at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Couldn't agree with you more Sticky. It's fantastic to hear how well Lucy is doing. I was 50 when I passed my driving test so she has plenty of time. How wonderful for you to be able to take Charley to her interview. Good luck to her for the second interview.Christine0

I agree with Applerose, plenty of time for the driving. Its a very expensive business now!
Lovely to hear you were able to accompany Charley to the interview and she got through the first part. Good luck with part two, I'm sure she'll pass.
so nice to read Lucy had her friends round for pizza, fizzy pop and giggles!
More snow is heading this way this week......
