Hi Toni
I'm glad you are on the mend now.
I bet it helped "nurse Lucy" to know she was helping you a bit rather than the other way around.
She is great.
Hope things go well for both of you

Oh but I wish you'd seen her hobbling off to the kitchen, glass in hand splashing water!!!
She is indeed luminary Stickywicket and yep I have been the masked Mum
Joan - thank you so much I hope this week goes well too - especially the blood results so we can see how her body is coping on the new regime.
Yes Hileena - I am sure Lucy 'enjoyed' helping me a bit bless her. So long as she doesn't try to do my flu jab
She's having a good afternoon with a friend ATM

Great to hear you are feeling better Toni. I'm sure Lucy was only too happy to look after you for a while. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Lucy's bloods show things are going exactly as they should.Christine0

Morning Toady, Barbara, Christine and Mig
Thank you very much for posting
Fingers crossed yes for the bloods to be looking good Toady and Christine. They have to be careful as Lucy is already on medication for her epilepsy which puts pressure on her liver as do some chemos.
Thanks Mig I am very proud of Lucy - not so sure about me though  and Barbara I am certain she enjoyed helping out she's a do-er if you know what I mean.
Did someone say the flu jab could go ahead?
Here's to a good week for all of us

Can I say maintenance looks daunting! I'd need to write everything down and constantly check I was doing things right.
Glad to read you are feeling better now.

Good Morning everyone
Thanks to Joan, Hileena, Stickwicket, Barbara, Christine,Toady and Elizabeth
Don't worry Elizabeth I can remember the plan and it repeats so it's easier than you think.
Lucy has had a good week this week - bloods were ok so far only thing highlighted was anaemia, but not too bad so no action yet. Though we see Dr Tim this Tuesday so will see what he thinks after more bloods have been taken.
Her hair is really starting to grow back
It's been such a good week that we have started to look towards doing our own fundraiser to give something back to those who have helped us:
1. School can do a non-school uniform day for the YPU at the QE that will raise well over £1000
2. The local football club have given us BOTH of their rooms for a 'do' on 20th February free. We already have some donations; two meals for two at our local pub (where Lucy likes to eat fish and chips) and balti-house
and this afternoon she is going to the football with Paul (while I go to the supermarket) so she really must be feeling better
Love and thanks to all of you

Frog, you have the knack - given to very few people indeed - of making my eyelids prickle.
So, the minute there is a slight improvement you two are looking to what you can 'give back'.
I shall write no more because I don't do soppy but thank you both for what you give to me.
And good luck for Tuesday. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Toni
That is great news.....hair Really starting to grow back.....and all the fund raising you are doing!!!
Lucy going to the football....so she must be feeling OK LOL

Great news all round.
I'm glad to read her hair is growing back now and you have started on the fundraising and already have some lovely prizes lined up.
Wonder what team she is going to watch? I'm a little envious (only a little as she thoroughly deserves a day out) as its been ages since I attended a match.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Christine - thank you it WILL go well the fundraising I will make sure it does
Elizabeth - Lucy went to see Hednesford Town. They drew, but she loved itThey are also known as 'The Pitmen' being historically a mining town
Hileena - she is feeling betterMuch better and Paul really enjoyed taking her. She was exhausted when she got home though.
This afternoon I am hoping we will take the chance to nip to the cinema while she has some neutrophils
I hope you all have some sunshine like we doLove
