I have not made scones from scratch, but that sounds about right. Yes the mix was easy to use and didn’t taste too bad at all although of course I’m sure they don’t compare to proper home-made ones

I walked a bit earlier than usual today which was good but

both parents were having medium strength tantrums at that time, so I couldn’t find my glasses. Oh dear

so I walked without them. It’s okay. My vision isn’t too bad but it is a bit frustrating to be without one’s spectacles in the relatively early hours - goodness only knows what Jane Austen would say about that

maybe if I fashioned myself a handbag made of cucumber sandwiches to keep the aforementioned glasses in, with the inside layer being solid cucumber to cool the glasses down?

well it’s an idea but I don’t think it’s actually become destined to become a top seller or nosegay unfortunately

Morning Stuart I am so so sorry that your jab didn't work this time. They usually help you mind it might yet. The one i had in my shoulder took about 10 days to work (although it didn't last even 2 weeks after that) so fingers crossed. Have you got an apt yet with a consultant? ((())) xxx

How did you get on at the osteo? Glad to hear your BP is actually ok scary isn't it when it spikes. Shame though because l find the anti-inflams (found should l say) the most effective in a way for pain.

Now I understand about wanting to keep the mileage down on the Beemer. Hidden in the garage in the garden Paul has a porsche (really, but I am not keen) which he drives only to keep it working well and for services. It has very low mileage. I keep saying it's not worth having if you can't enjoy it. So get out there treat yourself!

I am indeed watering the garden or at least I was apart from yesterday which nature did for me. My girls loved a sprinkler to run through I have photos somewhere…..l wouldn't post them here anyway of course, but for them so look at.

You didn't get the storm? Wow! It was good too I was actually driving in it. Only saw to flashes of lightening, but the rain! It was lovely and windy and cool. Warm still by bedtime. The Weather Gods were kind to you, but did they keep you cool enough to sleep last night?

Morning Toady Elfie was out of sorts was he? Oh dear poor lad he wanted to go on site with his Dad. Well he'll cheer up today as we will start loading up the motorhome I think😊 Sleek was fine by the evening (thanks for cheering her up after her ordeal at the vets) and feeling fine. I expect her bones feel way better today. Unfortunately she does continue to lose weight the vet said feed her as often as l want and as many treats as she likes. Bless her. Well she definitely likes her treats!

Supposed to be my puzzle but Elfie enjoys doing them too bless him. I have got a small one for him to do in France. It is a wasgij but small.

Afternoon all 👋 lovely weather for those that like it. 🌞

Never actually had any thunder &c here frog 🤷‍♀️ bit of an overcast heavy spell that was it really, and nothing stormy forecast here either. Bit of rain overnight and tomorrow that's it for a while, so I will be able to leave the roof to itself 👍️. Kind of Elfie to admire my loft, it is actually quite tidy at the moment (case of having to, with people having to go up there) and as you know I boarded the dodgy end so perfectly safe for elves 😊. A little wasgij of his own, he will love that 😊. Duly noted that I can ply Sleek with treats 😽 I will be getting my grocery shop shortly all being well and I can hop to the door 😬. Ankle much the same it's just a matter of time, but I am getting about ok, aside of being annoyed because it is holding me up with some jobs 😕. Is there much more cat feeding to do? Hope you got on ok at A**a, I have been entertaining Sleek and Elfie as best I can so I checked online for ideas what sitting-down board & card games etc 3 can play, the first search result (for teens) suggested 'scary games' & 'drinking games', there will be neither of those I assure you!! 😮 I will let you know how my beans get on, I still have surplus stuff to plant out too, hollyhocks etc, must give thought to where. Hello Joan, thank you, my ankle is being rested mostly 👍️ there isn't much choice really, I don't always do the sensible thing but it would be silly to hurry the healing process. At least with arthritis you always have an icepack handy and anti-inflammatories etc! I'm sure it won't take too long it isn't very painful, lucky it wasn't worse. That's a good thing Brenda taking the electricals, I noticed last time I was there that 🐝&Q will take them but no bus stops near enough so yes would have to give them to someone who drives. I took my last few things to the local tip and just asked the staff nicely, even though that's cars only really they will take things off you. It is really quite warm so will have to water at some point, I will be careful 👍️ have a good day 😘 xx

Thank you for the nice interesting post bosh, funny about the glasses 🤭 well not that you were without them but the rest of it. There are less-likely seeming products out there than the cucumber bag tbh 😄 I like the scary sandwich. Yes very annoying ankles, obviously wrists or something isn't nice and inconvenient too but doesn't stop you getting round the house. Too hot for me even to go walking at the moment though so at least I'm not missing some perfect weather. Sorry that "..what a surprise" don't often send offers, turn of the century haha, I've probably said I have a loyalty card with Superbug 🐛 they don't do much either except the 3 for 2 type thing and I've shopped less since they put the min order for free delivery up. Glad you aren't at work today Jojo and the wrists are better, how much of that is the splint do you think? I had one I was bad at using it 😳 mainly designed for my fingers, it was a 'resting' one such a big awkward thing I should have persisted with it really. Hope the weathe maybe turns round for you tomorrow, every time I look mine says something different so you never know 🤞xx

When I started my first job I would always clean the bike I’d been using all week on a Friday evening when I got home so it was all shiny for my second job as a motorcycle instructor at the weekend. I have always been the same since, and very much obsessive about it.
