Hope you have all had a lovely day. It has been an all-over-the-place sort of a day. First I overslept (unusual for me). Had Brunch instead of putting christmas dinner on because we had agreed to go over and see sick DiL for 2 p.m. Didn't think we would be long. She looked so poorly and hasn't kept anything down for a week. Well, R was so pleased to see us. Somehow she had got the table all set for Christmas in the hope she would feel better. He brought out all sorts of snack things, mince pies etc.
then present time. It broke my heart to see her and before we came home she let me give her a lovely long hug.
We got home about 4 30 p.m and I put the turkey crown on with the trimmings and we have just finished our Christmas Meal at 7 p.m
So what a day. And then, another prayer was answered. OH's estranged son in Canada rang. I had been in contact with our new DiL in Canada in the hope she would be able to eventually break the ice. It was so nice that OH had spoken to both his sons today.
So enjoy the rest of Christmas. I certainly believe that life is far too short to argue and fall out. We all need each other at some time.
Goodnight everyone

And now, I have to get things ready for the 27th. We are going to be taken over by the grandchildren, all five of them.
My son came home Christmas Eve drunk. Not realising wife was in the kitchen, dark, just about to get to bed. In he walks, going Shooooo, Shushshuuuuuuuush. I'd love tohave seen him. And he only went and bought the youngest a set of drums. Heard them when I rang them first thing. Hope he doesn't bring them    :x :x

Hi Joan
Yes I had a wheelchair jive with Annie, who had borrowed my bunny slippers with the longs fluffy ears.
Yes Annie, had had quite a few drinks, then I heard a rip and one of the bunny's ears had come off, all flattered on the floor.

Happy Boxing Day everyone
It is going to be my Christmas Day tomorrow. Bit late coming on today, it sounds like everyone had a good day.
Just popped in for a cup of coffee, keep me going. Pleased the mods enjoyed themselves too.
All the family are coming tomorrow, all the grandchildren, so I have been cleaning and organising getting food ready. Turkey, Ham and Beef. More presents to open aswell and hopefully time for games with the kiddies.
We went to Tescos today. It was more crowded than on a normal Saturday. Just couldn't believe it
Anyway, back to work. I'm a bit exhausted and joints abit sore
but it will be worth it.

HI all,
glad to hear that some people have enjoyed Christmas ..... personally I am finally beginning to relax after a few rather tense and hectic days.
I have brought in some biscuits (posh choccy ones ) a huge Christmas pud and a rather boozy Christmas cake which we can't manage to eat all by ourselves ..... so please help us out as hubby is starting to lisp and list to one side having eaten quite a bit
I see the kettle is on so I'll help myself to a large builder's tea, with a side order of mince pies, maybe some cornish cream if Cris has left any, and er ............. any trifle left ?.... my favourite!
I'll leave the light on in case anyone else wants to pop in ....
hugs to all
wonky0 -
