Hi
We have a Post a Grump thread, which is great, but I thought we should have an antidote to grumpiness as well.
So this is a Reason to be Cheerful thread, on which you can post any happy or cheerful thoughts you might have.
There are no rules, and you can post as many happy thoughts as you like.

Reason to be cheerful Number1
I went to see the Birmingham Royal Ballet yesterday. They were performing ''The Sleeping Beauty''. What a fabulous evening :!: The sets and costumes were magical, and the dancers were absolutely wonderful. They are among the best dancers in the world, and they must be such dedicated people to achieve such perfection of grace and physical movement.
At the final scene, the whole cast were on the stage, and it was like a scene from a fairy story come to life. Then from the ceiling came a shower of glitter which made it even more magical. Fantastic :!:

This is a good thread. I am 6 weeks post op. I can ride my bicycle. I have a 120 degree knee bend. It started to rain so I am pleased I decided to put the washing in the tumble drier. It is Friday. I have had one hours nap and feel ready to tackle the chores now. I have done the Friday shopping and all is packed away. I am having a cooking day tomorrow. I shall be looking after my grand daughter for half a day. I see the knee consultant on Monday for my 6 week check.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0 -

Just a thought;

Today we have had sunshine, hail showers, sunshine, heavy rain showers, sunshine and light rain showers. All the daffies have opened, the wind has dropped and we're having April weather......how very cheering!

Just thought I'd mention it's new moon tomorrow. So if you want to plant some seeds, cut your hair (if you want it to grow quickly) or most important of all, start a new project, now is the time to do it.
Silver is separated from the slag on a new moon too. They cut saplings first thing in the morning and throw them in to the furnace or whatever it's called They act as a catalyst and the silver floats to the top like magic.
Here endeth the lesson for tonight.

The flowers are coming through they are now 4inches hi.
They are saying to the weather blow you whatever you throw at us snow, rain thunderstorms we will still come through and flower.
The trees have started having bud form, The grass is growning.
Spring is coming a bit late but that is better than not at all.
Although I'm housebound, I have made many friends on here, which I hope I will have for a long time to come.
I'm happy just by reading the places you go and you write about them, at least I can think about them.0 -
i got reason to cheerful. we dont owe anyone anything, got roof over our head, enough to eat, and nice and cosy inside away from the bad old world.sylvia0
