hi everyone
Sorry such a flying visit again.
Hi Trish so glad to see you are still singing and full of merriment!
Annie and that brandy seems to be doing a good job of keeping spirits up. I hope the hospital visit went ok and that the new meds give you some help with the pain.
Cris, hope the feet a little less painful today, it has just been so cold and wet for you for so long. Hang in there.
Sorry haven't been able to keep up with all the news, but am sending hugs to you all and hoping you are having goodish days.
All fine here, it is so nice to have company but I am not forgetting all of you who got me through the last few months and will be there for me when life gets lonely at home again.
I'll have a brew and a mince pie please. Maybe some of that brandy too!
Take care all

Annie

Hi Trish
Yes love, it is so nice to see the family here. Two nieces home the third can't be here till Christmas Eve as she is swotting up for exams! It is no fun being a medical student.
I'm keeping an eye on you when I can, hope your Christmas is a good one, you deserve it after the year you have had. Snow is still dreadful here, pavements like glass and cars skidding everywhere still so we walk everywhere very slowly.
But hey who cares it is CHRISTMAS and I'm having fun and even more full of merriment than you and Annie.
Take care all, will try and check in again tomorrow.
Chris

Now, I have been full of merriment for over a week. I have sung Carols to you.
I'm glad to see you are ok Chris, miss you but well you are with family, you deserve that.
Errrm What do you do when you can't sleep, you have not logged on???? so do you sit and twiddle or sleep.
Trish xx0 -
Hi all, I'm now full of brandy and merriment - I caught it from you, Trish!
I've been going to bed humming carols, much to the annoyance of hubby, who is being his usual Bah Humbug self (I know perfectly well that he secretly enjoys it, but he's never going to admit it).
A last builders for the road and then I will need to get some zzzzz, the last of the shopping tomorrow and that's it!
...........think a mince pie would go down well, a hot one with custard.......
Annie0 -
HI all, any more tea in the pot please?
Trisher- can I have a bottle or three of your merriment please? lost mine this evening   and search parties have failed to find it yet
Joy - sorry that your Christmas plans have changed and for such a sad reason .... hoping that you will get better news soon.
Chris - glad you enjoying yourself ..... hope where you are is warmer than here ........Beverley was bed enough but Bridlington got down to -6 last night and could be worse tonight  Hubby is working tomorrow in Brid (last day) so is hoping the trains get him home ok ..... can't get snowed in at work for Christmas !   Enjoy your break.
to everyone else - I hope you all enjoy the next few days, whatever your plans are.
I probably won't get on here much, as dad arrives tomorrow and will be here for the duration I think, although the way our plans have changed this year who knows ?!
just in case - Merry Christmas all!!!!!0 -
There we are Wonkey, 3 jars of merriment. Works wonders on you?
Do you want a partridge in a pear tree??
Annie

joy0 -
Morning everyone!
Just about to have a bowl of porridge with you Del..........the builders is sitting beside me. We had a very hard frost last night, the worst I've seen yet, brrrrrr.
I got woken very early by all the peeps trying to do something about getting their cars going. It was the swearing that woke me up!
More shopping this morning and the rest of house chores.........then I can put up my feet.....lovely.
Annie0 -
Morning all,
Not been in for a few days, work, work and then more work, my injections seem to be working, no pain at all but very tired and a bit weepy, never mind I have my 3 grandsons coming over tonight to stay, they are ages 7, 5 and 2 so it should be fun. We have planned to make the party hats with them, instead of buying crackers, and then I am going to get them to make up little bags of goodies for everyone to put beside each place on the table. Each hat will have the persons name on it and the boys are going to decorate them in their own style. So with Christmas carols playing in the back ground it be a very nice evening (tantrums allowing)
Therefore this may be my last visit until it is all over, I will try and drop by now and then.
Iwould like to wish you all a VERY VERY Merry Christmas and lift a glass (or tea Cup) to a much needed better New Year.
:?0 -
Just popped in for some lunch. Need a bit of cheer before my chiro' appointment this afternoon. Have just about got over the last visit.
What's the snow situation like where you are? (you didn't see that spelling mistake, called it snot  )
I see Scotland is not so good, and my granddaughter in London has said it's gone in W2, but we still have an inch or two in Northamptonshire and a horrible freezing fog coming down now. I think it may be gone by Saturday though.
One good thing to look forward to will be light evenings now that the shortest day has gone. My Hubby says he can't wait. he hates the cold.
Hope everyone gets home for CHristmas. Whatever happens, me and my hubby will have a lovely time. We haven't got a tree this year because our Yukka Tree takes up too much space. It's nearly touching the ceiling so I am going to try and get it hardened off this next summer then keep it in the garden. I will then have room for the tree. The first thing the boys asked when they came was "Where's the tree?" so now I feel guilty.
See you later

I'm all for a party trisher, valval.
Now that I am not getting Christmas Dinner cooked tonight to take over to DiL, I shall be doing the usual time Christmas Day. Except I have bought double of everything. The pastry pie case I made to put the maple pecan mix in has collapsed. Might try making another today.
I'll bring one in tonight for the party if you wish. What else? We can start here and then go over to the Cane and Able perhaps.
I think I fancy a hot choc for now while I plan a new Christmas programme. I'm sending OH out to get the last bits and pieces because I have to stay in the warmth after my CHiro session yesterday. At least the pain and tingly feelings in my hands are a bit better. Thought she was going to break my neck. Ouch very sore today.
see ya
