You can have RA but it not show up in your bloods. There are quite a few on here have been like that.
Then further down the line it can show up.
I was lucky, my GP came to see me, she decided to see what sort of arthur I had. My tests came back with a high level. Since then I have been diagnoosed with RA OA then a bit down the line PsA.
Have they tried you on steroids?
I'm still here.0 -
Not oral steroids but have had steroid jabs in various joints, last ones in shoulders in December, settled things down for about a month, but these not too bad at the mo. Had awful Rheumatology appointment in Dec, saw a registrar who had a student with her, she spoke more to the student than to me, no explanation of what it meant to have OA or how debilitating and painful it can be, was in a state of shock at first and thats what led me to finding this site, its been a godsend, helped to answer my questions and had such a warm welcome from everyone.
You sound like you have a lot on your plate, didn;t even realise it was possible to have more than one type at a time until I came n here. It makes me feel humble when I read how much people such as yourself are suffering. Do you get any relief and do you have good support, a partner, or family. I'm so lucky that my husband is a gem he's so good to me, don't know what I'd do without him really when things are bad. Oh god I'm going to cry now, sorry for going on so much. xx0 -
Brenda
Crying sometimes does you good. It it so nice when you have a good hubby as well.
My hubby is a gem too. He is also my full time carer too. I do see District Nurses as well.
I'm almost house bound. I also in a wheelchair all the time as I cannot walk.
Do you know there are over 200 types of arthur. I got a shock to me when I first joined here.0 -
I'm so sorry to hear that you are so unwell and almost housebound, don't know how you cope with that. You must be a very strong person. I'm so glad you haave a good hubby to look after you where would we be without them. Do you manage to keep in touch with friends etc.0

Hi Julie, Joan, Trish and anyone else I am bound to have missed. Sorry you had a bad night Trish, not sure what happened to the candle, it was well alight. Hugs to all.
Just having a cup ofwith my pills, which are much needed.
We had a stall today at a little fair in the village hall, antiques, crafts that sort of thing and we had a lot of things surplus to requirement so we thought it would be nice. Managed to last until 3pm then I was in complete agony and we packed up and came home. It was quiet by then anyway. Sold a fair few things, so it wasn't in vain.
Will not be long before I land on the memory foam, am feeling a little jaded here.Too much excitement for one day and was up at silly o clock this morning.
Hope everyone is taking lots of care and is as ok as possible. Will see you after some zzzzzzzzz XX BubblesXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0 -

Afternoon All
Sorry not sure who is bed, out shopping or doing something. It grey and dull also cold here. I will have a coffee.
I think Val must have been lucky and got away alright. I caught part of the news and thought the planes were not flying out from Spain yesterday. I do hope she got there. She was so looking forward to go away.
I will have a coffee and sit near the window. Hubby called doctor out as I got worse during the night. and I have a chest infection as well.
I'm taking AB's now. Hubby found a local chemist open so he was able to get them this morning.
I hope you are all ok.
